Thank you, exactly what I needed. The drive sleeve wasn't going all the way in on my new prop and kit and I was wondering if I needed to tap it in or just had it in incorrectly. Didn't want to damage anything. Thanks.

If you torque the nut to 55lbs but back it off to align the nut flats to the keeper tabs, the nut isn’t any longer torqued to 55lbs.

In all the videos I've watched about installing these Flo-Torq II hubs, nobody ever shows greasing the thrust washer but they always seem to stick when you take the prop off. Is it ok to grease the back and front of the thrust washer while you're greasing the spline?

The brass thrust washer is not properly seated in your demo.

Do I need to block the shaft from spinning while tightening or untightening the nut? How do you do that?

I have a 2018 mercury 100 hp command thrust with today a black max aluminium 17p that slips on the water under hard accelration or trimming out on the outboard. I bought a slightly used mercury vengeance 19p can i use the samme flo torq ii hub kit i use on the black max on this vengeance prop?

How do you take the old hub off? Just bang it off with hammer?

When I tighten mine up +-50 lb. mine seems like it is dragging on something along one side. It’s an old flo torq I had for years but a new / old lower due to a rock last fall. All parts are as they should be yet when I take it much beyond wheel bearing right it seems to drag in one spot. I’ve never seen this before and will stick the old style prop back on till I figure it out. Any ideas what to look for??
    Alpha 1 1St Gen. thanks

That plastic hub sleeve is holding/managing all that force when spinning the prop? Why do they get "spun"? If they are built with corners what exactly causes them to "spin" and stop working correctly? Plastic wears down? Better to replace a prop with new or punch out the spun hub and install a new one?

It's pretty rare that they become spun on their own, usually you only need to replace the sleeve if you hit something hard enough to crack it or, less often, if you are running really heavy loads, it is possible to overwhelm it and cause it to slip. The rubber hub style props have a much higher chance of slipping.

I had this system on my Yamaha f70. It was very loud at idle (chatter). The noise comes from the adapter inside the plastic. It's a loose fit. I replaced it with a Solas and it's very quiet.
