its the oil cooler. the seal inside is going out and the oil pressure is pushing oil into the coolant system ever so slighty which explains the bubbles and why your losing pressure. id fix it soon because over time the oil will get into you coolant and gunk it up. we just replaced the same thing on my friends passat and he had the same symptoms. please replace that first. please like this so he can see this and at least try!

You can buy the wiring harness that plugs right into stock harness and from there they are color coated.

Adam you should always get an adapter harness when installing aftermarket radio's. Makes the install easier and cleaner and if something is not correct it is just a plug and you still have the hafctory connector on the car not a head of jumbled wires
For the window fogging get a little microfiber pad that has like a handle so you can wipe the inside and you can see. A little trick for the humid hot days in Texas or Florida

The bumpers usually made of ABS plastic, like a oily thin layer on them.. To make the paint stick you need to epoxy primer it first.
Check your rear heater core lines.. I had that issue couldn’t figure out where it was leaking from then just happened to see it coming from the rear tire one day and found the leak

A TK test detects combustion gas in the coolant, it turns yellow due to a chemical reaction of the solution when exposed to the combustion gas. If it turns yellow very very slowly it's likely nothing to worry about, but there's usually a time line thing to follow with the tester. Glad to see it's not a head gasket problem! Looks like a combination of leaks! Good news Adam!
Those pieces are to test the radiator cap to make sure they can hold the pressure and it's never good to go over 16 psi when testing the cooling system.
chad allen yeah the stock cap should release pressure at 15psi. No reason to go to 20 psi.
Has he put a *350 LZ* badge on the back?
get the oil cooler gaskets they leak all the time for your oil in the coolant issue. usually 2 or 3 gasket o-rings that are in the sandwich plate above the oil filter !

My rx7 had the same foggy windoe issue and rain x antifog works great you should try it and it last pretty long (since its on the inside)

With age and mileage the oil/water coolers from the factory develop cracks and internal leaks. Likely the source of your oil leak into the coolant system. Most people delete the oil/water cooler to eliminate this from happening again.

The metal at the big dent is stretched heat it up with heat gun then apply dry ice. This well shrink the metal popping out the dent.

It's common on the Diesels to have a leaky oil cooler, and then the oil leaks into the cooling system. I don't know if that's the case here but that's one way that oil can be getting into the coolant.

Just FYI, the block tester can give false readings if you pull a lot of air through it. It will change back to blue from yellow if you continuously pump the bulb. Get it hot, remove some coolant and try to pump it once and let it bubble just from the heat and pressure and it will give a better reading. T Stat has to open most of the time and I’ve seen some take 20-30 minutes to fail the test. Good luck!
Hey Adam, idk if i'm the first to say this but the pieces in the pressure test kit that don't fit are to pressure test the radiator cap, and you test the cap at 15 psi, same with the rest of the system.

Adam! Check the oil cooler because on my vw passat the oil cooler went bad and that’s how the oil ended up in the coolant and the Passat is a 1.8t. Recently I’ve been leaking and found out my coolant flange is leaking check those 2 things or replace them and see if you have that same problem!

Could be the oil cooler leaking oil into the coolant. It happens on other cars with factory oil coolers.

Funny how you guys were trying to figure out what to call the shop press with it being on the label right in front of you :P Anyway it's a useful tool to have for those bushings and bearings and the like, basically anything with a press fit. Hence the name. Btw a china PDR (paintless dent repair) kit is cheap and might be a useful bit of kit as well with all those drift scars aka dents. Good work on all the projects!
Some times for plastic body panels you need to sand them for paint to stick
It’s oil canned, if your gonna respray it anyway, heat it up from the backside with a torch to about 4-600 degrees then spray cold water on it to shrink the metal so that the metal un stretches
Pro tip (if you don't have press available): You don't really have to burn the rubber off from the bushing, just cut the outer shell with reciprocating saw and then just hit it with chisel and hammer. :)
The oil in the coolant on Nicole's car could be coming from the oil filter bracket could be leaking slightly picking up enough oil to put into the water

Once you figure out what color wires are what you’ll have to splice wires from the radio to the amplifier that’s what I had to do in my 06 300c

To prevent de hit to come back inside just aply pressure from inside while hiting the surroundings of the hit with a rubber hammer
You could just go to Wal-Mart and get the adapters to connect it to the after market stereo

You need to use self etching primer for that poly so paint sticks
Do a leak down test on the 1jz. If it bubbles out the rad cap you have a blown head gasket

The oil in the coolant can come from a internally leaking heat exchanger.
Oil can enter coolant from the turbo leaking into manifold also can happen from blown out manifold gaskets
Gasket issues are more common w a v type engine.
Bad turbo seals could explain over boosting and burnt oil
The light up “240sx” look comes factory on s13 Silvia’s quarter glass in Japan so it’s nothing new, but still cool.
Replace the oil cooler, if the diaphragm inside tore you would be getting coolant in the oil. Good place to start before tearing the motor down
I don't need the car, but it'd be awesome. I've been wanting to get into drifting (I've street drifted a bit before I had to get rid of my Miata, I want to go to actual tracks though) but never had a car to do it in.
