Hey Cleet, get you some ductless mini-splits for your shop! They’re perfect for big open spaces like that. Extremely affordable and extremely efficient. However many square feet you have, multiply by 20, that’s how many BTU’s you need. Then get to that BTU number by using 3 or 4 units. I keep 2,200 square feet of high bay shop cool in the Alabama sun and it cost less than $4k to install two 24,000 BTU units.
This. I've done a few of those here in AZ, they're incredible and really power efficient. The ones I buy are from a company in Miami, so not too far from Cleet. Pioneer / Parker Davis HVAC, super helpful to talk to for sizing/support/parts. I put one in my garage 2 years ago, best decision ever for working on cars in AZ. 115F outside, whatever I want inside.

Just plain stupid to have a load over head for no reason. These kids haven't seen a construction or industrial accident with loss of life or limb. I hope they never do but that shit happens faster than your brain can process what your eyes see.
Cletus , I recommend spot cooling work areas with mini splits . Drop them down from the roof with all thread in strategically positioned areas . They are inexpensive to operate. These units come in all shapes. Dropping the down will keep you from having to cool the whole upper section of the shop Some insulated doors will help . For 5 k you could get a 3 ton setup in an area and do some experiments. I’m not a candidate for you advertising deal but I know how to think out of the box. You could mount side walls right above the tool boxes on that purlin. Screw 3:4 plywood the size of the split head that’s all you need. Over complicating air conditioning is unnecessary with deep pockets you can experiment and it won’t take long for you guys to be doing it yourself.

You didn't have to write it.. The cost to put ac in there and make it usable is a project in itself, insulating walls, ceilings, and roofs, always keeping the doors closed to the shop, fumes from vehicles running, welding, chemicals, etc. It would be nice for the guys to have it but if it was an easy thing it'd be done already. Maybe they're planning on moving shops or building something new, who knows. I'm not being a dick either so don't get mad and start talking shit.
@@Boone9269 The building is already insulated. Its super easy to put ac in that shop. 2-3 big mini split units and done. Portable welding fume extractor for the fumes. Flexible exhaust hose hookups for the dyno, just like every other dyno already has.
Shop AC is easy.... Buy a self contained rooftop unit like stores use. They're cheap used, and work great in shops/ warehouses. Don't have to be mounted on the roof either, next to the building and run ducts through the wall. Everything is self contained, just gotta hook up power.
@@Alex420DT Its insulated. Its the white backed insulation that comes on a roll for metal buildings. All it needs is 2-3 big mini split units and maybe an insulation kit for the doors.
imo they wil be better some portable direct freeze air system like the chinese use their shop is pretty bad insulated and with big doors you are going to waste a lot of electrity to keep that fresh while a small machine can be focused on the working spots

Poor Tye, he looks so tired lol. You can tell he's been putting his heart and soul into making the dale truck right, and that attention to detail is gonna make this thing fly I'm sure. Can't wait to see this rendition of the Dale truck out here hurting feelings!
Tye needs a raise!
Tye probably already gets paid very well
That man likely makes more money than the other guys in the shop, except cleeter.
Buy his shirts, I'm guessing he gets a %
@@MazdaBass971the quality custom fabrication, combined with top class welding.... thats an insane hourly rate
Stand him on a box!
Tye showing some cool stuff on this one. Great job all around
Not cleet and squirrel listening to many men by 50 cent😂 love it brother 3:01
We all heard em mobbin down the freeway to "This is How We Do" in the hemi so are we really surpirised at this point lmao
Haha I just paused on that to see if I saw correctly
I went straight to the comments when I saw it😂
Cleet loves him some 50 😂
Tye is such an asset and an amazing fabricator!
Sell whatever truck doesn't get selected for the giveaway and buy the boys some AC in the shop Cleet!
this needs to be pinned!!!!
Agreed! Get this comment to the top!
absolutely love tyes voice over build.. yall should do this with all the guys youd have content for months of build only!!!
Sometimes I forget just how talented Tye is, man can FABRICATE! I don’t know what he gets paid but I do know he needs a raise!
Cleetus pays his men alot of money. Thats why they're happy there with cleet. He explained in one video couple months ago that he pays way more than the shops where they were at before, and plus its more of a fun environment than a regular shop doing custom cars for one person. Always new stuff, nothing repetitive like a fasterproms would be doing
@@badboymorales just a figure of speech referring to the level of craftsmanship he has. I’m sure he gets paid very well
bro is the best
50 cent playing while sleet and squirrel mob around the airfield, good call.
Hate it or love it the underdog’s on top
same vibe as them mobbin in the hemi listening to "this is how we do"
Tye: Yes, the rear end was out of square on purpose. Steering the rear end to the right puts more weight on the left front tire in the corner. (I was a NASCAR super late model crew chief.)
@mister510 I was just coming to comment that rear steer is key in circle track from asphalt to dirt.
I always thought I was a fairly decent fabricator. Damn Ty is the man. His knowledge and work is amazing.
Dale was so dang iconic!!! Love seeing this thing being worked on and driven. dale would be proud, anytime getting Dale Jr. to come on the channel?? That would be epic.
I agree. But Dale Sr didn’t drive the truck. Ron Horniday did
I’m sure the boys would appreciate AC more than an RC car or other novelty gifts. They work their asses off every day and definitely deserve it. Just team up with a contractor that wants the publicity and make the install an episode. I’d watch it for sure. Derek did something similar when he put AC in his shop. He doesn’t even have employees to keep happy.
I imagine it would cost alot to put in AC. I think large ceiling fans would work well.
If I had to work in a steel box in Florida summer heat, I'd lobby hard for AC too.
I did it for 26 years in Texas, it sucks rhinoceros d**k, what was tolerable at 21 became a constant quest to get and stay in the a/c. Edit...in my 40's
Second that, gotta keep people comfortable n happy 👍 could’ve got a/c instead of wasting $$ on that shortbed swap 👀
Tye is a wizard. Give that man a raise 💰💰💰💰💰💰
Tye's experience, knowledge, and skill are so impressive really mind-blowing how good he is. The dude is a machine!
Tye for mvp.....I can't explain to you how valuable he is to the entire operation. That man is a wizard. Few and far between! What a dude
Definitely dig the fabrication vids, the goofy snatcheroonie vids, the mom prix vids, the Consuela vids and esp the Sam spray wax vids. I guess I just love this whole channel.
Tye killed it with the voice overs and fabrication! Truck is gonna rip.
“That’s a bad ditch” 😂😂😂😂
Just out here ditching.. lol
Caught me so off guard 😂
Got me dying 😂
Ditches be trippin
Naughty Ditch!
Crazy how talented Ty is!
Zach hopping away "take it back, take it back". That was funny.
How did Zack hurt his foot?
Having a running race with cleet. Rolled his ankle in the shop carpark@@HillbillyHippie530
Love watching Tye work, he’s an absolute wizard
Tye's background at CJRC is really showing on the amazing fabwork! Fantastic!
O snap that’s who he used to work for ? 👀. I knew he worked in a shop i didn’t know it was for Cj
Really loved the Tye timelapse segment of the video, he did a great job explaining exactly what he was doing and how everything works and not to mention watching a highly skilled worker plying his trade. Please do more of this stuff when the opportunity presents itself!
Midnight performance plus Tye-agra is ALL NIGHT PERFORMANCE brother!!
Love it! As a fabricator myself I love watching other people do their thing. Tye is very detail oriented and that is something i can appreciate.
3:02 Dude is obsessed with 50 cent these days I love it. Gotta get him in a video somehow!
“Youre definitely doubting the shyster…..kinda pissin me off honestly” had me laughin way too hard 😂
I wonder what would happen if you stuck Tye and Mike Essa in a shop for a month with unlimited budget
Stoked to see these Tye builds-
Extremely excited for basically every vehicle you guys are building/getting built.
LTS new body
Eagle soon
Dale Truck soon
Jet Plane soon
The only Giraffe I watch.
Tye, Mike Essa, and Johan from Adam LZ are my three favourite wizards from automotive TH-camrs.
@@xtravagentk1275 I have to add Wyatt from boostedboiz. Everything from fab to tuning, from big diesel to rotary. Guy knows heaps of shit about everything 😂
Love seeing more of the day in the life work the guys put in on all the vehicles, would really enjoy a second channel dedicated to each persons perspective/area of expertise when building a new project car/truck 🤟🏼
Shout out to the freedom factory crew ! Y’all are legends
Im so glad after all of theze years that Cleet has still got his best friend running the camera "Squirrel" they are what true friends are.. and you know Cleet has let Squirrel join in on most of his adventures because we have all seen that, so he can make a good living as well! Its good to see! But honestly not many ever leave Cleet so that tells you that they are satisfied and are taken care of i mean shoot one of Cleets biggest money making things is his merch and he has put his teams names and sayings on that as well and they get a huge cut from it! So it is safe to say that Ol Cleet takes care of the ones that help him!!
No need to throw shade on coop
What ever happened to coop?
I love when Tye is fabricating and I could listen to that music all day!
Buy a few mini splits and have tye install them. For 4-6k you could get it pretty cool. I’m sure a dehumidifier would be pretty nice aswell lol
I said the same thing, I got one in my shop for heat and cool and I love it, does both really well!
Been waiting for a vid on the ol dale truck 💪💪
Voice over by Tye was amazing really shows all the work he’s doing.
I really enjoy watching Tye work. He is so meticulous with his fit and finish.
22:20, thank you for caring george. That is very dangerous having it up in the air, hydraulic line fails or a strap and someones going to end up hurt
Just plain stupid to have a load over head for no reason. These kids haven't seen a construction or industrial accident with loss of life or limb. I hope they never do but that shit happens faster than your brain can process what your eyes see.
Tye is a badass fabricator!
A/C in the shop is a must have 🎉
Love the Tye voiceover and Timelapse!!
It would be an unreal opportunity to come work with Tye for a week! I would love to learn from his knowledge 👏🏼
Cletus , I recommend spot cooling work areas with mini splits . Drop them down from the roof with all thread in strategically positioned areas . They are inexpensive to operate. These units come in all shapes. Dropping the down will keep you from having to cool the whole upper section of the shop
Some insulated doors will help .
I’m not a fab guy whatsoever but I love watching tye and listening to his explanation of his work. Dude is a straight up GEM. Cleet, do not let that dude go anywhere
same here!
Between this, Leroy's body and the new car I don't know what I'm more excited about 😂
Don’t forget the MD!
Dude i know it’s almost like it’s the year of freedom.
Tye video!!! Finally! It's cool to hear a good fabricators thinking and how he approaches projects.
Tooter the turtle 🐢🐢 always lurking around polishing something.
Lol he called Sam ol crutches 🤣
Really liked Tye's narrative/ voice over 👍
I truly love these type of videos! I like the “behind the scenes” aspect and that I get to watch all the hard work put into this company!! Thanks for sharing!
CLEETUS there’s a cross in the sky at the 4:30ish mark!
All my employes are dying of heat but I don't know about the A/C... while you put 100s of thousands in trucks, parts, and shit. Comon brother, you HAVE TO keep your employes cool in the nasty summer heat. Can't believe I have to write this
No ac In the shop? Probably 120 in that bih
yeah i'm with you on this one. kind of goofy priorities on this one. he's dropped half a mill easy just this year alone, if not more, we don't know what the airfield cost him. a ~100k ac install should have been top of the list. i'd watch it.
Welcome to like every shop in the south 😂. Mine would get up to 185 because of the paint booth.
@@Boone9269 The building is already insulated. Its super easy to put ac in that shop. 2-3 big mini split units and done. Portable welding fume extractor for the fumes. Flexible exhaust hose hookups for the dyno, just like every other dyno already has.
Tye’s the man. Humble, unassuming, always has his head down getting it done. Man, his mind must be running at 67% just on idle . Your a lucky man having these quality guys working for you. IF IT WASNT FOR TEAM, THERE’D BE NO DREAM ©️ 😎
Cleetus got 99 problems but a ditch aint one
Ahhh cmon you gotta get them AC in that Florida humidity😭😂
Shop AC is easy.... Buy a self contained rooftop unit like stores use. They're cheap used, and work great in shops/ warehouses. Don't have to be mounted on the roof either, next to the building and run ducts through the wall. Everything is self contained, just gotta hook up power.
The building isn't even insulated or ventilated. The building needs renovated first before even thinking about AC.
You don't know how much they cost do you 😂
Never buy used you have no warranty
@@Alex420DT Its insulated. Its the white backed insulation that comes on a roll for metal buildings. All it needs is 2-3 big mini split units and maybe an insulation kit for the doors.
imo they wil be better some portable direct freeze air system like the chinese use
their shop is pretty bad insulated and with big doors
you are going to waste a lot of electrity to keep that fresh
while a small machine can be focused on the working spots
I loved tye’s narration and seeing him weld! More of the guys perspective would be awesome
@ 3:01 he’s still listening to 50!!! 😭😂
Hate it or love it?
Many men
There's blood in my eye dog and I can't see, I'm just tryna be what I'm destined to be.
Get Rich Or Die Trying is a masterpiece of late stage old school gangsta rap. New school is whack.
If Cleet cant...do it...homie, it can't be done. gonna let the mountain dew bottles pop, rods in the engine drop....
