Hi Amina, there is a lot to get done but it is manageable and it's all to get you as prepared for teaching as possible! Look to that end goal on tough days. I'm glad these are helping you and do feel free to check out my PGCE playlist xx

I completed my PGCE back in June 2021 and was a complete nervous wreck by the end of it. I was really worried about starting my ECT years and whether I wanted to into teaching in the primary school setting. I actually ran away to South Korea to teach English instead! Hahahah! Now feeling a lot better, I'm considering coming home and starting my ECT but I'm quite anxious about it and not sure if I can do it... Anyway I say all this to say thank you for your videos, they're really helpful when it comes to my decision

It's a nerve wracking process, having your own class, but you might find your new experience has made you more confident! Best of luck with whatever you decide though and thank you for watching xx

Great video as always, it's such a hard aspect to try and get all subjects knowledge into teachers in 1 year however I would suggest not enough focus is given to how to create and use data for tests/interviews/parents evenings etc

Oh my gosh, yes! Parent communication in general too! Assessments as well, how did I forget that? Doing Phonics screening for the first time and summative assessments etc. All new to me and data inputting on so many different type of softwares 😱

One year is certainly not enough. I did my BA in Early Childhood Studies before embarking on my PGCE, and sometimes I do wish I did my undergrad in Primary Education instead. There's only so much you can fit learn in a year, I really don't think it's enough.

Do you think having a two year ECT induction now is best? Thanks for your input ☺️
