  • Hello everyone,
Thank you for clicking on this video, great to have you back, or welcome if you're new! Today, I'm sharing my first video on how to write a teaching personal statement, focusing on the introduction. Let's dive into the dos, don'ts and what to include. This applies to teaching personal statements or teacher training personal statements (PGCE and SCITT). If you haven't been taught the key steps to writing a statement, this can feel overwhelming, but I'm here to help you get those ECT jobs!

Hiya, been enjoying going back and watching all your videos. I am 32 and debating a career change from midwifery to primary education. Im so worried about not being creative enough to create good lessons or boring the children! Did you find you were taught good ways of doing this?

      Hi Victoria,
If lack of creativity is the only obstacle stopping you from making the transition, don't let it be! I'm not creative and it doesn't stop me in the slightest. I would maybe recommend KS1 or KS2 then as EYFS does require more creativity than other years x
