This was the first country song that I remember my Dad playing on our old record player in the mid 60's. Always loved the guitar in it. Kenny nails it! Love these guys! Thanks, Marty ....for keeping real country music going.
Marty/Superlatives are my favorites El Paso is my favorite song they perform.Have seen them four times in the "No Uhaul state" way way out west . Hope to see them again !!! Them boys are the real deal.
Love the moment at the end, these guys have been playing together for years, but at the end of this one they knew they caught lightning in a bottle. Look at the reactions of every one of them after the last notes faded …… magic to be sure
I wish they would do a studio quality release of this song. They nail it. Every one of them does their part. Got to hear them do this live a few months ago. Just awesome!
So glad Marty is touring. He has the talent and old friends like Johnny Cash, Willie, Waylon, Kris K., Johnny Bush, and many more dead and alive that he draws from for his unique performance and his unblemished character. A true living legend, along the great Willie Nelson. Treasure these one of a kind individuals for their original voices and personalities.
Looks like the same place in Berlin where the Opry troupe played for the USA servicemen around Thanksgiving ,1949. Hank Williams ,Red Foley, Little Jimmy Dickens, Roy Acuff, Minnie Pearl, Rod Brasfield all performed.
I love watching the videos but I’m in awe when seeing them live. My wife said it looked like I was having a religious experience during the first time we went to see them.
Took my 32 year old son to see Marty and the Fabulous Superlatives this past spring in Franklin NC. He commented, "the best darn show that he has ever seen "
Ich habe bis jetzt noch nicht Kenny Vaughan (Marty's lead guitar player) gesehen und gehört mit eine Martin D45 guitarre ! Wunderbar !! Grüsse aus Elsass/Frankreich.
Wow...Excellent in every way! I can't get over how much he sounds just like Marty Robbins!! It's like someone lifted the vocal track right out of the original recording. I guess all Marty's sound the same? 😂
He went his own way and set up his own group with his family members and you see him doing back up with various singers and is on a tv series called Country Road.
Well Howdy Doody boys we can't understand a word you're singing in this venue. I guess it's all about the look and the legacy, right? Hell they don't speak English anyway.
Real musicians, real voices, real talent. No auto tune. Bravo boys!!!!
Cousin Kenny just low key killing it. What a beast!
Marty's voice sounds better than ever! The group is fabulous and superlative, as always! 😍
A marathon of a song for the vocals. Well done boys!
groupe que je suis depuis plusieur années ! avec mention spéciale pour le fabuleux virtuose de la guitare Kenny Vaughan
Love it! Marty Stuart and The Boy's keeping Marty Robbins Alive!!!

Kenny nails it! Love these guys! Thanks, Marty ....for keeping real country music going.
In the EARLY 80'S dad played Marty's GUN FIGHTER ballads on the "real to real" player. It was an AKAI "cross field".... Sure miss those days.
Brought tear to my eye, God bless Kenny, Harry,Chris and Marty!

I could watch Kenny's left hand move for hours, what a treat to get to see?hear these players up close and personal, magnificent!

Hendersonville Tennessee loves Marty. Great to see Chris Scruggs with them too!
Marty Stuart...would love to meet him. A musical giant of our times
I definitely want to meet him. Worked for months to have enough for a VIP ticket at his show in Lenoir this Feb!
Marty and his crew are a national treasure or better yet world-wide treasure! Thanks Marty!!!
simply excellent.. from a French fan.
❤ I remember this song when 6 years old

The live version in Napa back in October was stellar. What a sweet surprise that was.

Nice cover of this classic. Very well done. 👍👍
I love watching the videos but I’m in awe when seeing them live.
My wife said it looked like I was having a religious experience during the first time we went to see them.
The classic of classics!
great guitar work!
I'd be content if I could learn to play about 20 seconds of this song on guitar. I love watching them do this song.
Awesome cover!
Did not realise marty was still with us. Gotta love that generation, real men there.
Love you Marty 💖
Saw them several years ago in Colorado. One of the best concerts I’ve ever attended.
Great performance.
I reckon if you took ANYBODY who doesn’t know about Marty would come out of that theatre a massive fan of this great group.

Wow, Marty Stuart & group nailed this Marty Robbins song. The lead guitarist nailed Grady Martin accompaniment & riff in between song.
The lead singer has a beautiful voice
These guys are so so so good. It's great to witness real talent and musicianship.
Note: The dumb word "underrated" was not used in this comment.

Terrific rendition.
Kenny Vaughn still rockin on that guitar! He’s the most underrated musician in my opinion
AWESOME
The gunfighter.song was from the great Marty Robbins. Marty performs it flawlessly and with true western charm.
Have 4th row center seat in Scottsdale to see the Superlatives in April. Hopefully they'll re-create this.
Sounds like Marty Robbins with Grady Martin and The Glaser Brothers. Very good.

RIP Maty Robbins
I wonder where the original bass player is? But they did do this song good. 👍

@@raymondoakford8357 I watch that all the time on TH-cam.
Thanks for the info.
@@yvonnepeters1914,
Not to take anything away from the new guy but the band without “Handsome Harry” just isn’t same.
@@oldmanfred8676 yeah.
One of the few real country performers left. Saw Marty live with Garth and he was way better than Garth

Nice but not half as good as Marty Robbins’s. Version.
That's the shittiest sound system I've ever heard!!
Nice !............................
