    My favourite part of the build is framing! Watching a design come to physical life in front of your eyes is so rewarding. After the guys from Terrelac Properties notched 56 rafters they laid out the rafters on the plate and on the ridge board so once they got up they knew where exactly each rafter was going to be nailed down. Seeing the A frame cabin fully framed in 2 days was bitter sweet as I wanted to visualize the space but since this bunkie is only 456sqft it went up so quickly. another few days concluded our roof sheathing and roof wrap. We had a vision to give our guest Aframe cabin a companion and had another A frame wood shed built which makes for a great addition to the property.
    Thanks for watching,
    Follow along as we move onto electrical, plumbing, insulation and interior.
    Follow @haliburtonaframe on instagram for the latest updates to the build.
    Huge thanks to Terrelac Properties for another amazing build and Emmerson Lumber for our lumber package!

    Nice work. It is good to see young people pick up tools and design and build their own homes. It’s a lost art but many young people building their own dream homes now. Love the home…

    Thats a great build out. It is amazing how fast a A-Frame can go up when you plan the work out, and know what your doing. I think thats a great size for a guest house. I am looking to build one myself about that size. Keep up the hard work!

      Thanks Charles! We watch a lot of TH-cam and someone’s TH-cam inspired us to build an A frame- hope you can make your dreams of an A frame come true

      Lol! Everything in Sweden is better quality. But due to the size of ours we didn’t need much more to support this structure:)

    Very nice looks awesome i am from Toronto too ..wondering if you guys did need any permits for this or so ?

    • @m_gadventures
      @m_gadventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, all our buildings have permits it’s not worth investing in a build for the potential of someone complaining one day and having to deal with it. Welcome to the channel!

    Why not build a 4ft knee wall along the outside. That way you wouldn't lose that space

    • @m_gadventures
      @m_gadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      We thought about it and would work but we had an overall height restriction in play and the loft space was already as low as we could go

    • @Tobynsocks
      @Tobynsocks ปีที่แล้ว

      @@m_gadventures yeah I thought about that answer when I was looking at your quote-unquote scaffolding. I dont mean that as an insult cuz ill be doing the same thing. Congratulations on following your dreams. What do you think the cost of the slab on grade was you went with? I can Factor what Lumber will cost me and I can do most of the build myself but I am not a foundation guy

    • @Tobynsocks
      @Tobynsocks ปีที่แล้ว

      What's the height restriction due to local regulations or just the height at which you guys could realistically work?
