After watching a couple of the great Taipeh vlogs, I have added Taiwan to my list of "must see" places (and its very high up on that list). I looks like a really really amazing place for food and for food markets, both things that I very much enjoy.
You both doing some distance walk very good when you are young We used to do it when we are young can,t do it now we both now 79 years married for 58 in Sept, we have up our travels thank you both very much for your woundefull video .
Hi Mark, My family and I are in Taipe,Taiwan right now. We'll visit Kaohsiung and Tainan the next couple of weeks. Before we left on our trip, we watched all of your Taiwan videos. We enjoyed them very much. We did the same thing before we went to Vietnam last summer. Thank you and keep up the good work!
"Good tasting dirt" just made me think of when my grandmother was still alive, pulling fresh carrots out of the garden, giving them a bit of a wipe on the pant leg and om noming. Good tasting dirt.
Dear Mark, I love your TH-cam vidoes. It's great seeing the different places you see and eat at. I love to travel myself and eat all the local foods. Your son is Adorable.
That was an amazing video looks like a day to remember. The Tea house looked so good thanks for making us dream and showing us places that you traveled.
Was in Ningxia Night market last week, and this video rekindle my marvellous memories of Taiwan - of the foods and people - and it was great! Loving every video 😊
This guy just kills me - he is funny as heck! "It tastes like DIRT actually...a very good quality dirt..." I can't watch this at work - I always laugh out loud :-D
Only Mark can get away saying something like that without coming across disrespectful or rude. He's just way too kindhearted and innocent for it sound bad. He may not be the most eloquent or the smoothest of talkers but you really do have to appreciate that what he does say, is truly genuine and straight from the heart. He doesn't play games, he just straight up says exactly what he feels, and is almost too honest for his own good sometimes LOL. All while being super-respectful and friendly, of course!
Sawasdee Khap Mark, I am an American from San Francisco. But I have traveled over one million miles in Asia. Love watching your videos and seeing your smiling face. I cannot think of one thing to improve what you are doing….Keep it up! Fred
your videos has become my addiction whenever im eating at home. haha. somehow it just boosts my appetite so much! im glad i found a singapore video because im from singapore! next time you come please feature more of singapore's cuisine!
it is now 4 am in manila, i was supposed to sleep around 11pm, then i stumbled and emerged from this Vlog of yours of taiwan. and now i dont wanna sleep and finish it until the last day of your taiwan trip. but i have to. and also i booked tickets for taiwan and i will be going where you went thank you @mark wiens
Mark and Ying, I looooooove tea! The atomosphere and tea looked lovely :) The oyster omelet looked interesting. That was a huge market. Enjoyed. TFS :)
I love watching your videos, I really like other Asian countries, and your videos featuring different awesome places, cultures, foods & stuff is just perfect for me. looking forward for your next videos :D
Hi Mark, what a wonderful city to visit!! I know that all of Taiwan is not that modern, but I am amazed at the high rises and modern features. The omelet looked wonderful and I also loved the night market with all the fresh choices!! Thank you to you and your wonderful wife for another great video!! You two are amazing!!!
hi Mark and Ying!Day 8..Taipei..Good morning guys!Wow..The tea house is so cool and looks peaceful while you drink tea..its kinda pricey but I can tell its worth it..Talk about the oyster omelet..that looks good..but maybe without the sauce ..maybe its even better..but still looks good!and the grilled blood looks OK..I tried it before in the Philippines..its alright..love veges as well..Thanks for all the blog mark and ying..can't wait for the next blog..--Elwyn--
Keep the vlogs and delicious food videos coming Mark, they are beyond exciting. What you are doing is very inspirational to me and definitely pushes me to add traveling the whole world and tasting it to my bucket list. :)
Really love the tea shop, I can understand the cleanliness in there since you had to remove the shoes to go inside it. And that glass tea pot looks cool! I love it! :) The shops outside looked very clean too. Thanks for the nice video.
I've really enjoyed this vlog format you've been doing. I know you and your wife walk around a lot, but I still can't understand how you stay in shape eating all that food! Either way, great series. Thank you for the entertainment.
Your videos make me want to visit Taiwan again! Really miss their night market where I can feast on so many different kinds of food there! Love your vlogs! :D
Those skewers looked delicious, but the price on one was a little funny. I don't know if I'm willing to massage anyone for them. Haha! Loved the veggie assortment that was available. Everything looked so fresh. Can't wait to see more!
I guess every visitor to Taipei has been to Wistaria. Fewer to Daan, unless you got off the red line at the wrong stop and have to walk to the original Din Tai Fung. But impressed you made it to Ningxia. While there you could have really dug into the locals at Dihua street. Nigxia is definitely my favorite night market considering so few visitors end up there. As much as I love the 101, I find it more fun to sit at Frank's rooftop and watch it every time I visit Taiwan.
Is there a way I can donate money to you Mark? I am sure us subscribers are as grateful as I am to you and would love to show you my appreciation!! Thanks for all of these AMAZING videos!!
excellent... that market did seem to have much more 'formal' seating... While I love to wander the streets, it is nice to sit down and take a break every now and then! We once paid (no, I am not kidding) 50 Euros for 2 sandwiches and drinks across the street from the Vatican just to be able to sit for a moment before taking the long tour. Rome is expensive, but even Italians are impressed by that price! On a side note, how much do you work out to be able to eat like this and not put on the pounds? Is it just the walking lifestyle that keeps them off?
Maybe they used to be but not anymore. I felt very unwelcomed. Not even an English translation on a restaurant so u know what to order. Felt like they didn’t like tourists
Hey Mark, great as always. Just a quick correction though: Pu 'er Cha is actually fermented GREEN tea. All tea is green when taken off the plant. Various stages of fermentation changes its colour.
I think it's admirable how open you are to different foods from around the world
jayisoldem56 Thanks!
