Shacha sauce is the Chinese version of satay sauce from Indonesia. Early Chinese immigrants went to Indonesia and learned it from Indonesia and brought their own version back to southern China.
I stumbled on the second place late one night and it was so packed we had to try it. Best hot pot I’ve had in a long time. The owner chatted to us and every table and even made us his special sauce. Seriously Taiwanese are next level generous and kind.
To whom wants to visit Taiwan: If you like various types of food and good public transport, then Taipei is your best option. However, as long as you go to southern Taiwan (like Taichung or even Tainan) people there are more friendly, hospitable, and welcoming (just like the shopkeeper in the video.) You can have more street food choices. Mark’s trip arrangement is good because you can enjoy different local foods and customs from northern Taiwan to Southern Taiwan. I would suggest selecting Tainan as your next destination. Thanks for your video. Welcome to Taiwan!!!
@@marcinzywy9444 Thanks for your comment. I agree with you. I think the difference might be that Taiwan is rather small, so you can experience different kinds of foods and local customs without spending too much time/cost on transportation.
Chen Shacha is one of my favorite hot pot restaurants. Tourists coming to Taichung are highly recommended to go to eat it. Eating hotpot best start with Clear Soup Non Spicy (Pork Bones Soup, Chicken Carcass /Bones Herbal Soup / Light Watery Rice Porridge Soup). Seafood Dipping Sauce (best dip in fish fillet meat): Finely Chopped Parsley, Green Onion, Light Soy Sauce, Fried Garlic & Its Oil. General Chilli Dipping Sauce (My recepi): 1. Sambal Belacan Calamansi Chilli Paste (ready made in glass can sold in wet market or grocer mall) 2. Japanese Sukiyaki Chilli Sauce (Bottle available for sale in supermarket) 4. Tomato Ketchup 3. Fried Garlic & Its Oil 4. Light Soy Sauce 5. Finely Chopped Green Onion & Parsley
I like the hot pot on the street, it is not only economical but also very relaxing to eat.
You know the street hot pot won when Mark threw that yummy head tilt so hard!
I love your video so much🥰
It was the Gucci face mask for me!!! 😂
I think Mark likes second place better, just looking at his expression, because in first place he didn't express enough or maybe because the food wasn't delicious 😁
Big fans from Indonesia 🥰
