Hey Mark, I am Hong Kong local guy, next time when you try the bamboo noodle without soup one, you will find that one main dish noodle with one soup, when you try the noodle put some soup into the noodle, it can make it a little bit wet, the orange sauce(chili sauce) is for you to taste the beef with that sauce together.

This brings back great memories for me. I served in Hong Kong with the British army from 1982-1984. There was a great little Punjabi club mess restaurant in Chunking Mansions called the Sher-E-Punjab, it only had a few seats but the food was always fantastic and great value for money. It used to be on the sixth floor I think, but now it has moved elsewhere in the building. I was always spoilt for choice of great food in Hong Kong. Going native with food always yields the best meal experiences. 😋👍🌟

The food is spectacular! I didn't even know about some of these places! Every evening walking along the harbourfront, the view of the skyline never gets old in HK.
I would drink the black tea with lemon without sugar. I eat a lot of noodles, Hong Kong never disappoints. Even hazy the HK skyline is beautiful. The city is well organized to have so many people.
Actually I lean the other way. Imagine coming to the US and ordering a burger and going Wow! The locals will be going 'Dude, its just a burger. Have you just escaped from a Amish community?'
Watching this vídeo it bring back me good memories. I travel to Hong Kong in 1970. That time i was 10 years old and lived there almost 5 years. I have eaten a lot of delicious Hong Kong food at restaurant and home. A totally different world. I miss Hong Kong
When you added chilli to the sandwich it remind me of when you were at thailand just scooping loads of chilli and stiring it in..your tolerance must be quite high
Mark, the wonton soup noodles are usually eaten with red vinegar and chili oil. I was told the vinegar is to balance out the alkaline in the noodles. Watching your video makes me want to re-visit Hong Kong. Thank you for showcasing all the "little guys", they are hidden gems!

The razor clams is eye candy. If you go to Hong Kong again, try Mak En Kee it's off of Jordan Street Metro Station, make a right and a left up the hill. They serve wonton noodle soup in a small bowl. The noddles are extremely crisp. The restaurant is always busy and fancy cars nearby. Your New York City coverage was awesome, try Big Wong on Mott Street, famous for wonton noodles and barbecue meat dishes with rice. Happy eating.

Hong kong ist just brilliant, I recommend everyone to visit the peak at night too, buy beer at the 7/11 at the top, and enjoy the view!! its really breath taking!
