Good thing Heavy is strong enough to carry over 30 gold bars from Sierra Madre.
It probably cost that much to repair everytime you bring it to the repair noc.

In the Demoman run you need to be addicted to alcohol the whole run, and don't forget the katana.
Addicted to every single kind of acohol in the game

Also Engineer should have ED-E cause his entire thing is having a robot helping him fight and that's the best you get (and by best you get I mean "borderline busted" cause ED-E is an ash factory. Enemies go in, ash comes out).

I agree with your assessment that Heavy wouldn't be as much of a murderhobo as some of the other mercs. He likes his job, sure, but he's not a maniac like Soldier. He's got a PHD in Russian literature, knows when to approach things diplomatically and when to approach with fists/guns at the ready, and more compassionate than some folks give him credit for. Considering the backstory he has with his sisters escaping the gulag, he definitely wouldn't tolerate Legion slavery.
The thing with heavy is that he is he loves his gun, to him, his job is mearly a way to pay for his gun and family, if he could earn as much money using sasha to cut trees down he would
@@calebbarnhouse496 in poker night at the inventory, the "funniest story" he can think of is when he tortured an engineer for information. He laughs uproariously as he describes how the man screamed for mercy.

@@sarcasmismyfavoriteemotion4180 you see the thing is I watched that clip to see what you were wrong about, he didn't torture him for information, he tortured him because he killed his entier team, enjoying that is pretty reasonable, particularly as it can easily be read into that he is coping with PTSD
@@calebbarnhouse496 Enjoying the torture of any man is psychotic, but Heavy is still clearly compassionate, as is told by his bird story in the same game.
@@anstupid4093 it's psychotic, but if someone starts laughing when someone is normally indifferent to the violence he causes, and the one time he's really into it is revenge, that's kinda telling about it

Honestly kind of fitting that he has a 7 Intelligence, as dialogue from the Poker Night At The Inventory game reveals that he actually has a PhD in Russian Literature, meaning he isn't as dumb as people think he is.
he isn't dumb, he's russian
His grasp on english is shaky, which makes him come across more dumb than he actually is.
@@maestrofeli4259 I mean, yeah, actually. People have a cognitive bias associating nonfluency with stupidity. English is Heavy's second language, and he''s a bit quiet and deliberate because of it, which people generally perceive as signs of stupidity.
Good video, but I think it was a missed opportunity to recruit Arcade Gannon because he's a MEDIC
I feel like while that is the case, Arcade works better for a Medic playthrough because Arcade makes a VERY good potential Heavy.
For the Medic playthrough. Recommend weapons are:
-H&H nail tool for (syringe gun)

Don't forget performing brain surgery on Caesar.
@@Janoha17
Speaking of which, does Medic level INT or LUCK? On one hand, Medic was at one point a licensed doctor, and biology in the TF2verse is legitimately kind of weird. On the other hand, it seems like at least some of his skills are due to his Faustian bargain, so the Luck of the Devil could be letting him, for lack of a better word, cheat.
@@davidhong1934 I'd say have points in both.
@@Janoha17 Yep. Cannot forget Caesar. So this will have to be a Legion run.
Maybe kill the Legendary bloatfly could be another challenge and since Medic love putting Baboon fetus inside other people, so making chem out of Nightstalker blood would be fine with him.
Just realized there’s no sandwiches in this game unless you want to include the caravan lunch, which we can’t really see inside of but sandwiches are such a common lunchbox item I could see it stretching that far
There's the bloatfly slider! :D
There's also the K9000 from Old World Blues and its unique variant FIDO, and the Shoulder Mounted Machine gun from Lonesome Road.
I don’t really see a case for the SMMG although it is a heavy weapon that shoots bullets galore, it’s shoulder mounted and doesn’t have that iconic silhouette of holding it out front
I think it would be fair to also count the LMG as Tomislav. Though that might be more of a stretsh and make things too easy.
@@puskajussi37 Or the 45 SMG
Should’ve changed to Joshua Graham’s clothes once you got them. It is a bullet proof vest like Heavy’s.
The ‘Beyond the Beef’ Quest might’ve frozen since Mortimer wasn’t alive to give his speech.
Play soldier next, he must wake up the spears of the old world and bring America back
Definitely NCR
I can't wait for a Soldier playthrough, considering the many rocket launcher-type weapons New Vegas has.
Imagine Fish's glee when he's able to acquire the Red Glare and all its mods. Not to mention it would be an excuse to play through Lonesome Road.
Soldier is the best to go through Lonesome Road cause he's the one who would most fanatically follow a faction. NCR all the way for him, they're the new America.
@@wadespencer3623 do you think Soldier would like the Enclave
@@zchris13 Oh he would LOVE them. They just aren't an option for the ending. But I say it's fair to make getting the Enclave to side with the NCR a necessary goal.
Just uh... ignore whatever Soldier's thoughts on Ganon's sexuality would probably be like.
Actually I come back to say that Soldier wouldn't even realize that Arcade is gay. He's way too stupid to pick up on it.
Also adding he needs to take the "Sneering Imperialist" perk.
I need to see what a medic run would look like. Maybe use a companion as your pocket?
That might be the lonesome road run actually. Given the lack of medic weapons available, he'd have to use the nail gun from it or the gloves from old world blues
27:28 he got stuck because you killed mortimer, you needed him alive for the end of the quest to properly foil his canibalism scheme without him the quest just kinda soft locks since you can't do the whole "haha! you fool you are eating normal meat not people meat see here's the guy you were planing to cook with me"

"You can only attack while using Steady in VATS"
For the Engineer playthrough.
Recommend weapons are:
- Hunting shotgun/ Dinner Bell and Riot shotgun.
- Joshua Graham .45 pistol.
- Using a wrench to melee is not an option. So, Somethings that can be a stand in for the Gungslinger.
- Best bet is going for an Energy weapons build to increase variety of weapons. Short circuit, Pomson and C.A.P.P.E.R look alike weapons are recommend.
- Traits and Skills are mostly related to Science and Repair.
- Challenges could be coming to Old World Blue to install and upgrade all Sink NPCs.

Putting Endurance to "bulletproof" is peak comedy.
I actually heavily appreciate that you sort of glossed over Honest Hearts. So many challenge run videos that explain every step of every place no matter how same-y it gets in different videos.
Made months ago a soldier playthrough. Full NCR, doing every mission to scare caesar, so after he tells me everything i did wrong toward him only for saying "Terrifying presence" line and kill everybody with Annabelle
Using a granade to finish the quest wouldnt been a big deal, pretty sure heavy would've done that too, instead of killing Keely
For the quest with Keely, you can actually stand inside the Server room and shoot through the open door at the flammable gas. It will ignite it, and you won’t take any damage because the flames don’t go inside the room, even though the door is open.
If you wanted a hunting shotgun there is a free one in the back of a truck to the left of the cave that starts the honest hearts dlc that you can just go grab although you'll need a couple repair kits for it to last. I've been using that spot for years
Have really been enjoying your scripts for your videos in the last few months. Pacing is good and the jokes are quick and snappy.
Fish Stick; when you get around to the “FNV as Soldier” video, you ABSOLUTELY need to take the Sneering Imperialist perk as soon as you can. I don’t think I need to explain why.
With Heavy getting experimented on by the Medic getting some of the implants from Follower's clinic should have been usable.
I hope Demoman is next.
I think the Engineer run will be the most interesting. Shotguns would be the primary weapons, along with Power Fists for the Gunslinger (though, I feel an argument could be made for Engie to use Two-Step Goodbye). Completing Old World Blues is practically forced, since you get a teleporter for doing so. The real interesting parts would be that Engie would try to hack as many robots as he can (especially Sentry Bots).
For future reference, New Vegas Steel has Mojave Wasteland Mr Steels, which count as Mr Gutsys toward that in-game challenge. There are 3 of them and they re-spawn every few days. It's right next to the South Vegas Ruins East Entrance near Vault 3.
8:36 - Also, you can find a hunting shotgun in the back of a truck's bed sitting to the right of a barn North of New Vegas. It's in pretty bad condition so it'll take Repair Kits/Jury Rigging but it's *WAY* easier to get your hands on since the raiders there aren't nearly as difficult as those Ghouls.
I fully believe heavy would see the little girl in Ceasars camp, give her the teddy bear, and proceed to all the legion
20:40 because pyro is my sweet innocent little boy and he wouldn’t do anything like that
11:50 is just a "you got games on yo phone?" moment

For anyone planning to use a shotgun for any extended length of time in New Vegas, first thing you do is run to the reloading bench and change about half your shells into slugs. Then you're just one hotkey press away from being the worst choice against armored enemies to one of the best.
Just so you know, there is a way to get past the boomber barrage without taking damage. Watch a guide for more details but you can pretty much just hide in the corners of some of the buildings and wait out each the salvo and then move to another building, wait, and then you can probably just book the rest of the distance
Survival also fits the lore, given how he managed to not only make a very comfortable life at the siberian wilderness but also taught his little sisters how to do it as well
Doing an Engineer run in Fallout 4 was pretty fun for me. Le Fusil Terrible, Deliverer and Big Jim for weapons. Complete Automatron so you can turn Ada into a mobile sentry gun. Turn the Castle into a level 87 sentry nest. You know, the usual.
"except, I'm a fat guy, who eats bullets... and sandwiches (:"
If you didn't already know, melee and unarmed weapons deal double damage in VATS attacks, which helps a lot if you're using the weaker weapons. Also, while the boxing gloves deal 35 fatigue to the boxing tape's 20, they also only deal 1 damage to the tape's 4. It's still terrible, but it might have shaved a little time off that radscorpion.
What I always try to do for runs without stims or Doctor’s bags is play it slow until Old world blues. Then the game makes you into a Politician (Brainless, Heartless, Spineless Perks), so that My head can’t be crippled and I don’t have to play a majority of the game with a constant aneurysm.

Did some brainstorming for what weapons are allowed for each remaining class:
Soldier: Missile Launchers, The Red Glare,Tesla Cannon/Tesla Beaton Prototype (cow mangler), hunting shotguns, Dinner Bell, shovel, and Katana are all viable. I’d personally also allow the holy grenades from searchlight due to soldier having a cosmetic that has the Holy Hand Grenades from Monty Python on it
Pyro: Flamethrower/Cleansing Flame, Arc Welder (Phlog), Incinerator (Dragons Breath), Hunting Shotguns/Dinner Bell, Flare Guns (duh), Fire Axes/Knock Knock, Proton Axe (Third Degree), the Shishkebab/Gehenna (closest we’ve got to the sharpened volcano fragment), Sledgehammer (Homewrecker), and the Super Sledge/Oh Baby! (The Maul)
Demoman: 25mm Grenade APW (closest in functionality to his launchers), Detonator and C4 (Approximation for the stickybomb launcher), and Bumper Swords, the Katana, and 9 Iron/Nephi’s Golf Driver are viable.
Engineer: Hunting Shotguns, recharger rifle (feels like the pomson to me), Holorifle, LAER, magazine-fed pistols, Laser Pistol (closest to the Short Circuit), and a Zap Glove/Paladin Toaster (no wrenches, so we gotta go with the closest thing to the gunslinger). Btw I think a good sentry replacement would be Ed-E, and you should get cybernetic upgrades since He’s enhanced himself canonically with the gunslinger.
Medic: the H&H Tools nail gun is the only thing close to his syringe guns. As for melee, I drew a blank. I think the closest you’ll get is a cleaver or a Bowie knife. Medic really isn’t built for challenge runs.
Sniper: any scoped rifles are on the table. Specifically sniper rifles and variants, La Longue Carabine (albeit Sterling isn’t willing to give it up), Hunting Rifles (I made an exception here since I think it’d make a suitable choice for the bazaar bargain), the ratslayer, anti-material rifle, and the gauss rifle (to represent the machina). As for his SMG, I think the 10mm SMG and Sleepytyme are very suitable replacements for each of his respective SMGs. Melees would be machetes and all variants.

little tip for future videos
there’s a free weapon repair kit inside Victor’s Shack in Goodsprings
Soldier run next, i recommend drinking nothing but dirty waters to get that sweet lead in your body and screaming about how the Enclave is the best for America.
Fast shot increases how quickly you can pull the trigger, so with automatic guns, where you hold down the trigger, it's useless. You should have taken trigger discipline, you sacrifice how quickly you can pull the trigger for extra accuracy, but since you pull it once and hold it, it doesn't have any negatives.
I would say that Heavy actually would probably go for NCR if the lore and his actions are to be considered.
The Legion would remind him too much of the brutish savages who imprisoned him and his family in the Soviet Union, and Mr. House & Yes Man would be off the table since House is basically Grey Mann and Heavy seems to hold a near & dear HATRED of robots.
If it's any consideration, I'd think the classes would go as follows:
Scout - Yes Man, because what kind of regular schmuck wouldn't want to be king of the wasteland?
Soldier - The NCR because
*_G O D B L E S S A M E R I C A_*
Pyro - The Legion since he is a familiar friend of violence and questionable ethics.
Demoman - Probably the NCR as well since he is good friends with Soldier, so that'd rub off on him at least a bit (not to mention, I'm not sure if the Legion would be too happy with a drunkard among their ranks).
Heavy - See above.
Engineer - Mr. House, as he very much likes technology and has already served the Mann brothers, so Mr. House is basically same shit, different universe.
Medic - Also worked directly for Gray Mann, so probably Mr. House in this case as well.
Sniper - Tends to be more focused on his job as a gun for hire, so he'd probably fit in well with the Arizona Rangers, making him NCR by proxy.
Spy - Like sniper, more focused on his job than anything. Since he's a two-timing back-stabber who also manages to be hired by the same guys his son works for, I'd say Spy solidly sits with Yes Man.
“Hmmm, the heavy? Well, I wonder if he can.”

With soldier, you gotta do the divide and side with ulysses since he is addicted with america and history. That and you get old glory in the end which acts as the freedom staff. Red glare for airstrike(?), fast fire rate and Annabelle as stock. Also, the K9 cyberdog gun couldve been the tomislav or fido since they both can be repaired with miniguns using jury rigging
To tell you the truth, Heavy would probably side with either the NCR or Yes Man; Heavy hates slavers because of gulag, so Caesar is out. Businessmen tend to threaten him, Mr. House is out.
I'd say it makes the most sense for all of the mercs to side with House *unless* there's a clear case for siding with someone else.
