💥Download War Thunder for FREE and get your bonus! ► Use my link - playwt.link/brandyboy #ad As always, feel free to leave your corrections and theories in the comments, I do try my best to be accurate, but I do sometimes get things wrong myself Here's some corrections and clarifications: -Ghouls have an inherent resistance to drugs, so that could explain why the tranquilizer is ineffective on Cooper. In the show however, they explain it as "a small drop in a large bucket of drugs", implying that his resistance is due to him abusing chems, rather than the resistance being caused by being a ghoul. -Yes, I know Sellier and Bellot is a Czech Company. The name, and the men who founded the company however, are French, thus I used the French pronunciation. -Cooper's Revolver could be using some type of explosive slug or sabot, more like a tank shell, rather than a rocket. Hence why I said "this is not a gyrojet at all" that's kinda the whole point of the joke -Seeing as the US annexed Canada, and Canada adopted the FAL and Stering, it's reasonable to assume those guns would make their way into the main states. I still think they should prioritize showing more common American guns, or at least, guns that were actually adopted or imported to the US. -For anyone confused about the Import law, I meant that private citizens, in general, cannot import foreign firearms. It's a huge hassle and requires permits and all that. Big firearms manufacturers do it all the time though, they have the time and money, so they go through the process. That's why we have a bunch of foreign made guns and ammunition here in the US. For a MTS-255 specifcally, well, it's probably near impossible to obtain. Especially nowadays, Russian guns and ammo were completely banned from importation due to the war in Ukraine.
@@imperatoriacustodum4667 there will always be plot armor, the difference is how well you hide it. Thanks for using my footage for the gyrojet section! The fallout show chose some pretty eclectic guns, and it was neat to see you reference that one in particular! (Also you absolutely can import foreign firearms, it’s a massive industry. There’s just a handful of restrictions on it.)
Holy moly. Cool to see you comment on the video! I should thank you for the footage. Your videos are dope asf. Dude, I would love to see your opinion on the guns in Fallout, especially with you being a pro gunsmith. They can get pretty wacky, beyond my human comprehension. Of course, I know there's exceptions to import laws. I put a caption on the screen stating so. Big dealers and manufacturers import all the time, that's why we got a whole bunch of foreign guns here in the states. I meant in this case, for guns that aren't currently in the market, a private citizen can't buy them online from a shop in russia, and have it shipped over easy peasy. Whole buncha restrictions on that, especially since russian guns specifically were banned outright a few years ago
@@ItsYaBoyBrandyBoy I find it ironic that Fallout 4, Is one of the more fps gunplay focused games within the franchise, has a tendencies to be utterly dogsh1t when it comes to both the weapon designs and the reload animations, and other technicalities.
@@DarthZ01 You've heard from people who are either stupid, weak, or liars. Considering it was some liberal news reporter, chances are it was all three.
@@ItsYaBoyBrandyBoy The Ghouls Ammo actually is feasible, but unnecessary. The Fins would have to fold when actually loaded into Cartridge, on top of that a Sabo would have to be used to prevent the Fins from unfolding in the Barrel. I've seen Slugs such as those on Taofledermaus.
There's a mod in New Vegas where it adds the Ghoul's revolver into the game and well... Let's just say I recreated the Filly shootout scene in Freeside and making my way to the Strip It's just that powerful of a gun especially if you're running a cowboy build
The only segment I disagree with is the Tranquilizer rant. It has been canon since at most Fallout 3 that Ghouls have a funky immune system and metabolism, meaning drugs don't have as much an effect on them relative to 'normal' humans. The tranq' darts are probably similar to stimpaks in their chemical composition, thus allowing near-instant activation when injected.
Yeah. I remember a couple of ghouls In the subway telling me about ultra jet and how regular jet just doesn’t do it for em. Gotta sell em some more sugar bombs lol
Memory serves, they specifically need amped-up Jet for it to really do anything, and there's one in Underworld that does Jet as a hobby ("Passes the time", I think he said). Alcohol still seems to work normally, though, given the bar, and Patchwork is perpetually drunk (Nice guy, honestly). They also have stronger stomachs, apparently, going off Underworld again, and that one ghoul during the Nightkin quest in Vegas.
The FRAG-12 is a specialized 12-gauge shotgun shell which contains a small amount of high explosive to breach intermediate barriers, defeat light armored vehicles, and disrupt IEDs. The shell was designed by the Special Cartridge Company in London, England.
@@ItsYaBoyBrandyBoy As for the shells looking like full sized brass casings, you can still get 12ga full brass shells online for reloading. Much longer reload life, especially with blackpowder reloading, and you get to feel cool loading them with slugs to look like huge elephant rounds.
The ghoul gun (shotgun) shell is a dart round, quote: *Dart shells contain a flechette [French > "Little Arrow"], an arrow-like lead projectile with a sharp armor-piercing metal penetrator and finned tail. The projectile is contained in a sabot [French > "Shoe"] - a protective casing that falls away in pre-sectioned pieces after the round leaves the barrel. The sabot serves to protect the flechette from damage while also increases the muzzle velocity. This round is more stable and accurate in flight and can go farther than a slug. They are good for long-range shots against unarmored or lightly-armored targets, or mid-range shots against moderately-armored targets.*
@@Lemon_Sage9999 It could also just be a fictitious bullet with spring-loaded fins. We have to suspend some disbelief but the Massive Steal could be realistic. While the largest caliber of the MTs255 is 12 gauge allowing it to have a 5 shot cylinder. 10 gauge brass casing did exist. If the ghoul made a modified cylinder and converted the barrel to be 10 gauge and made custom slugs with penetrating flechette tips and “high” explosive tips and spring loaded expanding fins then loaded it in extra spicy in a in 10 gauge brass shell, It could possible. The larger gauge would explain why the cylinder was only 4 shots. Additionally a small benefit of the brass casing is it’s reusable if you replaced the primer and it didn’t expand so he could just craft new slugs. you’ll notice by the number of “and” that’s a lot of disbelief to suspend. Things that we can’t forgive is how it shoots 6 shots, the unnecessary cocking and doesn’t yk revolve. If you really want to nitpick, maybe the fallout universe found a better method but explosive rounds don’t make that large of an explosion hence the quotation marks and fins wouldn’t really stabilise, It would just make it look cool on the HE rounds at least. So it’s extra work and unnecessary regardless. But also what do I know I’m just a random internet guy that’s kinda a gun “enthusiast” (if I can even call myself that) that also enjoys over analysing made up guns in a fictional universe.
Actually the FAL makes sense seeing that its the C1 version adopted by Canada in the late 50s. So it reasonable to assume that the Canadian Government had a ton in storage and post annexation by the US the guns could have been reissued to US Army troops on the west coast in preparation for a Chinese assault.
The same explanation could be used for the Sterling. US Army confiscates a bunch of obsolete C1 Sterling SMGs from the CF, has no use for them, sells them to Vault-Tec.
He's pretty stupid and the BOS seemingly made no attempt to better him psychologically, I guess that explains why Titus is also like he stole someone else's spot for wearing power armor?

Open-bolt submachineguns are extremely simple. You can make one in a shed with hardware store parts. What you _won't_ be able to do easily is cut rifling into a barrel. Other than that, magazines are the hardest thing to make from scratch; handcrafted magazines are almost always a bit finicky. If you have access to a crude improvised machine shop (very doable in a post-apocalyptic setting) you could make something a bit fancier, like a Sten gun. Still basic, but much nicer than handbuilt.
Even those are garbage. Who the hell is going to make a full auto pipe-gun closed bolt? Much less give them some crazy U shaped feed and ejection path.
@@sarahmellinger3335 Maybe? But it'd wear out very quickly and I'd be worried the barrel would burst on me. If you're gonna make a barrel out of copper pipe, then make a shotgun - low chamber pressure means it's less likely to blow you up, and you can make projectiles out of basically anything.

But the show utterly fucks up in other ways, so don't mistake this as coping in its defense. Just a caveat.
Yeah in the first Fallout one of the preset characters you can choose to play as is the granddaughter of a Soviet consulate. From the POV of an American in the 90’s (when the first game was made) it seemed that the alliance between us and the Chinese wasn’t as tenuous as it would later become, so they just switched china with Russia in Fallout’s alternate universe. I could POSSIBLY give the excuse for the tranquillizer pistol if you told me the darts had something in them that caused a strong stinging/burning sensation akin to getting concentrated lemon or pepper juice in a cut. Then you could at least say the raider's reactions were to the unexpected and severe pain instead of the impact itself. There's also the possibility of not being normal tranquilizers and instead being a muscle relaxant, which can take effect within a minute as opposed to the ten or so minutes it takes for tranqs.
Earlier in the episode they actually explained why Maximuses armour isn’t effected by coopers shots. In the helicopter before max owned the suit, he said to the original owner of it “I see you went with the extra plating in the chest?” Or something along those lines.
Tempered lining, yes. Saddly lucy, who knows what it actually does because she read the manual, passed out before she could say it. But it's a good bet the extra defensive properties of the armour are the same as in fallout 4's power armour upgrades.
There's also the fact that Cooper was messing with Maximus instead of outright killing him, otherwise he's probably actually hit the weak point with his revolver instead of wasting shots hitting the metal with his Mare's Leg, either way the plot demanded that Cooper can't kill Maximus so why not fuck with a Newbie in power armor
Having a power armor weakpoint in the place most likely to be targeted has to be the dumbest retcon I've ever seen. Even the combat armor doesn't get dumpstered that easy.
Well, it's a “weak spot” that can be hit with a high-caliber AP round at point-blank range from a certain angle. Not something that will often become evident in normal combat.
@PonderousEclectica4383 so they could have a cool scene where the Ghoul uses his pre war military experience to ice a room full of dudes in power armor

No way that’s their explanation. I bet if someone other than Wilzig was there, they would’ve shown the turret ripping them apart. This is a classic case of plot armor, and it’s laughably bad, much like many aspects of the show
to me the targeting computer in that thing is like one of those hand woven computers nasa used for the apollo program & its targeting system has to round the direction of the target to the closest 30 degrees of rotation or something on top of the bullets tumbling & the unrifled barrel
I mean, I get people gushing over real life weapons showing up in the Fallout TV show for the NCR. But in Fallout New Vegas, the standard issue rifle for the NCR Trooper IS the "Service Rifle", which is clearly based on M16. So why the hell aren't the NCR troopers wearing their standard issue armor and using their standard issued rifles?
Like that other guy said, the M16 and it's derivatives are still known to the average person as a "modern" assault rifle. So even if you gave it wooden furniture, it doesn't fit Bethesda's vision of aesthetics, that being "cold war, ridiculously sci-fi or a californian having a bad LSD trip and drawing the gun he saw when he wakes up."
@kielbasamage Sure, but here's the thing. The M16 was made during the Cold War. So it doesn't make sense to not include it simply because people see it as a "modern assault rifle". Look at New Vegas, hell, look at Fallout 1 and 2, those games had both modern and Cold War Era weapons.
@@CanadianTehGamer Yes... but you're looking at games made by Black Isle, not Bethesda. You know, the same people who designed the Combat Rifle and Assault Rifle in 4, and the Combat Shotgun in 3. They can't really be trusted to make accurate assessments on firearms, so it stands to reason they'd think a M16 rifle would look to modern, so they'd be willing to replace it with something more akin to a M14 as imagined by a pulp sci-fi writer as the excessive dose of LSD atomizes his neural pathways.
@@spas6433 My bad, I'll correct myself: It's the perfect poster child for Bethesda's main projects, since they all take you for granted and act like they're the coolest thing since sliced bread when they're consistently just ok at best. The main thing to note about the FO4 Assault rifle is that it is the first weapon in the game which is chambered in 5.56, even though the combat rifle has a deep magazine like it's supposed to hold a rifle cartridge (like .308 or 5.56, and it's worth noting that you can UPGRADE it to chamber .308), but chambers .45, which is typically a pistol cartridge (which is to say, not at all matching the depth of the magazine). I bring this up because it's important to establish that you should already have a weapon system that uses that cartridge competently, it's weird that it's reserved for the Assault Rifle, which has all the appearance of a machine gun instead. Also noteworthy is that you CAN get a 5.56 version of the combat rifle, but it's part of Far Harbor. Now moving from comparisons within FO4, we can look at previous Fallout games and immediately point out that the Service Rifle is an Armalite descendent like many modern military rifles, appearing to be a common direct-impingement style system in a relatively compact package. For most people who need a 5.56 longarm, the Armalite system is perfectly adequate. For anything more demanding, you're looking at a lot of extra expense for precision manufacturing regardless of what style you want, or you're looking at a belt-fed for the ability to put way more downrange for longer between reloads. That said, why choose not to use that system, or another common style of rifle that Fallout should have? I can think of two reasons: Bethesda does not want to use the Armalite style rifle design, for whatever reason, and, The sheer bulk of the FO4 Assault Rifle makes it appear size-appropriate for power armor, even though you could say the same of any heavy belt fed machine gun. Unlike a heavy belt-fed machine gun, which believably could be said is specially paired with Power Armor because it means an unenhanced infantryman doesn't have to lug around this massive weight, they chose to use an outdated, overly bulky design, ostensibly because the Power Armor system made it easy to lug around. AKA, they used Power Armor as an excuse to dust off a bunch of things that really belong in a museum, rather than make a dedicated companion weapon system for power armor.
@@superluigi6968 Armalite didn't exist in that universe, M-16 never was deisgned so they followed this as a signature of 'retro-future". These companies don't allow that since 2000s, explicitly and bump everyone who tries.
There's actually an in universe explanation for Cooper not being affected by Lucy's trang-gun. Pretty much all drugs in fallout have reduced effects on ghouls, that's why there's a side quest in Fallout 3 to get sugar bombs for a ghoul to make ultra jet, cause the normal jet does basically nothing.

...I mean... I wouldn't be flexing a Kimber in 2024. Like if it was 2004, yeah, sure. Not... anymore. SIG is still reeling from their P320 fiasco which managed to damage their reputation by leaps and bounds. Remington went from a household name to a punchline with the crowning crescendo of disappointment being the R51 relaunch. They managed to remake/update a design that's nearly a century old and everyone wanted and turn it into a disaster. Colt has been a rollercoaster of quality for decades now and I don't pay them any attention. And when it comes to Taurus... well... They're a meme about quality for a reason.
I think the reason Bethesda is so hesitant to use the M16 is because due to it still being the current service rifle of the US Military (and several other militaries adopting AR15 derivatives recently) many people associate it with modern, late 20th and 21st century warfare and is thus "too modern" for their 50s retrofuturism aesthetic. The US in Fallout’s universe did adopt the FAL as it’s service rifle but the American variant is called the R-91, it’s chambered in 5.56 and is prominently seen in Fallout 3. Also in Fallout 3’s Operation Anchorage DLC we see them in use by the Pre-War US forces retaking Anchorage. A specific commando unit the “screaming eagles” also used a variant with AR-10 style furniture.

Ive always wondered if it was a full service rifle or a more specialized rifle for homeland defence or special forces, did it replace the ar15, or did the ar15 mainly get civilian popularity?
@@bens1cultist405 Indeed, that was one of the key reasons, along with gun not having any other part for a good grip (except for barrel shroud, but you already know why no one really liked the idea).
Goofy and nonsensical design is the point. All of Fallout is goofy and nonsensical. Imagine a doctor complaining about the inaccuracy of Fallout's chems. Or a Kevlar manufacturer complaining about the inaffectiveness of Fallout's armor. Or a physicist explaining why nuclear radiation won't make ghouls. There are a lot of points to be made but Fallout is really a fantasy epic story with an atompunk theme. It's not suppose to be accurate, just accurate enough to help with audience immersion.
Some points on the STEN. Strictly according to the manual, if the Sten didn't have a foregrip (the MkI and V did, usually) the soldier was trained to hold the gun by the barrel shroud, as instructed in this manual for the MkII (unfortunately poor quality scan). You'll notice that the instructions specifically state to not hold the gun by the magazine. Or you won't youtube does not allow links sadly but I would show it if I could... If you search this on the archive you should find it. firearms-sten-mk-ii-submachine-gun However, Sten magazines were notoriously bad - the design was a poor one to begin with, and the early magazines especially were made in a great rush with quite loose tolerances which could lead to feed problems during firing. So in practice it was not uncommon to hold the gun by the magazine housing to be able to brace the magazine and stop it wobbling about so much during firing, and thus potentially reduce the likelihood of a jam. The more skilled user would by all accounts test each magazine before use to make sure the fit was acceptable.
The gyrojet was crap for a few reasons. The big one was that it was inaccurate as hell because it didn't leave the barrel at a reasonable speed. It gained speed over time. Meaning that at short ranges it was likely less than lethal, but also things like wind had a disproportionate effect on the trajectory at the muzzle and for several yards thereafter. I have thought about how to fix these, and Fallout may have used a few of my ideas. Or lucked out. If you made a 12 gauge round, filled with a gyrojet motor instead of the wad, that was ignited by the powder, it would effectively be a 2 stage rocket slug. Initial velocity would be good, and final velocity would be better. A two stage would have one problem, flight stabilization. You could add in spin actuated fins to solve that problem. As the projectile is spun, it moves the fins into position, which would then be locked there by wind resistance. Add in a sabot to make the whole thing sub caliber to prevent detonation in the weapon and this system could work, exactly as depicted.
15:38 The magazine-grip could be a bit of simple confusion; I vaguely recall that it was actually recommended to hold the magazine of some SMGs of the period to provide extra support, due to the loose machining tolerances for maximized production output. I could just be falling for a myth here, but my brain wants to associate that with the PPSh-41 or maybe the STEN gun. There's a good chance I'm wrong, but I figured I'd mention it.
sort of relevant, but in warhammer40k, boltgun ammunition is basically gyrojet with a chemical propellant and casing. the reason why they come with a casing is to increase their range and make up their lethality in close range since gyrojets need time to accelerate
@@Seelenschmiede yep. Only issue with fallout show's massive steel is that the "gyrojet" itself has no fuel. It's just a bullet with fin stabilizers, so it might as well be some overly complicated explosive bullet
Probably because he was loaded up on drugs when Lucy shot him, it's why he shrugged off the shots that hit him in the shootout because he was too high to feel it, I'm not fully sure though as I haven't seen the show but have seen speculation that Cooper uses pre-war drugs during his fights to help him as a bounty hunter.
19:26 ghouls have a higher tolerance for chems and stuff like that (i think it's said in the game) and that's why ultra jet is created in the fallout universe, because ghouls almost didn't feel the effects of normal jet
That's not a MTS-255, it's a short modification of MTS-255, but it uses non lethal rouds (rubbers bullets) and it was designed to used by Police. And name of it MTS-255-12
@@milenium3082 The shortened, non-lethal variant is actually known as the OTs-62. Basically the same gun except the OTs-62 is typically seen donning polymer furniture instead of wood, on top of being shortened. Either way they're only a visual reference since the gun in the show appears to be single-action and reload from a top-break instead of swing-out cylinder.
- game is sci-fi - has wacky guns - doesn’t need to look like regular guns of today because that defeats the purpose of a sci-fi game - “wow so unrealistic, why no modern guns?”
I believe you're wrong about the MASSIVE STEEL. It's not exactly a gyrojet round in the show, since it's.. not a rocket? it never seems to work like one. What it does look like is a fin-stabilized slug. An explosive fin-stabilized slug. That would make sense, since you could actually put it into a shotgun shell. Altough, everything else is true about it. They sure screwed up while mutilating the MTs-255. I'd give it 2 bottle caps, still keeping it in the Meme tier.
And in fallout 4 it kinda makes sense too. The vast majority of turrets we see are 2 century old antiques that were either plopped on top of a shaky wood platform by drugged out raiders, or have just been sitting out in the elements in some pre-war military base The one in the show doesn't really have those excuses though, being maintained by the enclave and seemingly kept covered underground
To be fair to power armor, even if Bugthesda is pretty scarce on lore, either FO2 or Fallout Bible noted, that Enclave APA have only one weakness, helmet lenses, and even then you need a .50 BMG AP round to pierce it. Taknig that into account and extrapolating, the only upgrade in armor T-51 had is some sort of anti-energy weapon coating, so T-45 should, probably, tank anything up to .50 BMG, though not AP.
As for the magazine fed revolver, it’s definitely not pointless. That is how it is 15 shots. 8 in the cylinder, 7 in the magazine. As you shoot the rounds in the cylinder, it fills with the bullets in the magazine. I don’t get complaining about gun design in a game with laser weapons. That’s a bigger problem than a gun not being practical. I love the Fallout 4 assault rifle. It looks cool. It’s like a steampunk version of the sten. I just accept they have advanced tech that makes these designs more practical.
28:35 I believe it was clear that Cooper's revolver shotgun was intentionally loaded with multiple types of ammunition, as his bandoleer showed a variety of distinct bullets and the camera specifically highlighted when he loaded the anti-power armor round with its unique, pointed design. It seems that ItsYaBoyBrandyBoy is COMPLETLEY misinterpreting this weapons ammo as he keeps referring to it as a rocket despite it making most sense to be a diverse set of specialty shotgun slugs like 12 gauge in fallout new vegas...
In the Fallout timeline, the US invades and annexes Canada. They used to use the FAL, so it makes sense it would be present in the states; even if Canada wasn’t annexed, it's presence would still make sense due to the absence of borders.
Apparently, the thing about Maximus's power armor versus the others is "a flaw in the welding", and it's theorized that Cooper doesn't hit it because he doesn't want to, just to mess with him.
I highly disagree that he should have tried shooting after the Bear broke his Forbidden Fallout 4 Assault Rifle. There's no way that the bite would be a clean cut like with a saw. The edges of the barrel would be crumpled and it would get the bullet stuck and explode the gun. If something that powerful bites down on the barrel, that gun needs full repairs before being used again.

As always, feel free to leave your corrections and theories in the comments, I do try my best to be accurate, but I do sometimes get things wrong myself
Here's some corrections and clarifications:
-Ghouls have an inherent resistance to drugs, so that could explain why the tranquilizer is ineffective on Cooper.
Hence why I said "this is not a gyrojet at all" that's kinda the whole point of the joke
-Seeing as the US annexed Canada, and Canada adopted the FAL and Stering, it's reasonable to assume those guns would make their way into the main states.

That was my guess for what the revolver was shooting. It’s not a _perfect_ match, but it’s the closest thing that makes sense to me.
The ghoul gun (shotgun) shell is a dart round, quote:
*Dart shells contain a flechette [French > "Little Arrow"], an arrow-like lead projectile with a sharp armor-piercing metal penetrator and finned tail.
Where are the sabots then, all knowing internet guy?
There tends to be more than one projectile in a Flechette Shotgun Shell, dude

Then why not make it the M14 .. looks more fitting.

But yes,its a abomination
The irony in this comment is astounding
@@spas6433 My bad, I'll correct myself:
It's the perfect poster child for Bethesda's main projects, since they all take you for granted and act like they're the coolest thing since sliced bread when they're consistently just ok at best.
I can think of two reasons:
Bethesda does not want to use the Armalite style rifle design, for whatever reason, and,
The sheer bulk of the FO4 Assault Rifle makes it appear size-appropriate for power armor, even though you could say the same of any heavy belt fed machine gun.
And the problem with using existeing gun design are copyrights. You simply CANNOT take Colt, or Browning, or Magnum and use it in-game. These companies don't allow that since 2000s, explicitly and bump everyone who tries.
Cursed guns, cursed guns never change. - The AK Ghoul
Yes.
The prop department really deserves the W. They all worked hard.
They really didn’t need to though. They could have just worked with existing firearms like what we see in 3 and New Vegas and they still would have done well. If anything, the weird firearms were not necessary to include at all.

What a *fabilous* M1911A1 you got there
I think the reason Bethesda is so hesitant to use the M16 is because due to it still being the current service rifle of the US Military (and several other militaries adopting AR15 derivatives recently) many people associate it with modern, late 20th and 21st century warfare and is thus "too modern" for their 50s retrofuturism aesthetic. Seeing Brandy in real life feels like some guy got hired to lip sync over the audio of Brandy actually speaking.
Yes.
If you search this on the archive you should find it. firearms-sten-mk-ii-submachine-gun
However, Sten magazines were notoriously bad - the design was a poor one to begin with, and the early magazines especially were made in a great rush with quite loose tolerances which could lead to feed problems during firing. So in practice it was not uncommon to hold the gun by the magazine housing to be able to brace the magazine and stop it wobbling about so much during firing, and thus potentially reduce the likelihood of a jam. The more skilled user would by all accounts test each magazine before use to make sure the fit was acceptable.
yeah, but this is the stirling, not the sten
Def the ppsh and the mp40 can’t confirm about any others
I looked it up. It was just mp40 and ppsh the sten and Sterling were supposed to be held by the barrel cover
sort of relevant, but in warhammer40k, boltgun ammunition is basically gyrojet with a chemical propellant and casing. the reason why they come with a casing is to increase their range and make up their lethality in close range since gyrojets need time to accelerate
The bolt round is ejected like a regular round via primer + gunpowder, only then the gyrojet kicks in
@@Seelenschmiede yep. Only issue with fallout show's massive steel is that the "gyrojet" itself has no fuel. It's just a bullet with fin stabilizers, so it might as well be some overly complicated explosive bullet
but at least 40k bothered to explain something, unlike bethesda
@@512TheWolf512 GW actually bothers to pay good writers. ..

The no recoil could be explained but the foregrip sometimes things like a suppressor or choke are added to guns to help control recoil
isnt cooper immune to the trank gun becouse ghouls are extremely resilient to all kinds of drugs and poisons?
Probably because he was loaded up on drugs when Lucy shot him, it's why he shrugged off the shots that hit him in the shootout because he was too high to feel it, I'm not fully sure though as I haven't seen the show but have seen speculation that Cooper uses pre-war drugs during his fights to help him as a bounty hunter.
this is never established in classic fallout
I thought it was a reference how in fallouts you can just eat a sandwich in the middle of a battle and be okey after being shot
@@klbn6ghouls are immune to poison in fo4
@@tankpea2 Fallout 4 probably isn't what the guy meant by "classic" Fallout.
19:26 ghouls have a higher tolerance for chems and stuff like that (i think it's said in the game) and that's why ultra jet is created in the fallout universe, because ghouls almost didn't feel the effects of normal jet
That assult rifle looks perfectly fitting on the power armor. Like how it SHOULD BE
NCR Service Rifle abscence is pure sacrilege.
Love the series. Please, I beg for an episode on Helldivers 2's guns.
The MTS-255 is a massively popular FO4 mod (around 400k downloads). No surprises seeing it on the show.

- game is sci-fi
- has wacky guns
- doesn’t need to look like regular guns of today because that defeats the purpose of a sci-fi game
- “wow so unrealistic, why no modern guns?”
Am I the only one who thinks its weird that everyone is mostly using ww2 and cold war era guns, but also have Fast helmets and mandibles?
Hehehe. Don't point out the modern helmets with sockets for night vision optics. Such as on the twin MG turret's gunner.
@@Destroyer_V0 i havent even mentioned the sight on the turret (DCL-120) which feels so out of place in that entire battle

Since the weapons in the Fallout show are based on the games, I imagine the guns will be just as cursed
There have always been a few goofy guns in fallout and it’s part of what makes it special
I thought the same thing but that doesnt excuse it. The flavour of fallout doesn't allow for such pointless designs
I honestly think the turret being absurdly inaccurate is a deliberate reference to Fallout 4's turrets having comparable inaccuracy.
And in fallout 4 it kinda makes sense too. The vast majority of turrets we see are 2 century old antiques that were either plopped on top of a shaky wood platform by drugged out raiders, or have just been sitting out in the elements in some pre-war military base
The one in the show doesn't really have those excuses though, being maintained by the enclave and seemingly kept covered underground
I always considered the FAL in fallout was from Canada during the Annexation of the North. Good ol' Canadian C1A2.
"gyro jets shoot the whole thing." lol. Gyro jet even shoots the barrel out lol.
You fire the whole bullet, thats 70% more bullet
Air cool + water cool = COOLest assault rifle, that's how it made it to the show.
Maybe the next step is to make an ice-cooled sci-fi gun
It has a popsicle receptacle besides the ejection port for easy grape-flavored cooling.
In the Fallout timeline, the US invades and annexes Canada. They used to use the FAL, so it makes sense it would be present in the states; even if Canada wasn’t annexed, it's presence would still make sense due to the absence of borders.
And we still haven't gone over the smart guns and the tech guns that Cyberpunk has.
I'm worried about Brandyboy's health.
Johnny Silverhand gave him a little talking to
22:46 MASSIVE STEEL is a great name for that gun
Apparently, the thing about Maximus's power armor versus the others is "a flaw in the welding", and it's theorized that Cooper doesn't hit it because he doesn't want to, just to mess with him.
I highly disagree that he should have tried shooting after the Bear broke his Forbidden Fallout 4 Assault Rifle. There's no way that the bite would be a clean cut like with a saw. The edges of the barrel would be crumpled and it would get the bullet stuck and explode the gun.
If something that powerful bites down on the barrel, that gun needs full repairs before being used again.
