As always, feel free to leave your corrections and theories in the comments, I do try my best to be accurate, but I do sometimes get things wrong myself
    Here's some corrections and clarifications:
-Ghouls have an inherent resistance to drugs, so that could explain why the tranquilizer is ineffective on Cooper. In the show however, they explain it as "a small drop in a large bucket of drugs", implying that his resistance is due to him abusing chems, rather than the resistance being caused by being a ghoul.
-Yes, I know Sellier and Bellot is a Czech Company. The name, and the men who founded the company however, are French, thus I used the French pronunciation.
-Cooper's Revolver could be using some type of explosive slug or sabot, more like a tank shell, rather than a rocket. Hence why I said "this is not a gyrojet at all" that's kinda the whole point of the joke
-Seeing as the US annexed Canada, and Canada adopted the FAL and Stering, it's reasonable to assume those guns would make their way into the main states. I still think they should prioritize showing more common American guns, or at least, guns that were actually adopted or imported to the US.
-For anyone confused about the Import law, I meant that private citizens, in general, cannot import foreign firearms. It's a huge hassle and requires permits and all that. Big firearms manufacturers do it all the time though, they have the time and money, so they go through the process. That's why we have a bunch of foreign made guns and ammunition here in the US. For a MTS-255 specifcally, well, it's probably near impossible to obtain. Especially nowadays, Russian guns and ammo were completely banned from importation due to the war in Ukraine.

Of course, I know there's exceptions to import laws. I put a caption on the screen stating so. Big dealers and manufacturers import all the time, that's why we got a whole bunch of foreign guns here in the states. I meant in this case, for guns that aren't currently in the market, a private citizen can't buy them online from a shop in russia, and have it shipped over easy peasy. Whole buncha restrictions on that, especially since russian guns specifically were banned outright a few years ago

The only segment I disagree with is the Tranquilizer rant. It has been canon since at most Fallout 3 that Ghouls have a funky immune system and metabolism, meaning drugs don't have as much an effect on them relative to 'normal' humans. The tranq' darts are probably similar to stimpaks in their chemical composition, thus allowing near-instant activation when injected.

The ghoul gun (shotgun) shell is a dart round, quote:
*Dart shells contain a flechette [French > "Little Arrow"], an arrow-like lead projectile with a sharp armor-piercing metal penetrator and finned tail. The projectile is contained in a sabot [French > "Shoe"] - a protective casing that falls away in pre-sectioned pieces after the round leaves the barrel. The sabot serves to protect the flechette from damage while also increases the muzzle velocity. This round is more stable and accurate in flight and can go farther than a slug. They are good for long-range shots against unarmored or lightly-armored targets, or mid-range shots against moderately-armored targets.*

@@Lemon_Sage9999 It could also just be a fictitious bullet with spring-loaded fins. We have to suspend some disbelief but the Massive Steal could be realistic.
While the largest caliber of the MTs255 is 12 gauge allowing it to have a 5 shot cylinder. 10 gauge brass casing did exist. If the ghoul made a modified cylinder and converted the barrel to be 10 gauge and made custom slugs with penetrating flechette tips and “high” explosive tips and spring loaded expanding fins then loaded it in extra spicy in a in 10 gauge brass shell, It could possible. The larger gauge would explain why the cylinder was only 4 shots. Additionally a small benefit of the brass casing is it’s reusable if you replaced the primer and it didn’t expand so he could just craft new slugs.
you’ll notice by the number of “and” that’s a lot of disbelief to suspend. Things that we can’t forgive is how it shoots 6 shots, the unnecessary cocking and doesn’t yk revolve. If you really want to nitpick, maybe the fallout universe found a better method but explosive rounds don’t make that large of an explosion hence the quotation marks and fins wouldn’t really stabilise, It would just make it look cool on the HE rounds at least. So it’s extra work and unnecessary regardless.
But also what do I know I’m just a random internet guy that’s kinda a gun “enthusiast” (if I can even call myself that) that also enjoys over analysing made up guns in a fictional universe.

Open-bolt submachineguns are extremely simple. You can make one in a shed with hardware store parts.
What you _won't_ be able to do easily is cut rifling into a barrel. Other than that, magazines are the hardest thing to make from scratch; handcrafted magazines are almost always a bit finicky.
If you have access to a crude improvised machine shop (very doable in a post-apocalyptic setting) you could make something a bit fancier, like a Sten gun. Still basic, but much nicer than handbuilt.

Then you could at least say the raider's reactions were to the unexpected and severe pain instead of the impact itself.
There's also the possibility of not being normal tranquilizers and instead being a muscle relaxant, which can take effect within a minute as opposed to the ten or so minutes it takes for tranqs.

@@spas6433 My bad, I'll correct myself:
It's the perfect poster child for Bethesda's main projects, since they all take you for granted and act like they're the coolest thing since sliced bread when they're consistently just ok at best.
The main thing to note about the FO4 Assault rifle is that it is the first weapon in the game which is chambered in 5.56, even though the combat rifle has a deep magazine like it's supposed to hold a rifle cartridge (like .308 or 5.56, and it's worth noting that you can UPGRADE it to chamber .308), but chambers .45, which is typically a pistol cartridge (which is to say, not at all matching the depth of the magazine). I bring this up because it's important to establish that you should already have a weapon system that uses that cartridge competently, it's weird that it's reserved for the Assault Rifle, which has all the appearance of a machine gun instead.
Also noteworthy is that you CAN get a 5.56 version of the combat rifle, but it's part of Far Harbor.
Now moving from comparisons within FO4, we can look at previous Fallout games and immediately point out that the Service Rifle is an Armalite descendent like many modern military rifles, appearing to be a common direct-impingement style system in a relatively compact package. For most people who need a 5.56 longarm, the Armalite system is perfectly adequate. For anything more demanding, you're looking at a lot of extra expense for precision manufacturing regardless of what style you want, or you're looking at a belt-fed for the ability to put way more downrange for longer between reloads.
That said, why choose not to use that system, or another common style of rifle that Fallout should have?
I can think of two reasons:
Bethesda does not want to use the Armalite style rifle design, for whatever reason, and,
The sheer bulk of the FO4 Assault Rifle makes it appear size-appropriate for power armor, even though you could say the same of any heavy belt fed machine gun.
Unlike a heavy belt-fed machine gun, which believably could be said is specially paired with Power Armor because it means an unenhanced infantryman doesn't have to lug around this massive weight, they chose to use an outdated, overly bulky design, ostensibly because the Power Armor system made it easy to lug around.
AKA, they used Power Armor as an excuse to dust off a bunch of things that really belong in a museum, rather than make a dedicated companion weapon system for power armor.

    Some points on the STEN.
Strictly according to the manual, if the Sten didn't have a foregrip (the MkI and V did, usually) the soldier was trained to hold the gun by the barrel shroud, as instructed in this manual for the MkII (unfortunately poor quality scan). You'll notice that the instructions specifically state to not hold the gun by the magazine. Or you won't youtube does not allow links sadly but I would show it if I could... If you search this on the archive you should find it. firearms-sten-mk-ii-submachine-gun
However, Sten magazines were notoriously bad - the design was a poor one to begin with, and the early magazines especially were made in a great rush with quite loose tolerances which could lead to feed problems during firing. So in practice it was not uncommon to hold the gun by the magazine housing to be able to brace the magazine and stop it wobbling about so much during firing, and thus potentially reduce the likelihood of a jam. The more skilled user would by all accounts test each magazine before use to make sure the fit was acceptable.

The gyrojet was crap for a few reasons. The big one was that it was inaccurate as hell because it didn't leave the barrel at a reasonable speed. It gained speed over time. Meaning that at short ranges it was likely less than lethal, but also things like wind had a disproportionate effect on the trajectory at the muzzle and for several yards thereafter. I have thought about how to fix these, and Fallout may have used a few of my ideas.
    Or lucked out.
If you made a 12 gauge round, filled with a gyrojet motor instead of the wad, that was ignited by the powder, it would effectively be a 2 stage rocket slug. Initial velocity would be good, and final velocity would be better. A two stage would have one problem, flight stabilization. You could add in spin actuated fins to solve that problem. As the projectile is spun, it moves the fins into position, which would then be locked there by wind resistance. Add in a sabot to make the whole thing sub caliber to prevent detonation in the weapon and this system could work, exactly as depicted.

15:38 The magazine-grip could be a bit of simple confusion; I vaguely recall that it was actually recommended to hold the magazine of some SMGs of the period to provide extra support, due to the loose machining tolerances for maximized production output. I could just be falling for a myth here, but my brain wants to associate that with the PPSh-41 or maybe the STEN gun.
    There's a good chance I'm wrong, but I figured I'd mention it.

I believe you're wrong about the MASSIVE STEEL. It's not exactly a gyrojet round in the show, since it's.. not a rocket? it never seems to work like one. What it does look like is a fin-stabilized slug. An explosive fin-stabilized slug. That would make sense, since you could actually put it into a shotgun shell. Altough, everything else is true about it. They sure screwed up while mutilating the MTs-255. I'd give it 2 bottle caps, still keeping it in the Meme tier.

To be fair to power armor, even if Bugthesda is pretty scarce on lore, either FO2 or Fallout Bible noted, that Enclave APA have only one weakness, helmet lenses, and even then you need a .50 BMG AP round to pierce it. Taknig that into account and extrapolating, the only upgrade in armor T-51 had is some sort of anti-energy weapon coating, so T-45 should, probably, tank anything up to .50 BMG, though not AP.

As for the magazine fed revolver, it’s definitely not pointless. That is how it is 15 shots. 8 in the cylinder, 7 in the magazine. As you shoot the rounds in the cylinder, it fills with the bullets in the magazine.
I don’t get complaining about gun design in a game with laser weapons. That’s a bigger problem than a gun not being practical. I love the Fallout 4 assault rifle. It looks cool. It’s like a steampunk version of the sten. I just accept they have advanced tech that makes these designs more practical.

28:35 I believe it was clear that Cooper's revolver shotgun was intentionally loaded with multiple types of ammunition, as his bandoleer showed a variety of distinct bullets and the camera specifically highlighted when he loaded the anti-power armor round with its unique, pointed design.
It seems that ItsYaBoyBrandyBoy is COMPLETLEY misinterpreting this weapons ammo as he keeps referring to it as a rocket despite it making most sense to be a diverse set of specialty shotgun slugs like 12 gauge in fallout new vegas...

I highly disagree that he should have tried shooting after the Bear broke his Forbidden Fallout 4 Assault Rifle. There's no way that the bite would be a clean cut like with a saw. The edges of the barrel would be crumpled and it would get the bullet stuck and explode the gun.
If something that powerful bites down on the barrel, that gun needs full repairs before being used again.
