I'm super confused by this video because I thought most normal people wore a mixture of high end and drugstore makeup... There are certain products I don't even buy high end because the drugstore has such great options. Drugstore mascara is where its at
AGREED! i never buy high end mascara because you're meant to replace it every 3 months! majority of make up artists have a mixture of both in their kits anyway.
Agreed! I wear high end foundation (chanel), mascara (benefit) and primer (clinique) but everything else I own at the moment makeup wise is drugstore. I use loreal eyeliner and lipstick, rimmel setting powder and revolution eyeshadow. There's certain things that are done just as well at the drugstore. I'm personally a fan of both, I could afford a full face of high end makeup but why waste money when certain things can be just as good at the drugstore if not better sometimes. For example I prefer a slightly less pigmented eyeshadow because I feel it looks more natural and is more forgiving to blending mishaps. If you only go for high end you don't know what you could be missing at the drugstore, which is why I often change up my makeup.
i own a mixture of drugstore make up and high end make up, they're all amazing, why does everyone look down on drugstore make up so much? It works just aswell as benefit or anything like that.
I use a nice mix of both but after using drugstore and high end foundation, I've realized any drugstore I use always breaks me out while my high end stuff never has. But I love me a good dupe
Libbi Donnison as a tween I don't brag cause that's what people think of drugstore make up. I shop at a local drugstore so I learn not to get attached cause they always have different ones but if I go to Walmart and see the brand I like I treat myself.
Did anyone notice how Saf's makeup worked out the best? I'm thinking that's because whether it's high end or drug store makeup it doesn't matter nearly as much as the person putting it on, or the application.
I'm guessing it's because they're so used to the high end products that they have really low expectations for the drugstore ones and when the products didn't perform as well as they wanted them to so..
They also arent very good at applying makeup so its not really the makeups fault. Someone who is a makeup artist or just good at applying makeup could use drugstore.
Really? I always wear drugstore make up. I have a few high end items, but I save those for special occasions. It's crazy that some people stay away from se of the gems that can be found at the drugstore.
i SWEAR by cover girl mascara! its the only thing ill use. there are great products at the drug store and bad products at high end stores and vice versa.
I'm not OP, but Nyx soft matte lip creams ($6 each) and Wet N' Wild single shadows ($1 each) are great. Honestly the Wet N' Wild shadows are higher quality than some of the other more pricey drugstore stuff like Maybelline.
+wanderback elf primers, the elf eyeliner marker, maybelline fit me foundation (if you have dry skin), revlon matte pressed powder, wet n wild mega glo contouring and highlighting pallets, Covergirl supersizer mascara
Why is drug store makeup so looked down upon? If you know what you're doing with makeup, high end or not, it's not going to matter. I know women who pay way to much for high end and don't know how to apply it. High end doesn't necessarily mean better.
The fact American drugstores don't have testers is so weird. In the UK the only makeup with no testers is like the cheapest £1 store makeup. Normal drugstore brands like Loreal, Rimmel, etc. all have testers.
Exactly! It would be horrible doing drugstore shopping in america considering they have no testers. I've seen some drugstore brands here in the uk have testers just for an entire eyeshadow palette and powder blushes as well.
Well I like light coverage foundations so the Maybelline fit me foundation is amazing. Eyeliner can be a little hard to find I guess but I heard the physician formula one that came out is pretty good. I like gel so I use the loreal one. The lash sensational mascara by Maybelline is amazing but my favorite is by a brand called essence (kinda hard to find I think) it was like 4 bucks and is the princess false lash effect mascara. So good
+Oviya Moorthy Thank you! I only need light coverage foundation because I don't get acne or anything, I'm just red a lot, so thank you so much for the help!
+caity rawr I prefer my raveling colorstay foundation over my MAC foundation. I also like Loreal's infallible gel eyeliner & their voluminous mascara. For lips, u recommend revlons colorburst balms
I love ladylike but I feel like this needs to be said. I honestly don't understand why they can hardly make it through a week with drugstore makeup? I can only afford drugstore makeup and I would never swap! Yes I would like to have some more expensive makeup but that is what I have to deal with so... I am honestly not trying to hate on ladylike or buzzfeed but I think they should have realised that what they where saying could be offensive to some people. Thank you for reading
Charlotte J I agree, drugstore is not as bad as people say, it is just bias, if they spend more money on it they feel as if it is better even if it is just the same, some people only can afford drugstore
Some people faithfully wear highend makeup, I used to be they way. It shouldn’t be offensive to some people, some people truly don’t think drugstore works as well. If people are that offended by someone else’s personal preference they just need to stay off the internet until they’re a bit more emotionally stable. Also,I think people forget that these girls work in front of harsh studio lights nearly everyday and need long lasting makeup. It’s no secret that some of the longer lasting makeup is more expensive.
I understand what you mean even though others seem not to understand or think you shouldn’t be offended. The video came off a little like they were unable to function if it cost less, little high horse, I understand. I know they didn’t mean it but people are going to feel like this because drugstore makeup may be the only things others can afford, and kind of is like they are looking down on it.
Bruh even Tati (one of the most highend/drugstore beauty gurus in youtube) USES drugstore makeup on a daily basis. You just have to look for the best products for you :/ she has sensitive skin and she looks like a million bucks daily
I hate the stigma about drugstore makeup. There are actually really good products, and there are some terrible ones. Same with high end in my experience.
not all drugstore make up is that bad. I personally love nyxs, rimmel and max factory. You just have to test a few things before you find the right drugstore make up. only my foundation is not from a drugstore but cost €20. not that much in my opinion...
Makeup I put on everyday... Eyeshadow $55 Foundation $6 Eyeliner $2 Blush $7 Brow gel $7 Brow Pomade $10 Contour stick $14 Mascara $6 -did get it at a huge sale though Highlighter anywhere from $5-55 My lipsticks range from $2-25 Point being it's not about high end/low end it's about what works!

Whoa. That's a lot of stuff you must have tried. I hope it's OK to add my opinions down here... Primer: My favorite is Mabelline baby skin. Foundation: L'oreal perfect match made me break out ;) and it's really liquid. Which is why I switched to Max Factor miracle match (applies very nicely) Concealer: didn't find a good one yet, but I'll probably be trying to use up the one from essence for ever. Powder: I'm using a no-name anti-pimple one, so that won't be any help. Brand is Cadeavera. It's awesome. brows: Yves Rocher browpencil (not that expensive in my country), or a shade from my "the nudes" palette, to use it up quicker and make space for better eyeshadows Eyeshadow: Mabelline "the nudes" really isn't recommendable imo. loads of fallout and product and applicator just can't be used together aka the applicator is crap, or the eyeshadow to dense. Good eyeshadow is hard to find, which is why I like using Astor ones. More pricy but worth it. Eyeliner: here again essence liquid ink isn't a recommendible in my book. It's got a quite thick texture and as the applicator also doesn't have that much of a pointed tip it's really hard to handle. It gets easier as the bottle empties, though. There are also some tricks to get the job done with it. And as I sometimes like that bold eyeliner look it'll stay part of my makeup. A good drugstore one is the Catrice liquid liner. double as expensive as the one from essence but very fine applicator and more liquid texture than the essence one. More for day-makeup. Mascara: I gloryfy the Yves Rocher Sexy pulp, but haven't found a less expensive good option. Might try your recommendations on that one Lips: you're right, the essence lipliners are great, but I haven't found a good essence lipstick yet. ;)
Thank you for this amazing list! A lot of these are my all time faves! If i might add more, here goes: Primer: Isadora Undercover face primer (Isadora is a brand available at least in Europe, probably not in the US though?) Foundation: Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Eyeshadow: Sleek palettes (A New Day is my favourite neutral one, there's even a shade I use for highlight) Milani Eyeshadow Primer Mascara: Loreal Double Extension Beauty Tubes NYX Doll Eye Mascara Long Lash Contouring: NYX High Definition Blush in the shade Taupe Highlight: Boots/No7 Skin Illuminator Radiance boosting beauty fluid Essence Mono Eyeshadow in the shade Grammy goes glammy Lips: Rimmel Provocalips 16 hr Lip Color Essence Longlasting Lipsticks Maybelline Color Jolt Lip Paints
+Angelina Arrigucci Who does use pink undertoned foundation, then? Surely yellow, neutral and olive-toned women don't wear them lol. A great case of this is grav3yardgirl who never wears pink undertone foundation and the stark contrast between her face and neck would look better if she had light pink tones instead of neutral or yellow.
I live in the pacific northwest, and I've never been in a grocery store or drugstore that had testers out here. :( You have to go to Sephora or Ulta or something if you want to swatch stuff.
sure, not ALL drugstore products are fantastic, but it only takes a little bit of effort to find really great ones. I feel like they didn't try at all in this video, and just very easily came to the conclusion that "they can't live without sephora". honestly everyone just sounded so spoiled.
I know! If they did a bit of research, read reviews, even watched some TH-cam videos- They could have found much better products. They wasted their time and money.
Once you get into high-end makeup, you do become seriously spoiled and snobbish, lol. I'm super guilty of it myself, but there just IS a huge difference. I've been into makeup for 10+ years, and only within the past year have I gotten into high end brands - And barely anything drugstore I've ever tried actually matches up with it.
+Monica Molin Me too! I'll never go back to drugstore makeup, there is a huge difference between drugstore and mid-end makeup. High end makeup like Chanel is a whole 'nother ballgame.
Yeah they really just jumped right into the video without any research, if you spend awhile online and watching reviews you can find amazing products that actually work for your skin type
Wow this really pissed me off. How about you do some research on products before buying like normal people do. I literally watch swatches, hauls, try ons, blog reviews on products before buying, otherwise you're just wasting money on products you will never wear again. Sure they're just drugstore and less expensive but it all adds up as everyone saw in the video. These high end girls are so frivolous with their money and completely gave drugstore make up a bad name. I'm very disappointed in the girl tested girls...
I agree with you, but that's part of the point of these type of BuzzFeed videos. There is very little prior research done and it's mostly a "face value" test. The same could be said for me if I just went to Sephora or Mac and bought a bunch of stuff that I thought was nice. I could probably hate some of it. But I feel you. The lack of research annoyed me too. I also religiously watch like 25+ makeup people on YT to be sure I'm going to like something or that it looks good on my skin tone.
For some reason I feel like they're trying to make drugstore makeup seem like a bad thing? I mean come on stop being a makeup snob. Most of us ordinary folks have to buy food, pay rent, we don't have the money to spend $300 on makeup. Geez
Yeah agreed but I feel like that it’s important to just do your research while shopping for drugstore makeup plus the best setting powder I have is from nyx
they all acting like drugstore makeup is the wort thing ever when most people with +/- 20 years use only that bc make up is freaking expensive and we are only students not millionaires
You don't have to be a millionaire to afford Sephora .... Or even mac, nars etc. if you can afford drug store makeup good for you but don't go dissing us people who can afford expensive makeup.
You just have to do the research before you buy - read reviews, watch swatching videos etc. They went in blind, and that's how you waste money. Plenty of drug store stuff is the best. I've tried a lot of high end mascaras and I still keep going back to Covergirl's Clump Crusher. It's like 7.50 vs 20-30 dollars and I think it's way better.
have ya'll not seen those really amazing makeup tutorials using only drugstore makeup?? some makeup is actually pretty good you just have to look for it. they act like there's nothing good at the drugstore
yeah lol maybe if they did like 'full face nikkietutorials intense eyeshadow' makeup I would kind of understand but even then ??? drugstore makeup isn't bad
I love ladylike but Chantel saying she felt "ashamed" all week was crude. I'm 32 and only use drugstore makeup I love it and because that's my budget. This video was in bad taste, as I imagine most viewers are in the same boat I am.
they're acting like only poor people wear drugstore like calm down not everyone can drop 300$ n makeup when they have bills to pay, kids to feed and tuition to pay. Drugstore makeup can be just as good, just look for it
Right! it's like spend 40 bucks for a Nars blush or buy some groceries for your kids, or something else. if you got it then spend how you want, but don't put down those who can't. totally agree.
Yes! Ca'leah you are so correct. 300 hundred dollars is a lot of money. For me to get at least 300 hundred dollars I have to work a 10 hour shift but not only that I have stuff to pay and now I'm only left with like 30$ or less like excuse me? not everyone is rich and can spend 300$ on makeup anytime they want. Drugstore is such an amazing place and has many dupes for high end.
agreed! Its all about brands. the one girl had a wet and wild lipstick and thats her biggest mistake. when she went back and bought a better brand she liked it a lot more.
to be honest, it doesn't matter how much makeup costs. what matters is HOW you apply it. Or get what works for you. You are the artist. Your face is the paper. I knew someone who bought high end makeup, but it didn't look very nice on her. And she was very upset that I was able to look nice with just my drugstore makeup. Don't judge a book by its cover. Same thing with clothes. You could buy things for less, and still look bomb. You control on how you want your tools to work for you. 😘It's like art.
me too!! the only high end makeup I prefer is moisturizer but other than that I do not see the point in paying highly for something that the drugstore can do better and cheaper.
YES! I was literally thinking the exact same thing! These girls were acting like they were amazing beauty gurus when none of them seemed to be educated in types of makeup and how to DO makeup😂
I agree but It’s also the skin type of you have oily eyelids and an oily product it will most likely transfer dry skin and matte foundation also probably won’t work either
Panda Gurl bb cream $1.10 lip gloss $ 1:50 eye liner $1.10 eye shadow creamer $1.10 thats my main and usual make source but i have a shadow palet mom bought me 14.99 and lots more but i just put down my main uses
Panda Gurl 1. Eyeliner (free) 2. eyeshadow/eyebrow pallet ($8) 3. Concealer ( $7) 4. Primer (free) 5. Lip stain (free) 6. Foundation ($14) I live off of samples lmAO
I can't fathom spending that much on makeup. The most I spend is like $15 on drugstore makeup every 5 months and then the rest is for adventures and traveling. $200+ is insane!
+allison lopez omg me too. It's because I'm not a big makeup user so it's usually the basics that I need. Also I'm usually broke from buying groceries, clothes, internet shopping, stationery e.t.c😁
Pink =/= red. Her skin is red because it's irritated and possibly rosacea. She's very green/yellow undertoned. Look at her chest and arms, not her sensitive cheeks.
Well she should know because her skin has a pink undertone. High end foundations don't have much pink undertones in my experience. Usually the pale ones are yellow based.
I have holy grails from the drugstore and flops from Sephora; everything is relative. Spending more on a product gives some people this placebo effect where they think it's better when it's actually the same ingredients as the cheaper versions. My recommendations: Revlon Colorstay foundation, Milani baked blushes, Maybelline Moisture Matte lipsticks, NYC liquid eyeliners, L'Oreal waterproof mascaras, and so on
Well they didn't use NYX which I personally think is the best drugstore brand. Also, not everyone can afford high end makeup. Like high end they're always bad and good products. Also did they get or use setting spray?
+Kelsey Wakeman yeah lol, I own a lot of NYX, and just started getting into high end! NYX is a very great brand for people who want nice products, and nice prices.
Why are some people salty that the girls can afford and prefer higher end makeup? Drugstore is great but sometimes you want something of a bit higher quality. No shame in that.
I think it's just a bit offensive to people who use drugstore makeup because they know that these girls aren't really trying to make the best of drugstore makeup they can't put aside their bias and just use the drugstore makeup without comparing it to the high end one. It's like they aren't really giving it consideration, they see drugstore makeup as less than and aren't trying to truly appreciate it.
People always get pissy when someone has more than them on the internet... But a lot of high end makeup really is better quality. They should have read reviews before they went in and blindly bought stuff though
It's because people take offense to everything nowadays. So sensitive because ladylike didn't like a FEW drugstore products. TRAGIC. Instead of putting their recommendations of the products they like in the comments they have to spread their negativity and put down the way ladylike applies their makeup.
This video is like a drugstore makeup user going to Sephora, buying the worst products and giving a biased review. Drugstore makeup has some definite winners. I really believe they should have put in some effort to find out what's best at the drugstore.
Wet n wild setting spray/bronzer/highlighter/foundation, Milani lip-stick/liquid lip/blush, nyc liquid liner, Maybelline gel & pencil, covergirl mascara, nyx everything It's fine to have high end products, but some drugstore makeup items are drop dead gorgeous.
Is there really that much difference between drugstore and high end makeup though, because I only own drugstore stuff, and I think I can actually make it look pretty damn good! As long as you know what you're doing, drugstore stuff is fine.
Yeah. Especially for people who do t wear much make up and don't wanna waste 100 bucks on a lipstick that can be found with the same color in a drug store TBH
there are some big difference between them, but I think that the important part is to find products that works for your skin type. because some skins are really sensitive and does not go well with some kind of products, and sometimes the high end make up are better with those types of skin, not always, but most of the time... and the thing is, you should have key products, like a very good foundation and concealer, a good eye liner, if you're into it, and the rest is kind of whatever... but I think that the more you like make up, the more you want to try good products and sometimes it can be high end or drugstore... it's really up to you and what fits in your budget.
I've used both high end (mostly mac) and drug store, and there definitely is a difference. you notice it more when you're the kind of person that wears make up everyday for extended periods of time. High end foundation stays on the face longer, eyeliner hardly smudges, lipstick has better staying power, they're more pigmented. HOWEVER, there are the occasional drug store items that rival the high end makeup but you have to really know which one to choose. Especially if you have sensitive skin, drug store brands can cause skin to break out more often.
I definitely prefer high end makeup more there's a very big deference between high end a small drug store you can feel it when you put it on and you can see it through out the day. I haven't broken out since I started using Kay Von d's born this way foundation compared to maybellines fit me foundation.
Usually I think these girls are great, but this video kind of felt like they were a bit condescending. As if only people who are kids (as in not mature or sophisticated) buy cheaper make-up and it is so unbearable to even lower themselves to try it. Especially the L'Oreal comment on the end. Excuse me, but most people I know have trouble affording even L'Oreal. I am sure we would all love to be able to throw that much money away to have make-up that is better. Be grateful you are lucky enough to get paid so much for making little videos that you can afford to spend so much on just your looks. But you might remember that the people watching you aren't always so lucky, so you might want to check your attitude a little.
80$ is like half of my monthly paycheck and they're throwing away hundreds on what basically is some greasy colored dirt... I'm... feeling a lot of bad things rn >:@
it’s important for makeup to be non-comedogenic and free of harsh chemicals, so while some drugstore products can be great, they can have serious affects on the skin. sometimes high end is better!
kristen got masterkajal which is specifically meant for the water line! it's too creamy to put on the upper lid god at least do research if ur make a video
Wet n Wild shadows, Maybelline "paint pots" (Idk what its called) and their gel liners are the BOMB DIGGITY too! ++ Nyx eyebrow products and soft matte lip creams :B
same ,but they are working fine for me ,no smudging ,no breakouts ,no greasing , they picked up the Bad stuff i guess ,and eyeliner should always be bought waterproof.. but it's buzzfeed and in every makeup Video there is, they showed that they are kinda too stupid to put on makeup ,idk.
Don't! Most people start out with drugstore, especially the lower end. It's like a rite of passage for makeup-lovers, haha. But even if you never use mid or high-end, that's fine. It's not everyone's cup of tea, and some drugstore stuff works great too. I like mostly mid-end but I started out with "the cheap stuff" for several years and still use some of the drugstore finds that work just as well as expensive ones.
***** i don't think the point of makeup for some people is to look like they cake it on? they want their skin to look naturally even and as flawless as possible...and we literally only see them in a snap of their lives and its ALWAYSS at work
I'mAFancyWhale Quite true. If they're so poor they should get a decent job and start working instead of lazing about all day complaining about their so-called 'lack of food'.
Literally dropped about $80 in drugstore makeup yesterday, and that was the basics plus a little case and some basic brushes. I was starting to feel a bit guilty, and then I was like "there are probably eyeshadow pallets out there with about six colors or less that cost $40 or more." Maybelline is actually great. They a lot of their foundations are exclusive to normal to oily skin (MOI!) or normal to dry skin. Then most of their powders are fine with all skin types. The problem? I spent about two hours figuring what I needed that would match well. The Dream Matte Mousse is probably my favorite foundation because its so light and silky, and you use so little!
Yeah it's really not that cheap. Revlon liquid lipsticks cost like 12-13 dollars here. I might as well spend the extra 7 bucks and get myself a mac lipstick.
You don't buy it all at once, though! :p I own a lot of make up products...to be fair, a lot more comes from QVC these days which is far better value...but it's rare...actually it's never happened...that I run out of a bunch of products at once.
+Nicola Newman yh, I guess. But I'm one of those people who isn't too crazy about makeup cuz my everyday look is pretty basic tbh. I love saving money and feel really bad if I spend too much money on something that I can get for a cheaper price somewhere else and for the same quality. Expensive things aren't always better.
+Nicola Newman wow that's actually a good technique that I need to start using tbh. I'm the kinda person who if I use a particular product and everywhere I look, it's the same price, I either would just buy it another time or use an alternative product (only as a last resort) but I have to start looking out for discount options around me :)
... Isn't that a little too much? Maybe at least invest in a better quality base makeup because it directly touches your skin and it could be harmful if it's so cheap, cheaper isn't always better
@@luhanluhan2329 It all depends on where you get it from. Maybelline and NYC have some powders and foundations around that price, and they're good quality from what I've heard.
I've seen people do amazing makeup with drugstore brands-I just think they're not very good at doing makeup lol which is crazy considering how much they spend on it watch some tutorials or favorites videos damn
they complain about their skin breaking out bc its drug store but.....they're breaking out mostly bc they're changing their routine, doesn't matter if it's drug store or high end.
no shade but for someone that complains about the quality of drugstore makeup, Kristen NEVER wears her lipstick in the lines/evenly. seriously look at any of the videos she's in, her lipstick is a mess. I think that's why this video makes me so irked is because it's not like she's a phenomenal makeup artist, she has the application skills of a 14 year old but whines about how horrible cheap makeup is.
Sarah N. TBH, I thought Kristin was the least bratty about it. She really liked the Wet 'n Wild lipstick she found. She was having trouble with the drugstore primer burning her skin and breaking her out. That's a valid complaint and has nothing to do with application skills. She also didn't blanket all drugstore primers as having this problem, but just said it's hard because you can't swatch them like you do at a Sephora or Ulta.
This video honestly makes me cringe. If you watch reviews and maybe find makeup products that do what you wanna do, you still can look like $300. My makeup routine costs about $60 and the foundation I use covers ALL of my acne and my eyes still look glittery and pretty. It's all on the products you find. I don't think going to a drugstore and picking out what you think "seems good" will make you look how you want. This video was disappointing because they don't even look good with the high end makeup. #sorrynotsorry
Yassss. There are so many articles and reviews comparing high-end makeup to drugstore makeup. If you do some research, you really don't have to spend that much money for quality makeup.
U gurls are lucky to have sephora or similar in your lives.. In here(uruguay) we dont. All my makeup is drugstore and im proud. Couse all famous brands are so expensive... Lile everythin in this country
We don't have Sephora in Australia and it sucks sooooo much. When I go to countries in Europe and my sister and I spend our life there and I hate cheap makeup it's so gross. It makes me skin breakout and go really really red. The only foundation I use is either Mac or NARS.
+The 2 Mermaids it's also very different when your skin is so used to a certain formula, like for me since I can't afford high end make up I use the drugstore foundation works great for my skin, while the Mac and NARS is really hard on my skin. It's really just what your skin is used to
It's kind of a slap in the face that Freddy actually refused to do this video. Like she doesn't want to stoop "low". And drugstore actually has a quite large selection, especially if you are more olive, warm, neutral, or cool/pink toned.
+scarlette tapley although you don't know her reason for not being in it. It could just be that she had a lot of work or couldn't for some other reason.
+Caroline Nilsson but it's super obvious /: she was laughing the whole time, and on the featuring of the earlier video, all of her products were high end
Wait, these are cheap makeups for American people? All of these are quite expensive in my country! It's basically high-end makeup for us! What brands are considered premium for you guys? :o
I love ladylike but this video kinda made it seem like if you buy drug store makeup, you're innately buying a not great product. I wish they had emphasized more that it is about finding what works for you and a lot of trial and error to find the right producta
I agree totally! There are drugstore products that are literally made with the same exact ingredients and cost less because you're not paying for the famous brand. JUST DO YOUR RESEARCH, because there are high cost products that can such just as much. This video is just all complaining
Also depends on your skills. There are plenty of examples on TH-cam of makeup looks with ALL drug store products and they look flawless. If you have good technique your makeup will look nice. I especially love the videos where they do half the face high end and the other half drug store and there is basically no difference in appearance, mainly because they are great at applying makeup!
Honestly the only reason why I don't buy drug store makeup is because they do not have my shade #blackgirlproblems, I see why Freddie didn't want to join in 😂
They got the crappiest drugstore stuff. I use drugstore eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow pencil and sometimes eyeshadow. pretty much the only high end makeup I use is concealer... everything else in buy online. I used to use makeup forever, Mac, Lancome etc.. bottom line, it really doesn't have much to do with whether it's drug store or high end. You need to try a bunch of products to see what works for you.
wouldve been better if they actually looked up reviews and really did try to get GOOD products rather then just buying whatever cheap stuff they see lol.....
Crazy how has drugstore makeup evolved since then! Drugstore makeup brands have really really good quality that competes with a lot of high end brands.
I'm super confused by this video because I thought most normal people wore a mixture of high end and drugstore makeup... There are certain products I don't even buy high end because the drugstore has such great options. Drugstore mascara is where its at
AGREED! i never buy high end mascara because you're meant to replace it every 3 months! majority of make up artists have a mixture of both in their kits anyway.
maybelline mascara is my religion
I agree I like drugstore mascara but my current favorite mascara is urban decay trouble maker which is $24
@@lunar..eclipse agreed. Lash Sensational is my favorite holy grail mascara
I love how Chantel and Kristin were so shocked at how much they spent on makeup daily and then Safiya just calmly stated "$387"
Kade Payne lol
Sebastian Payne
I recall her thinking it would be more
How much I spend on makeup is nothing
Imagine how much it is now
Sebastian Payne Aaa,a,a
Aala,a,amasmm😾
i own a mixture of drugstore make up and high end make up, they're all amazing, why does everyone look down on drugstore make up so much? It works just aswell as benefit or anything like that.
Libbi Donnison I know right. I use a mixture of both as well. I actually prefer drugstore eyeliner to high-end as well as concealer
Libbi Donnison yeah, you just have to know what to get and you gotta know your brands
I use a nice mix of both but after using drugstore and high end foundation, I've realized any drugstore I use always breaks me out while my high end stuff never has. But I love me a good dupe
Libbi Donnison wet and wild is my favorite drugstore brand
Libbi Donnison as a tween I don't brag cause that's what people think of drugstore make up. I shop at a local drugstore so I learn not to get attached cause they always have different ones but if I go to Walmart and see the brand I like I treat myself.
Did anyone notice how Saf's makeup worked out the best? I'm thinking that's because whether it's high end or drug store makeup it doesn't matter nearly as much as the person putting it on, or the application.
I love high end makeup, but I've tried some awesome makeup at the drugstore. I think they exaggerated a bit with how horrible they thought stuff was.
What products do you like?
They're extremely biased. From the beginning, it seemed somewhat obvious that they weren't going to like the products as much as the high end ones.
agree
I'm guessing it's because they're so used to the high end products that they have really low expectations for the drugstore ones and when the products didn't perform as well as they wanted them to so..
They also arent very good at applying makeup so its not really the makeups fault. Someone who is a makeup artist or just good at applying makeup could use drugstore.
Really?
I always wear drugstore make up.
I have a few high end items, but I save those for special occasions.
It's crazy that some people stay away from se of the gems that can be found at the drugstore.
some* not se, lol
What are some things you consider gems? Always want to know more!
i SWEAR by cover girl mascara! its the only thing ill use. there are great products at the drug store and bad products at high end stores and vice versa.
EXACTLY!!!!
Some of it is good but once you start buying high end you see a difference if you apply it correctly
+Julieanna Graham I wouldn't be able to spend $20 on an eyeliner alone. It'd kill me.
+Monica Marie haha that's what I use to think but it's kind of like an addiction
Exactly! I use mainly drugstore makeup and the quality is amazing-i have some high end products but rarely use it.
I wish we had testers. Otherwise it's like a hit and miss when we buy it. 😢
I'm from Canada and I was thinking the same thing!!
I'm from Australia and I was thinking the same thing
EilsTheDaydreamer i'm from america and the store i live by has testers for everything except wet n wild nd that stuff
Honestly I wear almost only drugstore makeup. Just do ur research to find what's best
Can you recommend some brands or items? Looking for good foundation and eyeliner mostly, but mascara and lipstick would be helpful too!
Yeah NP! And a really good loose powder is by NYC. Its so good
+caity rawr I prefer my raveling colorstay foundation over my MAC foundation. I also like Loreal's infallible gel eyeliner & their voluminous mascara. For lips, u recommend revlons colorburst balms
Ok but, literally all my makeup is drugstore and I still look bomb asf like wha
SAMMME
Also love your name and picture
What?
ur a crybaby too

Make Jen use high end make up for a week.
I'll watch that
I feel like she already does lmao
YES
+leila es I think in the original make up bag price video her make up was the cheapest.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
Their skin is breaking out and having rashes because their skin isn’t use to that makeup.
How is them not being able to use something that you do offensive to you? Is it anything that will offend you?
You just have to look for the best products for you :/ she has sensitive skin and she looks like a million bucks daily
was looking for a comment about that ray of Sunshine. I love her dearly and you're 100% right
yaaazzzz!!!! i try to exclusively buy only tati-approved products and thank god she uses drugstores!
+miss jane SAME. If Tati likes it then it's a great product 😂😂
Ikr she is the makeup investigatorrr
yess!
drugstore makeup works fine if you know what you're doing.
Exactly
I agree they seemed like they've never wore makeup before haha
👏👏👏
***** ok wow good for u but high end makeup can do that too. Find what works for you and leave me alone.
The funny thing is that their makeup is awful using sephora makeup so...
I hate the stigma about drugstore makeup. There are actually really good products, and there are some terrible ones. Same with high end in my experience.
Yeah exactly
" My eyeliner has its own eyebrows" totally my eyes 😂
I am the same
when ever i do makeup
which is when i look the door to my room and''play!''
Arianna U
That happens with my eyeshadow.
hooded eyelid problems lol just inevitably happens every time i wear eyeliner or eyeshadow
I wonder if she used eyelid primer? 🤔
not all drugstore make up is that bad. I personally love nyxs, rimmel and max factory. You just have to test a few things before you find the right drugstore make up. only my foundation is not from a drugstore but cost €20. not that much in my opinion...
Stefania Welvaert I love NYX
Stefania Welvaert rimmel drugstore?! I tought that it was a little on the expensive side
HowtodrawWithM at our drugstores in Belgium they sell it as drugstore make up :/
Stefania Welvaert ,vf
Stefania Welvaert I love maybelline as well
Makeup I put on everyday...
Eyeshadow $55
Foundation $6
Eyeliner $2
Blush $7
Brow gel $7
Brow Pomade $10
Contour stick $14
Mascara $6 -did get it at a huge sale though
Highlighter anywhere from $5-55
My lipsticks range from $2-25
Point being it's not about high end/low end it's about what works!

Whoa. That's a lot of stuff you must have tried. I hope it's OK to add my opinions down here...
Primer: My favorite is Mabelline baby skin.
Foundation: L'oreal perfect match made me break out ;) and it's really liquid. Which is why I switched to Max Factor miracle match (applies very nicely)
Concealer: didn't find a good one yet, but I'll probably be trying to use up the one from essence for ever.
Powder: I'm using a no-name anti-pimple one, so that won't be any help. Brand is Cadeavera. It's awesome.
brows: Yves Rocher browpencil (not that expensive in my country), or a shade from my "the nudes" palette, to use it up quicker and make space for better eyeshadows
Eyeshadow: Mabelline "the nudes" really isn't recommendable imo. loads of fallout and product and applicator just can't be used together aka the applicator is crap, or the eyeshadow to dense.
Might try your recommendations on that one
Lips: you're right, the essence lipliners are great, but I haven't found a good essence lipstick yet. ;)
Wow, thx, I was looking for some good drugstore products xxx
wow
Thank you for this amazing list! A lot of these are my all time faves! If i might add more, here goes:
Primer:
Isadora Undercover face primer (Isadora is a brand available at least in Europe, probably not in the US though?)
Foundation:
Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless
Eyeshadow:
Sleek palettes (A New Day is my favourite neutral one, there's even a shade I use for highlight)
Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Mascara:
Loreal Double Extension Beauty Tubes
NYX Doll Eye Mascara Long Lash
Contouring:
NYX High Definition Blush in the shade Taupe
Highlight:
Boots/No7 Skin Illuminator Radiance boosting beauty fluid
Essence Mono Eyeshadow in the shade Grammy goes glammy
Lips:
Rimmel Provocalips 16 hr Lip Color
Essence Longlasting Lipsticks
Maybelline Color Jolt Lip Paints
you're my savior omg
They are acting like they bought it from some dude off a street 😂
"I am not pink" stares at all the pink and red patches all over her face 😂
That's redness, not her undertone. If you would have a pink undertone you would not pick a pink foundation as it would just make it look worse.
I have a lot of redness in my face but my undertone is yellow.
YAS FAM
This is a nasty thing to say. Shame on you.
"I didn't realize how pink all of these foundations are... and I am not pink."
*literally has the pinkest face out of all 3 of the girls*
Lindsey Swain omg yeah lol
+Lepoop Isgay so?
Lindsey Swain she is fat
Angel skate yeah she is. Your point?
Angel skate no she's not she's beautiful Jesus Christ why do you feel the need to comment that
do…
do American drugstores not have testers?
Mine does. Maybe they were at a weird drugstore??
Not some.
Depends on the store
None of ones I've ever been to.
I live in the pacific northwest, and I've never been in a grocery store or drugstore that had testers out here. :(
You have to go to Sephora or Ulta or something if you want to swatch stuff.
When you realize that the makeup you usually use is considered “cheap”
sure, not ALL drugstore products are fantastic, but it only takes a little bit of effort to find really great ones.
High end makeup like Chanel is a whole 'nother ballgame.
exactly
I also religiously watch like 25+ makeup people on YT to be sure I'm going to like something or that it looks good on my skin tone.
stfu
+Ligget i totally agree with you.
Oooo look at all these high end supporters who are mad because I gave an opinion in support of drugstore make up.
calm down dude
Ladylike is the only reason I'm still subscribed to Buzzfeed tbh
Same
What about the Try Guys?
me too and the try guys and buzzfeed unsolved
ladylike try guys and test friends tbh
+Cinthya me
For some reason I feel like they're trying to make drugstore makeup seem like a bad thing? I mean come on stop being a makeup snob. Most of us ordinary folks have to buy food, pay rent, we don't have the money to spend $300 on makeup. Geez
Yeah agreed but I feel like that it’s important to just do your research while shopping for drugstore makeup plus the best setting powder I have is from nyx
they all acting like drugstore makeup is the wort thing ever when most people with +/- 20 years use only that bc make up is freaking expensive and we are only students not millionaires
they make me feel so bad for using drugstore makeup pfff
You don't have to be a millionaire to afford Sephora .... Or even mac, nars etc. if you can afford drug store makeup good for you but don't go dissing us people who can afford expensive makeup.
+The 2 Mermaids I don't think she is dissing them. She is saying that she isn't as fortunate as other people who can afford Sephora.
***** how did I diss you? lmao
i know, it's sorta annoying
Loads of MAKEUP ARTIST use also deug store male up so you girls need to chill.
Drug
yeah, Lisa Eldrige uses drugstore stuff quite often in her vids and I think she knows quite a bit more about makeup than these girls
Thank you. They come across as very spoiled.
their makeup skills are very mediocre tbh that must be why makeup artists can pull it off while they can't
+Kate Lundberg agree ESP. that long haired girl-she even admitted it.😔
I only ever use drug store makeup so this video is like waaattt to me
Recommend some brands?
+caity rawr Loreal is great
+Elia Shtrit for everything? I heard they have good foundation and eyeliner
Their lipsticks are really nice in my opinion, just need to be reapplied, Their mascaras are amazing too!
Same here! I love maybelline, I use their concealer, mascara, and eyeliner.
How many women are watching this and thinking, yeah, Loriel is the expensive stuff for me. :\
Sarah Coleman yh I don't get it!! How are they still spending like £120 on like 6 things and calling it drugstore makeup!!!
ME! l’oreal is expensive for me! it’s like £10 for a blush!
Buzzfeed paid them, it isnt their own money and usually we just buy a few items they bought a full face.
Everything is too expensive for me I'm broke
Yesssss! I have "high end drugstore brands" like Maybelline and cheap drugstore brands like elf and Wet n Wild.
well maybe you didn't choose the right makeup ,drugstore can be better than high end sometimes
panic! at the neighbourhood in 1975 Emphasis on "sometimes"
Justin Hopkins yeah you just have to choose the right one
and high end should be good all the time since we spend like 30 dollars on an eyeliner
Musical Nerd lol yes 😂😂😂
Phanic! At the My Chemical Martinez TØP Trash are you from Canada??? because I learned from simply nail logical about shoppers drug Mart.
Alicia Rios you are so cringe and I'm from goddamn Canada 😹
I can't afford high end haha
same haha
aw, even they just used drugstore when they were younger....youll get there
Me too
same lmao
You just have to do the research before you buy - read reviews, watch swatching videos etc. They went in blind, and that's how you waste money. Plenty of drug store stuff is the best. I've tried a lot of high end mascaras and I still keep going back to Covergirl's Clump Crusher. It's like 7.50 vs 20-30 dollars and I think it's way better.
have ya'll not seen those really amazing makeup tutorials using only drugstore makeup?? some makeup is actually pretty good you just have to look for it. they act like there's nothing good at the drugstore
True and profile picture is 👌
Also I have no idea why some of the text got crossed out.
The phandom is everywhere and I love it
ikr like what
yeah lol maybe if they did like 'full face nikkietutorials intense eyeshadow' makeup I would kind of understand but even then ??? drugstore makeup isn't bad
Drugstore makeup can be just as good, just look for it
Thank you lol
true
Right! it's like spend 40 bucks for a Nars blush or buy some groceries for your kids, or something else. if you got it then spend how you want, but don't put down those who can't. totally agree.
Sounds like this video hit a nerve because that's not the vibe I got.
I only use drug store make up and I get lots of compliments on my make up and some even asked me if I got my make up professionally done lol
SAME!
Mello Matt you just need to buy the right products and watch lot's of tutorials hahah
samee
Merita Hetemi well even drugstore makeup can look as good as high end if it is applied well
Merita Hetemi same! The one part is, they bought the expensive low end makeup. I got my entire stuff for $50 and I use it daily now.
All I wear is drugstore makeup. It's not that bad if you get the right brands! 😂😂
True, I've found that I actually prefer some drug store products over higher end ones
Same! I love elf and their things are SOO cheap. I wish they would've tried elf or at least searched some good dupes before going and buying stuff
Not if you can't find your shade in any of the lines 🙄😭
agreed! Its all about brands. the one girl had a wet and wild lipstick and thats her biggest mistake. when she went back and bought a better brand she liked it a lot more.
+Sophie K you can't find your shade in what? a foundation? try the Maybelline fit me foundation
to be honest, it doesn't matter how much makeup costs. what matters is HOW you apply it.
Am I the only one who prefers drug store makeup to high-end?
me too!! the only high end makeup I prefer is moisturizer but other than that I do not see the point in paying highly for something that the drugstore can do better and cheaper.
i have trouble finding reallyy good drugstore makeup, any recommendations?
me
+shimmeringbeauty11 the nearest beauty supply store there cheap
+shimmeringbeauty11 glamlifeguru/ Tati does both high end and drugstore recommendations on her channel and she is pretty thorough
"All these foundations are pink... I am not pink."
Uh... Yes, you are.
YES! I was literally thinking the exact same thing! These girls were acting like they were amazing beauty gurus when none of them seemed to be educated in types of makeup and how to DO makeup😂
I know right. She way pinker then the foundation she was holding up.
Right? Lol Like do these ladies even know what you're talking about? 😭😭 this video low key drove me crazy lol
Theyre*
Ummmmm? Yes girl. You are. And she's the one wearing less make up than all of them!
all my makeup is literally bought from drugstores

Tara thanks :)

Its not the makeup, its the artist.
Jessie Ray 100%.
These chicks can't do makeup at all.
Sooo I'm brown and your saying if a use yellow foundation it will work
I agree but It’s also the skin type of you have oily eyelids and an oily product it will most likely transfer dry skin and matte foundation also probably won’t work either
👏
80% of my makeup is drugstore and works out fine lol what...
Same
Yea, I feel like I only need high end for certain things.
exactly
Mine is more like 100%
they picked out makeup that is widely known as bad drugstore makeup... lol. this video sucks

Why do people treat drugstore makeup like it's so bad😑😐. I'm baffled because sometimes I find drugstore makeup too expensive.😁
me too
Me too :
lol same
I can't fathom spending that much on makeup.
Bahahaa. Our country has only drugstore makeup. No sephora, no high end makeup.
Emppos What country cause kinda same but I live in New Zealand
im from australia and theres a sephora 20 mins away from my house but im so broke and makeup here is so expensive
Emppos the only high end store in my country is Mac
b n, Sephora is about an hour away from my house, and I’ve never been there. I live in Australia.
To bad there’s no sephora here in japan.
I only buy high end primer and foundation. The rest is drugstore
Spongebob Squarepants you don't need makeup your a sponge
Spongebob Squarepants i buy eyeshadow (sometimes) and foundation (also sometimes)
Catrice primer is cheap and great and so is maybelline fit me. Also, invest in high end eyeshadows
Spongebob Squarepants last time is checked, you were a sponge
hi m8
christine: "i didnt realize foundationd were pink and i am not pink" what? you're so pink you're red
lol
Pink =/= red. Her skin is red because it's irritated and possibly rosacea. She's very green/yellow undertoned. Look at her chest and arms, not her sensitive cheeks.
Well she should know because her skin has a pink undertone. High end foundations don't have much pink undertones in my experience. Usually the pale ones are yellow based.
so ignorant
Bethany Francia that's because the yellow ones are typically more desirable. but yes that's true.
I have holy grails from the drugstore and flops from Sephora; everything is relative. Spending more on a product gives some people this placebo effect where they think it's better when it's actually the same ingredients as the cheaper versions.
My recommendations: Revlon Colorstay foundation, Milani baked blushes, Maybelline Moisture Matte lipsticks, NYC liquid eyeliners, L'Oreal waterproof mascaras, and so on
elf baked shadows are awesome to !
and this is not makeup but elf brushes work well and most of the time about a dollar or two each
Milani is BOMB, son
the milani liquid lipstick is excellent from what I hear, can anyone confirm?
Elf cream eyeliner is legit magic. Wet n' Wild lipsticks are pretty great for being $1 each. Milani lipsticks are amazing. Drugstores are great.
I get all my makeup at target or Walmart. cover girl, wet n wild , elf. I can't see myself spending $50 on a eyeliner
Preach
Well they didn't use NYX which I personally think is the best drugstore brand. Also, not everyone can afford high end makeup. Like high end they're always bad and good products. Also did they get or use setting spray?
Except that one girl who bought it.
+Kelsey Wakeman yeah lol, I own a lot of NYX, and just started getting into high end! NYX is a very great brand for people who want nice products, and nice prices.
Nyx is definitely the best drug store brand!!! They have amazing things
Omg I love your profile pic!!
i luv nyx and it's great for sensitive skin
Why are some people salty that the girls can afford and prefer higher end makeup? Drugstore is great but sometimes you want something of a bit higher quality. No shame in that.
!!
Wet n wild setting spray/bronzer/highlighter/foundation, Milani lip-stick/liquid lip/blush, nyc liquid liner, Maybelline gel & pencil, covergirl mascara, nyx everything
It's fine to have high end products, but some drugstore makeup items are drop dead gorgeous.
Reading & watching reviews are the best way to get an idea of products you want to buy highend or drugstore
Milani lipsticks are amazing.
Wow! Thanks! I just got more useful info from reading your comment than I got from wasting my time watching this video ; )
I use a lot of those drug store items
you just named the drugstore makeup i love the most, like seriously, all of those products are top notch imo
In Germany it's very common to use drug store makeup :) I don't understand the fuss about it
zzziiizzz True. I'm German and I only use drugstore make up. I'm a bit shook about this xD
Yeah because there are no Sephoras (I'm from asustria and I also only use drugstore stuff)
It's also very common in the US. This video is not a realistic portrayal of most people's attitude toward drug store makeup in America.
German makeup is the besssttt
@@soph466 yes it is👏
I'm sorry, but I am not gonna spend so much money on makeup. I can't afford it. You can find good makeup for cheap, just gotta do research
They could of at least researched some good drugstore makeup...
Lulvere J
Agreeded.E.L.F and Wet n Wild is my life.
hopegirl518 Ashlynn they used wet n wild L'Oréal and maybelline
Maybe they should have used MAYBELLINE new york
Maybelline instant age rewind concealer is my ride or die concealer
Panic!atthephandom I know right it’s like they don’t even try
Is there really that much difference between drugstore and high end makeup though, because I only own drugstore stuff, and I think I can actually make it look pretty damn good! As long as you know what you're doing, drugstore stuff is fine.
Yeah. Especially for people who do t wear much make up and don't wanna waste 100 bucks on a lipstick that can be found with the same color in a drug store TBH
+Miss Bill Cipher
*dont
there are some big difference between them, but I think that the important part is to find products that works for your skin type. because some skins are really sensitive and does not go well with some kind of products, and sometimes the high end make up are better with those types of skin, not always, but most of the time... and the thing is, you should have key products, like a very good foundation and concealer, a good eye liner, if you're into it, and the rest is kind of whatever... but I think that the more you like make up, the more you want to try good products and sometimes it can be high end or drugstore... it's really up to you and what fits in your budget.
Couldn't have put it in better words
Right.i was thinking the same
yeah... for me drugstore makeup is actually expensive. they have no idea how lucky they are
Even drugstore makeup is sometimes too expensive for me
80$ is like half of my monthly paycheck and they're throwing away hundreds on what basically is some greasy colored dirt... I'm... feeling a lot of bad things rn >:@
I only use bloody drug store makeup screw 50 dollars for 1 thing !!!?
I'm pretty sure all the makeup I've owned in my life cost, collectively, less than 50 dollars lmao...
^ same
That's what I used to think until I bought something at Sephora and it was so damn good. I've slowly been creeping back there and I can't stop myself
This ^^^
Same
Thier cheap makeup is still way too expensive for me.
Same
I know right, I consider L'oreal and Maybelline to be very expensive.
Walmart/Target.I prefer NYX
I spend like 40$ on my whole make up.
+Saki Miyu Lame. Don't post stupid lies on the internet (you better catch that)
Lol drug store make up can look just as good if you know what you're doing!
Right?! They went into this little "test" already not liking drugstore makeup they almost forced it to be bad!
deidaraakun Like art, its the artist not the pencil.
I never used high-end make up
Nobody in my country use high-end make up
it’s important for makeup to be non-comedogenic and free of harsh chemicals, so while some drugstore products can be great, they can have serious affects on the skin. sometimes high end is better!
kristen got masterkajal which is specifically meant for the water line! it's too creamy to put on the upper lid
god at least do research if ur make a video
Kristen is pink though??
Hello Tina.
She meant undertones
I think she meant undertones and even if she didn't, I think she's saying that she'd like to look less pink.
She was red from heat or other things. I have yellow skin undertones but vam get extremely red ir 'pink"
T I N A
100% of my makeup is drugstore and i get compliments every day
Not to be mean or anything but I think they just don't know how to make it work for their skin xD they make it sound like drugstore make up is so bad
Same
Vina Casibang so true. they should have at least watched videos of beauty gurus recommending good drug store products or something
Wet n Wild shadows, Maybelline "paint pots" (Idk what its called) and their gel liners are the BOMB DIGGITY too! ++ Nyx eyebrow products and soft matte lip creams :B
+Vina Casibang nyx is a drugstore product??
Omg i feel so bad. Im not only buying drugstore makeup, but also the cheapest one v_v
you don't have to feel bad, if it works for you and you like how it looks keep wearing it :)
Don't feel bad, you shouldn't have to spend all your money on makeup
same:d
same ,but they are working fine for me ,no smudging ,no breakouts ,no greasing , they picked up the Bad stuff i guess ,and eyeliner should always be bought waterproof.. but it's buzzfeed and in every makeup Video there is, they showed that they are kinda too stupid to put on makeup ,idk.
I love makeup
I also love to not starve
I don't get how they spend so much money on makeup when they only wear eyeliner, lipstick and foundation??
multiple lip products, and contouring sets im guessing
primer, foundation, powder, setting spray, multiple eyeshadows, lipstick, lip liner, liquid lipsticks, lip gloss, eyeliner, eyelashes, mascara, blush, highlighter, bronzer, eyebrow pencil, eyebrow brush....should i continue?
***** i don't think the point of makeup for some people is to look like they cake it on? they want their skin to look naturally even and as flawless as possible...and we literally only see them in a snap of their lives and its ALWAYSS at work
***** I use the same makeup style for work but use different makeup for parties, and going out so maybe they're the same?
I don't get how y'all act like you know what makeup they wear every single day even tho you only see them in these videos.
Maybelline isn't that bad tbh
I barely have enough money for food.
ok but *ur name*
username... profile pic... you're SO GREAT
Geek Dragon its so beautiful
Memes Am I right I feel you
I'mAFancyWhale Quite true.
Anyone else have all their makeup from drugstores?
Yep. 😂
yeppp😂😂
🙋😶
Yup
Yeah 😝💁
Tbh even drugstore makeup can be expensive if you get the 'higher end' stuff
true, some l'oréal individual eyeshadows cost more than one MAC eyeshadow pan refill
SweetasSugar42 yep
Yeah it's really not that cheap. Revlon liquid lipsticks cost like 12-13 dollars here. I might as well spend the extra 7 bucks and get myself a mac lipstick.
SweetasSugar42 L'Oreal and Nyx are expensive yet sometimes reasonable but Sonia Kashuk on the other hand...
If I had all that money, I guarantee you only a small fraction of it would go towards makeup
Agreed. $300 is groceries, supplements, and gas for a month for me.
Same .. It's stupid to spend all your money on makeup😒
Did you mean: *wearing normal makeup for a week*
Drug store makeup is not bad at all you just gotta know how to use it and which is the best
what I use-
foundation: £7.99
Concealer: £5
powder: £3.99
eyeliner: £8
Mascara: got as a freebie when ordering online
lip balm: £2.50
I use chapstick and that's it I have no skin problems and I'm a teen lol
drugstore makeup is actually really good if u pick the right things.
yeah. i have tones of high end and drugstore makeup, and i actually like a lot of my drugstore makeup better.
God, if only saf knew she going to buy every single lipstick at Sephora.... lol
If you're reading this you're beautiful and have a nice day! :)
end my life pls
thanks
allow me the strength to finally kill myself once and for all and if I can't then please end my life for me
I just woke up at 5pm..To late.
dont u dare lie to me
no shade but for someone that complains about the quality of drugstore makeup, Kristen NEVER wears her lipstick in the lines/evenly. seriously look at any of the videos she's in, her lipstick is a mess.
Well all of their skin started to break out and Kristen had it the worst
This video honestly makes me cringe. If you watch reviews and maybe find makeup products that do what you wanna do, you still can look like $300. My makeup routine costs about $60 and the foundation I use covers ALL of my acne and my eyes still look glittery and pretty. It's all on the products you find. I don't think going to a drugstore and picking out what you think "seems good" will make you look how you want. This video was disappointing because they don't even look good with the high end makeup. #sorrynotsorry
What foundation do you use? Lol I need to know.
Milani Conceal and Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation
Yassss. There are so many articles and reviews comparing high-end makeup to drugstore makeup. If you do some research, you really don't have to spend that much money for quality makeup.
Agreed!!
Thank you! Almost all of my makeup is drugstore and it's amazing.
U gurls are lucky to have sephora or similar in your lives.. In here(uruguay) we dont. All my makeup is drugstore and im proud. Couse all famous brands are so expensive... Lile everythin in this country
I live in America and I can't afford sephora, I mean I probably could but I rather buy nicer things with my money
It's really just what your skin is used to
It's works great*

I just saw you somewhere else! Thank you
"im not pink", you sure?😂
It's kind of a slap in the face that Freddy actually refused to do this video. Like she doesn't want to stoop "low". And drugstore actually has a quite large selection, especially if you are more olive, warm, neutral, or cool/pink toned.
You can make any product work, it's all about application. This was such a close minded video.
+scarlette tapley although you don't know her reason for not being in it. It could just be that she had a lot of work or couldn't for some other reason.
+Caroline Nilsson but it's super obvious /: she was laughing the whole time, and on the featuring of the earlier video, all of her products were high end
i know, it was obvious freddie didn't even want to try drugstore makeup 😧
+vjeff seriously! :( like just give it a try, and I'll appreciate that!
Wait, these are cheap makeups for American people? All of these are quite expensive in my country! It's basically high-end makeup for us! What brands are considered premium for you guys? :o
there is drug store makeup - revlon, maybelline, etc
then mid shelf - two faced, the balm, clinique etc
then high end - marc jacobs, chanel, etc
+CosmicRiverstone but too faced pallets are like 50 dollars
+Cataleya Catharina I know but a lot of people do not consider them or urban decay to be high end. I used to thing so, too.
I agree with you. It applied for us Mauritians as well'
$ conversion isnt as accurate bcs of location and cost of living changes.
I don't own any high-end product and my makeup still looks bomb I don't get this video
Same! The only high end makeup I buy are eyeshadow pallets!
***** I don't know if it's high end but my most valuable makeup product is the mary lou-manizer
exactly they picked bogus products and clearly didn't read anything correctly, like that girl with the eyeliner
That and the price was over exaggerated who spends 60 dollars on 5 items?? I could restart my makeup collection for half of that..
it is expensive lorel and maybellin lip sticks alone aree 6 dollars
While I'm here cringing about spending more than $8 on mascara 😖
I love ladylike but this video kinda made it seem like if you buy drug store makeup, you're innately buying a not great product. I wish they had emphasized more that it is about finding what works for you and a lot of trial and error to find the right producta
Products
yeah i agree it kinda seemed snobby to me...
I agree totally! There are drugstore products that are literally made with the same exact ingredients and cost less because you're not paying for the famous brand. JUST DO YOUR RESEARCH, because there are high cost products that can such just as much. This video is just all complaining
👍
But if it takes you three tries to find a foundation you like you could have spent that money on a high end one no?
This just makes me upset. High end or low end makeup is going to have downsides, it just depends what works for your skin type.
totally agree... one time i buy a súper expensive foundation and break acné ... So is about how your skins reacts
+AyAReI00 Same, one time I tried out Burberry foundation and I got a rash on my face
For me I can't find any foundation at the drugstore because I'm super pale but they're all too pink for me
exactly you have to try different kinds, you can't just clump drugstore makeup into the same category and say they are all the same.
Honestly the only reason why I don't buy drug store makeup is because they do not have my shade #blackgirlproblems, I see why Freddie didn't want to join in 😂
Chantelle was a brat about it tho
drugstore makeup isn't even bad,you just need to find the right products for you
They got the crappiest drugstore stuff. You need to try a bunch of products to see what works for you.
and I spend way less on makeup, yet my makeup is waaaay ahead of these girls.. just saying.
wouldve been better if they actually looked up reviews and really did try to get GOOD products rather then just buying whatever cheap stuff they see lol.....
Crazy how has drugstore makeup evolved since then! Drugstore makeup brands have really really good quality that competes with a lot of high end brands.
