- The 24-hour convenience store 7-Eleven launched their own makeup line so I decided to get a full face of their products and wear them around for a whole day! I tried a foundation, concealer, eyebrow gel, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, fake lashes, blush, bronzer, highlighter, and setting powder. What did you guys think?

Thanks for actually trying to make it work. I feel like when makeup gurus try on dollar store or "affordable" makeup and one thing doesn't work then they give up on the entire look and don't even try. I'm a licensed makeup artist but when I was young I would buy cheap dollar makeup and I had girls at school asking if I was wearing MAC (MAC was the "shit" back in the day). Ladies, not everyone can afford high end makeup, I've been there, but let me tell you that all you really need is a good set of brushes and blend your little heart out. You can make any makeup look bomb.

it's really frustrating to watch people do these gorgeous make-up looks with their high-end brands and then they do a "drugstore challenge", using brand like Maybelline and NYX that are still way too expensive for most of us, and still they sit there, complaining about how bad it all is

I've never understood why places just kick you out for filming, especially if you aren't being loud or destructive. Why not just give you a polite warning, and give you the opportunity to finish up? That's always bothered me. You would think they wouldn't mind the publicity, and like I said, it's not like you and Tyler were breaking milk jugs on the ground, or filming an obnoxious skit.

i worked retail. it's mostly company policies, but in the case of privately owned stores, it's so you're not filming other people and employees. especially if you're filming and making other customers uncomfortable, it can hurt business and management always strives to make everyone happy. another thing is competition from other stores-copyrighted logos and product displays are different in most companies, and stores try to make it as hard as possible for their competitors to copy image designs and layout. if you ask beforehand, some places might allow you, but everyone should be respectful if there are 'no camera/filming' signs, and if they're asked to leave.

I have only been subscribed for about a week, but she is already becoming one of my favorite TH-camrs. She has such a great personality, and I love her videos! 😍
I love how Safiya explains things, her professional-ish mannerisms, and her sense of humor. I act in a rather similar way so it’s nice to see a TH-camr I can fully relate to (unlike the typical loud and obnoxious ones). I also like how she explains makeup stuff, as I am totally null in understanding that field. Her mannerisms make for engaging, never boring, and well crafted videos!! (Sorry it ended up sounding like a professor evaluation haha)
