I go commando most of the time - it's just more convenient. I had a stroke so I don't move as fast as I used to - I tell people that I have a small bladder and good kidneys lol. If I'm wearing jeans I'm wearing underwear other than that it depends on the skirt length and the weather - if it's windy and I'm wearing a dress I put on underwear.

Happened to me. Thankfully I had super fat thighs and could keep toilet paper stuffed up there without it falling. It was still possible, though. I walked like a penguin the whole entire time. I was wearing a pencil skirt btw.
maybe TMI but it usually happens sometime in the middle of the night for me and i find that going commando it's less likely to spill or get absorbed through my underwear and into my sheets and due to surface tension of the blood sticks on me for the most part until i go clean up in the bathroom kind of how you can fill a water cup past the top and the surface tension will hold it in

also, cleaning your vagina daily might help. and i don't mean with soaps or water. just a quarter size amount of coconut oil rubbed on the inner and outer parts, and then pat dry with a damp, well wrung towel or soft cloth. i find that helps me with sweat and odor issues, as well as avoiding bacterial infections after the gym if i need to wait to go home to shower.
I've found the same pretty much works for me as well xEmpty.Abyssx. Especially if I take a night shower, and just hop into my pj bottoms, then kick 'em off before I get in bed. The lil lady feels so refreshed the next day, and less discharge than I usually have, which is quite nice.

I feel like if you went commando and wore jeans they would get dirty so fast. Like I don't usually wash my jeans until after the 3rd or 4th day but if I went commando I'd have to wash them all the time. Like.. we don't reuse underwear so why would jeans or something be any different?

Commando Queen here. I believe it depends on the person & situation, as the doc had mentioned. For instance, commando was kinda awkward when I was obese, as my 'chemistry' going on down there was WAY different (due to weight or diet, I do not know). I'm healthy af now.... Zero discharge, little to no wetness. I don't really sweat much at all, either. Pretty much just go about as normal - I switch around 3-5 pairs of pants a few times before laundering (unless something is spilt, etc, special circumstances).

... And people don't reuse underwear because it DOES indeed trap more moisture. Holds it right up in there, along with anything that does some out. Most pants tend to breathe better in that regard.

I go commando almost 24/7 and it's actually really liberating. You don't have to worry about buying a bunch underwear or anything. I wear underwear on my period and that's basically it. I don't have much discharge and I don't sweat a whole lot. It's not for everyone, but I recommend trying it
