I’d love to see Creality just finally put all its eggs in a basket and just make one good printer. The amount of ender 3 variants is a meme at this point.
I got an email this morning about the new Ender-3 V2 model. ANOTHER e3 variant. That no one asked for.
They keep adding one-off proprietary features to each generation and never just building one good machine that has it all.
It clogs and confuses the market so much. I’m at the point myself where I won’t even review them anymore because it’s the same printer with a new bed or new extruder or new leveling system or a new frame or new touchscreen.
Just make one great machine and support it properly before jumping ship to the next cash-grab.

not sure if you were supposed to say about a 3d printer that hasn't been announced yet. it would be cool if they did one printer a year maybe one resin one fdm and have completely different designs then the other ones. Prusa have just 1 printer and there doing fine. releasing a new printer with a new bed isn't exactly game changing. spending time on designs is what makes you money.

    • @FranklyBuilt

@@brickguy exactly. Releasing what seems like 10 different models a year already is just insane. And they all have small or large problems. I like my Creality machines, don’t get me wrong, the older generation of them is my fav. My pro v2 and OG E3s are work horses. The newer generations are just getting slammed with features that are more headaches then they’re worth IMO.
If they made a CR-10s PRO V3 with like. A proper level-less system or something actually beneficial to the V2 I’d be all over
It. But nah. They’ll release an Ender-7, CR-10 Smart and 19 new Ender 3s lol

@Frankly Built, thank you so much for your comment, and we’ve passed your suggestions to our product manager, who has been fully occupied with making some really cool products in recent months.
We totally understand innovation has always been the top priority of Creality, but the journey is not easy and never ends.
We will appreciate it a lot if you can email us at brand@creality.com or simply drop us a line here to share your thoughts. The support from you guys is what pushes us this far.
Please stay tuned for future releases, and let’s make things better!

Your 100% right, I agree totally. I'm coming from another manufacturers product and was looking at the S1 Pro and S1 Plus .
Logic to me would suggest that the Pro would be the daddy and the plus a mere subtle addition to the standard S1 with a tiny upgrade (like an in-between), but for some reason the Plus has the bigger bed, and better head and the plus is more expensive. WTF?
Why can't they have a S1 which is the standard, the Plus which is a notch up from the standard version and a Pro which is the daddy, the best version of the range.
The PRO range should be the best of the range, it should have he best build volume, best CR-touch auto leveling, the best head, the best touch screen display, the best printer filament options and the best everything else. It's almost like creality are trying to reinvent the wheel by calling something pro, which has inferior parts to the plus version.
      KEEP IT SIMPLE CREALITY
This nonsense has made me pause on making a purchase, because the last thing I want to do is buy a pro version and then have to pay more out to try and make it the best it can be or regret not buying the plus version because it's got the biggest build volume, better head. And worst everything else.

We just bought an Ender 3 S1 Plus, it has a faulty SD card slot. The UK vendor and Creality are dragging their heals with replacement. Absolutely terrible support. So we haven't managed to print a thing and nobody is willing to replace it or supply a new main board.

I am looking to purchase my first 3d Printer. I'm leaning towards the S1 Plus for the larger print surface (plus it's also on a "Flash Sale" for about $80 off righ now). However, I don't know now if I will need the capability to print using the other materials that the S1 Pro provides. So my question is if I buy the S1 Plus, can I later purchase the same nozzle and whatever related parts are needed to upgrade the S1 Plus nozzle to the same or better as what the S1 Pro has?

      @thatonesnowboarde ปีที่แล้ว

For your first printer don't go directly to a larger build surface. I would go with the Pro version first... even printing above 250 will not be great on the S1 / Plus because I have heard the plastic lined extruder can put off chemicals that are not healthy.

not sure. That depends on where I decide to place it. I'm currently setting up a custom made multi-purpose mobile work bench using industrial wire shelving. Still need to cut some plywood to fit the main shelf. Also from mention of hazardous fumes, I may need to figure out something to do about ventilation since it's likely going to be used in my home office where I work daily. I may need limit my printing to nights and weekends until I figure that out.

It would be good if you could inform your viewers that this printer (the S1Pro) does not recognise folders on the SD card, I finally got Creality to admit today that this is correct. their reply is below:
If you put the folder in the memory card, the display will not recognize it, please do not put the folder into the memory card, and the print file should be placed in the root directory of the memory card.
If placed in a folder, it may be misrecognized (Their spelling not mine).
So there you have it, they screwed up the software, which is effectively a downgrade on this machine!
