    Even though I always experience horrible costumer service from the Glockstore I can't deny that Lenny has hand down the best ever tutorials for doing anything on a Glock, basically free armorer course if you watch a bunch of the videos, so thanks for that!

      Ordered a set of parts from the Glockstore, about a year ago. It came, as an empty package. I called, and disputed. They shipped again. Empty package again. Will never order from them again.

    Thanks for another great video Lenny. My thought - Have the machine shop put a depth ring (marker) around the channel liner tool so that the installer will know it's properly seated? That way, those who install get it right everytime. I could hear the difference in sound when you fully seated it. - Some folks are hard of hearing :-)

    Lenny, good job on the video. You should throw in a channel liner with each installation tool purchased.

    This the fastest way I was able to remove my Glock channel liner without damaging it... if you have a plastic/wood full size arrow in your possession (or borrow one, buy one) take the metal arrowhead off and then stick the arrow shaft into the liner and pull it out... this took me less than 5 seconds to do! Hope this helps!

    Lenny, What are your thoughts on using an oil impregnated bronze bushing for a channel liner? I understand the OEM is inexpensive but on the high end, I wouldn't think there would be much of a wear issue. BTW, great video's. I've had a GLOCK for years but have learned more from you in just a short time.

    Thinking of getting some cerakote done from a very reputable company but it really surprised me that they told me the way they pull the Chanel liner they can usually re use it. Makes a little weary because how would that be possible?

    Have the channel liners bought multiples because the 1st I tried folded on the lip when trying to seat it. This was with another channel liner tool. Bought a few more liners and the glockstore tool. That liner with the glockstore tool folded on the lip as well. I am starting to question if the channel itself is even milled wide enough to accept a channel liner.
    BTW this is a Wraith RMR Cut Slide - G19 Size from 80%
    Any help resolving this issue would be appreciated.

    I have a stuck liner, even with a tool it won't budge 😭 this slide has never been shot and I have reason to believe while I was building it it's either not in correctly or it's damaged. Thinking of maybe dropping some oil in it and give it another try tomorrow

    Good tool for gunsmiths and people who likes to service their Glock. Dirt can get in the Glock when out hunting fishing and camping. Or if you are in the military. If you are a mechanic so vapors from chemicals can damage the plastics of your firearms. But a clean environment the part should be fine. Just put your hand on top of your refrigerator or cabinets than throw in powder residue. I knew a man who raced cars he would change his oil before he started a race. Ask why and he said oil is cheaper than engines.

  • @ChristopherJones16
    @ChristopherJones16 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    what happens if you put the liner in backwards? I didnt realize there was a front and back to the liner.. I just know my liner slipped easily onto my plastic channel liner tool and the liner itself slipped easily into the hole.. I didnt even need to pound it in. I was able to push it in easily with my hands/tool. I probably got lucky and put the correct end of the channel liner facing down into the hole.. but just wondering what if I didnt? I guess the aftermarket slide I bought made the hole a bit larger so I didnt have to pound the liner in with a mallet.

    Just curious why wouldn’t they make The channel liner in stainless or aluminum wouldn’t that be better than plastic

    • @James_Edward59
      @James_Edward59 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s actually surprising how well those stronger plastics hold up to abuse especially when you take in extreme weather conditions going from hot to cold or cold to hot and then the vibration from the slide racking and all that other stuff, metal might crack easier than plastic in the same way a polymer frame will last longer than a 1911 frame unless it’s a really high end 1911.

    • @zroberts02
      @zroberts02 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's to reduce friction and wear on the firing pin spring. Metal on metal contact will wear the spring a lot faster than metal on plastic.

  • @James_Edward59
    @James_Edward59 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Technically there are 26 internal parts because you also have the slide cover plate that is an external part.

    • @gp8721
      @gp8721 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      One side of it is exposed, so by your logic, extractor would be an external part too. Which is fine by me

  • @Trumplican
    @Trumplican 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    the liner is there because without it the cups wont stay put they squish past the edge on the firing pin.

      K. Moore Semper Fi You are extremely unprofessional if this is how you handle your business. When I have a issue I contact the company directly through phone or email, I don't make a mockery on a video unrelated to my order... you look foolish making comments on a video that no one will respond too... Lenny has proven time and time again.. he READS emails!

      Rob yes extremely unprofessional. Riiight.... well I have contacted GlockStore MANY MANY MANY TIMES and for the last oh 4 months i get promised it will be out and shipping in two weeks. I am not being unprofessional by asking for a current update from Leny not from his employees that keeps promising product shipment and then never ships. I have spent over $1000. On parts for building the SS80. Obviously calling and emails don’t work on looking for an honest update from the owner of a product and company that is making empty promises. As for professionalism. I am a disabled United States Marine Veteran. I have given ALOT for my country and the people in it. So I don’t need you chiming in with your opinion. When I am trying to get a response from a company about an issue that many people are having an issue with.
