    Someone will always find something to argue about Dante. You’re getting the word out there and for some peoples Information… some can NOT exercise because of injury or illness and need to try healing first. Carnivore helped my unbearable spinal injury pain enough that I was able to get out of bed. I couldn’t even get a shower without a LOT of pain and tears. Inflammation is so much better now. Spine is still compromised greatly but It isn’t so bad I want to die anymore.

    Hey Dante, good afternoon! Couple things; yeah people I know say I lost weight b/c I exercise. I tell them quick no I got healthy and lost weight thru carnivore first THEN started exercising. Which for me is walking and body weight strength training.
    The gentlemen, that thought “frying” foods are bad and you said b/c of the seed oils they’re fried in. That’s true and usually fried for most people means covered in flour too.

    Dante,
    Here is my experience. I have been on this journey for 14 years, slowly eliminating all the foods I was eating. I only eat ribeye steaks now, but have been a carnivore for over 6 years. So I started with all the processed foods & everything white (grains etc) which went straight away & my weight fell off 5 stones in 5 months. I also started cycling & I have catalogied every time I have been on my bike plus at times I have kept detailed food diaries over all these years (I am about to hit 50,000 miles). A few years ago the veg & fruit went which wasn't a lot, but for a long time my weight would go up & down & sometimes my BP would climb which confused me as I was & stiil am very fit for my age (65). The guy who trolled you about the lion diet is not necessarily incorrect but what I have found & I have the records to prove it & now the body as well, is that there was a significant change in my body composition & my bike performance is way better (& it was good before!). The Irony is that I do considerable less exercise than before & can have long periods of inactivity (The winter time), yet my body & strength & speed have all improved & all return within a couple of rides after my layoffs. And my weight dropped 3 kgs when I ditched the eggs 12 months ago. I am now the same weight as my age i.e. 65KG (10st) & 5 feet 9 (21.5 BMI), and it stays steady, it barely moves. The problem is & Dr Chaffee alludes to it, is that we have false sense of what we are truly capable of, because we have been & most still are operating sub-sub-optimally. I am not sure anyone knows what true optimun looks like but rest assured it is way higher than any scientist or health 'expert' could imagine. So your troll while partly correct is deluding himself & simply settled for a low bar on the chart because it probably was a significant change from what he had. I thought I was close to reaching a plateau but was I wrong! It also tells you how low our health agencies 'normal' person ideal really must be.
    You have a good channel & have a great outlook on life. Take care & love to you & your family
    Alastair

    I started Keto a couple of months ago, I am almost doing carnivore. I had arthritis in my shoulders to the extent that I could not do a lot of things, climb trees during hunting season, for example. Hello,
    I watched your carnivore journey and it inspired myself. I'm 49 385 pounds and well food is my drug of choice! So my questions are: is store brand hamburger meat good to buy? Ie kroger, food city ect. Like 80/20? Also you mentioned a cheap way to get your electrolytes in water. And use big chunks of salt in your water. Here I'm confused, in that what salts can so use in my water to keep up my electrolytes? I have hemylian pink salt ATM and I've heard to use no salt for added potassium? Thank you so much for your videos! You are truly an inspiration!

    • @jamespooley6626
      @jamespooley6626 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly, whatever you can afford that is unprocessed with no added ingredients will work. Obviously there are some things that are better than others, but don't let what you can afford hold you back. I eat store bought ground beef 90% of the time. I can't afford steaks, especially ribeyes. I also used a lot of pink salt. As long as your salt only has 1 ingredient: salt, then use it. I have been eating basically store bought ground beef and my own chicken eggs for most of my journey and I lost over 100 lbs in the first 6 months or so. My blood pressure is down to the point that I'm off my medications. In fact, I'm off all 6 of my medications and no longer use a CPAP at night. I have eaten grass fed beef straight from a butcher maybe once or twice. The rest of the time I ate just standard beef. The only more expensive item I buy is Kerrygold butter. Give it a shot, it will change your life.
      One tip: when your are starting out, eat every time you are hungry and use lots of salt. Get some potassium and magnesium supplements such as the ones from relyte and LMNT without flavor. You won't need it forever but it does help you feel better in the beginning. I eat sardines sometimes to get some iodine which also helps.

    I love your comments and agree with you on so many things! I just hit my 1st anniversary on Carnivore. In the first 8 months, I lost 40 pounds and exercised. However, after that, I changed my schedule, and I am working much more, about 12 hours a day, which is all desk work. I could not have mentally done that without the benefits of Carnivore and the added mental focus. Interestingly, with the decrease in physical activity, the scale is not budging, and I am staying at 170 pounds, but I am noticing more fat on my body. I don't mind because I plan on adding in more physical activity when I change jobs in the near future. FYI- I can't wait because I want to start RUCKING! I already got my vest.

    Hi Dante! As a new member I enjoy your videos! I'm curious on your burger how do you cook it to keep as much fat as you can? (I use 83/27 ground beef also) My gall bladder was removed in 2000. Having IBS there were times I'd go 3x or more a day. It's different not going everyday when I did for the past 35 years. Sugar is definitely an addiction for me that I struggle with. I decided to try a carnivore diet after my treatments for prostate cancer. I feel better and down 30 pounds,

      Air frying a 1 lbs burger for 15 minutes at 380°F, only opening the air fryer and removing after 1-2 minutes seems to work great or cooking to med or med well in chef mode on the ChefMaker works great. I lose a little fat and moisture, but they still come out super juicy.

      On Lion Diet, I generally don’t eat out because it’s like pulling teeth to get people to understand what I even need them to avoid without going into the kitchen and watching them. They don’t even know what not to do that might seem in incidental but is actually crucial like not using spray oil on the grill, or a salt and pepper mixture, or butter (that probably isn’t butter), etc.

      IF you’re doing the Lion Diet for gut issues like leaky gut or any of the autoimmune related disorders olive oil is the kind of thing you should try to reintroduce after at least six weeks of only ruminant meat water and salt. Then you can see if it has a negative impact on your progress.

Whenever i eat meat now, no matter the kind, I get back pain in my mid-right side. I've had to go Vegan basically to get rid of the pain because that's the only thing that helps is not eating meat. I know i'm not getting enough protein anymore and my body is turning into a flubber. Dr's don't know what's going on either. It seems like a muscular issue that's triggered with animal protein. Any experience with this? I'd really like to eat meat again but I'm scared because I know the pain get's pretty bad. I've tried physical therapy, yoga, etc. and nothing helps.
