    I reversed my type two diabetes completely and pre diabetes went from 6.6 A1C to 5.4. Lost over 60lbs. No medication just carnivore. You cannot argue results 😎👍❤️

      @@mrmaxcarter2306 you need to do some actual research. The plant based diet is what caused my type two and weight gain. Plants have many chemicals that can cause toxic digestive problems. When digested all become sugar. The idea is to reduce or eliminate carbs. When you study the cholesterol myth you’ll find Triglycerides are the culprit.

      If the right numbers are high, it's not bad. If the wrong numbers are high, you're eating the wrong food.

      no one is denying that.. she started out by saying it can cure auto immune disease. But thats not because the meat is healing you, its likely any restricted diet that cuts out food intolerances or sugar will help a diabetic or someone with autoimmune disease. The fact is, eating meat for years can be terrible for you long term, there are mixed results in the studies showing this in peoples blood work. We will know more in about 10 years with all the data and we can say for sure that someone eating meat for 10 years, what does their bloodwork look like etc.

      Yes, true but they’ll need longer longitudinal studies. They’re are known none like this. Jordan Peterson said that there are studies associating Vitamin C with carb metabolism seems to much like cherry picking results.

    I had grade 4 brain cancer in my spinal cord that had spread from my thoracic spinal cord to my neck and down to the nerves of my tailbone. I was given a few months to live but I never gave up. I fasted along with a low carb diet, chemo and radiation and it completely worked.

    As for my experience, I have been on Carnivore since March 6th, 2023. As of today (12/14/2023) I have lost 80 pounds. I have come off about 80% of my injectable insulin and oral diabetes meds. My A1C with all the insulin and oral meds was between 7.5 and 8.5. After being on Carnivore for about 3 months my A1C was down to 6.0 with the reductions in meds I mentions previously. In addition to this diabetes benefit, I am enjoying a life with much less muscle and joint pain, lots more energy, clearer thinking and improved memory. I am not a doctor and I know this is a test of 1 (myself) but I can say that eating the recommended (food pyramid) diet that every one of my doctors and all the dietitians I have seen over the years told me would make me healthy, does not work for me. It is also strikes me as odd when I hear doctors say there are no studies about the Carnivore diet and yet no one seems to wants to do the studies.

      thank you for this informative personal statement. this so called pyramid, for the most, or all is truthful. In think it is related mainly to certain Tribes of people. some have been built to tolerate certain foods they have adapted to from over thousands of years. It is not all fits everyone.

      Great story and happy for your success. Ive been mostly carnivore for 3mo and I feel great. I sometimes eat low carb/sugar vegges but rare. Most of my family think Im crazy but Im listening to what my body wants. Meat, salt, and water. No coffee either because it takes salt out. The way I see it, most doctors who only rely on their formal training are spreading alot of misinformation. They mite have good intentions but its up to you to take control of your health. People have been eating animals for a long time and its not until recently that masses of people have started getting sick on diets pushed on us by the food industry and their puppets (ie doctors, politicians, organizations).

    I got diagnosed with an "inoperable brain tumor," that causes seizures. The first set were during my sleep, and was so bad i broke my spine in 6 places, shoulder in 2. I've tried a lot, 180+ days of taking RSO(120 were 1g/day). I've tried to stay positive and happy, I've tried a lot. Nothing has helped yet. Tomorrow will be my 1st real day of carnivore diet. Hopefully it helps. Thanks

    I bought a grass fed cow and ran across this carnivore diet through Jordan Peterson. I figured I got all this meat that I should try it. I honestly have never felt better. My energy levels are amazing. My psoriasis have cleared up. My body feels absolutely amazing! But the one thing I have noticed the most are my moods. It’s very strange and it’s hard for me to even comprehend but after the 2nd weeks of being in this diet I noticed it. I wasn’t waking up being bombarded with negative thoughts and negative self talk. My anxiety levels are few and far between and the depression has 💯 lifted. I don’t know why but it has. It’s very strange to feel this good.

      @@androidaccount7743 not really. You're not needing to eat a ton of meat a day. My dad is 73 and is in INCREDIBLE shape. He looks younger than I do. He eats a couple eggs in the morning and a 16 oz rib eye at night. Way cheaper than the usual diet per day.

      Right??? I mean, it IS super restrictive but it's also the EASIEST to stick to since setiaty is so good. I used to do paleo and had a hard time sticking to it because IT was so restrictive and I still craved carbs and sugar. On carnivore I rarely if ever crave things I shouldn't. One steak will keep me satisfied for about 12 hours and I can go about my day without really thinking about food much. Sometimes I need to be reminded that I still need to cook dinner for the family because I'm just not thinking about food anymore. LOL

      BornKingGamer there is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate. The body is very adaptable to diet changes. When carbs are eliminated, your body will create ketones from dietary fat and will use that as energy in lieu of carbs.

    My daughter and I have been carnivore since January 3, 2023. It’s amazing how much better we feel and the weight loss is great. I have been on every diet imaginable for my entire life. Mom was always on weight watchers and that’s how we all ate. I was heavier than I should have been even with it. To lose weight as a teenager, I would starve myself. Btw, after 3 day the hunger went away(I should never have known that) Carnivore has been wonderful, I can eat till I am full, never experience hunger pains and not restrictive, just easy. My daughter’s health issues have improved dramatically and she feels so much better. I did have a slip up and gained 10 pounds in 3 days. I was so inflamed and felt so bad, as well as losing the weight again , I don’t want to mess up again.

    I'm one of those Multiple Sclerosis that she refers to and eating a ketovore diet which includes fasting. Not only I always always feel energetic, but also in shape and recovered my short term memory, movement and completely erased the mental fog.
    I am my data, and my neurologist even changed my medication for a less strong version.

      @Vegas Gal in your answer hides a question. How come when we try these diets, and they fix issues, and they work for a long time, do experts feel the need to say “yeah but”?
      Am I simple to think that if a diet is fixing diseases and giving people their lives back, that that is possibly evidence it is good for you? Like, should I feel like shit but be fine with it because the “science” says it’s good for me? How exactly is it good for me? Because lab grown mice had reactions to being bombarded with tons of chemicals. I’m originally from Iceland, the land NOTHING grows on. For a 1,000 years we lived on fatty meats that were buried in salt for preservation. Only in the last 50 years did oncology even become a thing there.
      They want you to not believe your eyes and your body in the name of science....sort of like this COVID thing huh.
      I’d also be interested now seeing the numbers on immune strength. I’ve been very low carb for years, in ketosis, and while my family catches every virus available, I NEVER. I also changed nothing about my life during this “pandemic” while my wife worked in the covid ward. Nothing, nada...

      Mostly it's because a lot of this information is being thrown at him, unrefined and not very well explained as it's outside of his depth of field. It's difficult to really comment and interject when it's not something you are familiar with. Literally, the first 10 minutes after the first questions just seemed, to me at least, a lot of information I truly don't understand.

    2 weeks since I started carnivore and my nasal polyps are shrinking allowing me to breath through my nose for the first time in 12 years. My energy is up, mental aptitude is through the roof. I did cheat one day about 5 days ago and ate Jimmy Johns sandwich. Woke up regretting it, felt like I was sick and inflamed. Had an asthma attack and even puked. Learned my lesson, so far so good.

    There is actually quite a bit of data if you study groups like the traditional Inuit culture. Their diet was mainly carnivore (animal meat and fat), and they did this for many, many generations.

    I met a lady in my small town who has been mainly carnivorous for over 20 years she was in her 80s and buying a ton of meat..
    I asked her about it and she told me she’s been eating this way since the 70s ( dr Atkins )
    And she never felt better . Hadn’t been to a doc since she started …
    That’s huge.

      That's really good to hear! I've started yesterday. However, there are people who smoked their entire lives, did drugs and ate everything they wanted who are/were healthy in their 80's. Your body, and whether you'll be a healthy 80 year old depends on many other factors, if you go carnivorous for 10 years you can still die of a heart attack. Your diet is just one piece of the puzzle. And often times what you need to put into your mouth to feed your body can depend on how you've been living your life. But there are things that are generally a safe bet, which the carnivore diet is

    I went carnivore in September 2023. I have no health issues. I tried the diet through curiosity. It's a really good diet. I never feel bloated, I sleep better than ever, my mind is clear and focused, and I still have plenty of strength and energy for my training. It's a really good diet.

    1:05 I'll explain exactly why I tried it. I was sitting in my living room, trying to take my mind off of my terminally ill body. I'd been given about two years to live six months prior. My best friend had just left that morning after coming to say goodbye. I was really done fighting, but I wasn't allowed to quit. My son had just died a year prior and I didn't want my daughter and husband to have to lose me so soon after.
    I saw a JRE clip with Jordan Peterson talking about his family's experience with an all meat diet. It was short. Only about eight minutes. I wasn't impressed at all, but then it occurred to me that I'd promised my family that I'd try everything. Welp, this was something I'd never tried before. I'd been on many medically supervised elimination diets and none of them did jack, but none of them were as extreme as this one. I mentally shrugged and decided to add this to the list so they couldn't be mad at me for giving up. I had no hope, zero 'faith,' no belief that this would do anything. I did no research. I wasn't concerned about possible health consequences. I was already dead.
    A week later I knew I was on to something. Before, my body was shutting down, but now I was able to eat. I was eating more than I'd been able to eat in years. The diarrhea was getting better and I wasn't crapping out recognizable food with a pool of blood an hour after I consumed it. The lights were popping on in my head. The pain wasn't gone, but it was significantly better.
    I decided that I'd ride this train as far as it took me.
    This diet isn't perfect and there are things it hasn't been able to fix, but it's the closest thing to a miracle that I've experienced in my life. Right now I'm almost three years past my expiration date and the only way I'm dying any time soon is if I get hit by a bus.
    So this lady can get off her fainting couch and wave away the vapors that the idea of carnivore gives her. I'm fine. I don't expect her to eat this way, and I honestly do not care about her opinion of this diet at all. She's never tried it and so she has zero idea what she's talking about. From my experience, carnivore sure as hell beats the alternative.

      A diet worked for you doesn't mean that you disregard other diets that also brought very positive changes in other people's lives also. YOU ARE UNIQUE AND THIS DIET WORKED FOR YOU. Other diets are also good. You do your thing but respect animals. Keep water for birds, instead of throwing away leftover food give it to animals.

      Yeah if they had refractory IBS responsive only to FODMAP-restriction or a totally disabling food allergy, going carnivore is life changing. Otherwise it literally shortens your life and screws your sports performance.

    This is me…very rare autoimmune disease ruined my life for the last 8 years. Steroids required to fight the disease caused huge weight gain. I did strict carnivore for three months and dropped 40 lbs then added broccoli, avocado, few other veggies. The most important thing is the elimination of sugar, bread and I already had given up alcohol.

    On Carnivore for about 2 months. Gut is healed. Zero heart burn, 17lbs down and lean. Still strong and I don't have DOMS after workouts. Did it to jump on an onset of Rheumatoid arthritis..

If you do end up switching to carnivore the most important thing is maintaining stomach acid as stomach acid is the main component to digest protein. The same as how bile digests fat.
      The amount of people on a regular dumb diet with heart burn is why I mention that fact becsuse if you go onto carnivore diet and you are taking medicines to reduce stomach acid then you are preventing alot of protein from bring absorbed.
      But no protein does not affect your kidneys. We humans have evolved to eat meat and meat alone. We were never starving we were expert hunters the absolure apex predators. We hunted many many MANY animals to utter extinction.
      We were never starved and we never looked for plants to eat (because the vegetables we know today did not exist even a thousand years ago). We were also in an ice age only a few thousand years ago so barely anything grew anyway.
      So once again no protein is not bad for your kidneys and is infact needed. You need amino acids (broken down protein) to literally survive and repair. That is also ONE OF THE REASONS why many people get better skin and better immune system etc etc

      @@clemensh6214 you have been on it for 2 single days. My weekend is 2 days and that goes by like a flash and back in work Monday. 2 days is nothing.
      You are most likely having rebound acid from taking antacids. Do not take anymore.
      If you really do require an antacid say before bed I would take an acid neutraliser tablet and not an acid blocker like lansoprazole etc but only if absolutely necessary. If you have it in the day time then there's not really much other than drink more water to dilute the stomach acid.

    There was a boxer in the 50s and 60s named Archie Moore. He fought in several weight classes. When he needed to train and loose weight. He ate steak and sauerkraut. He was a very successful athlete. I think he was on to something.🙏🏼

    I did Atkins about 20 years ago - before they offered low carb meal replacements - so I was eating all fresh food every day. Eggs, bacon, sausage, butter, red meat and lots of veggies. I lost 50 lbs in 3 months and felt great. I had numerous other benefits such as less sweating, my skin cleared up, slept better and less and of course lots of energy. I didn’t get tired in the middle of the day or after I ate. I had my blood work done after the 3 months and the doctor said “your numbers are perfect keep doing what you’re doing. I’ve struggled to stay with it over the years because it is so restrictive but I have always been a believer in high protein for me.

      @@BigstickNick Not really. It was a diet a bit like Keto. You had a minimal number of carbs you could eat per day (20-50 grams) and you could eat protein foods freely like meat and eggs and cheese. In addition you could eat a lot of low carb no carb veggies so plants could be part of that diet. I lost 22lbs years ago on it and it was my go to when I needed to lose a few pounds. Carnivore is more restrictive but for me I need the healing more than the weight loss so I'm hoping Carnivore will help with the pain I have from arthritis and help me to be more active and pain free.

    Hello everyone! I've been on the carnivore diet for 4 years now. I followed Michaela Peterson on her journey and adjusted my diet similarly. I now exclusively eat lamb seasoned only with salt. Different cuts of the Lamb allow for different flavor profiles. I consume a gallon of water with two liquid IV packets in it. For supplements I use athletic greens and a men's daily multivitamin.... I did this to aid in recovery from a stroke I had from a bad diet. My neurologist says it's virtually impossible to detect that I ever had one. He calls it a miracle. I currently have 8% body fat. My blood results that I do every 3 months come back identical perfectly healthy. I recently just completed a ultra marathon of 110 miles.... Don't know what else to say but this works.

    Carnivore diet has been amazing for me. IBS, Acid reflux, midday fatigue gone. 20lb weight loss and 5% body fat in 45 days so far. I eat pretty much the same thing every day and cant wait for my delicious Ribeye every night. I can also now start testing what foods I react to and add back the ones that don't. But I'm done with carbs and sugar in my day to day eating, that stuff is very special occasions only now.

    I have been carnivore now for over four months and I will never go back.
    Before I started I already had a nursing degree. So I understood some principles of what I was doing.
    And I kept hearing about how dangerous it is to have this diet. And I kept on hearing about how bad it would be and I would be constipated and all this negative stuff.
    However, I knew that there were literally groups of people and parts of the world that cannot have any access to fruits and vegetables. And yet they live normal healthy lives. I've had a friend who literally all his grown up years. Never ate vegetables and he's healthy.
    My weight is going down, My energy is up, And I no longer have constipation issues and I don't even fart like I used to all the time. I believe that there's a hidden agenda when you google this stuff and They treat us carnivores as if we're killing ourselves.

      @@mrmaxcarter2306 Inuit peoples living near the north pole. Nothing really grows there and if they eat their traditional diet it is mostly meat and blubber. Mostly eaten raw. Some desert tribes like the Masai in Africa eat from their animals. Blood, milk and meat is what they eat. Unfortunately many of these native peoples have gotten access to western sugar foods and fast food so some of them are sicker now.

    As a football player, I have always thought that you need high carb with a high protein diet. I have started Keto with high protein and have maintained my strength but lost a lot of fat. I have a whoop and my resting heart rate was averaging around 55 bpm but now it is around 45 per minute since I have adopted a keto/ carnivore/ high protein, low carb diet. I feel better and I have more focus now. Thanks to Jordan Peterson

    I stopped all refined sugars cold-turkey and keep my carb intake almost down to zero (almonds, cashews, walnuts, etc).
    I eat all types of meat and cruciferous vegetables.
    That combination seems to be working really well for me.
    I think the most important thing is taking out all the refined sugary crap out and all the empty carbohydrates.

    I have done every diet out there over the course of 43 years. I love vegetables and I grow and harvest my own - not store bought. The sickest I have ever felt was when I went vegan for two weeks and the best I have ever felt was when I went carnivore one week after my 43rd birthday. I started because I was having massive and all day long gas and bloating - like I couldn't be out in public kind of gas. I work out twice a day and drink about a gallon of water a day - nothing, and I mean nothing could change these conditions. I was not about to be put on some side effects may include medicine in my early 40's so I went online to self diagnose and found fiber to be my main problem. I was eating only meat and vegetables at this time, keeping a low carb profile and tracking my calories - turns out I was eating 100's of grams of fiber per day. I slowly backed off of fiber but was still having issues. I googled no fiber recipes and found carnivore. I researched this way of eating before diving into it. Honestly, it's the BEST 'diet'. I've been a carnivore for about 5 months now and found a plethora of other issues that went away - I had no itchy spots on my body (like insane itchy spots), no more joint and body pain, I sleep like a baby - all night without interruption, and the gas and bloat are gone. The way I'm built (6'0" as a woman), my body looks better with weight lifting than it does just being skinny. I've actually gained 5 lbs. but I've lost a ton of inches. My roseca is minimal and I have less dry skin. A quick google search will reveal that the human body cannot process fiber - so why are we eating so much fiber?

      After researching the gut micro biome, I over dosed on eating fibre and ended up with SIBO (bacterial infection of the small intestine). Now on carnivore for a year finally clearing that up. I came to the conclusion that we don’t actually need fibre

      The thought process is the fiber latches on to stuff in the gut and cleans you out, but correct our bodies do not process it all.
      It’s damn near completely lost on mankind now that our ancestors were damn near carnivores once fire and cooking came along. Cooked meat is WAY easier for our bodies to process and is packed with nutrients, and in doing so early humans got smaller stomachs and bigger brains.

    I'm going to tell you guys right now. The best diet is the one that best fits your genetics. I'm asian, and I've had grandparents that have lived to be 96 and 92. All they ate was leafy greens, and fresh local fish. They have had tea for as long as I could remember. I cut out bread, gluten, and processed meats. I cut out sodas, sugars, baked goods, and a good portion of diary. Our gut biome is taxed to heavily and this causes our bodies to inefficiently absorb nutrients. The reason why the carnivore diet works so well is because the chemical and nutritional make-up of meat is much simpler. It can be broken down into many amino acids, proteins, fats that can absorbed much quicker. Yes, I do believe it works, but I think a specialized diet of vegetables is also needed.
    Stay safe and eat well everyone. And please, no more McDonalds.

      Asian you say? Diabetes has risen 30% in China in the last 30 years as the Asian diet mimicks the western diet with fried foods and tons of sugar. When I went to Japan it was odd to even see a person overweight. I believe the traditional Japanese diet is arguably one of the best and the way they treat mealtimes is far beyond how us fat fucking fast food pigs in the west do it.

    I was totally unaware of the carnivore diet until I listened to Jordon Peterson a month ago. I have an autoimmune disease and what I have learned is that the doctors had no idea how to treat me. In fact, it took over 24 years until I found a doctor who diagnosed my illness. My position is this: If the carnivore diet works for you, then do it. I have not tried the carnivore diet yet but I am contemplating trying it.

      To smith off the transition, drink electrolytes with 2 liter of water 1 tbs NaCl, 1 tbs bicarbonate, 2 tbs KCl. Drink to your water fast. I drink 1-2 liters everyday for my omad carnivore. 400 mg Magnesium is good or a little liver. Dry thin strips of calf liver to eat and you bill get everything you need.

      Dr. Cywes has the most comprehensive info about the carnivore diet and how to transition to it. If you watch his early video's especially which are the foundation 1-10 or 1-20 that will give you the understanding you need. People have various issues durring the transition period from none to severe, some of it can be mitigates but you SHOULD NOT jump right in without educating yourself. Dr. Berry is a good resource too. Most of my medical problems which have made my live miserable improved on keto but them improved to another level on carnivore. Triglycerides went from 290 to 117, reduced aches and pain, dry mouth reversed, better sleep, 20 lb weight loss in 2 months I could go on. It is truly miraculous. Doctors couldn't help me with any of these problems.

    The carnivore diet is so freeing. I’m 26 and have spent the better part of a decade bodybuilding and slamming carbs. Oatmeal every day, rice with every meal, fruit with every snack. And lots of milk.
    I switched to carnivore within the last month and within a week I’m in the best shape of my life. The IBS and bloat and distended lower abdomen just disappear. I intermittent fast and just have a little acv and coffee, and then I make a fat and protein feast and then I’m satisfied all day but I don’t feel bogged down and gross.
    I never would have believed it until trying it.

Since this post I’ve been reintroducing certain fruits and veggies bc I do believe in having balance for the sake of the gut biome and micronutrients, and I don’t think long term strict carnivore is the best for me personally (I haven’t had my gallbladder for years so this might affect me differently than others).
      Since bringing fruits back into my diet though I have been holding onto more fat, but I think that’s fine when looking at the other benefits and I’m not keen on being super lean

      Dairy, even in tiny amounts was the issue causing clogged sinuses for me. Once I eliminated it completely, no issues. Dairy crops up absolutely everywhere, which shocked me when I started looking at the back of packages. Eggs also another big one. Outside of that, common offenders for autoimmunity / inflammation tend to be soy and gluten.

And it's also important to remember that most people also MOVED (migrated more like it) to where there was the nutrition they needed. You're not supposed to go outside right now and start eating what's around you or wait for evolution to adapt your bloodline. You might not live locally where you should for local and seasonal nutrition. So, Local has to be thought of in that way, if we're rewinding the tapes of mankind's history to when we ate "locally".

      Yup would have to be locally availible, edible (so many plants were basically inedible before generations of selective breeding) and in season... fruit and veg would have such a short eating window without breeding, refrigeration etc not to mention the limitations of pests. Meat however would have been one of the more accessible and year round food sources.

    The reason why I’m considering trying it is because I was vegetarian for six years and in those six years would get sick so easily when before eating unhealthy and smoking cigs I never got sick…maybe once every three years. I new I had to find a different way to live. So then I started learning about the history of vegetables and it blew my mind. I learned about the many carcinogens and toxins like oxalates.I also learned about the history of the healthcare industry and how from 1912/1913 it was taken over by the petroleum industries.They funded all the doctoral college programs and even created all the books. The doctors were only taught the agenda these certain industries that funded them wanted them to know. Did you know scientist were finding out that processed sugars like corn syrup and white sugar were causing heart disease and when these corporations found out they paid of these Harvard scientists to say it was actually red meats that were causing it and make it part of the curriculum taught. This nutritionist may be well intended but she is taught under the same curriculum from these same corporations .

I wont even be drinking grain distilled alcohol from now on.. When i stay on that track, I feel amazing.. when I get lazy about it (gluten reduced beer), it seems I lose energy and mental clarity...

      @@life9438 Totally honest. It changed my life. I lost this weight with little exercise too. I was disabled in a motorcycle accident that took my leg hampering my ability to exercise. I ballooned up to 306 over several years. Started this diet and it was hard at first, but eventually I wasn't even hungry very much anymore and got down to 220. I cheat every so often now, but am maintaining 225-230 still and not on the medications.. (I'm 6' 3" by the way) . My doctor asked me if I would come talk to other patients about this because he was amazed at my transformation. I encourage you to try, but under a doctors supervision.

      @@trembling3674 I actually only eat one time a day now. Intermittent fasting is part of it. Once I got all the carbs out of me I wasn't craving food all the time and it was easier to suppress when I would get a craving. I keep heavy cream or make some fat bombs to keep up energy when I need it. First time in my life that I only feel like I need to eat when my body actually needs it. I may eat a 1lb hamburger steak one evening, and have a pound of pulled pork the next. I don't have to have fine cooked meals anymore, and if I splurge and go out, the spices on the food are just too much for me now. The food I eat tastes great without it now. Btw, this is combined with drinking only water. I'm not that strong willed of a person, but I decided I would try pure carnivore for one month and stuck to it. The benefits were so pronounced in that time I knew I had to keep going, and it was also almost easy by then to stay with it. I'm sure everybody might not have the same results but it can't hurt you to try it for a month or two. Check the difference in you blood-work over three months. My Doctor and I were both amazed.

      Well fats do have a much higher energy yield, so the fact your energy is through the roof isn't surprising. There may also be some metabolic adaptations to optimise fats as a fuel, the body becoming more efficient in gluconeogenesis lets say. Your body will be producing glucose from amino acids and lipids, and it's fascinating to see zero carb diets are becoming more popular, and are actually doing the job in optimising and maintaining health.

    After researching natural health for 40 years, I can ask a few honest questions.
    1.) Do most of us trust the govt after the past few years, especially? They go hand-in-hand with the FDA, big science, big pharma, WHO, CDC, etc.
    2.) Do they want us healthy?
    3.) What kind of soil do we grow crops in? Is it healthy soil, or are we mandated to use only what the govt & Moderna (seeds) allows?
    4.) Do we trust the govt for anything?
    I've not been to the doctor in 35 years. Listen to your body & educate yourself on health.

    I’m on day 3 of carnivore. My eyesight improved dramatically on day 1. Everything is so sharp and clear. I’m having massive sugar withdrawals, with lethargy and headache. Meat has a lot of vitamin K2, which reduces excess calcium. I think this is why my eyes improved. Excess calcium also causes arterial plaque and amyloid aggregation (which in turn is implicated in hundreds of different pathologies) so I hypothesis this to be a major mechanism of action.

    I've spent years in Alaska Native villages. Traditional foods are mostly low or no carb. Salmon, sea lion, seal, moose, etc. Berries and other plant foods were low in carbs and only available for small periods of the year. I find myself wanting to ask the Dr. " What do you think people ate from 2.2 million until about 6000 years ago, before grains were farmed, and high carb foods were developed and available? Pretty much it was meat and fat, fat and meat.

      @@recur68 Who says it was poor? We know very little about what happened before European contact and the introduction of carbs such as potatoes, flour, and root veggies. For the overwhelming majority of human history, food was fat and protein: mammoth, caribou, and the like, and almost no carbs, until we started breeding plants about 6000 years ago.

I'm not talking about today or 5 minutes ago, I'm talking about when they were eating a true Paleo diet. Find a picture of a fat Native American from the 1800s. Mortality is related to a lot of things, such as sanitation, warfare, etc., but literally half of current Americans and Britons have diabetes and other metabolic illnesses, and that was not true even a century ago. Dietary studies that blame fat for strokes and coronary heart disease do not exclude carbohydrates. The way to check, though, is get bloodwork done, go on a "lion", Paleo, or other high fat low carb diet, and have it checked again in a year.

    I grew up dirt poor in Africa.
    My dad was/ is a butcher and hunts once a year in Namibia and sometimes, all we had to eat in the house was meat. Throughout my life I noticed that those times we only had meat for food was when I felt like I could pick up mountains and my ass looked great in jeans again! 😂 I never knew the science behind it, but now I do!

      This generally happens with highly intelligent people that eliminate their own biases in their education. As they research and learn more about subjects, they realize fewer and fewer things are a certainty, and they cannot make such arguments in their papers without being eviscerated by their peers or experts who know better than they do. So they learn to constantly qualify everything they say and to not assume and claim that they know something for a fact. They know how much they don't know about something, and diets are one of these things that is just about impossible to deal on because we're all so different by so many factors. It makes sense to be reluctant to prescribe anything to the general public.

    I’m not following the carnivore diet but I mostly stick to meat (including a lot of organ meat), whole eggs, fruit, nuts, honey and vegtables sometimes and I personally feel really good. It’s improved my acne and my energy levels 10 fold and I contribute most of that to organ meat. I just think you should eat whatever diet makes you feel your healthiest

    yeah sorry gonna have to rain on Dr Patrick's parade here but i adhere to the lion diet (ruminant meat only) for autoimmune issues and i eat almost 3,000 calories on a typical day. most days i eat 2lbs of 80-20 ground beef with extra tallow mixed in, cooked in tallow which i also eat by pouring it over the meat and soaking it up. many days i also drink bone broth. in the first few weeks, without any exercise (and a body that has not exercised in about ten years) i lost ten pounds. then by the end of the second month i had gained back three pounds, and it was all muscle.
    i am not calorie restricted. the health benefits i'm experiencing are most likely a combination of being in ketosis, eliminating inflammatory plant foods, and ceasing the biochemical processes for sugar metabolism/storage that deplete other important nutrients such as magnesium and vitamin c.
    for what it's worth, i've always eaten cleanly, even as a teenager. grassfed and pastured meats/eggs, full fat grassfed dairy, local fruits and vegetables, no processed foods, etc. i feel healthier now than i've ever felt in my life, including when i was 17 and at the peak of my athletic career.
    that being said, i agree COMPLETELY that this diet needs to be studied scientifically. i'd be a pretty shitty biologist if i didn't. but people like Shawn Baker are trying and failing to get funding to study carnivore diets because it's not financially viable for pharmaceutical companies and healthcare systems. it's not like there aren't efforts. but you have to understand that this sort of radical thing gets pushed intentionally to the sidelines because it's not profitable. it doesn't mean it's dangerous pseudoscience, it means that it's inconvenient to the corporations that benefit from a chronically sick populace.

    Well I’m 67 yrs old and anything that is going to help reduce weight and improve quality of life is for me, I’m definitely not concerned about long term and have recently started on this carnivore journey. I note this doctor talks of studies that showed fasting prior to receiving chemotherapy gives much better results, something no one else is brave enough to say yet this is well known by medical practitioners who support Keto and Carnivore. As both can incorporate fasting etc.

    I remember learning about the Inuit being super healthy on only meat when I was a kid. its not really new. i love the idea that a diet can be dangerous, when the government-recommended diet literally causes diabetes and heart disease. diets aren't really ever dangerous, because a person who can think and react will just go off the diet that is harming them.

    I'm on semi carnivore diet, I eat only meat for about 3 weeks and 4th week I eat vegetables and meat.
    Most pains I had are gone, not all and my body is in great shape.
    I love vegetables and I can't remove it 100% . I still want to enjoy food and eating out.
    Too much of one thing is never great!

    I've been carnivore for 3 years. Feel great.
    I get an annual health check up through work every year and the doctor nearly fell on the floor when I told her about my diet. She said 'This doesn't make any sense. Keep doing what you're doing though'
    Everyone is different though, different genes etc. The important thing is to keep an open mind and trial run various foods to see what doesn't agree with your body. Don't just blindly shovel down whatever and wonder why you have health problems.

      No, most people are not “different”. Otherwise there wouldn’t be a standardization of medical knowledge. What *is* different is whether or not individuals are, for example, missing a gall bladder to breakdown fat, but these are exceptions and not the rule. Genes and blood type do have an effect on how certain macros are digested, but if you took 10 people and put them on a ketogenic diet, 9 out of 10 will lose weight. It’s called standard biology.

The issues that we all face are brought about our genetic makeup, our environment, and our mental and emotional outlook. Not everything works for everyone. The key is to experiment to determine what is best for you. If you keep getting blood panels and health checkups and your numbers are good, keep doing it.

      The key is to experiment and see what works out for you. I have a feeling low carb or carnivore is best for me. The moment I start eating wholegrains, oatmeal, rice I run into issues. Also people are different. Some people don't do well on a vegetarian diet. Also your ancestry plays a part. You may be best to eat what your ancestors ate. I have a mixed Asian and European ancestry so I have to see what foods are best for me. I noticed rice which is an Asian staple gives me inflammation.

    Unless you are actually living with an all meat and fat diet to see how it affects your body, you don’t know why they want to keep eating this way. It is not a simple placebo effect. Fasting is not forced as you just lose hunger because you are satiated. It’s not restrictive as there is no limit to how much animal proteins and fats you eat, but you stop eating when full, and never feel over stuffed. And the energy and mental clarity is astounding. Feeling fantastic and having successful health milestones that were never achieved any other way is what keeps people eating this way.

    I’ve been on the carnivore diet for a little over one week and I stopped smoking weed and taking my prescribed Adderall at the same time. I’ve been on 25 mg of Adderall for 13 years and I’ve been smoking weed everyday for 15. I haven’t had a desire to do either since starting this diet. I feel AMAZING. I cannot wait for what is to come. I also used to obsess over my appearance. OBSESS. This week I keep looking in the mirror and wondering why I like myself? I realized I was never ugly. It was just something in my brain telling me I was. I probably look exactly the same but I now I see I am beautiful!!!! it’s very strange, but I think I could get used to this

      @@nshorus5001 how about be happy for him that he found a way to lose so much weight. Of coarse a person can lose lbs through other dieting methods but apparently this worked for him.

      @@JessG_20 it’s possible he lost the weight due to other reasons associated with this new behavior of just eating meat. If he started focusing on meat, he may have also given up on the sweets, ice cream, pastries and desserts that he ate. Maybe he constantly took a walk to “help digest the food.” If all this was taken into account, it would be clear that he lost weight due to giving on certain things not because he started eating meat…good for him for sure but the truth is also that it may not be the meat itself that helped him lose weight…if no one tells him this, he may start preaching “meat only” to people who may not give up their desserts etc.
      Anyway, you get my point.

    Let's just remember, Rhonda isn't an MD, but a Ph.D in a field outside of the realm for which we should be taking nutritional/medical advice; I say this as somebody who does love what she does - as well as a lot that she has to say.
    I say this now as I was diving through the rabbit hole of her works and I often spot red flags when it comes to promoting supplements of any kind. She's smart, but don't let that persuade you too much - as well as too much of what she recommends. The way I see it, take the works of hers and colleagues and scrutinize it/ take it with a grain of salt while accumulating others' works and opinions.

    Been Carnivore for 19 months now, (dirty a bit certainly not perfect but 92% good for sure.). Now I am no longer dying. I feel 15 years younger every day (unless I cheat-then I hurt). The improvements run into multiple dozens. Why aren’t we talking about how HORRIBLY the food was treating me before?! I had fibromyalgia since birth as far as symptoms my mom described to me as an infant and toddler! I couldnt control my temperature and I was the princess and the pea story-I cried from wrinkles in my sheets! Turns out all the vegetables I hated as a kid are the exact ones that I am the most reactive to! Dont get me wrong-I liked others and learned to LOVE all veggies eventually except eggplant-I still barely tolerated it(it is a nightshade so no wonder!) I will from NOW on always believe what my own body tells me over all these gov regulated mind in a box doctors. I fully respect the open minded doctors who admit they were wrong previously! They know the establishment is anti-forward thinking! But science-Real science is about doubt and skepticism not about dogma. I am 95 lbs down and that is the least of it-I don’t care about that compared to how I care about my chest not hurting severely every day, my arthritis hurting, -my fkn 6-8 migraines every week GONE my sleep apnea is GONE! My anemia gone! my high blood pressure gone-my skin condition gone! my insomnia gone! I could go on for 8 more paragraphs but I gotta go to work. And I don’t have to call in sick constantly now!

      @Logic no oils on the carnivore diet. Especially vegetable oils. Animal fats instead. Butter, ghee, beef talo, bacon grease. Try looking up doctor Ken Berry. He is very informative and has been on the carnivore diet for a while now.

    Nice to hear learned people give their opinions on these complex issues. I would've liked to have heard her opinion on blood type diets, and how that might also be a contributing factor in all this.

    I see a lot of us are having a similar train of thought in regards to high protein diets being called restrictive but I don’t think people we’re eating much differently a hundred years ago. Meat was probably the staple with some produce and some potatoes.

      She is not saying high protein is restrictive at ALL. In fact she does it as well. She is saying that Carnivore diet is restrictive. Paleo is the best diet for me. ANd even then, I go off of it from time to time
