The combat did seam too fast and go like Rise for my taste I got sick of the mobility real fast. As always the Monsters and environment are my favorite parts of "New" MH
@@20twelvibes36 then you don't like MH, MH always was about slow and deliberate combat. If you don't like it, play DMC or the myriad of others with fast combat, MH is one of the few games with that type of combat. In world, the DB was fast compared to the previous titles. With every generation, the combat got faster and faster and closer to all the other games, if combat gets faster it will lose what made it special. Also, I have extensively played all weapons in MHW and if you think any weapon is too slow it is a skill issue
I honestly love we have a flying wyvern with the frontier whip wings. Though it does seem to use a different pose compared to Belkyros, Drakyros and Zenaselis.
Quematrice is likely a pun on cockatrice and chemistry since que is pronounced like "ke" in Spanish and the monster ignites a flammable liquid through friction
I’m getting the feeling the final boss is going to have very strong ties to the weather. Dirst we got the Lightning Duststorm with Rey Dau, now we get the Downpour with Uth Duna. Each region’s apex is probably only going to appear in an intense weather event, and the final boss is going to be the reason why each of these weather events has been occurring frequently.
I can absolutely see that Its arena will be always in extreme weather until we are able to bring it down to the final phase using the mighty Dragonator. The weather got semi-clear, the dragon cloud obscured the sky clearing and giving a glimpse of the warm sun. Then the anthem we’ve been waiting for…
Considering that it isn't an Elder Dragon, maybe we capture it and it ends up going ballistic in our base, killing someone important. And then the kid is like, "I told you we should have killed it!" type of thing
Ive been thinking ever since the steelbook came out and showed the shadowy chains, what if it has ties to the ancient civilization? Like what if its an actual monster weapon that has just been marching on all this time?
Quematrice sounds like a wordplay on "Queima" which means Burn in portuguese or spanish "Quema" and cockatrice which the chicken head brings to mind. To me its one of the most interesting design due to how it looks so "real" compared to the crazy monster designs
I'm actually really excited about the story premise. If it's at least decent and explores the conflict of preserving nature vs preserving human life I'll be happy.
I know this might be crazy, but I have to say it. What if the arkveld is symbolism for slavery / colonization? They call it the "White Wraith", it has a chain design motif, and this brown kid is completely traumatized by it. So far, it seems like the main characters are mostly outsiders venturing into this undocumented Africa - like region. Some of the dialogue they chose to use in the trailer like "This is it's territory, and we're intruders." and "Forest ours. You respect" sort of add to this vibe. I predict that the arkveld will be an invasive species causing significant damage to the ecosystem and native people, and it will have been brought to the region because of this expedition somehow. I know it's not a perfect theory but it would be an interesting direction for a monster hunter game I think, especially when you consider monster hunter's themes of the hubris of man and their desire to conquer the unknown.
It will turn out that Nata is probably right and they SHOULD kill it. I kinda want them to dilly-dally and only to realize it is super dangerous and oppressive to enviroment way too late. I except it to reproduce by its lonesome and the reason it is almost extinct is its terrifying reproduction ability. It was probably being kept in check by Nata's tribe. Tagline: An extinct Monster? FOR A GOOD REASON!
Arkveld really reminds me of Zenaserisu from frontier as they both have that chain whip designed wings. Even if I personally believe Zenaserisu is the superior design between the two. But Wilds looks genuinely incredible and I cannot wait to see more of it and play it in February. Love the big goofy apex leviathan though. Really torn between it and Lala Barina for favorite 6th gen monster.
I bet there is a variant of the white wraith that is actually responsible for chasing of the mystery boy. Maby its a very similar looking monster because the logo has 2 dragons. You know Maby its like subtle difference like in-between primordial malzeno and Qurio malzeno were they just look very similar to each other but do different things.
Uth Duna is almost a spitting image of an Arapaima with extra fins. I'm kinda mad it's not a Piscine Wyvern. Gobul is another one. Such amazing fish designs, but instead of making the actual fish wyverns cooler they give those designs to leviathans.
I feel exactly the same but now that leviathans are back I'm afraid it's over for the piscines, worldborne was the only one where 2 of them got introduced because Leviathans didn't work there. Now that they're back at most we'll get a plesioth rework and maybe some small monsters. I also feel Quematrice should have been a raptor bird wyvern but oh well.
@obiguanche5512 as a piscine and Jyuratodus hater I'm very ok with this. Unless it's plesioth because plesioth is always welcome to cause hunters immense suffering. I genuinely hope if they ever add it back they don't fix the hip check hitbox just to keep the meme alive.
@@itsyaboiguzma I respect your opinion but I don't like the idea of throwing away entire monster classes because they don't look cool enough. @obiguanche5512 oh no I'm primarily talking about Jyuratodus. Lavasioth was great in FU and Frontier. Plus frontier had two extra piscine wyverns that were quite unique not as enjoyable as other fights but still good monsters imo. Jyuratodus imo is the only monster I'd class as worthless to borderline unsalvagable. They at least tried to improve it in Rise failed but at least tried. It's got a bad moveset, lame gimmick already done better by Barroth with mud armor and sticky mud, bad armor and armor skills, terrible weapons in both utility and design. Just a monster that belongs in a garbage bin. 5th gen did piscine wyverns dirty especially lavasioth by giving it lava armor which it didn't have before. And my little tinfoil hat conspiracy is we know Lagiacrus was planned for world but scrapped due to animations not functioning as intended. I 200% think Agnaktor was also planned but scrapped because that area of the elder recess is perfect for agnaktor. So lavasioth was a replacement but decided to give it agnaktor's heated and cooled lava armor states.
@@itsyaboiguzma I'd say they did pretty well with Jyuratodus in Rise. It's probably the best piscine to date in that game. It's engaging, utilises the game's gimmick with area denial and has something unique about it in the way its topples work while it's in the water.

The combat demo didn't feel the great, but I do like the new monsters Namielle was one of my Favorite in world and the new on dose remind me of it. We don't see to many monsters that have that “slimy” feel like a slug, although the skin texture is like a monitor Lizard and does not fit with the rest in my opinion. They should have gone with the stile of a Salamander with a soft belly and harder skin on top. I do hope the story does not go into the “modern” direction of an anti-hunting message that does not fit at all with monster hunter. In MH the monsters are like natural disasters and have to be stopped for survival you are the underdog in a world of constant danger. One way it would be interesting is if they found an undiscovered group of people that like Buddhists do not kill at all and the conflict that brings, but that should not come from the hunter. The environments do seem to be the best part so far.
“Anti hunting” does fit in monster hunter, it’s always been there. The guild as a governing body decides what can/can’t be hunted specifically to prevent things from being over hunted. The fact that poaching is a crime punishable by death is evidence enough for that. In monster hunter, if you hunt something, it should be for good reason, and no part of the monster should be wasted. That stuff has been there since basically day one.
