There’s a reliable leak from some person in China if I remember correctly. But he predicted key features in the weapons showcase before the second trailer, predicted the first two revealed returning monsters also before weapon showcase videos were being dropped. If this continues to be reliable the five circles on the logo symbolize five locales, the next reveal will be Nerscylla followed by Blangonga, then Seregios, and lastly your theory about Gore Magala and Shagaru isn’t far off. Gore and Shagaru as well as the frenzy are going to be key components to the story and Arkveld. Again this is all relying on a leak source that was and has been surprisingly promising but we don’t know if this’ll continue to be so. So take this information with skepticism but I’m optimistic about this. You didn’t hear this from me trust.🍷🗿
I wonder if they'll ever explore the ancient civilization in any game. I feel like there's a lot of untapped potential there for cool mysteries that aren't "new big bad monster has appeared, go kill it to protect the ecosystem."
I REALLY hope that you are right. I really hope that Gore Magala will be there. Gore Magala is the reason why I am a Monster Hunter fan and is also my favorite Monster. I would be really happy if the Gore Magala is important for the plot of Monster Hunter Wilds. Gore Magala being in this game would 100% made me buy this game. Great video.
it could be that Arkveld is a ancestor to Akantor and Ukanlos? there are some similarities, the general shape, the fangs to Akantor, the color to Ukanlos and if he is to be as strong as gore magala it would make sense that he his connected in some way to some other elder dragon level flying wyverns, also it has this ancient aura to him, just some thoughts of mine.
An actual connection instead of mindlessly comparing him to gore magala? Now this is a good take since both of these groups are or were flying wyverns with bigger frontal limbs.
All I hope is that I get to fight a Shagaru Magala again. Really enjoyed fighting his Risen version on Sunbreak (his special is my fav hunt in the series atm)
Honestly this theory would be cool and if the destruction of the keepers wasnt out of anger but arkveld trying to escape to combat Gore/shagaru which would make sense, considering all it takes is one infected to spread it and since i see this theory as more that arkveld isnt born to fight gore hes the prevention to shagaru
The thing I like about this idea is that it would continue something that I have come to love about this series. Even if succeeding MH games can, and often will "rhyme" in how they may reuse concepts that came before? It's often not going to play out in the exact same way. For example, Rise basically bought back the basic beat of "the antics of flying serpentine elders cause other monsters to go amok and evade other ecosystems" from Portable 3rd, but to say the least, Zinogre being a confused pup that was antagonizing the locals was quite from the Rampage that would be caused by Narwha and her mate. So, at worst, if Jakob's right, Arkveld would be somewhat continuing the idea of a specific monster type that hunts another (or others), not unlike Nergigante did it. But how different it could play out in Arkveld's case could be very interesting to see play out, whether it really be because it goes after Magalas, or "something else" that was from its era that is giving Arkveld a very good reason to go on a tear.
I think this is a very interesting theory, and it would be really cool if it comes true! I actually had a kind of similar theory about xeno and alatreon, as I believe the elder crossing was actually dealt with by alatreon in the past, which is why it appears in the secluded valley (to fight and defeat safi). If that is the case, a similar cycle with arkveld would absolutely make sense given the similar context
Okay, this is a more crackpot theory: the reason why arkveld was chained up was so it could be put into the ancient dragon weapon. I know that sounds crazy. However, we do see that those chains have fused to Arkveld, so what if the Arkveld species was mass hunted as a binding agent for the ancient dragon weapon. Then perhaps the keepers were just doing their task, not actually knowing about what the ancients did. Perhaps you could say that the binding agent part of Arkveld could somehow make things live longer, perhaps, which could fight off the frenzy virus.
The problem I have with this theory is that Gore Magala already got a bucket-load of fan service in Sunbreak and Capcom is probably done with it for a bit. I like the theory though, and I hope you're right.
This is by far my favorite theory on the story I have heard so far My one question is if this ends up true(since you have a psychic ability) Would shag be the final boss? I would actually love if story focused on gore and Arkveld but then actual story goes back to true final boss of the other expedition teams But post expansion story is about Shagaru
That's a very well constructed theory and it ties nicely to past events, wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being this way. My personal wishlist for the plot is for Loc Lac to come back and tie some things so we go back to the last point in recorded history, that last sandstorm, or maybe we find the ruins from a last Morhan having crushed the entire place on it's migration
I think the boy's goal is revenge. Ours as Hunters will be balance and coexistence. I think the main theme might be a blueprint for the story. We start off slow, beginning the expedition with a single goal and exploring the beginnings of the Forbidden lands with the windswept plains. The violin part in the song everybody loves is when we begin seeing the splendor of these lands for what they truly are, a region of untapped majesty and beauty that we get to explore alongside all of these fantastical monsters. When the song gets threatening, we discover arkvelds rage and the threat he is to human life, the boy wants him dead but the guild won't let us as they were extinct. So we find the reason arkveld is rampaging, likely an elder dragon, and it's time to be a true hunter. Heroism in the song as it go loud as the trumpets sing, is our hunter doing our part in taking down mid level threats to the ecosystem. As a veteran hunter everyone is watching us work as we surpass what they even know about hunters with each hunt. We are skilled and resourceful, a hero made flesh that can repel arkveld without killing it. The changes and its beauty matched with heroism as it's our duty to put down the true monster of the forbidden lands to bring balance back to nature. The veteran hunter prevails, a true hero. In its final act, it's back to studying the forbidden lands, back to business, back to hunting as usual. Our work is not finished yet. I think as a blueprint for the story it matches Monster Hunters many game story beats, like Rise and World. They might subvert expectations, but they have a formula and it works every time because they make it feel fresh and exciting with each game. Time to be a hero, hunters!
POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD in a recent leak, from a credible source, gore/shagaru magala was confirmed to be in the game. Not only this, they said that gore has a strong story impact. The leaker was a chinese leaker, and they have currently been truthful so far, going as far as predicting the follow up attack to the helmbreaker. This video may very well possibly be right, or very close.
I lovepredicting monster hunter’s features, I accidentally guessed half the stuff they’ve revealed in wilds just by writing down features and mechanics I wish were in world
World and Iceborne did give precedent on nature having a auto correct on issues. Zorah trying to blow up Xeno and nerg keeping the recess empty of elders. Iceborne has Velkhana and Ruiner checking the everwyrm along with Safi being checked by black dragons.
I like your theory and really hope gore make a return. Just notice that arkveld has hair on his wings similiar to gore. Mabe like you said arkveld is the cure to the gores virus.
I think your theory is also heavily supported by the theme music, particularly the main theme that was released by the live orchestral version. For wilds i predicted a plot line that involved working with the aid of the flagship monster that wasn’t an elder dragon, due to the main theme music.
Well, one thing we can be sure of is that Arkweld won't be the last of its kind. Just from a meta perspective, we know it'll be used in several quests, and the master rank expansion will have a buffed version of it as a fight. If there's only one, our hunter killing it once would be the end of it. It can't even return in future games. So capturing for preservation as an excuse works.
there was a unconfirmed leak that had gore magala as one of the returning monsters so you could be right, but even if it's not, you are right about arkveld playing a more important role as he seems to be targeting one of the apex monsters in the reveal trailer
This is a great theory, especially after how much this game already references mh4 is super interesting to see how much inspiration capcom has taken from mh4. This theory sounds super solid especially with gore showing up in sunbreak. I hope it’s true, it’d make an amazing story
While you equate arkveld to an "antidote" i think the comparison that may be more on the nose is that its the "white blood cell" monster to counter the "virus" monster of gore magala
Very interesting theory! I replayed MH4U recently and read that the true story about the frenzy got lost in time, so if we get more info on that and Arkveld is the solution to the Magalas like you said I think it would be really cool! Also, while I like your theories about what Fabius story could be in Wilds, I'd like to mention that what you said about him in 4U isn't quite right. When our group learns about the Seregios fleeing their territory, the Ace Lancer goes there to investigate and discovers the Apex Seregios. He didn't know about it previously or went there to kill it. That task falls to the Hunter because the Ace Hunters had to protect Dundorma from Kushala. He got badly injured in the Gore Magala hunt, staying behind so the others could escape. He talks about it once, thanking the Hunter for saving them that time. In my opinion, he doesn't have much of a character arc in 4U other than being the veteran hunter that guides the Ace Hunters and helps with investigations. I'm happy to see that you're excited about Wilds! I really liked your video about returning monsters too. Pls Capcom bring back my beloved Gammoth (and a 4U port)
I really hope your theory is correct but is it also plausible that the gore magala events don't exactly get "snuffed out" more so that they molt into shagaru and therefore can control the frenzy compared to before when they were a gore and to answer the question of how there are few it could be there are very few eggs laid, and as for the references to MH4U Arkveld is said to be ancient there's still the possibily that it could be and ancestor to gore/shagaru.
If your theory is legitimate, I wonder if Arkveld is just the juvenile or adolescent growth stage of its species, and it's unable to properly take down the gore magala threat until it reaches full-stage adulthood. Which would not only suggest that the locals are merely imprisoning it for their own uses, but also attempting to protect while it's in a vulnerable stage in its life. Since the whip-like appendages on its wings resemble chains of sorts, perhaps it will "break free" from those symbolic chains once it reaches its adult form, evolving into something heavenly (or perhaps even something demonic) to complement or contrast Shagaru Magala's brilliant & ethereal adult form.
huh, if this theory proves to be largely true, then that also might explain why Seregios is always getting shafted compared to other flagship monsters. Maybe Seregios wasn't originally intended or even desired, even though it was what we ended up getting in 4 Ultimate; and maybe there's some sort of lingering resentment towards the monster.
So let's say you're right, why does Arkveld attack the apexes of the regions? (Atleast from what i have heard from the Wilds story) My guess that maybe it does it to prevent them to become infected and turn into highly dangerous Apex monsters. In 4U, only really strong monsters can become an Apex after being infected. Also it seems that larger individuals tend to have a higher chance of survival (like the Apex Seregios in the story). So it would not only be fighting Gore Magala, but also the apexes to prevent them from getting infected and turning into Apex monsters (i know this is kinda confusing with the whole "apexes" and "Apex"). Your theory makes sense, since why would a species like Gore Magala even evolve, if a single one can eradicate an entire continent? Like, what should it or its offspring eat after that? There needs to be something balancing it out. Arkveld wouldn't even need to kill Gore directly. It just needs to kill potential Apex monsters and infected monsters to keep the virus in check. What would it even gain from that? Its still an animal. A normal animal wouldn't make such decisions? First, it would gain food by killing the monsters. Also assuming it has a immunity to the virus. Second it would also prevent the apexes to turn into even more dangerous beasts that could be a danger to Arkveld itself. Also if it hunts and eats the infected monsters, then it might not want to kill Gore at all. It would make sense for an intelligent animal. If something else is killing and weakening animals for you, then use this to your advantage. So killing Gore would be a disadvantage.
@@TrillForTheWorld Its not a reach. Everything he said was word for word what the leak said and he made the video conveniently a day or two after the leak. Also the leak is true based on the recent datamine.
Damn i remember seeing this initially and passing it off as some weird clickbait before recently in a VC my freind gave a brief summary of the topics in this. I was not aware of how much the Elder Crossing represents the previous titles, i only thought Aiden was there as a cameo for the 4U fans like myself but holy shit if the .001% chance of this theory becomes real than MH Wilds is gonna go.... wild
Would be cool to see what's the result of a "Deviant" Elder Dragon, it's the same kind of interaction as with (some) deviants, what happen when an hunter try to repel-kill a monster but ending up just mutilating it and creating a traumatism within the creature, thus, an immensely dangerous creature in the future. I could see this happening with Arkveld, somehow emprisonned by the Keepers for X reasons, but ending up just exploding like a kettle, which the emprisonment only increased his pressure/resentment. It may sounds like too humanized for an ED, but if IRL Elephants can remember specific crocodiles and/or human poaching attacks and act aggresively similarly of what we could a Revenge. I could see an Elder Dragon or whatever Arkveld is acting similarly...
Actually we had something like this in MH4U, but only how the monster behaved. It didn't change anything about the fight. And that was Shagaru Magala. In the cutscene you can clearly see how it looks at the hunter like it recognises that this is the very same hunter who is it's arch-rival. Then it flies into the air and proudly shows it's new form. I guess as an elder, like Ruiner Nergigante, it is intelligent enough to portray such behaviour. Btw even tho Gore is blind as far as I know, it can still "see" you with it's other sensory organs. Thats how Shagaru recognises the hunter. So yeah, we already have an elder in the series that had an encounter with the hunter and behaved differently because of it. But it would be cool to actually get some deviant elders
Welp, there's a supposer leaker who nailed Kutky and Congalala coming back, and it claim that not only Gore and Shagaru are coming back, but also they and the frenzy virus will have an impact in the story. So there might be some relation to Arkveld.
a leaker who correctly predicted returning monsters in the correct order they were revealed made a prediction for gore magala returning in wilds and if hes right then you might actually be onto something
I believe (cant find footage atm) the Virus flashes white-blue when you overcome it i game, in my memory it seems similar to Arkveld's colorscheme. The glowing purple energy it has might be contained or controlled Frenzy energy or related

Distantly related yes. Gaismagorm closely resembles gogmazios which is an ancient relative or ancestor of gore magala that didnt had to evolve that much.

That only makes the leak of magala returning to wilds even more believable
I REALLY hope that you are right. I really hope that Gore Magala will be there. Gore Magala is the reason why I am a Monster Hunter fan and is also my favorite Monster. I would be really happy if the Gore Magala is important for the plot of Monster Hunter Wilds. Gore Magala being in this game would 100% made me buy this game. Great video.
Best way to describe my experience with watching this is just: "Wait... yea."
Honestly the references to mh4u make this really believable
black and white, yin and yang, it makes some sense.
That would be really awesome.
it could be that Arkveld is a ancestor to Akantor and Ukanlos? there are some similarities, the general shape, the fangs to Akantor, the color to Ukanlos and if he is to be as strong as gore magala it would make sense that he his connected in some way to some other elder dragon level flying wyverns, also it has this ancient aura to him, just some thoughts of mine.
An actual connection instead of mindlessly comparing him to gore magala? Now this is a good take since both of these groups are or were flying wyverns with bigger frontal limbs.
Akantor looks like bebe zorah magdaros
@@mazin_iq1499imagine watching this whole video and calling his theory mindless, don’t be childish
Gog I want this to be true so bad. Capcom give us a climatic fight between Arkveld and a Shagaru I beg you
why couldnt u wish for mhs3? do that for me ok? predict it for me
I'm predicting that monster hunter stories 3 will be announced in June 2026...
@grannygreens3773 evil prediction but who knows
I think MHstories3 is inevitable
There was a leak that gore magala is tied to the main story. Let’s wait and see
I want this to be real so badly.
it is
4:15 Alma is mommy confirmed?
I love this theory man!
Bro can cook.
No he just read the leaks.
I think arkveld might finally answer what species gore actually is since gor is always a "???" Class monster
The problem I have with this theory is that Gore Magala already got a bucket-load of fan service in Sunbreak and Capcom is probably done with it for a bit. I like the theory though, and I hope you're right.
Why not use it again since it worked super well in 4u and sun break?
This is by far my favorite theory on the story I have heard so far
My one question is if this ends up true(since you have a psychic ability)
Would shag be the final boss?
I would actually love if story focused on gore and Arkveld but then actual story goes back to true final boss of the other expedition teams
But post expansion story is about Shagaru
That's a very well constructed theory and it ties nicely to past events, wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being this way. My personal wishlist for the plot is for Loc Lac to come back and tie some things so we go back to the last point in recorded history, that last sandstorm, or maybe we find the ruins from a last Morhan having crushed the entire place on it's migration
Its not a well constructed theory. They stole it off a reddit post from 2021 and another one two weeks ago along with the recent leaks.
POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD
in a recent leak, from a credible source, gore/shagaru magala was confirmed to be in the game. Not only this, they said that gore has a strong story impact. The leaker was a chinese leaker, and they have currently been truthful so far, going as far as predicting the follow up attack to the helmbreaker. This video may very well possibly be right, or very close.
Link?
That's link to rathalos watch who covered the leaks
I think they also predicted Congalala and Yian Kut Ku
@obambagaming1467 yes, and in the exact order they were officially announced/shown in.
When Arkveld attack Uth Duna, he use his tentacles to absorb Duna strength ( similar to safi'jiiva). Maybe therse 2 have connections
Imagine if we got to hunt along side this flagship monster that would go so hard
Wilds where story no longer the side dish of MH game
I like your theory and really hope gore make a return. Just notice that arkveld has hair on his wings similiar to gore. Mabe like you said arkveld is the cure to the gores virus.
I think your theory is also heavily supported by the theme music, particularly the main theme that was released by the live orchestral version. For wilds i predicted a plot line that involved working with the aid of the flagship monster that wasn’t an elder dragon, due to the main theme music.
Sounds interesting. I find most MH narratives to be pretty lacking but larger, overarching stories would help make the world feel a lot richer
Gore magala story wise was treated as a single monster so they could pull it off
The hunts after the initial one could be treated as non-canon
Zorah Magdaros can be fought more than once
Based on your prediction track record I now 100% believe your theory and expect both Gore and Steve to return in Wilds!
He just read the leaks.
We did get a leak in the rathaloswatch discord that gore magala will return from a Japanese guy in the marketing
there was a unconfirmed leak that had gore magala as one of the returning monsters so you could be right, but even if it's not, you are right about arkveld playing a more important role as he seems to be targeting one of the apex monsters in the reveal trailer
Bro is the monster hunter oracle lmao
The whole tragic hero thing for monsters is the beat thing monster hunter has ever done, primordial malzeno was a great monster
I love your videos Jakob
This is a great theory, especially after how much this game already references mh4 is super interesting to see how much inspiration capcom has taken from mh4. This theory sounds super solid especially with gore showing up in sunbreak. I hope it’s true, it’d make an amazing story
I guess you could call it a Monster Hunter WILD Theory 😁💀
didn't he just spoil me the whole game. Did he?
He knew of the leaks and then made a video as if he has no knowledge of them.
@nuke2099 it was a fun/sarcastic commentary not much besides that. Even tho now with the datamine info that has been released I'm scared hahahhaha
While you equate arkveld to an "antidote" i think the comparison that may be more on the nose is that its the "white blood cell" monster to counter the "virus" monster of gore magala
that lego arkveld is fantastic.
Biggest question? How fancy is the arkveld hat
I've always wanted way more story lore implemented into the games
Geez you really did predict everything about this game!
As someone who stared in 4U, I am praying this all is true
i cant get over the fact u literally predicted almost everything important/gamechanging with wilds
Except he chose safe to happen things that were almost always going to happen.
This is a cool theory. I also feel the same somber tone of the game. The main theme gives me that vibe too. I like it a lot.
Really cool vid, makes me even more hyped lol
i mean knowing capcom arkveld will be the usual "bad monster" thats causing a ruckus only for after we deal with it the real culprit shows up
huh, if this theory proves to be largely true, then that also might explain why Seregios is always getting shafted compared to other flagship monsters. Maybe Seregios wasn't originally intended or even desired, even though it was what we ended up getting in 4 Ultimate; and maybe there's some sort of lingering resentment towards the monster.
So let's say you're right, why does Arkveld attack the apexes of the regions? (Atleast from what i have heard from the Wilds story)
My guess that maybe it does it to prevent them to become infected and turn into highly dangerous Apex monsters.
This will age like wine
there is alot of connections with 4. gemma i think is little miss smith also
There IS speculation that Gore Magala will return so It's not completely unreasonable of a theory.
i refuse to call the chatacabra by its official name. that thing is called the sticky-licka, as far as i'm concerned.
Might explain why it was supposed to be extinct
I predicted the story
What’s the source bro?
“Just trust me”
Amazing theory tho🙂↕️
@@TrillForTheWorld Not really. He basically read the leaks which came out prior to this video. He's acting like he doesn't know.
@ that's a bit of a reach there my guy
@@TrillForTheWorld Its not a reach. Everything he said was word for word what the leak said and he made the video conveniently a day or two after the leak. Also the leak is true based on the recent datamine.
Damn i remember seeing this initially and passing it off as some weird clickbait before recently in a VC my freind gave a brief summary of the topics in this.
I was not aware of how much the Elder Crossing represents the previous titles, i only thought Aiden was there as a cameo for the 4U fans like myself but holy shit if the .001% chance of this theory becomes real than MH Wilds is gonna go.... wild
didn't the devs already said, that the story isn't related to MH4 or any other MH Title?
and they tease one of the characters of the 4th as one of the main characters in the plot, yes ofcourse i believe them
@@NozdormuFun what character do you mean? the Lance guy? could be the same case, as with Aiden or what's his name was in MHWorld.
The Rusted Kushala in 4U is kinda like a Deviant I guess
That's because this guy saw the leaks and went with the same story as well as copying what was posted years ago.
a leaker who correctly predicted returning monsters in the correct order they were revealed made a prediction for gore magala returning in wilds and if hes right then you might actually be onto something
The keepers could've also been keeping Arkveld for the EXACT same reason that you speculated Fabius/the guild wanted to track him down! 🤔🤔🤔
I believe (cant find footage atm) the Virus flashes white-blue when you overcome it i game, in my memory it seems similar to Arkveld's colorscheme. The glowing purple energy it has might be contained or controlled Frenzy energy or related
SPOILER ALERT READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!
°•○¤
Dude, from the leaks I think you got this exactly right! Gore vs arkweld looks to be the direction we are going with the frenzy virus back. Great work!
I hope they go all put with this game like they did with World.
I agree with everything you've said up until the Gore stuff, even knowing the newest leaks and stuff I just don't think it will happen
Aren't sunbreak parasites are also variation(some what evolution related) of gore magala one. So high chance they will continue story about frenzy
Distantly related yes. Gaismagorm closely resembles gogmazios which is an ancient relative or ancestor of gore magala that didnt had to evolve that much.
If your theory is right, I want to see the Ace Gunner and the guy with dual blades.
Duuude I didn’t even put 2 and 2 together that that was the ace lancer. Is this confirmed to be him tho or is that another theory cause I know they confirmed in game that the Aiden was in mhw but I didn’t see anything even talking about the guy who sends us on the expedition
Speaking of the pinecone boi, whens steve coming to the collection?
HIGHLY unlikley. It just wouldnt make much sense. Arkveld basically might resemble gore magala, but there has no virtual proof its deally anywhere even a close relative or rival with magalas.
Hey does your prediction show anything about a monster hunter 4 ultimate remaster?
Sorry I’m pretty sure I made a whole video on why I think they aren’t gonna port the old games anytime soon
You (arkveld) vs the guy she tells you not to worry about (gore/shaguru magala)
