Today in this Powerstroke Central youtube video we finally upgraded our transmission on my 6.0L powerstroke. this is one of my biggest upgrades to date on the 6.0 and will hopefully shave my 0-60 time by 1 second. your fan clutch is either stuck engaged or the truck is getting really hot. these fans use 100 horse power go spin at 3000 rpm and 140ish horse power at 4000 rpm. gotta figure out why its on all the time
I just hit the 2 year mark on exact same trans.....has had more than a couple dozen funky shifts in that time... and just last week my tow haul light flashed for the 1st time. 175cc w every supporting mod...
Engine has been built for 6 years and I've owned it 10.... so I don't beat on it like most would. Mostly tow 4k work trailer.
Tuning and a transmission makes a big difference for sure. I had a 2007 5.9 Dodge Megacab 4x4. It had Hardway EFI Live and a built 48re, otherwise completely stock. The guy I sold it to took it to a drag strip and ran a high 13 second quarter mile.
That fan clutch is robbing power. Something goin on there

I would love to see you add traction bars to the build. I don't know much about em but I heard you can reduce axel wrap and kind of want to do them myself.. (Mostly for looks)

Did you re-use the factory torque converter? Or did you swap in a new one like a suncoast with the new trans?

@@powerstrokecentral thats badass I didn’t know it included it🔥 also did you use a oem transfer case? If you did how much power do you think the stock transfer case can handle since now the “weak” link would be the t-case since you built the transmission?
@@just.a.memoir oem transfer case is probably the strongest part of a 6.0 lol easily hold up to 1000hp
that warren seems like it shifts so freaking smooth... I want to convert my 70k mile 6.0 into a manual... how much do think im looking at as far as price goes. I want a 550 RWHP reliable truck. what what anyone recommend?

If you'd actually leave the line with some boost it would greatly improve your time
Anything over 15psi will wheel hop the truck so bad it won’t even stay straight on the road
if you got a real custom tune you wouldn’t have a problem building boost
