35mins of just pure inspiration, wonderment and odditys presented masterfully by a band, not any band, the one and only Pink Floyd. Who will be worshipped, adored for generations to come. A fantastic piece of music 🎶 This is real music, by real musicians. 😁✌️👏
LotsofGods on this planet I don't they will know or heard of Ed Sheeran or the Spice Girls but definitely The Cure for the unwant of Engelbert Humperdinck.
If you like Ambient techno music he did a collaboration with The Orb, entitled Metallic Spheres and later they released a different version called Metallic Spheres Colors...
Man, 21:35 onward has to be one of the greatest, smoothest jams i've ever heard. Makes me wish Part 8 was performed live more often throughout the years.
Yes, Rick Wright's piano section here is beautiful--and at the same time, really haunting. I get chills every time I hear it. Unfortunately, they didn't include this on the studio version. It kind of reminds of Great Gig, but much darker. After Syd died, this was even sadder to listen to... although I guess, in their minds, the Syd they knew had already died.
@@JohnDoe-gk7ok Yeah, the last part already sounds like a funeral march, but in that live version it sounds very different with the guitars and everything... maybe sadder. Very beautiful ending, thou.
Yes. I've always been very grateful. It was amazing and life changing for the better. Very powerful. Much like Roger's concerts I saw this June. Incredible!
Even though David makes some mistakes, he's still better than any other guitarist who attempted to cover this. Because of his unique timing and the fact he goes all out. Every time.
It actually called the In The Flesh? Tour. Animal Instincts is the name of one of the bootlegs released of the Oakland show. Good mix of the two parts though. After years and years of getting bad boots of this show, I finally got a good one last year. This is obviously from the same one. The sound is stellar, good enough for an official release, imo.
That's right, thanks for the info! I've updated the video description. This bootleg is really good quality. I hope that with new technologies they'll finally release an official version with better quality.
Wow, after 45 years I just noticed that the transition into the penultimate section is a lot like the final section of A Saucerful of Secrets minus the vocal.
I know you edited together 2 parts which had other songs sandwiched in the middle, but this here is my favorite version of my favorite Pink Floyd song of all time
Epic and amazing! I wish that Pink Floyd was releasing a complete show from the "Animals" tour this year to mark the album's 45th anniversary. Thank you for sharing this ... :)
Thank you! I'm actually working on a remix of this whole song... thanks to the AIs that allow you to separate each instrument. But it's been complicated and may take a while hehe

marvelous version, but i have a question, who plays the synth in the final IX part ?? Eventually rick wright is playing the piano, but who plays the synth? (i think it´s a mini moog)
If I remember correctly, in those classic tours before The Wall they only hired an extra, Snowy White, as a second guitar player. Since he is playing with Gilmour in Part IX, I think that Rick Wright is playing both the piano and the synth. (In some The Great Gig In The Sky, Wright plays the piano while Gilmour plays the hammond, after playing the slide guitar). I always considered that because I think he is playing a liiittle bit sloppy, trying to play 2 keyboards at the same time. Also, when it's just the piano playing (30:55), before the synth, it sounds like he is playing with both hands. Then, when the synth comes in (31:23), it sounds like he is playing the piano in a very simpler way (with one hand).
At 8:47 David's jammin' some Epic blues!! LOL 😂 WATERS TRYING TO SING SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMOND! HOW PAINFUL - David had to be Laughing while jammin'!! 😂
If I remember correctly, Dick Parry is playing it (I think he played on every Pink Floyd tour between 1973 and 1977, as well as recording in the studio with the band, such as on "Money", "Shine On" and "Wearing The Inside Out").
@@sergiorojomusic Yes, this is right. You can hear in the version of Money from this gig, David Gilmour clearly says 'Come on Dick' before the sax solo.
@@sergiorojomusic Oh THAT solo? I always felt like Gillmor doesn't play like that, it's too raw, rock n' roll dirty sound, David is too smooth for that one. Thanks again, very interesting.

Snowy's and David's guitar playing together at the end... Divine.
David's slide guitar playing is like something alien. It's amazing!
Again, the opening part of this song always touches me so deeply in my soul
I was only 12 yrs old then
But seen Gilmore play this a few times live later in life
still an ICONIC piece of music that stands the test of time
Ahhh.... David's guitar.... Nothing else in the world makes my brain feel this way..... time and time and time again.... God!

This is cooking. Funky, powerful groove and tight. The syncopation and phrasing around the beat. Dave and Snowy are a revelation.

The best live version of the most beautyfull theme of the band 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
a proper requiem to their friend and bandmate. look how his passing changed the Band.

What in the hell am I listening to right now. Wow. The jam in the middle… jeez.
This is probably the longest live song performed!
Green Carnation - 'Light of Day, Day of Darkness' is an hour long.
