Renault Clio Can't Get The Spark Plug Out - FIX

- Precision hook tool kit at amzn.to/3RM5X3G This is a common problem on the Renault Clio 1.2 and maybe other models. when removing the spark plug tubes, the little rubber sleeve at the end of the spark plug tube gets stuck onto the spark plug stopping you to be able to unscrew the spark plug out. We show you in this video how we got the rubber sleeve off the spark plug with a simple hook tool. Check it out.

Try using some dielectric grease on the boots. Helps removing wire leads eaiser.
Indeed, best practice.
I love watching your videos about cars and things I had to stop driving 2022

I use a length of garden hose to pull the loose plug out and then to refit it into the hole.

Well done Jimmy , just as well your old man was there keeping you right 🤔
I had the same misfire one of the leads burnt out you could seen just a pin like hole all burnt changed the coil pack all good looks like a four stud coil pack same as mine the earlier Clio's are 3 stud
Evening mate how are you, I noticed you haven’t been well over Christmas, I hope you are feeling better now , I suffer from the same as what you had all to do with my heart condition and kidneys, I get I feeling of being kicked in the balls very tender, anyway hope you and the family are all good , nice to see Jimmy as well , he’s still got the old Clio , take care Phil
Thanks Phil, on the mend now bud.

I sold it.

👍👍👍.Thanks
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
try changing plugs around then leads to see if the misfire move.as you have a code reader that will also show.
Done all that.
Love your Jimmy does he have a youtube channel Martin.
No he doesn't.
It's what you called a pick tool
you may want to do a compression test before you get coil or plugs , clios suffered with valve burn out , it's a free test before you buy any bits ,
All the plugs indicated light brown showing complete combustion bud.
again it is just a suggestion , but if all plugs are showing complete combustion , why do you think it is misfiring , if it were me i would be asking myself , if the plugs are sparking , they must be ignighting the fuel mixture , so why do i have a misfire , what is or what can cause a misfire , an the cheapest and free thing to do is a compression test , it maybe fine , but i would rather spend 10 mins doing this than spending money on parts to find out it might not be the problem , again , just my suggestion , plus it could be a new video for you to upload ,
@@darrenfrost5775 A intermittent misfire isn't a symptom of poor compression Darren.
@@retrorestore ok , i watched the video , my comment was made due to the statement " developed a misfire " the video didn't state it was an intermittent misfire ,
@@darrenfrost5775 Never mind.
Why didn't you glue the new ones to the tube, it would have prevented it happening in the future. Get a plug socket that grips the sparkplug, they make removing and replacing them so much easier. Much better than using that magnet and avoids cross threading.
He said cylinder 1, but removed coil pack on 4. Unless Renault number the cylinders in reverse?
Who on earth designed something so poor! unbelievable
What a terrible design, lets make a servicable part as difficult as possible to service, why they feel the need to hide the plugs away beats me, crumbs you never had that issue on the old Pinto Engines 🙂
9 times out of 10 it is a coil pack on Renault engines.
I burned out at least 2 on an old Mégane coupe these led to catalictic converter failure.
Used lots of coils on my scenic, Used to buy them 4 at a time 🙄
Different set-up on the clio it appears 😮
