- We were lucky enough to have a mk7 Transit Van for spare parts so we needed the drivers door. Let's remove the old one and fit one from the scrap Transit van.

totally different to my transit door just a 17mm socket on mine but a pain adjusting hinges to line door up tho but no wiring in my door but i do have opening quarter lights
I'd have whizzed the starter motor and alternator as spares, EGR and maybe even the injectors. Don't need a pop rivet gun, just use a large self tapping screw in it's place.

Does seem a bit unusual the way Jimmy has bugger all to say when you and the rest could talk the legs off a donkey 😊👍🇮🇪
I would have swapped the lock barrels from the doors. That way Jimmy's original keys would still work on the doner red door. Maybe you did but didnt film it?
Jimmy's door had the lock removed.
So now if/when the battery dies on the van the key fob wont work then you have the fun job of having to open the bonnet and attaching jump leads to the terminal inside the engine bay with high hopes that they are actually linked up or not corroded too much to use. Or if the key fob completely stops working you've got to break into the van by taking the glass out. I would personally go through and change the door lock barrel to the same as the ignition and bonnet just so you don't have a chew on in the future. (Probably easier just buying new locks all around it and coding the key with a scanner)
