Damaging pads is my biggest fear with these, the pads on these old smd boards, including Amigas, are very fragile. I'm not sure how people go around advising the 'twist and pull' method, I cringe at the thought of it, i'm glad you don't do it that way lol.. , have you tried using another power adaptor? it might not be getting enough current? Nice job on replacing the capacitors. i hope you fix the issue with the Gamegear.
Same,they are very fragile especially when partially corroded.I know lol i cant look when folk do that.Thats a good idea i will try that never thought of that thanks :)
@@Pixel_Fix I know I cringe so badly at the twist and pull method lol... Another thing you could try if another AC adaptor doesnt work, is try powering it via batteries. might be just something in the AC power circuitry thats gone a bit off... Not a problem, good video 🙂

Did you try adjusting the contrast and volume controls before you messed with it?
Yeah .. there was no sound atall and the contrast made no difference to the screen.
