or you can take the 2nd o-ring from the floating piston and put it next to the other one. Then use a new 3mm o-ring for the piston, which will make a better seal with that one as it's slightly thicker and won't completely vanish into the groove ...
Why could you not have just screwed the I-let off of the shock shaft, used the original mounting hardware on the top of the shock and mounted it right back in the original configuration? Wow.
Because the stock shocks are such garbage the every bit oil leaks out within hours and offer no dampening. There's a huge difference of running smoothness with the new shocks.
@@everydayrc1783 do you recall the length difference? I'd rather remove the plastic end and not bend the shock absorber mount. Should I buy 102mm rather than the 92mm or would 112mm be better?
Actually, if you change to good 3mm o-rings & spacer, the original damper works just fine!

Legend! I was wondering how to mount shocks with a ball at each end onto my P407 and now I know :)
Nice video. I upgraded my shocks so and moved the steering servo to the front.

What weight shock oil did you use great video thanx for sharing and yes the stock shocks on a hgp407 are complete garbage thanx Tim
Can we use shock mount on that too???
Did you remove any leaf springs ?
No leafs removed. But i did remove the springs from new shocks as to just use the dampening.
I was thinking of bending the shock posts. And after seeing this. Il do it. Cheers.
What tires are those?
A pretty good cheap knock off set from Amazon.

Well...no offense but there is almost no difference to see . :D Why not reduce the spring force or use thicker oil??

Can’t you just remove the plastic end and slip it in the original housing
Could have but it would have shortened the stance as the stock shocks have a longer shaft.
