Shoreham Fishing Frenzy: Windy Adventures and Reel Success Catching Fish

  • Sea fishing trip to Shoreham East Arm before the storm arrived.
Massive tide fished from 8 in the morning till 6 in the evening and all of us caught.
I tried out my new Penn 525 mag 4's for the first time and was really impressed with them.
Very windy NW blowing but sea relatively calm. We fished the tide all the way up and then back out again needing 7 and 8 ounce weights to stop us being dragged round onto the wall.
Baits used were fresh and frozen lug with squid and sandeel.
Keith lost a decent Ray as he reeled it up the wall and we all caught plaice the biggest at 34 cms.
Rob was the overall winner on the day.

Paul great stuff as always you do. Just to remind you as we have text b4. I went to hospital with pains ended up bowel blocked steve u have cancer. Op 1 took out u still have cancer. Stoma 2nd op op no cancer. Stitched me up. 3 days later checked staples bowel hanging out. 6 months in hospital sepsis got covid very bad ventilated 2 weeks. As covid could not see my kids 8 years old. Went through he'll mate. I know this is a long story. But the moral of this is you are gonna deal with every thing. When u done ramsgate pier I text you and u made my 4 years meaningful u even said you would meet me. I showed misses and kids that. They see a massive difference in me for that small gesture. You are a very special man your vids are different from the rest. When I say Paul's on misses and kids run in and watch. Ur stuff is great. Sorry for the long talk but wanted you to know u do touch people. I hope we can fish together one day. U are a star.😮

You are bang on about braid just could not get on with it and did persevere with several brands but it was running the risk of spoiling my fishing. Gone back to what I know best, mono with multipliers and no level winds. Should have figured it out sooner but like all things fishing it’s about experimenting and experience.

@@SeaFishingWithPaul It's a beach rod Paul. Way too powerful for the fishing I do. So I stick to my Zzippys.

    • @SeaFishingWithPaul
      @SeaFishingWithPaul  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ian,
Nice part of the country and you have many choices😃
First thing tackle shop the Anglers Den in Pevensey across the road from the beach are really helpful and have fantastic bait well priced.
They are open 7 days and open at 7.30am in morning.
Two brothers run it and they are top blokes.
      Three beaches to chose from:
If tide is out and you want deeper water then Eastbourne park in sovereign car park and fish Langney point all species being caught from plaice to smooth hound and rays.
Next beach is Pevensey itself and park in sea road car park Sandy gently sloping beach with shingle. Park and turn right to avoid swimmers etc.
Bait can be dug here on a big tide.
      Loads of razor clams here.
Next further along the coast is Norman’s bay but you need to get there early to park on road which is the coast road and if you drive from Pevensey just as houses stop there is parking and a gate with gravel road going to beach then turns left
Anywhere along this beach Sandy and shallow with few snags. High tide and a few hours either side venue. Thorn backs hang around here so fish baits and worms would work.
Good luck and be interested to hear how you get on. Would have joined you but am in Poland cheers 🍻 enjoy the break and fingers crossed 🤞 🎣🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠🐠
