Thank you, Motor Boat & Yachting, for the excellent review! We’d like to highlight that all flybridge driver seats on T37-T46, including this boat, come equipped with swivel chairs as standard.
My friend Michael was asking the same. We are rather looking forward to viewing this model in a showroom.
Arguably, one of the best boat reviews I've seen. Alex clearly knows what he is talking about and his attention to detail is excellent. A thoroughly enjoyable and informative review. Keep 'em coming lads and lasses! 11/10
Targa has done it again, and is leading the competition of others like her once again. She is flexible in her moves that her owner of her. Practical, secure, good movability around the boat for people and safety is designed into her. Social cockpit, great access to engine room. Nice fly bridge very versatile. The salon is is well planned for people needs, comfortable looking and I love all the teak. Cabins well planned for where they are, lots of storage.
Targa has excelled herself, again well done. Great review Alex thank you.
Fell in love with this boat at the Boat Show... that spacious aft cabi. Of them all, Targa, Sargo, Botnia, NordStar, etc., this is a nudge ahead of the rest of the pack.
Just a great review, Alex. You did much justice to such a gorgeous and purposeful boat; if only all reviews could be so thorough and include a full sea trial. Bravo Zula.
Pretty much my ideal boat.
Love it!
Great review Alex, keep them coming.
An excellent review and what a superb boat. Very practical and just love its well thought out design and that lovely teak 👍
That is a great boat, really nice layout and flow to it, great finishes and equipment levels. Great video Alex thank you.
Great review. Your passion shone through, and you're right.
Best Targa I've seen, most livable and usable, and a real head turner 👍
Great tour and test Alex……… cracking boat 🎉
Not flash but oozing quality and, regarding the flybridge………. that to me, is a flybridge, if not a bit on the large side…….. Being old, and raised in the era of Moonrakers and the like, a flybridge was merely an elevated roof top perch for the driver to get some wind in the hair…..😊 Sometimes you’d get a couple of perches for company…….. Nowadays, the flybridge has become a whole added deck space…….. making a lot of modern boats look top heavy in my view.
The Targa, as you say, is tall cabined, but still pleasing to the eye in a purposeful sort of way…….. it wouldn’t look out of place with chequered sides and PATROL slapped down it…… plenty of grunt, although I would go IPS and a generator………
Cheers Alex 🙂🇬🇧
Great tour of a wonderful boat. I hope there is one to see at a Fall USA boat show. Really well-thought out, much more sociable than some of the somewhat austere Targa-class boats. I love the hinged driving console -- can't imagine why that has never been copied by mainstream boat builders.
After watching this I simply can’t understand why Yacht manufacturers put the helm seat so far away from the wheel? This is the 1st one I’ve seen that looks like a genuinely comfortable driving position! Really enjoyed this tour, fantastic boat.
Always great to see these boats being used on the water, love it ❤️🇬🇧
Fantastic presentation. Thoroughly usable boat.
Correction, you CAN turn the flybridge seat around. Botnia Marin told a friend it doed work, you missed it somehow. Fear not, we all do mistakes.
Suoerb review - so in depth - excellent content
Great review :)
This is certainly a well thought out design and very little to criticise, I think the comment about the bridge helm seat was a fair one as it would seem relatively simple in practice to fit a seat that swivels around when required. There’s certainly a lot of options and that shows a good degree of flexibility. I think a generator and electric cooker might the preferred choice of many and a cleaner option too. I don’t think you would want to add much else to this fairly solid design. It certainly ticks a lot of boxes and it deserves to succeed.
Thank you for your comment! We want to clarify that all flybridge driver seats on models T37-T46, including this boat, come equipped with swivel chairs as standard.
@@Targaboatsofficial I didn’t know that as I was under the impression it was fitted with a fixed seat. Maybe it was either a misunderstanding or a case of the person doing the video wasn’t aware of it.
❤ I WANT A TARGA SO BAD 🎉 awesome boats
I want one of these things, but it should be more oriented towards practical adventure exploration.
There should be less focus on luxury and more on extended time off the grid, with room for six or so to fish, skin dive, spearfish, and go island camping off the northeast coast of Australia.
Targa has the market cornered on TH-cam videos.
I love the way you can IMAGINE 7 people sleeping onboard... they've got to be best friends and or HORNY, Hehehe 😂
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
Fabulous boat.
beast
Drives well on a flat sea!!
Lovely boat - but you see a lot of hull flares on American boats. It's an odd European tread to use very plumb bows. Maybe they are best in the Med?
Targas have always been my favourite little boat but they could at some point put some modern touches.
Heresy! Blasphemy! Sedition!
I agree. Outdated.
Did you say you were 6'0 tall ? Hmm 🤔
Outrageous! I am 5ft 11 and three quarters. It's a curse of all the Smith men that we fall a quarter of an inch short of the 6ft mark. But for the sake of brevity (if not ego) it's gotta be fair to round that up!
Range?
About 340-360 miles at between 20 and 25 knots.
She would make a good live aboard 😊
Not really. Not much space inside for its size, small water and holding tanks, stern drive or ips. Almost nowhere to store stuff. There are far better choices for a live aboard
They won’t allow grandpa’s fishing boat in the Med. Take that to Amity Island and look for sharks.
Is the TV a Finlux? Garbage if so.
The little shower is a bidet one.
The reviews of Finlux put them (depending on model) from average to okay, and will certainly be adequate for the task and setting on a boat. Not that it will likely get used. Nick from Aquaholic had a TV installed on his boat and he only used it once (the first day he had it). After that he hasn't touched it since.
I don't want to keep watching the beginning of your videos operating the boat. If the camera was showing outside and where you're going YEAH ! but it is stuck on some old guy ! I want to see all of the boat...UNSUBSCRIBED....
