To become the Land Rover Defender of the water it will have some serious goals to meet: First, it will need to only successfully start 40% of the time; then, once running, the charging system will have to work 40% of the time at best; then, in the unlikely event of a successful start and a fully functioning charging system, the cooling system and engine lubrication system would need to both be fully functioning. The chances of those factors coming into alignment more than twice in its lifetime would be a stupendous achievement. Couple that feat with a hull only a mother could love and you have the perfect recipe for the successful parting of wealthy people from their money. Job well done!
I’m a aluminum head here, so glad somebody decided to build in this material for a center console boat, now Mr Yachtway tell Lekker to build a 54 footer with dual row seating . Another great video brother 👌👍
if it was me buying this boat I would want the outboard engine package on it and i got to say it was a lot bigger in the cabin than i thought it would be. cant wait for the next video because it has me wondering which boat you will show us next
The boat is truly exceptional, particularly in its robust construction and overall aesthetic appeal. While I am highly satisfied with its design, there is one aspect that I might consider altering: the anchoring system. In my opinion, it seems overly complicated and potentially prone to failure. If a simpler and more robust system could be implemented, it would significantly enhance the boat's functionality. The engines, however, are more than adequate in terms of power, and I would certainly opt for this configuration, especially when paired with a sea-keeper stabilizer. This combination would provide a smooth and stable ride, even in challenging waters. I am also intrigued by the possibility of a future model with at least 5 inches more headroom, as this would greatly improve comfort and usability. However, my true interest lies in the larger variants of this boat, such as the 55-foot or 60-foot models, which feature a small galley. These larger boats would allow for extended stays on board, making them ideal for those who wish to spend several days at sea. In summary, the current model is outstanding, but with a few tweaks and the addition of more headroom, it could be even more appealing. The larger models, with their enhanced amenities, would offer the ultimate boating experience for those seeking comfort and versatility.
Great tour, but I dont understand the use of a day boat for rugged seas? is this the equivalent to a defender that never sees an inch of offroading? Sign of the times I guess...
Regarding the sleeping inside - you can lower the table to the level of the seats, and than use it to "connect" the seats as a big and atypical "bed"...
I love your reviews; this is a nice vessel, however I’m writing the first time to ask you the Name & Brand of those Orange and Black Sun Glasses you are eating in this video. I know it’s strange, but they are very elegant
Thank you for watching and great suggestion but you can already do that on YachtWay.com for the vessels that have 3D tours with the listings. You just click on measurement tool to measure any space on the boat. Hope that helps
Lekker can be said in relation to food. If the food is lekker, the food is good. If you are asked to have a beer, you can respond with "lekker" meaning, yes please perfect timing. It can also be used for nice or "lekker" weather. And the list goes on. I think what you mean is "gezellig", not the same.
You could. Ot put these on a superyacht. Even pushing fuel to the other side for counter ballast, the weight would exceed a cranes max weight. If you got 2 crNes, you would get a tremendous Mount of sway amd would destroy a crane quickly. The only yacht that could lift this is the CdM Flexplorer. I'd you ever reached out to me, I could have told y o u that.
Its a nice boat, but still a lot of things to improve. Is there storage under the seats? It would be helpfull if there would be storage where you can store your shoes, towels etc. The tables on a 1.5 million dollar boat look the same as tables on a 5k boat. Poles for the biminis, but where to store the bimini and poles? Should be easy acces. Probably much more, so to say its an ultimate yacht, hell no as the price is way to much for what you get.
Beautiful vessels, so good that they have gone for Aluminium construction, these are anywhere boats, and being Dutch I can vouch for their quality, I drove dutch build commecial vessels for 10 + years, brilliant builds, and very well thought out for the crews., I would love one of those in 60ft, with a more livable space below, something you wouldn't mind spending a week on around the Med or Bahamas, dream on, well done Lekker, as they say in the maritime and offshore industries, if it ain't Dutch, it ain't much !!!!!!!!!
@@yachtway No worries, great video, good to see you steaming down the Government cut full speed, I used to run a few different vessels out of Miami back in the early 2000,s, been in and out of there a few times, brought back some good memories 👍👍
Yes,, those “rugged” “off road” 200k dollar g wagons that will never spend a day in an environment where a scratch is even possible from the environment let alone the need for ruggedness Vast Majority of G wagons have never even left the payment
Yeah. Adventure STYLE. Nothing else is rugged and practical on these boat. Not worrying that somebody’s scratch your paint ??? It’s a painted aluminum boat.
Hola.
Amazingly Brilliant & Superb! Please confirm if the Lekker 44 is a diesel- electric hybrid driven boat? What is the cost of such a magnificent boat? I need two of these at my place now! Greetings from Madang, Papua New Guinea!

You have won the title of the funniest comment to date!
Botnia Targa has "Land Rover of the sea" title for last 50 years. Don't try to get this day boat that title😂
Nice looking boat, love the big platform

Great tip - thank you very much for watching!
aluminum - a natural Cathode in salt water 😢😂
This is a bad ass boat, great job
Thank you for watching once again Chris!
💯 dude.

Thank you for watching ! Something Bigger next week 😅
Love this rugged machine 💪🏻
Right there with ya !
With an open deck and bow it can never be described as rugged.
If it’s the handover defender then it’ll break down for sure

Hey we know a guy with one of those. 👏 Great presentation!
Thank you Denison for watching - great boat and we are sure that guy is enjoying it 🙂
Dat is lekker, een boot met de naam lekker.
If your rubbers, tack, fenders and rails are getting beat up you don’t need a different boat you need a different captain
Great review
Thank you for watching
AWEWSOME!!! It'd be great in GUAM, U.S.A.
Guam isn't in the USA🤔
Lekker lekker
Sorry could not resist
😅
The tasty boat!
6:28 Device for removing corks from your beer. Later, it becomes a can opener. 🍻
Sorry but the Land Rovers in the sea are the Targa boats. In a storm, that big tub in the bow probably fills up very quickly.
I love your reviews; this is a nice vessel, however I’m writing the first time to ask you the Name & Brand of those Orange and Black Sun Glasses you are eating in this video. I know it’s strange, but they are very elegant
Hi there, thank you for watching your first YachtWay Spotlight!
Heigo is wearing Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses in this episode
it would be always nice to get the dimensions of beds and sun lounger - some people are taller and would appreciate that...

Can you do vanquish vq70 pleaseee🙏❤️
Thank you for watching VQ70 coming this October
Does it breakdown a lot?
If I’m not mistaken, lekker is the Dutch word for lovely. Think they been smoking something

nice and rugged.....on your socks😄
Was he an extra in Weekend at Bernie’s?
No, but he is the lead actor in the sequel once it comes out
Land Cruiser sir. A defender may not take you back home. Wonder how far out you can take this boat?
If it's the Land Rover, it's gonna be broke down more than you can use it. Seriously?

Well how should I tell you... my boat is lek, but yours is lekker and that is something you don't want

A "Land Rover Defender of the Seas" is a sunken submarine.
I see hardly hand holds. Nice in harbor but I don’t think I’d want to cruise open ocean on it.
You'll be too drunk to worry about anything at all

Whistlindiesel tested the g wagon, it held up ok
Don’t know if it was a misspelling, but I am sure that many g-Wagons never leave the „payment“ as well as the pavement.

Both boats are no „Land rovers“. Just lifestyle pieces.

We are ready for the chellenge 😎
Nouw explain what lekker means..............
Too bad it has the Amsterdam 3 crosses all over .
Land Rover defender? Unreliable like all Rovers
Land Cruiser please
I like the boat but you need to work on your haircut bro

Thank you for watching, the 44 inboard is diesel powered and you can find pricing information on YachtWay.con
Super boat. But Interieur stupid bad
G Wagon Defender ??? Stick to boats
Land rovers suck
No it's not......Far from it. Botnia Targa 46 would destroy this boat in serious sea's. This is simply a Tender boat.
Gayest Defender ever seen.
Worst presentation ever. Nice boat.
Most important that you like the boat: Yours truly- the presenter.
