Love the fact that you give us a whole slow-speed manoeuvring section - I can't think of any other videos that do this and it's invaluable for really understanding the ownership experience. Much appreciated Jack!
Thanks so much for showing the docking process! Particularly for an inexperienced sailor like me, it’s rewarding to see, learn, and understand the kind of attention and movement it requires.
What a boat! fantastic review and tour as always Jack - I actually really enjoyed the parts where you were crewing the boat, fenders, lines etc and talking us through what you were doing. could maybe film a short series on "how to" seamanship around the basics. I would find this very interesting as a boating novice looking to spend more time on the water!
Great boat test Jack, covered all the bases really well. Even a bit of eloquence when describing the handling of the Targa 41. Really terrific boat, tough yet comfortable, quick and capable.
Not just a great review - a little docking lesson tossed in for free. This is one of the boats I'd really think about if I get that winning ticket. You're not just reviewing yachts and helping that industry but helping lotteries all over the world. Considering the odds of lotteries - worst gambling you can do - your odds at roulette or craps are way much better - picking a good career and making some honest cash would be easier and have much better of odds of getting a boat.
Great video. So many boat videos in which the boat never moves So good to see a video where you get some idea how a boat might handle when you a puking your breakfast over the side More of these please
08:00 there is a locking pin at the top of the door (above your head) to stop the door sliding in multiple locking places. (At least there is on the 46)
Great tour, Jack, and what a lovely boat. Concur with the side boarding gate location. Nice to see the marina berthing, that will alleviate some peoples fears. 👍👍👍.
That is a nice boat, nice layout and finishes. That is a great lesson on how to dock single handed, I would not like to try that especially the turn to get in the marina. Great video Jack thank you.
For me everything of this style gets compared to the Sargo 45 video and this beats it, for me this would be an ideal explorer. A saying I like is there's no such thing as bad weather only inappropriate clothing, this targa 41 is the do all appropriate clothing, perfect. Thanks YB 👏👏👏👏❤️🇬🇧
Brilliant review of a very impressive boat. Love this design of boat and this or a rival will certainly be on my shopping list for our next boat. Great marina handling too Jack - that doesn’t look like an easy marina to manoeuvre around!!
Great review Jack. You should come wave hunting with me, i never flipping fail to find them, sadly...🤦🏻♂️ Well done on first drive into a very tricky reverse mooring 👍

Speedy ability type of lady, nippy round curves. On the Fly bridge, wind in your hair, as she carved her way through the waves that you found. Love it "Targery" is the new word for a Targa 41 flying across the sea. She a Jack H boat thats for 😃 sure. A Formula 1 racing type of boat. Sturdy, stylish paint work, practical exterior. The interior love the galley area. Nice owner cabin with the teak, reasonable storage. Lovely aft cabin with useful storage and use of the day head wet room. Good size engine room which is useful as you can see the whole area. Good owner occupiers boat, for day and weekend trips. Traga done good.😊
Another great video Jack, thanks. Going forward it would be really good if you could give actual dimensions of the beds, this is of particular interest to us big blokes and the only reviewers to do this are Boattest, so please try and give us this info, thanks.

Nice review! As if I didn’t have enough already to consider?? And can we chat about that marina for a quick sec? I mean, is that can opener marine? I’ve never seen a marina make a 41’ boat look like a super yacht? Geez?🙄
Well handled Jack. It is a very tight marina in Poole. Perhaps another upgrade is a reversing camera, or even better a 360° system. It really is a cracking little boat though. 👍
Great review Jack. Having an old 35ft Nimbus which i mostly single hand it's great to see those close quarter skills in action. Very interesting with your comments regarding the lack of Sky dock and similar systems. In a different wind, that mooring procedure could be a whole different ball game! Prepping the boat, well in advance of channel lanes is my go to, and I always set up a midship line on both sides, just in case something changes (other boats usually appear just when you don't want them to and do exactly the opposite to your wishes!) and you have to dock on a different side! An extremely capable, functional single handed boat. Great review of its qualities Jack, and i agree, a starboard entry gate by the side door would be a real bonus. I'm not sure the side deck is wide enough for an in-swinging bulwark door though. And an out-swinging one would be useless - if the dock is high!😂 So probably a different engineering solution required!👍👍
I have never experienced the boat such as this (I love targas since my first boat magazine, when I was a kid). And I am wondering, are boats as this one noticeably better in bed weather / waves than same size or a bit bigger sport cruisers? 😀
