Most of my reels are daiwa ,I haven't had any problems great reels they can handle any condition ,any water and daiwa always comes out with great looking reels they work as good as they look 😎🤙🏽
Nick, thanks for your review. In the past 36 years, I've used many Daiwa and Shimano reels. In my opinion, both are equal in terms of quality and performance. They are really the best!! Try thanks again ☺️
HLC reels normally struggle with anything under 1/2, they are for long bombing especially, they basically have a Magforce Z spool but a crazy stiff spring that keeps the magnet from slowing the spool. I am sure there would be a replacement spool, but the forums have shown this one to be for heavier lures. Had to sell my Steez A, made me very sad. Had a tick develop very early on and TackleTrap had to fix it. Was a cheap fix but took forever to get parts and the reel was tight afterwards, little too tight. I felt the new Zillion was a superior reel so I sold the Steez A. Used the funds to try a higher end Shimano and got a 100HG 2021 Conquest because I have never had a round reel.
@@jeffreylenz7314 It was a washer. Took TackleTrap forever to get it in, not their fault though. It was the washer/shim at the end of the levelwind. Not sure which side, I sold the box with the reel once fixed.
Holy sh.... This for your first baitcaster?!? More power to you bud, but to appreciate a fine wine pu need to know what some boons farm and 2 buck chuck taste like. At least go get a lews lfs, shimano slx, abu revo x, or even a h2o express tac 40 (on sale for 50 bucks) to have a baseline. All those reels arent bad at all too.
@@ETuss713I completely agree. I’ve been using a bait caster for years and I’m just now up to a $80 abu. Definitely want to upgrade one day tho. This reel is looking sick
@@TygerByte NO you can NOT. JDM-price is lower that US or EU price. I tell you this reel steez A HLC is sold (average) 500€ but can be found in EU Tackle-shops for less than 450€. (6.1/7.1 or 8.1). JDM tackle-shop sell it for LESS than 400€ Including Shipping to your door. The ZILLION sv tw 1000 xhl is sold for 400€(average) in EU Tackle-shops. Do the math for yourself. ZILLION 1000 for 1/3 of the price gets me at 150-175€ ,..........WHERE can i order one??
At one point, I was getting Curado K 200s for under 150. Bullet proof, super smooth, micro module gears. And for 180, still a bargain.now they offer the 300,200,70,the BFS, the MGL, and 150DC. They're not the lightest, but they're lights enough, 4 years later, still smooth as butter. Amazing reels. The Steez is the better reel. It's also 2.5 x more expensive and It's not even close when you figure value.
Beautiful but a little small for my type of trophy striper fishing. I need a prorex or lexa with 25-30 lb of drag for tough river monsters. This is a bass reel.
Did you see the new 22 Daiwa stzctsv70h steezs ct sv 30 mm sv spool compact 70-size 90mm handle 13 bearings 5.3oz 7.1 8.1 now here is the good part about the reel y’all ready for it $729.99 🧐🤔😮
Nick tell me why I ordered everything you got in that box without even watching this vid first. Fookin crazy! Even the braid. I know you like Verivas braid. But can u tell us a little something about the G5 braid. Thank you for the upload. Love that Drag Sound
$363 ain't bad for a steez Also, carbon fiber grips are cool-looking but overrated, Idk about these in particular but all the ones I've ever felt are smooth to the touch, which completely defeats the purpose of a "grip".
Just my opinion, if you're casting further than 25-30 yards, your not as accurate putting a lure where you want and you're doing it all wrong!! If you are bank fishing and super long casts may be needed, get a top end Ambassadeur. I'm sure that Daiwa is really sweet but there are so many other reels at half price or less that will do absolutely everything you need done. This opinion comes from a lifelong Daiwa user. Prices have just gotten so far out of hand that you get nothing but marketing sell points and nothing anymore advanced. It is what it is!!
I asked Nick opinion thru Instagram and he never replied. He is not obligated, but I did no receive his support regarding a question of this specific baitcaster. I received the steez A HLC some weeks ago. I also have a steez Sv tw. The difference in quality is huge. I would not recommend this reel for the price it's now in internet. Spend a bit more and get a Sv tw. My humble advice.

I paired up my Quantum reels with Diawawa rods real happy with them was looking to get a reel to match thanks for the review
Nice! Good luck with your set up.

Thanks Dennis. I agree with you, both brands are top notch.
I own both flagship Cast/Spinning Reels from Daiwa and Shimano…… Daiwa all day. 10/10…….. Shimano comes close with a 9.5/10.
Which one is better in casting? the steez tw hlc or the steeze sv tw? Thanks!

I have it in my bucket list!! jejeje. I haven´t try Daiwa yet,but I know that is a good brand. Thanks for you video. Regards from Monterrey Mexico.
Lol will be something I’ll never know what it’s like to use 😂 400 bucks I could never. Thanks for showing it
👍
You answered my most important question, does it have a clicker drag? Thanks
Just bought one.. Waiting on it to arrive..
Hope you enjoy it!
I need to know do you think it would work on 7ft 4in st Croix rod ?
How does the Steez HLC compare to the Zillion HLC? In your opinion looking for a Carolina Rig Reel. Thank you in advance 🍺 🎣
I got the same man, what did u find out?
@@RedGalaxyFishbone I haven't found anyone that has done a comprehensive comparison yet... 🍺🎣
@@ShaneJMcNair no indeed, all I see is bfs. But I want to know a reel for rigs.. 1/8th of a ounce to 1/2
2 1/2 months later curious if you are still using this reel? Pros/Cons?? Thanks
Love your show brother
Very nice…just getting started on baitcast. This looks like a reel I may be ordering. Thanks for the information.
It’ll be a hell of a first baitcast reel for you.

Which one is the latest? And which one would you prefer? The steez sv tw or the steez tw hlc
I ordered a Steez SV TW 1016SV-SH I hope it’s a good one too
Love these reel reviews, Nick. Would thoroughly enjoy seeing more.
Thanks bro. I will make more of these videos. You can count on that.
How is that pit bull line? Do you prefer it over the Varivas?
It’s ok. Varivas is supreme in my opinion.
I have same one I've got a ? do u have the bearings after ever use it seem like if I don't it wont cast as good
How long does it take to get it from Japan? Is the shipping time worth saving the 25 bucks?
You should have got the Steez TW SV 1000S(shallow edition) instead.
That Daiwa and old 18 rod looks so good?
Yes it does indeed
I’m going get on I’m trying to change the gear ⚙️ to brass gear looking eBay for brass parts to put in it steeze A hlc
Sweet!
What best Diwa for long cast and anti backlash .. with clicker?
Alll just oick
Hola como es el lanze de señuelos de 4 gramos con ese carrete no me gusta el bfs pero tengo señuelos de 4 hasta 30 gramos , me podrias orientar amigo
Steez vs zillion? Steez is the better reel?
You are using a JDM version, how do you get it service? Sending to Japan?
Probably a great reel, but too expensive for me

I like the 21 Zillion SV TW. It performs like a steez for 1/3 the price.

If that's all you can afford maybe.
Have you had any problems ordering from Digitaka, thinking about ordering 2 or 3 reels from them, Thanks
No sir. The best in the business. Just let them know you seen my channel in the notes when placing your order. They might expedite your shipping 🙌

Will you wade with this reel? Looks awesome! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely! With it being magsealed, it’s one of your best options for max protection when wade fishing.

In the steezs reel you got a ct sv and you got a sv tw what is the difference between them reels Damn old 18 hooked you up with them rods
Differences would be spool size, overall weight size and the applications you can use the reel for.
Will you sell your whiplash factory casting rod? I know you are going to be using the new old 18 rods
Send me an email.

I can attest that the carbon fiber grip has a good mix of smoothness and grip.
Isn’t carbons main purpose more sensitivity?
@RX Angler Interesting- even when wet?
Have you ever had to pay duty(tax) on order from Digitaka?
No
I love my zillions too much already. If I try one of those I’ll go broke
Zillion has a clicker thinking of getting one but of this two witch one less chance back lash
Definitely a sexy reel. Will be the next reel I get. 🤪🤙🏽
I was just thinking that I need to upgrade to some saltwater ready reels.
That’s a great idea 💯
