Love that you used the ultra light. It was my favorite way to fish inshore when lived in Clearwater fl

Awesome awesome vid as usual. Conservationist! Picking up the trash other people leave behind way to be a great role model and love the bfs fights on those reds.

Should’ve probably mentioned the steez a hlc is only designed to throw 3/4 oz and above baits and requires a hard cast for the brakes to work properly. Anything less in weight it’s wild,

Hlc is hyper long cast i believe. But could be wrong it has a deeper spool than the original steez a.

I love my Suppressors (light and UL). They are a little expensive so I’ve got some Hollow Points for heavier duty.

Is there a big difference between the new HCL and the older 2017 model? Debating if it’s worth spending more on the new one or if the older model will be just as good. Lightest lures I throw are probably 2/5 oz. Does it feel better in hand or the same?

They're based on the same body and platform. Steez HLC has the newer style Daiwa handle knobs and it also has a drag clicker. The regular Steez A nor Steez HLC do not have an SV spool. The Steez SV TW is even more expensive than the HLC. The HLC is made for throwing 1/2 oz or heavier lures according to Daiwa's JP Website. It has the Magforce Z Boost braking system which is a magnetic but also partially centrifugal system that is made for longer casting. I think it's like what the new 2021 Zillion has too with the SV Boost system but this is supposed to be even better. The tatula elite has the Magforce Z system but not the additional Boost monicker, so probably similar but the Steez having the slightly better option. I think the HLC is definitely worth the extra $50 over the Steez A, I bought a 6.3L model for throwing cranks and chatterbaits as far as I can and slowly cranking them in. So far so good!
