Good stuff. After a great experience buying my metanium, zillion, and verivas 8 from digi, I'm looking at the GekkaBijin. I almost struggle to find a need for it though. Both the zillion and metanium throw 1/16th trout thumper or jig heads just fine.
@@BigDirtDawg this will be long... depends on what Im doing with it. Currently I have my metanium on a 6'5" Sarge Wingman rod (Med power). I use that rod for topwaters, corkies, and some bigger twitch baits or soft plastics. The reason for that is it cast the 1/4 oz and up stuff amazing. Very little to no adjustment is needed with heavier lures. Not the case with lighter stuff. When I drop down to 1/16 oz or 1/8 oz jig head or lure it requires much more tuning and still doesn't do as well as it does with heavier lures. I have the zillion on a L action 7' old 18 suppressor rod. The zillion is great at throwing 1/8 oz spoons, 1/16 jigs heads or weightless plastics. I can also throw heavier lures without having to make many adjustments. With the zillion on the Sarge Med power rod it throws the heavier lures almost as well as the metanium. So the Zillion is better casting lighter lures, almost as good at heavier lures, very smooth drag, smooth reeling feel, but not as comfortable in hand as the metanium. The metanium is better with heavier lures, finicky when adjusting to throw lighter lures, smooth drag, very refined reeling feel, feels better in hand. A reel that I would put in consideration with those 2, the Curado 150mgl. It throws light lures as good as the zillion. It throws heavy lures almost as good as the metanium. Drag is smooth. Feels very similar to the metanium in hand. It reels very smooth. It doesn't feel as perfectly refined as the metanium or have a drag clicker like the zillion, but it has more breaking than the metanium and is only a few 10th of an oz heavier than either other reel. I have the curado 150 mgl on my Laguna Trident and that is my goto, not leaving home with out combo.
@@ETuss713 zillion it is. Thank you, i just want to fish from light to heavy without making a 1000 BS adjustments. I’ve heard several times now the zillion is better reel for that. I throw a lot of lighter texas rigs here in florida. I like to throw weightless soft plastic like that

What makes a baitcast reel better than a spinning reel or what makes a spinning reel better than a baitcast reel how do you choose what is better
Baitcast is more accurate, faster and more convenient. Spinning casts further, easier to use, and more versatile.

Great videos as always I’m a fan and my question is
How thick is 1.2 pe JDM LINE compared to American market 8 strand braids like berkley x9?
1.2 PE is .185mm equivalent to 30lb X9, but Japanese market measures by diameter rather than breaking strength.
That was definitely a cownose ray
