Killer Joe Official Trailer #1 (2012) - William Friedkin Movie HD
When 22-year-old Chris (Emile Hirsch) finds himself in debt to a drug lord, he hires a hit man to dispatch his mother, whose $50,000 life insurance policy benefits his sister Dottie (Juno Temple). Chris finds Joe Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), a creepy, crazy Dallas cop who moonlights as a contract killer. When Chris can't pay Joe upfront, Joe sets his sight on Dottie as collateral for the job. The contract killer and his hostage develop an unusual bond. Like from a modern-day, twisted fairy tale, "Killer Joe" Cooper becomes the prince to Dottie's Cinderella. Based on the play by Pulitzer and Tony Award winner Tracy Letts, "Killer Joe" is a garish, proactive black comedy from Academy Award-winning director William Friedkin (The Exorcist, The French Connection) and stars Emile Hirsch, Matthew McConaughey, Juno Temple, Thomas Hayden Church, and Gina Gershon. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
This is not just a simple Neo Noir thriller,,, it is one of the greatest, sickest movies you'll ever see
Never look at a chicken leg the same!
@@s_1408 haha i took my kids to KFC at the weekend and this movie popped in my head as i watched this woman on the table across eating. She looked very similar to her loll
“You’re gonna kill somebody, Dad? You can’t even tell time!” What rock did these people crawl out from under…what a perfect cast…
We want more NC-17 movie trailers on the list.
What a movie to say the least. 20 minutes into this film I was ready to pack it up and forget it as quick as I could. Just mean characters all around. But the acting was convincing enough for me to stick around and stomach how despicable these character are. The whole movie plays like a real life Addams Family thriller. There's never a dull moment in this film and seems to consistently out due how over the top the whole premise is with each unfolding scene. And just when you are on the edge to see how this might all play it out, it raises all the stakes in what I consider one of the most powerful movie endings in all of cinema.
I’m watching this film bcoz of this comment
I'm so glad you moved back to Texas. Home is where your Heart ❤️ is!
Funny...all I remember is...
Gershon carpet.
Fried chicken.
The defunct theme park.
@@ghostman5620 Definitely fried chicken... hehe
This movie was so sick ! Mcconaughey was killing it around this time
This was one of Friedkin's best. A Country Fried Noir.
This movie has late 90s and begining 2000s aura. I love it ❤
That's because it is intuitive. The trailer, storyboard, dialogue, pacing, camera shots, oh yeah. All in one bringing out the feeling to the audience rather than viewing. It's pitch perfect. :3
Not at all to be honest. Pure post millenium, which doesn't mean it's bad.
because the writer and director william friedkin is an old school guy
Incredible Acting By Mathew as the Bad Guy in this Film !
This was a good movie! Definitely worth watching.
I've seen a lot of crazy ass movies in my time. (BTW I love crazy ass movies) This is one of the best ! Matthew McConaughey back around 2011 did this. It's much better than most people realize.
hands down.
If you like crazy movies, watch Cheap Thrills with Ethan Embry.
So glad I went into this wild ride of a movie blind. This trailer reveals too much.
I'd put this as a quite possibly the film of the decade. I haven't seen a film so intense yet so bleakly funny in decades.
❤🙏🏼 R.I.P William Friedkin
Joe beats the hell out of Chris with that can of pumpkin pie filling🤣
i love this film but it had one of the most craziest bizarre ending ive ever seen lol
lol seriously bru that was intense and insane lol
it was sick and i dont look a mathew the same after @@davidpage968
I like the ending but.....Why didnt Dottie kill joe!?!?!?!
Syco Fire Maybe she did. I want to see a part 2. See if they go out like Bonnie and Clyde. Or a crazy family with a baby.
If u like this u r. Pedophilia
why does mathew whistle every time he pronounces an “s” sound lol
It appears the verdict is in after reading all the positive reviews.
I guess I'll be heading over to Tubi
so I can watch it for myself. 😁
It was like someone mixed the Fargo, the Spun and the My Name is Earl tv series together. I also appriciate the cinematography.... A hidden gem!
Damn excellent description. "SPUN" is sadly almost unknown.
Talk about a trailer that spoils the whole movie...
+remsensor TM That's right my friend !
No it doesn't. The trailer makes the movie look good.
@@fritzidler9871 Not spoil in the sense of rotten. Spoil in the sense that it revealed too many details on how the story progresses.
was thinking the same thing lol
thankfully I saw your comment before I watched the trailer
MASTERPIECE that MOVIE!
Great, atmospheric, disturbing yet darkly funny noir-thriller. Now, I’m a finish my fried chicken before I barf all over my iPhone screen.
this trailer pretty much reveals the biggest twist in the film
It's the film in Cliff Notes version
I'm glad McCanaughey is taking more gritty hard ass roles. Always thought it was a shame he got type cast in goofy romantic comedies
U r a. PE
Ye man I also like him like that
He was really good in Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Next Generation
you can always count on Friedkin
haven't seen NC-17 in a while
alright..alright..alright..
This movie is much much much more than alright! Thank you Matthew 👏🇺🇲🏎️🇱🇷
Me too it wasn't just surprising but shocking & good!!
Killer Joe (2011) Matthew McConaughey as Joe. Also in the cast are Emile Hirsch, Thomas Haden Church, Gina Gershon and Juno Temple in their supporting roles.
Thanks
Such a frickin crazy good suspenseful movie
Facts.
It’s so cool to see young Juno Temple. She has definitely improved her acting since this and has an incredible performance in Ted Lasso
What a wild ride! Believe it or not, but movies like this were reasonably mainstream in the 90s though (think of directors like Oliver Stone, David Lynch, the Cohen brothers, Tarantino, Verhoeven etc).
The rated R version was only available to be sold in public retailers.
This is a crazy movie it is a must see
Looks awesome.
Wow, surprisingly looks good.
I cant look at drumsticks the same after watching this. I'm all thighs now
I feel ya.
This was a damn good movie. That ending
That makes sense, I wonder if the nc-17 rating is coming back, since Shame got some good publicity with that rating by calling it a badge of honor.
O-O This looks violent as hell!!!!
Joe Cooper is played by Matthew McConaughey....OH NO!
Such a weird movie! The ending killed me! If u haven’t seen it go do it
wooooo! This seems like a good movie :D
This is one weird movie from the start to the end I just watched it on Tubi TV
Same, just watched it before they take it off Tubi and im just appalled
The killer Joe perfect character .
You'll never look at a chicken drumstick the same again...
KFC will be off the menu for a least a week maybe two.
I think it’s been off the menu for years for everyone😂 Popeyes and chick fil a took over
“Suck it”
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol yeah that was gross 😂
K-Fried-C
Damn you be right.
I loveeeee such movies. These dark & sick movies w a tinge of comedy, small town stories. Plissss suggest me some 😭
In Bruges, Freeway (1996)
Blue Velvet has small town , some humour and psychopath villain
Awww poor Chris :(
???
I watched The Newton Boys (1998) trailer right after this.
good one
Sadly... they pussed out by not keeping the NC-17 for home video
Seen this about 20 times lol Kids just gone to bed so watching it for the 21st time. So dark, so brilliant! Chicken drumstick anyone?
That scene was so powerful 🔪
Suck on it
When you realise Matthew McConaughey is also called Joe Cooper in Interstellar
Best movie ever!
Tobey Starburst you serious? I remember being stoked on the trailer but being disappointed with the movie!
looks good ay.
At one hour into the movie, the underside of a car has black pipe for propane. Watch it. Too funny. I laughed my balls off.
okay.. done watching the movie. it was stupid. but eh ...
Well I think i knew what Lyle is doing after George of the Jungle
The trailer doesn't do this movie justice.
From the director of The Hunted!
Hell. Yea.
everything sounds cool if you put it before the name joe: tomato joe, fantastic joe, killer joe,...
0:37 holy shiiiitttt you can see right through
This was almost as good as Human Centipede
"this is my third comment"
Matthew is the only reason I kept watching..lol
"Dougie like a brother" Jody Anne Welch Brecht
Great movie but really twisted at the end
Awesum movie.. the chicken leg scene was way off the ground!!!
This movie is really something
Why NC-17 ?? I want a Red-Band Trailer goddamit!
William Friedkin is going all Coen Brothers on this shizzit.
What a way to go out on top. This movie will one day be discovered. Cult classic to say the least.
That's not a trailer but the whole movie
I need Mathew to be more villainous
Only if they deem it necessary to get on Wal-Mart shelves.
This movie is great
Don’t forgot the kfc when watching this one
Folks don't have a problem with nudity in this movie that's for sure lol!!, aside from that this is one roller coaster as the stomach turns throw mama from the train 2 sickening piece of work I've ever seen, when i saw it i first thought something on the lines of Tarantino but this is definitely out there.
Just watched this movie on Tubi and the ending was very odd. You will be pissed once you get to the ending.
I know but I love it
I wasn't pissed. I want them to make a part 2!!
I wonder why this got an nc-17 rating?
The chicken bj scene
The unrated version of this is the rated r version and I got that
Emily Evans that makes no sense?!
Who likes fried chicken!?
Alex18ace Me! But I’m not blowing a chicken leg!
Gina Gershon is still hot!
Was this release with a NC-17 rating in theater's in 2012?
yes
this was one of the most squalid films i have ever seen. An excellent actor i.e. Matthew Mc. totally demeaned himself.
Doug Carter wrong. This is his greatest performance and what made him a star
I dk why yall hate on Matthew so much. Hes a top tier Actor
Don't watch dramatic thrillers.
Why this is nc-17? Because the ending of the movie is pretty real, the violence that is. go figure. and the beginning of planing to kill the mom
Who would like to say grace ? Not me !!
The play is better
Anyone who watches this movie deserves it.
Best comment.
everyone below and above me is not the same person as i am.
I hope to see a part 2. She doesn’t kill him but possibly almost does. Kinda like a crazy Micky and Mallory. Or a Rob Zombie movie similar to the devils rejects. Evil ☠️ Crazy movie!
I'd like to believe that she did
I liked him but he deserved to die
I almost thought that he loved her but the moment she stood up to pack her bag, he snapped at her and was so assertive towards her that my hopes cane crashing down 🔪
Woah... that ending 🤯 wtf just happened 🥴🥴
Juno Temple!
This movie only caught my attention because of the NC-17 rating, and I gotta say... I think I've seen R rated movies that were more graphic than this. Kinda odd.
It's NC-17 because of the themes and nudity, not the graphic content lmao.
@@HaloDude557 lmao, sure. i guess it's more appropriate for an under 17 year old to see a guy get his face smashed in with a jar than it is to see naked bodies.
Looks like a good film but god, don't know if I can stomach Matthew McConaughey!
looks legit
Benny Golson
Shame Friedkin had to die and this was his last film. A film condemned and ostracised because of a damn age rating (NC-17). Maybe that's what killed him?
A little bit like BLOOD SIMPLE.
i thought this was hilarious and interesting 😭
I wanna say it is a contemporary masterpiece depicting white American trash. A real Adams Family Thriller.
Hey that's the British girl from Ted Lasso...
Wow that's pretty graphic actually. I wonder when/if i see the movie if that scene will fit well or just be pointless
