It's amazing he gained 400 000 kg for his role as the sandworm in Dune. Mad respect
He should really consider making a video explaining how he lost 399,932 kg in only 230 days!!! Very inspirational 🥰😊😊
Apparently (true story) he gained the weight because his research indicated that birds eat worms. His first thought? A bird couldn't possibly eat a 400 000kg worm! When Christian arrived on set, he was surprised and slightly disheartened that there were no birds to be found. Undeterred, Mr. Bale proceeded to give a performance of a lifetime (which, in worm-years, is up to nine years).

Brilliant comparison
I wanna be like Tim Duncan, where tf is Tim Duncan?!
"No thanks, bro!"
Christian is the king of method acting, hands down. The sheer dedication he puts into practically becoming most of his characters (e.g. Bateman & Trevor) is truly awe inspiring.
He and Michael Fassbinder are in line to inherit DDL's mantle.
Daniel Day Lewis is above them all
Pauly shore in Bio Dome might have been the same character he played in everything , aka Pauly Shore. That doesnt make him any worse, in fact Id take the weasel over daniel day lewis any day
Definitely not the King, but very close to the throne.
Let us not forget Daniel Day Lewis or Gary Coleman... there are a few terrific methods actors
He is such a likable person, and getting better every time. His performance in le Mans is captivating
watching this interview made me want to rewatch American Psycho. his determination to play that role gave me newfound admiration for this film
Impressive. Now let's see Paul Allen's breakdown of his most iconic characters
I can assure you his watermark is awful this time.
Sabrina don't just stare at it, eat it.
man, the humility to say, "yeah after Batman, directors were a little more likely to consider me for roles" what a legend. and his persistence with American Psycho is truly aspirational.

Christian Bale Says Hollywood (and the World) Would Be Better If ‘White Dudes’ Weren’t in Charge of Everything The actor says there would be "so much better films and so much more interesting stories" if white dudes weren't running Hollywood. Zack Sharf Dec 19, 2017

I was like "man that is a VERY understated way to say 'I was catapulted to the very top of the A-list'"
i remember after Terminator Salvation and his rant, a lot of people called him a psycho and a shithead for doing that...but actually if you think about how seriously and concentrated Bale takes his craft, i can kind of understand why he flipped out. Yeah could he have handled it better, probably. But i also don't fault him as much as I did before
The explanations he gives for why he does things a certain way all make so much sense. It's what you'd want your university professors explanations to be like.
one of my favorite actors. very talented great movies
I bet Bale doesn't even remember doing 'Howl's Moving Castle' but I'll always have the softest spot in my heart for him for Howl alone
"That's my girl"
~Batman
Yes, me too! He made Howl all the more charming!
Yes, it was amazing and fantastic his beautiful expressive voice! I wonder if he still remembers. It would be cool for him to talk about it.
He definitely remembers. He loves Studio Ghibli movies. After he saw Spirited Away, he said he wanted to be in a Ghibli movie, and he would take any role no matter how small, and fortunately he got Howl
Same here ❤ one of my favorites he’s done
It’s truly amazing how Christian was able to transform himself into a young boy in Empire of the Sun. Wow!
Wish they had a laughing emoji for this comment 😆

Yes 🙌🏼 superb talent
Such a phenomenal actor when he played the iconic Batman character, but will be remembered for so much more than that
