90's JDM Car Underbody Chassis Wash & Detail Cleaning - SATISFYING! 😍

My 1990 Nissan Cefiro (2JZ swapped) is 32 years old. Since I've owned it, the car has not had the underbody washed or cleaned, and I'm not sure if the previous owner(s) ever washed it underneath. So in this video, I give the car a nice detail and clean under the chassis. I think it came out looking much better.

Here in Slovenia, there is also one company that deals with this. They use Krown oil, for which they are also an importer. I also took my car for such protection when it was 1 year old. However, they do not wash the chassis, they do not protect the brakes, the exhaust system, the body. They also protect hollow body parts. I still intend to take him to this kind of protection.

They masked out the calipers but not the discs. Then he sprayed the discs when he was priming the gun. Usually you don't want to do that. And hopefully it won't be a problem for you but rubberised undercoats are notorious for accelerating rust when applied to any surface other than a brand new one. Voids end up occurring between the coating and the metal or paint surface. This is made worse on previously rusted surfaces that have pitting, as they have much more surface area to them.
The best way to protect a vehicle like this is to go with a non-curing coating such as lanolin or a heavy lube oil. Ironically, the vehicle was better protected by the underbody grease that existed before than it is with the current rubberised coating.

I am just about to get back to where my new job is in Asia and buy a Cefiro so this is also what I want to do nice to see if or where any leaks come from especially if brake fluid as it's so corrosive. I really like your plate that cover the sump and front area is that custom or a off the shelf item. Your car looks sweet as what was the protection called or a link to see how far this place is away from where I am.

Thanks man, appreciate it. The front plastic panel I custom cut myself. It's thick ABS plastic (3mm thick) and cut to size. As for this shop, its in Bangkok. There's over a dozen different shops in Bangkok that provide this same service, but I just went to the one that was closest to my home. You're in Malaysia right? Better off finding a shop there.

Hi, the car is garage kept and the exterior gets washed 1-2 times per month. Should look the same underneath.

@@weebshit1048 I've never heard that. Not sure why you would need to do that if you're racing a car. It would make more sense if the car was in an accident of some sort, or if there was any visible chassis damage.

It's a A31 rear subframe, but not stock. Upgraded bushings, tie rods, camber arms, R32 GTR axels and diff.

@Dean BKK he isn't exactly wrong even if he is a dick about it, if it was just sprayed over rust it will cause long term issues but as the video said about Thailands weather it likely didn't have much anyway but keep an eye on it and do a check each year but people do exaggerate how bad it can be
