You guys are crushing the production quality, edits are on point too. Can’t wait to see how the channel evolves. Will be getting a Tesla Model Y in blue soon.
Thank you! That’s really encouraging to hear and we’re super stoked to share more content with everyone. We have lots of the things planned :) Also, congratulations! That’s very exciting!
Just came across your videos today and have watched four of them. I've been on "TH-cam University" studying all the EV options for a month or so. Nothing seems to compare to the Model Y or any Tesla for that matter and I am ready to test drive and order within the next few months. Your videos are succinct, helpful and easy to follow. Thanks for your channel! One more thing ~ the videos of the checklist on delivery plus the one on accessories you need for the Y were super helpful. When I finally own the car I will feel better prepared and knowledgeable!! thanks again.
Jason and Sophie, your videos have really inspired me to make the decision to get the Model Y. At first I was on the edge of the Y and 3, but now I am confident I made the right choice. Thanks so much for your videos!!!
We ordered matte black hubcaps that has the same aerodynamic design. Check out our video about it! th-cam.com/video/7M4yhComtTo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Z1i3z-QCV6Z1rLDs
Well, I have a few reasons for wanting to purchase. I'm what you would call 'a senior' and I want a car that is easy to get in and out of. I also want a hatchback for easy loading without bending my back. I can run it on cheap rate overnight tariff at about $0.11 per kWh (£0.09/kWh over here) - that's a fraction of our ICE fuel costs. Insurance is a concern but then I drive reasonably high performance cars and have always had a clean licence. It's kinder to the planet. Maintenance costs are lower - no oil changes, brakes only need minimal attention etc. What I don't like is the intention to remove stalk controls - very bad idea on our roundabouts - makes correct signalling next to impossible. That could turn out to be a deal breaker. Rather a pity.
@@bobuk5722 These are all very good reasons! I agree, I have some concerns about the newer models that are being produced. We'll see how Tesla ends up playing their cards, but I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
Did your MY come with HW4 or HW3? I’m trying to decide if I should make the leap to the MYLR but I also want the MYLR to have the HW4. Or should I wait until 2024, but also don’t want to lose the tax credits if they become unavailable for the MYLR. Thank you & I enjoy your videos!
Great question! Currently all the new 2023 MY comes with HW4. I know the 2024 will also come with HW4. We were more compelled to get the current MY instead of waiting for the 2024 MY because of the substantial 2023 EV tax credit and the existing stalks. We wish you all the best in your choice!
@@JED_HDWe’re talking about Tesla’s Hardware 3 and Hardware 4 because they are different. Hardware 4 - FSD Computer 2 + New Sensors. While Hardware 3 was all about the computing power of the FSD Computer, Hardware 4 not only includes a significant update to the FSD Computer, but the HW4 specs also include the entire sensor suite.
This cost analysis overlooks a few things. In my Mammoth condo, electricity is 40c/kWh, so the fuel cost of a MY in the snow for 6 months is higher than a RAV4. To install a 240V 40A line is $2,000 and I need home owners insurance with $1,000,000 coverage, $900/year, so over 8 years that's $9,200. At the end of 8 years, the MY drive train warranty expires so it becomes worthless, so you have $40,000+ depreciation, whereas the RAV4 will go on running for many years.
This is a great cost analysis! I think it is situational for each owner. For us, we plan to drive this potentially past the warranty, but by then we’d probably get a newer model and sell the current one for close to the same price as it is now. Obviously there will be some depreciation, but MY hold their value well while they still have the warranty. We are thankful enough that we haven’t had to pay for any charging so far. So for us, this has been such a great financial decision and great product!

Glad you enjoyed the video! 100% agree, can't go back now.

Thank you. Very professional and informative 👏🤙
Glad you found it helpful!
You can get a discounted model ordered directly from tesla with less than 4k down payment and a total no more than 20 grand with a ref code.
@@a.ctlyzer That's a helpful thing to point out!
I already bought one. Just waiting on delivery.
Congrats man! Welcome to the Tesla fam.
Professional video 🎉
Thank you!
Does Tesla take trade ins of other cars ?
Yes they do!
I'm skeptical on getting a Telsa vehicle, because of the battery range decreases in cold and hot weather.
That’s a valid concern. It depends on what you value the most in the end.
Another awesome video. Sophie, you have the perfect voice for the voiceover and these videos!
We’re glad your enjoying our videos! Aw, I appreciate that! 😊

Just plasti dip the silver parts. Fun fact, on the Model Y prototypes the aero covers were full black.
@@boostav That’s a good idea. What type of paint would u use. I’m concerned it might rub off or not be durable enough for rain and dirt.

What's "HW"?

The MY doesn’t become worthless you goofy
because it's the rav4 of our time
That makes sense.
