I went from a 2019 Fremont M3P to a 2022 Shanghai LR Model Y - love it so much, and I really loved my M3P!
The quality is easily as good as my previous BMW/VW cars and combined with the world class Tesla tech/efficiency - best car on the road IMO

The accelerating noise is present in the rimac nevera too, I find it extremely satisfying on electric cars even though it's probably artificially made
I think it's a legitimate motor noise, I have a BMW i3 where you can drive with the covers off the motor, so the sound can be heard inside the car and it sounds just like that. As you say, very satisfying :)

First Tesla channel I ever watched and in no small part why I ended up with a brand new model 3 in 2021. Great to see you back. I was tempted to switch to a Y for the bigger boot space and easier to get in and out of when they briefly offered the FSD transfer. But only being offered 30k for my 2 year old model 3 that cost me 57k made it not worth the switch. If they do that offer again in 2 years i'll probably jump at it.
Glad to hear! Yeh I’m in the same boat, I said transfer FSD, keep Supercharger mile rewards and offer the 0% tax again id be switching, otherwise It’s not quite worth it yet imo

Good seeing you back again! I prefer the model 3 based on the price and looks.
All of the features mentioned are the same as the model 3s built from 2022 onwards including the double glazing, better cameras, heated seats and steering wheel etc, although the Model Y's come with a BIO-hazard filter that the 3 doesn't have, there is a very noticeable difference in standing acceleration between the Model Y, most noticeable in the base RWD versions but none are particularly slow.
Good to see you back fella... And impeccable timing too. When I got my model 3 in 2019 watched your channel... And I'm now looking at getting model Y LR... And lo and behold you're back!
Nice and welcome back too! Is there anything stopping you upgrading? Personally it’s the non transferable FSD & supercharger miles, not to mention the trade in estimates are lower than I’d of liked 😅😮💨
@@TeslaDriverTypically I wrote "not" instead of "now" ... making it completely different meaning lol 😂[Edited]. So I now have my new Y - about 3 weeks old and just under 1k miles on the clock. Really really impressed with the quality vs my 2019 M3. So much more improved and feels much more solid. Cabin is that much quieter. Having no USS's is something of a backward step IMO. Though the High Fidelity parking that came out the other week is a welcome improvement. The range is that little bit better too - 330 odd miles assumed vs 280 (Originally 300) in the M3. Towbar still waits to get some bike rack action.

If the vehicle has red around the cameras, or an extra blank camera in the windscreen, they are new V4 cameras.
Tesla also rolled-out an update for the V3 and increased the clarity to all the existing cars.

@@TeslaDriver I absolutely love mine, I'd give it 8 out of 10, the software isn't the best. Lane keep assist is awful lol, I have to turn it off every time I start the car!
Basic autopilot does NOT have autopark.
Crazy, should be included imo
Even with USS you also need enhanced autopilot or FSD to have auto park
Nice review. This is my favourite Tesla at present time, fast but so practical and the performance pack adds a lot of nice features.
The rattle is probably the seat belt nocking against the side of the passenger seat. Used to do that on my Model 3, took me a while to work out what it was.
wow a new video, whoop whoop :-) So I have the MY LR, my 1st EV, got it in November, i preferred this over the performance as its more comfortable, the 0-60 wasnt a huge difference, 4.7secs is still really quick. The rattle on the left hand side, i thought it was the door card but it was the seat belt buckle on the plastic back of the passanger seat. I love the space, the huge windscreen. Autopilot doesnt have lane change, thats the enhanced paid extra. Not a fan of the teslavision, it thinks a dropped kerb is an obstruction so screams at me when i reverse onto my drive.
Thanks for the comment! Yeh seems it was the seatbelt, makes sense and can be fixed by plugging in or a little clip to hold it back. I agree and wouldn’t go performance again, I rarely use the full power and my wife uses chill mode anyway 😴 I was surprised with the parking vision, it made me worried at the end as was red and warning when I still had a way to reverse, hopefully will be fixed with an update
I got a new 2023 M3P and managed to get my FSD transferred. So now there’s no summon or autopark and the UNECE regs have ruined changing lanes or exiting the motorway. The car is a massive improvement on my old one though as you have found. You should try Fords Blue Cruise now legal on the UK motorways with hands free!!

I enjoyed your annual upload. If I lived in the UK (I'm in western Canada where everything is very spread out), I'd want an EV, and the features of the Tesla Model Y would put it near the top of my wish list.

The rattle is the passenger seatbelt buckle on the lower B pillar trim.
Good vid but I’m a bit surprised that for an established channel called ‘Tesla Driver’ you’re not a bit more up to speed with the different levels of autopilot!
You can have the MY with white interior and white dash! Strill attracts 2%BIK so the only issue for you is the loss of your supercharging miles! argh!
The cameras had a software update to make them look better and not have that tint on them. When the upgrade then to hardware 4 the cameras would look even better

The reverse noise is a EU requirement that came just to effect for newer cars to warm pedestrians

I wonder this too, it may be a geolock, it may be easier to test it in another country around America that doesn’t allow FSD? Does Canada allow it?

Yeh now I’ve seen the redesign model 3 the redesign model y must be close, that said I don’t like the revised model 3 more than the old model 3, looks less aggressive :S

How can you watch a whole video and that be the thing you want to talk about? 😂 I was turning left at the roundabout, if he pulled out how would I go left? Very dangerous to stop on a dual carriage way and flash him out, hes clearly waiting for 2 free lanes as he needs to pull wide out, finally he had tonnes of time before me if he was in a rush… I don’t think even he cared as much as you seem to about it. Hope you enjoyed the rest of the drive ✌🏽

You do have to encourage it most times to undertake but sometimes it just goes for it, I think it’s speed dependent but not 100% sure
A new car with rattles, would drive me crazy! But what do you expect with Cheaply buily Chinese cars. Isn't that the pre face lift one, the's a new model 3 Chinese edition orders just opened for.
Yeh deliveries for new m3 is January in the Uk, I’ll defo try get one for launch and give it a spin! Rattle may have been the seatbelt, needs a restraint or to be plugged in I think

Or if you won't buy a LHD X, a test drive would be valuable.
0% BIC was offered previously but now they don’t offer that, also 0% financing but now it’s like 8% - LHD is fine in a tall car like the X but my wife will say no way 😂👍🏽
