Nice none biased video so fed up with all these other TH-cam channels filled with Tesla "FANBOYS " hype about Tesla like it's the ONLY EV and only perfect car . I saw a video of a Montrealer in Canada 🇨🇦his Tesla wouldn't start and wouldn't charge even inside his garage and neither did a loaner Tesla .
As for Tesla or any EV have no desire to buy as everything is way too expensive and no long term reliability data especially for cold weather driving or battery life .. Too much computerized crap everytime you need to use touchscreen computer for changing gears to opening gloves. And too much PROPRIETARY you can only go to Tesla for most minor to major repairs and maintenance and repairs cost a fortune and so will insurance
Tesla's are actually not proven to be more safe. they actually have more accidents than ice vehicles. which is why the average monthly insurance rate for them is $100 above most ice vehicles.
definitely felt like a hugely biased video. the supercharger point should have been a con. even if there are a ton, they are in no way convenient when compared to using a ICE vehicle and stopping at gas stations on a road trip.
Cons: No cooled seats, no 360 view, headlights don’t automatically turn on with windshield wipers, distance to service center, rims curb rash easily, lots of Tesla haters, cost of FSD, homelink optional and expensive, suspension (ride) tuning poor, higher insurance cost. And the worst Con of all, once you drive a Tesla, you’ll never drive anything else.

If you haven't had the opportunity, test drive one if you have a dealer in your area. I've always driven a manual and have a 22 Camaro. I enjoy driving my Y, especially after a long work day. I'm thoroughly impressed with this vehicle and glad I made the jump to electric.
@Oryo101 I'm a car girl. I like my Camaro which is pure engine, the sound makes my heart skip a beat, it's a 6-speed manual, and sheer American muscle. Then I have my quiet Tesla which is a computer on wheels that smokes 🚬 the average car like a cigar. I like each vehicle for different reasons.
Reasons to own a car with an internal combustion engine: -Time to gas up is 10 mins. or less -Replacing a bad battery may only costs up to $250.00 -More gasoline stations exist (& are easily accessible) from LA to Vegas. -I'd rather own a hybrid than a fully electrical vehicle in case the battery to the electric motor goes dead, I can still rely on the gasoline engine to run without that motor.
Counters: -never have to gas up if plugged in over night -Tesla doesn’t need the lead acid battery that you are talking about -LA to Vegas is an important distance because? (Gambling can be a bad habit and waste you lots of money) -in that case it would be better off to just ride Ubers, taxis, or public transportation because lemons are a thing, no matter the manufacturer
I love my Tesla Model 3 but the biggest con for me is not having a 360 view camera! I missit so much and now have trouble parking not having that feature that I am use to.
Ride quality is not that good compared to other cars in its class. The suspension is quite firm - both on the Long Range and Performance. The wheels & tires don’t make much of a difference. You feel every bump & imperfection on the Model Y and Model 3.
Expensive registration and insurance. And, if you buy insurance from Tesla, they monitor your driving, and adjust their rates monthly rate. No more driving after 10 pm, etc.
Yup Tesla insurance is the worst. Many opt for it because it’s initially cheaper but Tesla Insurance significantly raises premiums even for safe drivers. There are a lot of posts on Reddit and X where users share their experiences, explaining in detail how their rates increased without any apparent reason.
I would by an EV if it met these : 1- no toxic byproducts from making batteries 2 - no battery degradation in cold weather 3-500 mile range 4 - regular steering wheel, instrumentation cluster in front of driver ,gear shift lever in normal place where you find manual gearshift ,HVAC controls 3 big round bezzel switches , 5- computer touch screen for GPS mapping and reverse camera 6 - DIESEL ELECTRIC hybrid would be fantastic . 7- new battery charging technology battery charges from 0% to100% in 10 minutes instead of hours 8- safety seats and seat belts like fighter pilots have 9 auto safety pilot computer and camera detect driver unconscious drive vehicle to safe spot call EMS

Not having a spare wheel in the back. Still amazed on that.

Most all electric cars for some reason never have a spare…..not really sure why.
It’s a new thing for new cars. Many new cars don’t have spare wheel again

What about not having parking sensors as a con?
Agree, it's a shame they removed it.
I would say it’s temporarily a con since Tesla will release an update in the future that will enable the cameras to measure distance
