no one has mentioned this, but the car keys, the sleeping bag, the Nintendo DS... All Missing... That's not the worse part. That Playboy was missing, along with the Maxim magazine, which was addressed to Shane Kocks... Most of the the blood covered tissues were gone too. There's also quite a few bags missing from the garbage can.... Everything with possible DNA, was gone... This was someone covering their tracks... On top of that... Kocks, supposedly gave Jeff food... Gee, where did those out of date sausages, and Drinks go? No one was going to use those, unless they're stupid, and want food poisoning. They would have had fingerprints though... There is too much shit about this, that makes it seem like a cover up for murder... Did you take the journal? Did the cops take the Journal?

If you notice in the first video hanging up was a black bag tied up.. and if you look closely it was damp from something inside the bag. In this video it’s gone/taken. It’s very interesting to me and I believe you have enough evidence to take it into the police. This video is also a year old so idk abut the update of this.
I noticed that too and in a later clip, it looked like the black bag was torn up on the floor beside that wood table. I also wonder if any of those names carved in the walls of the other little house, are missing people as well. Maybe they’ve seen or met Jeff out there...maybe talked to him. The orange bag that was hanging by the door EWU went in the first time is gone as well. Going by the vomit bucket id assume he was very ill before he died but with it being in the middle of nowhere nevada i cant imagine why they would burn his stuff. I think foul play is involved at least to some degree, maybe not directly in his death but someone probably robbed him before he died since no wallet was found to my knowledge and so that's probably why he didn't even have any over the counter antibiotics or anything to help with any illness he had other than over the counter painkillers. Whoever took the wallet likely took the car too but without the keys so they hot wired it, seeing as how the keys were still there but no vehicle in the area.

Barrel in the mine looks exactly like the one in the old telco building. Clothing burned. Sleeping bag too? The selective burn is odd. Something is not right.
My gut feeling is someone from the police department did the burning after they reported their findings. Would explain why the police didnt bother to look into it.
Could be stuff that the ("killer") has been in contact with. Stuff that could contain his or her DNA, that is. Could also be just a "campfire" for someone strange enough to spend a cold night in there.
I think this poor old guy was murdered. Think about it all that blood from the first video and all his stuff left behind. His clothes, car keys stuff like that. And then they came back and all that stuff was destroyed

Not a lot of people decide one day out of the blue to leave their life behind and wander aimlessly and alone in the desert, and sleeping and eating in a nasty place I wouldn't even want to drop a deuce in. From his journal it looked like many of the days were probably miserable and not even worth writing anything but the date. Why would one decide to do that if they weren't running from something pretty severe?

I can tell you that he tied the cord around the knob wasn't just a coincidence it was a sign of panic there were bullets shot through the front door so for him to watch for his self he would have to tie around the back door I think the bleeding was from getting penetrated from one of the shots and I do believe that you've run across a murder scene and that the people that were trying to burn stuff are the people that are responsible for his death I don't think they wanted him there just like they don't want you...js

Didn't he say the bullet holes were fired from the inside? It is not possible, without being there in person, to examine the holes in order to try and determine how old they are, regardless of which direction they were going. I think that tying the shut instead of nailing a board across it, like the other door, could serve multiple purposes. It is feasible that it would make an excellent darkroom. There is a container on the near the right front leg of the table. It looks like it could charcoal lighter fluid. But he doesn't identify what it is. I have some doubts about the darkroom theory. I think initially there would have been evidence of the chemicals needed, empty containers at least, there would be no reason to dispose them any different than the trash. Plus, you would need pans in which to place the pictures, in order to develop them. It is also possible that they were fastidious, as a result of the subjects involved. Another theory about the bloody cloths. It could simply be that he was very ill. The kind of both ends sick. I think the most likely reason the door was tied shut was because it was an emergency exit. If he was being harassed &/or threatened, having only one way in and out would be tactical suicide. Untying the door would be quieter than ripping boards off. I think the reason he chose that building was because it could be secured. The other building was wooden, it had to many openings to be able to secure it. It would have taken alot of material and some pretty specific tools, in order to accomplish it. The walls inside would not hold up to even minor use of force. It could also actually burned to the ground literally. I think at some point he did enter the building, maybe first, maybe later. I do think the, Jeff 2015, written on the wall was written by Jeff Kirkwood. It's sort of like signing a visitor log book. I think he was to smart to actually consider that building. I saw no signs of his eating anything. If it was him who left the water bottles with the things inside them, it seems he would have something if he spent any time there (sleeping, etc.) it didn't appear that any effort was made to create a surface to sleep on. He would also be vulnerable to the insects and snakes in the area. Guarantee that his body heat would have been a magnet for snakes at the least. He did probably scope it out for resources. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I think he was probably injured either "naturally" (unlikely) or someone shot him (or stabbed), and he was suffering from those injuries. Where did they find his body? did he go there to die or did someone take his body there after he died? too many questions!

In this retired Mine Inspector's opinion these are Fire Assay or Ore Roasting Buildings, you can tell by the Exhaust Vent plus the interior walls and floor will have soot staining on everything in the Assay Room. WARNING These buildings can be very toxic especially if Uranium Ore was Tested or Roasted there. In that part of the country I would advise you get a Geiger Counter an 02 or Mine Gas Detector especially for flooded mines as Hydrogen Sulfide and/or other Toxic Gases are often present plus the Water can be Acidic from the Sulfides and can sometimes burn skin or if lucky just a simple rash, best to PH test water before wading in (swimming pool PH test strips are cheap). Be safe and happy exploring, wish I could tag along.
Glad to see you followed up on this. I hope you are taking precautions when you do this. You'd be surprised how many murders and disappearances go unreported and or unsolved. Consider the size of the country and the amount of people who live off the radar with no family connections, people are not as safe as they think they are...Good video's, good job.

I don't know but it seems to me that this "stalker" was involved with whatever happened here. Why would Jeff barricade all the doors in such an isolated place? Why was he scared? I don't think Jeff had a gun, so why the bullet holes in the door right next to a pool of blood? Why would he make a bathroom in the building, when he could easily go outside? It seems he didn't do much of anything outside, fearing what may be waiting to shoot him down. To me Jeff seemed to be terrifed by whatever was out there, thus attempting to stay inside as much he could. He eventually went mad, scribbling pictures that resembled something a caveman would draw. Whoever came back obviously didn't want this place to be found, the magazine either. Why? I think that Jeff may have stumbled across this "stalker's" house, stealing some various supplies along with the magazine belonging to Shane Cox. Shane may have tracked down Jeff and shot him. Jeff survived and was on high alert. Eventully Shane killed him and tried to burn the evidence and magazine with his name on it. But who knows? Just my opinion
I feel like he was held captive and the person that was holding him captive would bring him food and stuff and he was kinda a pervert as you can tell from the porno magazines and all those weird sex toys.

Why would the murderer come back to burn the stuff years later, if he had known Jeff was there. He would have not known about that spot until later. I wonder where the car went. A murderer might have had access to a tow truck or such and removed it, but it makes no sense that they came back to burn cloths after so much time
Crystal S the structure was some sort of processing building for the mining operation, according to one commenter’s observation. He noted some key features in the building that would have some function for processing the mineral they were mining. I have no idea personally, but the comment made sense. Just as likely that Jeff or someone else saw a use for a barrel and brought it down from the mine. Whether it was there originally or brought there, no point in speculating right? Haha. But definitely came from the same lot of barrels.
I wonder if there was some bad stuff going on in that abandoned building by the “stalker”, and that maybe Jeff found it and decided to take shelter there not knowing anyone was using the place for terrible reasons. So maybe when the “stalker” came back he was surprised to see Jeff in there which created an altercation. The clothes line with pins looks as if someone was developing photos in there. Hence everything being taped off to block out the light and why that one door going into that room was tied from the inside so that no one on the outside would open it up and mess up the photo development. I am just hoping someone wasn’t taking abusive pictures of kids out there and then developing it out there since they obviously couldn’t develop the photos somewhere publicly. Then they could sell the photos or what not. So maybe Jeff accidentally stumbled upon this operation. I don’t know. The whole thing is creepy.

This isn’t how a crime scene works. The crime scene is already heavily contaminated before they walk in. Evidenced by the burned evidence all over the floor. Also evidenced in the other video by the absolutely disgusting nature the scene was in when they were there. Alsp it’s pretty simple for them to prove when and where they touched these things so they wouldn’t be contaminating anything. Their finger prints being on these certain things would be justified.
The parts I find most disturbing is the child stuff mixed with the dirty magazines and the other weird stuff like the child like painting. I think something REALLY bad happened here. Think about it, if someone wanted to do something unspeakable like mess with kids, the middle of the desert is ideal because NO ONE can hear the screams. But what leads me to believe that this is the case, look up the FBI definition of "pasta". Pasta was mentioned in that diary 3 times. It was the only thing that stood out as if that was the reason of being out there. Lastly... The blood stains. Those blood stains are very alarming as if something went left and took a turn for the worse. I REALLY hope the police have a sample of it to try to see if it matches any missing children. This is on a new level of disturbing. I think this place was a child trafficking hideout or something. Which explains why it was almost destroyed...
Yeah the guy was murdered I believe and kids were definitely being abused in that place too. Why the hell would there be baby wipes/powder and childlike paintings on the wall along with fetish shit and dirty underwear everywhere... Whatever was going on in that place seems really fucked up. Imo, Jeff was using that hideout not knowing it was being used for sick purposes and he was confronted by the guy(s) who use that place for child trafficking or god knows what...The confrontation turned violent judging by the bullet holes in that door and Jeff being sick anyway wasn't able to fight much and very likely got shot hence all the blood. I think Jeff may have gotten very sick and spent his last days at the telephone switching building delirious and trying to just survive. A severe case of dysentery can kill by dehydration and a person with it would have left the kinds of things you found in the original vid. Including the blood in the bucket.
The symptoms as indicated with your video point to a severe stress set to his abdominal region. The bucket full of blood and waste was a telling point. Amoebic Dysentery can result from impure water supplies or alternately he may have been shot or stabbed. In either case dehydration could lead to delirium and serious disorientation, further exacerbating any physical challenges he may have faced. I think you are correct in assuming that the burning of his clothing was an attempt to cover up the circumstances surrounding his demise.
One of the challenges posed by a survival situation is finding clean water, this is especially true in a desert region. Keeping a personal, high quality, water filtration device is actually a very good idea.
So glad you decided to check this place out again. I am beginning to think that your stalker has something to do with this which is why he is trying to scare you off and I think he went back to destroy evidence or even to look for something specific. It looks like the fire was left to burn the building but it went out instead as he didn't stay to watch it burn. His journal was really fascinating, I got the impression that he was hiding from someone and he was starting to get depressed at being stuck out there as he had no choice. I think he was murdered in the end.
Karen Johansen, I agree, the fire completely burned out as only ashes were left, and I thought it was strange how they burned his vomit bucket too. His journal really did seem to suggest he didn't want to be there, he was stuck and hiding. His truck was out of fuel and had been vandalized and towed. Who would vandalize a new vehicle that has run out of fuel? That's something else that has been bothering me about it too.

I’m hoping everyone here is aware that the word pasta is used in pedophile circles to refer to “little boys”. CAUTION: Myself and my girlfriend were exploring some isolated land in Southern Georgia (Owner's Approval). A man came up asking for drugs or alcohol, when I told him we didn't have any, he immediately hit me in the jaw. I held him at gunpoint (CCW), 'heavy zip-tied' his hands and feet, while my girlfriend drove to call the police (no phone service). He was a felon wanted for aggravated assault! He had been hiding out in the woods, no vehicle too? The fact that Jeff was possibly? living there for months before he died is disturbing enough. I'm thinking desert nights would get pretty chilly, so I could see him moving to the heavier building but that increased his chances of unfriendly people discovering him. Died of poor health or killed, both are plausible.

i think that someone was bringing him the food, medicine, lotion ex; because how else would he get it hes miles away from civilization.. but i do think he was trying to hide from someone. idk the whole story seems sketchy to me.. awesome that your doing this for him and for us all to see!
It looks to me like he was sick and possibly suffering from a GI bleed. The bucket of old vomit next to where he was sleeping and all the bloody tissues etc by toilet. If he had a GI bleed and didn't get it addressed he could die. It would explain his deteriorating penmanship. The guy whose magazines were found there (possibly stolen per comments) probably went back and retrieved anything with his name since its being put out on utube. I'm not sure if he was ever found, interested to find out.
I know this is a year later but I’m from Arkansas and I remember this case coming up. Investigators still to this day ask for any information involving his disappearance and death. Whatever you have from the first video should definitely be turned into Nevada or Arkansas police. The mans name on those papers and magazines has been mentioned quite a bit as I can remember. Lots of conspiracies have been claimed about Jeff but no one will ever know unless investigators can do their job!
THIS is what I was thinking! (Watching this two years late, don't mind me lol) Many things in the building look very sketchy, and of course there could be much more to it, but the tissues looked like they had been specifically used to clean himself after using the restroom in my opinion. It's very suspicious that his clothing was burned and they tried to burn the building down. Could your stalker somehow be involved and is trying to keep you from investigating more clues about Jeff? I don't think it was a coincidence that Jeff/April/2015 was carved into the wall of that other "cabin." I, personally, think it was him.
If someone was burning things to clean up the place, then why not make the fire outside in the gravel road. The indoor fire could have burned down the building.

Did they found the remains out there or somewhere else? For me the abandoned building looks like any other place where homeless people lives. On the first set of pages you photographed, Saturday is rewritten in a way that is not like any other entry, note the loop on the y's especially. At first he wrote in slanted block letters, then changed to cursive for all the remaining entries.

In the one building there was a bunch of names and dates on the walls jeff 2015 peanut 2016 etc... It seems a potential repeat offender could be keeping record of his potential victims to relive the perverse rush they got from each victim as it is a known fact that almost all serial killers like to keep items or writings etc as trophies.
It seems it would be hard to stay hydrated in that area. Perhaps he drank some of that water in that mine if he ended up desperate enough. That water could be dangerous to drink, and that could explain the bloody tissues and the vomit bucket... and he was later found dead. I can't remember the details of his death but perhaps either that water had something to do with it or maybe he died from dehydration. Also, that stalker sounds suspicious... he didn't want you exploring the area, and when you returned to Jeff's place, most of the evidence was destroyed? Seems like he had something to do with Jeff. This is all sooo interesting. I first want to thank you two for being brave enough to go look into this place and get this amazing info because I'd be too chicken to look. But I also along with everyone else have so many questions.. I noticed from the first video, there was a Ton of Safeway bags in the trash barrel, and once you came back in this video, it was tampered with because the Safeway logo was visible before. Also, the sleeping bag was gone, the tarp to get into the room was messed with, the oven was wide open, & there just so happened to be no more magazine under the name of Shane Kocks. I am by no means an expert, but doesn't the handwriting in the journal seem to change dramatically a couple days after his birthday? It goes from block letters to cursive and it seems like many of the letters are in a completely different style than in the earlier entries. Is it possible that someone other than Jeff could have made those entries to throw off the timeline of anyone possibly investigating this case? Compare the letter Y. The loop on the later examples look nothing like the earlier examples. Even in the word Birthday, which is closer to cursive than any of the earlier words, has a letter Y which appears to loop from right to left, whereas the later examples loop from left to right. Also, why are there several examples in the later entries where it appears that someone is practicing how to write the same day of the week? Like I said, I'm not an expert, but this just looks fishy to me. Has this handwriting been Analyzed?

It isn't normal for a person to change their style of writing like that. i wish a person who knows handwriting analysis would look at it. The crazy pasta boxes, you need to check who manufactured them and sold locally. The burnt evidence and smutty mags with address is the clue. I think your first video has all the clues. I looked up the pasta and it goes with some food items that are purposefully made to look sexual. I think Shayne cox was the one distributing sexual items to Jeff since he got his food from him. Where was his car? I never hear that mentioned. His family/friends said in an article that no matter where he went, he would always return home every few weeks even if it was just for a few days to gather more supplies. They said he had traveled to different cities and states just to camp and live off the land but he would always return home. I wonder if having his keys but not his car is the reason why he never went back home.. or maybe he was sick and knew he didnt have a lot of time left so he didn't wanna waste it going home

GrayWolfPup12345 I don't think it's known what his cause of death was, because all it says was that his remains were found so that could mean literally an infinite amount of reasons for why and how he died, I personally don't think he was murdered due to that fact that there was so much blood around the place, so he could have maybe gotten very ill from the food he was eating or maybe shortly after he left civilization he developed a disease or illness that may have caused to start coughing up and throwing up blood

I am late to this comment but my gut feeling is that that the police where involved. They said they reported it to the police and they didnt seem to care about looking into then. Then afterwards they return to find pretty much everything that could be substantial evidence to be burned.........

LB Angel, oh ya. Jeff was hiding from the stalker most likely and he came in and shot him. Jeff was most likely also sick which explains the poop and blood bucket. Then once this guy found out and told authorities the guy came back and burned it all. That stalker guy should be arrested and put upon a jury. Pretty obvious to me. While else would all of his belongings be burned. Honestly this is why I will carry a gun with me everywhere I go. It's a dangerous world.
Interestingly: his last journal date listed was Monday July 27th. From my findings, July 27th fell on a Monday in 2015!! The police should have went to that building to collect evidence. And Shane Kocks needs to be investigated!
I don't give him attention by naming him, but he started attacking, stalking, and causing other personal problems for me after I posted the first Jeff video. I have deleted most of his comments on the videos, but he has admitted to having multiple accounts on TH-cam to harass me. He was connected to the others who supposedly had some connection to Jeff before he went missing and was later found deceased. Those who were around during his posts will know exactly who he is. He has land out there near where Jeff was "camping". He seems to think he can scare me away, but he couldn't be more wrong about that.

That Playboy was missing, along with the Maxim magazine, which was addressed to Shane Kocks... Most of the the blood covered tissues were gone too. There's also quite a few bags missing from the garbage can.... Everything with possible DNA, was gone... This was someone covering their tracks... On top of that... Kocks, supposedly gave Jeff food... Gee, where did those out of date sausages, and Drinks go? No one was going to use those, unless they're stupid, and want food poisoning. If you notice in the first video hanging up was a black bag tied up.. and if you look closely it was damp from something inside the bag. In this video it’s gone/taken. It’s very interesting to me and I believe you have enough evidence to take it into the police. This video is also a year old so idk abut the update of this.

The orange bag that was hanging by the door EWU went in the first time is gone as well. Going by the vomit bucket id assume he was very ill before he died but with it being in the middle of nowhere nevada i cant imagine why they would burn his stuff. I think foul play is involved at least to some degree, maybe not directly in his death but someone probably robbed him before he died since no wallet was found to my knowledge and so that's probably why he didn't even have any over the counter antibiotics or anything to help with any illness he had other than over the counter painkillers. Whoever took the wallet likely took the car too but without the keys so they hot wired it, seeing as how the keys were still there but no vehicle in the area.

I can tell you that he tied the cord around the knob wasn't just a coincidence it was a sign of panic there were bullets shot through the front door so for him to watch for his self he would have to tie around the back door I think the bleeding was from getting penetrated from one of the shots and I do believe that you've run across a murder scene and that the people that were trying to burn stuff are the people that are responsible for his death I don't think they wanted him there just like they don't want you...js
The door that was tied was the bathroom door. Idk about you but I always lock the bathroom door when I use it.

Didn't he say the bullet holes were fired from the inside? It is not possible, without being there in person, to examine the holes in order to try and determine how old they are, regardless of which direction they were going. I think that tying the shut instead of nailing a board across it, like the other door, could serve multiple purposes. It is feasible that it would make an excellent darkroom. There is a container on the near the right front leg of the table. It looks like it could charcoal lighter fluid. But he doesn't identify what it is. I have some doubts about the darkroom theory. I think initially there would have been evidence of the chemicals needed, empty containers at least, there would be no reason to dispose them any different than the trash. Plus, you would need pans in which to place the pictures, in order to develop them. It is also possible that they were fastidious, as a result of the subjects involved. Another theory about the bloody cloths. It could simply be that he was very ill. The kind of both ends sick. I think the most likely reason the door was tied shut was because it was an emergency exit. If he was being harassed &/or threatened, having only one way in and out would be tactical suicide. Untying the door would be quieter than ripping boards off. I think the reason he chose that building was because it could be secured. The other building was wooden, it had to many openings to be able to secure it. It would have taken alot of material and some pretty specific tools, in order to accomplish it. The walls inside would not hold up to even minor use of force. It could also actually burned to the ground literally. I think at some point he did enter the building, maybe first, maybe later. I do think the, Jeff 2015, written on the wall was written by Jeff Kirkwood. It's sort of like signing a visitor log book. I think he was to smart to actually consider that building. I saw no signs of his eating anything. If it was him who left the water bottles with the things inside them, it seems he would have something if he spent any time there (sleeping, etc.) it didn't appear that any effort was made to create a surface to sleep on. He would also be vulnerable to the insects and snakes in the area. Guarantee that his body heat would have been a magnet for snakes at the least. He did probably scope it out for resources. Just my thoughts on the matter.

I think he was probably injured either "naturally" (unlikely) or someone shot him (or stabbed), and he was suffering from those injuries. Where did they find his body? did he go there to die or did someone take his body there after he died? too many questions!

In this retired Mine Inspector's opinion these are Fire Assay or Ore Roasting Buildings, you can tell by the Exhaust Vent plus the interior walls and floor will have soot staining on everything in the Assay Room. WARNING These buildings can be very toxic especially if Uranium Ore was Tested or Roasted there. In that part of the country I would advise you get a Geiger Counter an 02 or Mine Gas Detector especially for flooded mines as Hydrogen Sulfide and/or other Toxic Gases are often present plus the Water can be Acidic from the Sulfides and can sometimes burn skin or if lucky just a simple rash, best to PH test water before wading in (swimming pool PH test strips are cheap). Be safe and happy exploring, wish I could tag along.

For some reason, reading his journal made me extremely sad. What a sorry existence! I feel badly for his family.
I don't know but it seems to me that this "stalker" was involved with whatever happened here. Why would Jeff barricade all the doors in such an isolated place? Why was he scared? I don't think Jeff had a gun, so why the bullet holes in the door right next to a pool of blood? Why would he make a bathroom in the building, when he could easily go outside? It seems he didn't do much of anything outside, fearing what may be waiting to shoot him down. To me Jeff seemed to be terrifed by whatever was out there, thus attempting to stay inside as much he could. He eventually went mad, scribbling pictures that resembled something a caveman would draw. Whoever came back obviously didn't want this place to be found, the magazine either. Why? I think that Jeff may have stumbled across this "stalker's" house, stealing some various supplies along with the magazine belonging to Shane Cox. Shane may have tracked down Jeff and shot him. Jeff survived and was on high alert. Eventully Shane killed him and tried to burn the evidence and magazine with his name on it. But who knows? Just my opinion

Why would the murderer come back to burn the stuff years later, if he had known Jeff was there. He would have not known about that spot until later. I wonder where the car went. A murderer might have had access to a tow truck or such and removed it, but it makes no sense that they came back to burn cloths after so much time

Crystal S the structure was some sort of processing building for the mining operation, according to one commenter’s observation. He noted some key features in the building that would have some function for processing the mineral they were mining. I have no idea personally, but the comment made sense. Just as likely that Jeff or someone else saw a use for a barrel and brought it down from the mine. Whether it was there originally or brought there, no point in speculating right? Haha. But definitely came from the same lot of barrels.
I wonder if there was some bad stuff going on in that abandoned building by the “stalker”, and that maybe Jeff found it and decided to take shelter there not knowing anyone was using the place for terrible reasons. So maybe when the “stalker” came back he was surprised to see Jeff in there which created an altercation. The clothes line with pins looks as if someone was developing photos in there. Hence everything being taped off to block out the light and why that one door going into that room was tied from the inside so that no one on the outside would open it up and mess up the photo development. I am just hoping someone wasn’t taking abusive pictures of kids out there and then developing it out there since they obviously couldn’t develop the photos somewhere publicly. Then they could sell the photos or what not. So maybe Jeff accidentally stumbled upon this operation. I don’t know. The whole thing is creepy.

This isn’t how a crime scene works. The crime scene is already heavily contaminated before they walk in. Evidenced by the burned evidence all over the floor. Also evidenced in the other video by the absolutely disgusting nature the scene was in when they were there. Alsp it’s pretty simple for them to prove when and where they touched these things so they wouldn’t be contaminating anything. Their finger prints being on these certain things would be justified.

The parts I find most disturbing is the child stuff mixed with the dirty magazines and the other weird stuff like the child like painting. I think something REALLY bad happened here. Think about it, if someone wanted to do something unspeakable like mess with kids, the middle of the desert is ideal because NO ONE can hear the screams.
But what leads me to believe that this is the case, look up the FBI definition of "pasta".
Pasta was mentioned in that diary 3 times. It was the only thing that stood out as if that was the reason of being out there. Lastly... The blood stains. Those blood stains are very alarming as if something went left and took a turn for the worse.
I REALLY hope the police have a sample of it to try to see if it matches any missing children.

Yeah the guy was murdered I believe and kids were definitely being abused in that place too. Why the hell would there be baby wipes/powder and childlike paintings on the wall along with fetish shit and dirty underwear everywhere... Whatever was going on in that place seems really fucked up. Imo, Jeff was using that hideout not knowing it was being used for sick purposes and he was confronted by the guy(s) who use that place for child trafficking or god knows what...The confrontation turned violent judging by the bullet holes in that door and Jeff being sick anyway wasn't able to fight much and very likely got shot hence all the blood. Whatever happened, someone is still actively trying to cover their tracks as why else would they be so keen on burning Jeff's belongings and the blood stained tissues? Plus other questionable items being removed from the place like his car keys, magazines and nintendo etc. Something terrible happened for sure and it's still creepy to think about. I think Jeff may have gotten very sick and spent his last days at the telephone switching building delirious and trying to just survive. A severe case of dysentery can kill by dehydration and a person with it would have left the kinds of things you found in the original vid. Including the blood in the bucket.
So could a penetrating wound to the abdomen though. Such as a gun shot? Jeff's body was recovered right?
They only recovered his skeletal remains, and they only had partial dental records, so they had a hard time id'ing him.
The symptoms as indicated with your video point to a severe stress set to his abdominal region. The bucket full of blood and waste was a telling point. Amoebic Dysentery can result from impure water supplies or alternately he may have been shot or stabbed. In either case dehydration could lead to delirium and serious disorientation, further exacerbating any physical challenges he may have faced. I think you are correct in assuming that the burning of his clothing was an attempt to cover up the circumstances surrounding his demise.
One of the challenges posed by a survival situation is finding clean water, this is especially true in a desert region. Keeping a personal, high quality, water filtration device is actually a very good idea.
Avoiding dangerous individuals is also a key to survival. I do not know and cannot guess which poor Jeff had suffered with.
So glad you decided to check this place out again. I am beginning to think that your stalker has something to do with this which is why he is trying to scare you off and I think he went back to destroy evidence or even to look for something specific. It looks like the fire was left to burn the building but it went out instead as he didn't stay to watch it burn. His journal was really fascinating, I got the impression that he was hiding from someone and he was starting to get depressed at being stuck out there as he had no choice. I think he was murdered in the end.
Karen Johansen, I agree, the fire completely burned out as only ashes were left, and I thought it was strange how they burned his vomit bucket too. His journal really did seem to suggest he didn't want to be there, he was stuck and hiding. His truck was out of fuel and had been vandalized and towed. Who would vandalize a new vehicle that has run out of fuel? That's something else that has been bothering me about it too.

I’m hoping everyone here is aware that the word pasta is used in pedophile circles to refer to “little boys”. Why was jeff counting the days was it to keep track of days so he know what the day was or he counting down to his death?

CAUTION: Myself and my girlfriend were exploring some isolated land in Southern Georgia (Owner's Approval). A man came up asking for drugs or alcohol, when I told him we didn't have any, he immediately hit me in the jaw. I held him at gunpoint (CCW), 'heavy zip-tied' his hands and feet, while my girlfriend drove to call the police (no phone service). He was a felon wanted for aggravated assault! He had been hiding out in the woods, no vehicle too?
The fact that Jeff was possibly? living there for months before he died is disturbing enough. I'm thinking desert nights would get pretty chilly, so I could see him moving to the heavier building but that increased his chances of unfriendly people discovering him. Died of poor health or killed, both are plausible.

It looks to me like he was sick and possibly suffering from a GI bleed. The bucket of old vomit next to where he was sleeping and all the bloody tissues etc by toilet. If he had a GI bleed and didn't get it addressed he could die. It would explain his deteriorating penmanship. The guy whose magazines were found there (possibly stolen per comments) probably went back and retrieved anything with his name since its being put out on utube. I'm not sure if he was ever found, interested to find out.
I know this is a year later but I’m from Arkansas and I remember this case coming up. Investigators still to this day ask for any information involving his disappearance and death. Whatever you have from the first video should definitely be turned into Nevada or Arkansas police. The mans name on those papers and magazines has been mentioned quite a bit as I can remember. Lots of conspiracies have been claimed about Jeff but no one will ever know unless investigators can do their job!

Many things in the building look very sketchy, and of course there could be much more to it, but the tissues looked like they had been specifically used to clean himself after using the restroom in my opinion. And I came here to the comments to see if anyone else noticed how badly his writing declined, and how he stopped commenting about his days completely as well. I noticed that at the end, he even wasn't able to keep his hand steady enough to make a straight line across the page. He was declining rapidly, and that seems quite obvious, sadly. :(

I love a mystery! Did you notice in the journal how the handwriting changed? On the first set of pages you photographed, Saturday is rewritten in a way that is not like any other entry, note the loop on the y's especially. At first he wrote in slanted block letters, then changed to cursive for all the remaining entries.

It seems it would be hard to stay hydrated in that area. Perhaps he drank some of that water in that mine if he ended up desperate enough. That water could be dangerous to drink, and that could explain the bloody tissues and the vomit bucket... and he was later found dead. I can't remember the details of his death but perhaps either that water had something to do with it or maybe he died from dehydration.
Also, that stalker sounds suspicious... he didn't want you exploring the area, and when you returned to Jeff's place, most of the evidence was destroyed? Seems like he had something to do with Jeff. This case surrounding Jeff should be investigated further
This is all sooo interesting. I first want to thank you two for being brave enough to go look into this place and get this amazing info because I'd be too chicken to look. But I also along with everyone else have so many questions.. I noticed from the first video, there was a Ton of Safeway bags in the trash barrel, and once you came back in this video, it was tampered with because the Safeway logo was visible before. Also, the sleeping bag was gone, the tarp to get into the room was messed with, the oven was wide open, & there just so happened to be no more magazine under the name of Shane Kocks. Why would someone want to take a very old magazine for no purpose? I think as well that Shane was the key person in this and he got tired of supporting Jeffrey & Killed him..
Also, baby wipes could've been used for cleaning. You should've taken those slippers or shoes he had in there still & got some sort of DNA test on it.

I am by no means an expert, but doesn't the handwriting in the journal seem to change dramatically a couple days after his birthday? It goes from block letters to cursive and it seems like many of the letters are in a completely different style than in the earlier entries. Is it possible that someone other than Jeff could have made those entries to throw off the timeline of anyone possibly investigating this case?
Compare the letter Y. The loop on the later examples look nothing like the earlier examples. Even in the word Birthday, which is closer to cursive than any of the earlier words, has a letter Y which appears to loop from right to left, whereas the later examples loop from left to right.
Also, why are there several examples in the later entries where it appears that someone is practicing how to write the same day of the week?
Like I said, I'm not an expert, but this just looks fishy to me. Has this handwriting been Analyzed?

Where was his car? I never hear that mentioned. His family/friends said in an article that no matter where he went, he would always return home every few weeks even if it was just for a few days to gather more supplies. They said he had traveled to different cities and states just to camp and live off the land but he would always return home. I wonder if having his keys but not his car is the reason why he never went back home.. or maybe he was sick and knew he didnt have a lot of time left so he didn't wanna waste it going home

Then once this guy found out and told authorities the guy came back and burned it all. That stalker guy should be arrested and put upon a jury. Pretty obvious to me. While else would all of his belongings be burned. Honestly this is why I will carry a gun with me everywhere I go. It's a dangerous world.
Interestingly: his last journal date listed was Monday July 27th. From my findings, July 27th fell on a Monday in 2015!! The police should have went to that building to collect evidence. And Shane Kocks needs to be investigated!

I don't give him attention by naming him, but he started attacking, stalking, and causing other personal problems for me after I posted the first Jeff video. I have deleted most of his comments on the videos, but he has admitted to having multiple accounts on TH-cam to harass me. He was connected to the others who supposedly had some connection to Jeff before he went missing and was later found deceased. Those who were around during his posts will know exactly who he is. He has land out there near where Jeff was "camping". He seems to think he can scare me away, but he couldn't be more wrong about that.

As I was writing "Poor man," I had this sick thought pop into my head. I am always willing to look at people as victims, and sometimes that is far from the truth. I didn't know this man or who he was in life. He could've been a great guy, or a deeply disturbed individual.

Looked like a shotgun pattern to me. Looked like what I'd expect a #4 buckshot pattern to look like fired from about 10-15 feet away

I'm late to this video so I doubt people will notice my comment, but.. in his journal on May 24th, he wrote "hopefully no raid?!" It would seem like he meant "rain", as that's what he wrote on the other days, but it's weird because that's clearly a 'D'. Can't make a typo with a pen.
