You have really good directional intuition. I've watched you turn left and right several times, where I would have stuck to either the right hand or left hand rule. I was really surprised there were no ore cart tracks. That's a lot of rock to haul by manual labor. Thank you for the explore. I'm glad you got out safe.
The further you got into the tunnels, the more I held my breath lol...not sure why it affects me this way 🙂 What a great explore, thanks for taking us in there!
Me too there’s plenty of old mine workings around where I live and some years back one of my older brothers friends got killed as his dog went down one chasing some creature and there was a fall in so I have a healthy respect for these places.
Man I feel you on the quake. I live in Southern New Mexico where we have a ton of Air Force fighter activity. More than once a sonic boom has gone off almost directly over a mine I'm in and you'll get a few little chunks dropping from the ceiling. High pucker factor! Cool video.
It's incredible that that mine is still in pretty good shape seeing as it's over a hundred years old!!! Being in a mine when a earthquake hits must be like getting depth charged in a sub in WW2!!!
Funny, My father and I were caught in an earthquake underground at a huge mine in the mountains near Yosemite. Never moved so fast in our lives. massive operation, lots of water and huge stopes. would love to go back and see if its still open. Indian flat area, private property. If you find a massive casting from a burned up grand piano, you are near the adit.
dang what a find, just when you think you have come to the end, a left or right turn, wouldnt want to be in that one when a quake hit....great video....
Esta bonito por dentro pero que miedo entrar hasta el fondo ese hombre es valiente yo de ver estoy nerviosa como va salir a caminado mucho se puede perder ❤
Going back so far into a mine with so many turns and directions, I beleive I would brought along some chalk to mark the walls. Also they are dangerous to be in case of an earthquake!
Bags of amfo nitrate mmmmmmmm serious blasting , hello country rock move out of the way curtain raiser and door opening expander and hole maker indeed travelling on through....amfo be like that leaves few cracks but much to be mucked out ,albeit in rather small pieces and associated dust motes , it made nitro gel a poor cousin and brought to the fore one cubic feet of rock will produce three cubic meters of rock its a geological scale and is true, hence wit the gobbing on older mines they saved trucking out the waste rock back in the dynamite days . @19:58 they where still following the seam of quarts I would guess. Hello from Australia opal miner here. Great explore indeed thanks for taking me along with you.
And at the end is a very lit, white room with square walls, with a man sitting in a big leather chair behind a desk, smoking a cigar, looking up from a newspaper, asking if you have an appointment.
Yeah I noticed the ribbons as well, also plenty of red ones...one yellow one had MHF 44 written on it but the red ones seem to start with a P_ _ but couldn't get a clear look at those. Are they marking veins or what?
At 19:00 minuets you are way in there ,what were they mining for and where is all the rock from these tunnels and how did they get it out of there, i didn't see any tracks for wheeling it or carting it out? are there big piles outside the entrance that i missed? Great video, but creepy ,i wouldn't want to be in there.
You need to turn down your light some when viewing the grappihti. It fads out what ever you are looking at for us. That carved out area behind the door looks like it was their dynamite or explosives storage. It looks like the earthquake or maybe just "time" brought down the rock work on the back of the adet. The mineral looks to be very porus on the walls the further that you went in. Do you have any idea what was being mined here? Thanks for your "no fear" explore for you & us.
Depends on different factors like how strong or weak the rock in that area is and how strong the earthquake is. The weaker the rock, the weaker the earthquake can be to make it collapse, which greatly increases the chance of a cave in. Also depends on the depth of the earthquake.
I can't imagine anyone but other spelunkers are using google maps to determine where you are, so why do you feel the need to be so secretive about it? Are you "gatekeeping" your hobby?
If I were you, I'd get a prospecting permit, Get a decent metal detector ( Minelab equnox 800) and pin ponter. and go get the stuff the old timers had no clue of just under the surface.
I worry about you man , seeing a bag with “ Amonia -nitrate , Explosives “on it and trying to lift / and or move it , was NOT the brightest or safest thing to do !! I may not have as many years of experience going into old mines as you my friend, but I know Damn well how dangerous old Dynamite & explosives can become after long periods of moisture / humidity / etc, and if I run across ANY, I give them a wide berth & proceed with extreme caution . Messing with the wrong piece of history in an old mine shaft just might “ Blow up your TH-cam channel “ in ways you definitely won’t want it to. Just my 2 cents here . As you always say , “ Get out & explore , but stay safe “ . Better practice a bit more discretion in future around unknown bags or containers as you just never know …. C-ya hopefully on your next escapade. 😎👍
Most of my videos were from my own gold claims. Which I had stupid people who tried to find and even claim jump some of my personal gold Claims. Most that I caught were either arrested and prosecuted for trespassing and stealing Gold or I let them go with a warning. I catch you following me to my Claims or if I find you on my claims by federal law I have the right to defend my property in every means necessary. Remember that when you follow someone or try to follow someone to a claim.
Location acquired! Spray paint and bags of trash loaded and ready to be dumped!! Thank you sir. And tire tracks will be followed to next location BWAHAHAHA!! 😮
Its got clay Its a mine.... Its a clay-mine 😂 This guy makes me nervous for 1 ... seems highly unprepared for such a deteriorated mine... And 2 he says he doesnt like showing too much scenery because other people try find it ... But dude they are no different to yourself... and if they do have a little dig or scratch ...who cares ... does it truly effect your life that much... apart from those 2 things great explore would love to see some samples taken home crush pan ect and results shown
"be safe" said the man who deep into a place that was one wrong move from giving him free funeral speedrun. yeah sure bud, im gonna continue watching you crazies play dice games with mother earth on my fat ass. but best of luck to you
I like how all you mine explorer’s think you keep things “secret “ it’s laughable a best ! Living in Nevada and California for years and exploring every single weekend and on days off I’ve been to every single mine that’s ever been posted on utube .heck I’ve even worked at some way back in the day .I could easily name the mine and mining district in any state west of the Rockies. Lol. So spare the melodrama and just make a video of you trespassing and leave it at that
I am to claustrophobic to go into a cave like that so it is so amazing and interesting to do an explore with you. Thanks for sharing.
No you’re not
You have really good directional intuition. I've watched you turn left and right several times, where I would have stuck to either the right hand or left hand rule. I was really surprised there were no ore cart tracks. That's a lot of rock to haul by manual labor.
Thank you for the explore. I'm glad you got out safe.
Mules, wheel barrows, and bags one load at a time
if you look around 12:08 you will see signs of ties. pretty sure this mine used track to haul out.
The further you got into the tunnels, the more I held my breath lol...not sure why it affects me this way 🙂
What a great explore, thanks for taking us in there!
Thank you for taking us along on your journey. Enjoyed the excitement!
Wow, you were very lucky. I was wondering if that had ever happened to you. Am surprised this mine is still open. Take care, Mike
Beautiful view at the beginning . Thanks !
Safe viewing on a monitor from 1500 miles away. Many kind hearted thanks for a a fantastic explore.
No worries from me trying to go to these places. I'm fine with watching you
Me too there’s plenty of old mine workings around where I live and some years back one of my older brothers friends got killed as his dog went down one chasing some creature and there was a fall in so I have a healthy respect for these places.
No worries from me either but not sure what guys problem is.
Man I feel you on the quake. I live in Southern New Mexico where we have a ton of Air Force fighter activity. More than once a sonic boom has gone off almost directly over a mine I'm in and you'll get a few little chunks dropping from the ceiling. High pucker factor! Cool video.
Fascinating, harrowing tour.
It's incredible that that mine is still in pretty good shape seeing as it's over a hundred years old!!!
Being in a mine when a earthquake hits must be like getting depth charged in a sub in WW2!!!
glad you are careful - you could spend a lot of time down there, getting out !!
What an absolutely mind-blowing tunnel!
You are a very brave man! Thank you!
Long mine, lots of color still in it. The clay and dirt makes a person think they are close to the surface. But nice mine stay safe.
That is a beast of a mine! I'd be petrified of being caught in an earthquake in there.
Wow beautiful view
It would be cool to build a house over that mine opening. What an awesome basement that would make.
Funny, My father and I were caught in an earthquake underground at a huge mine in the mountains near Yosemite. Never moved so fast in our lives. massive operation, lots of water and huge stopes. would love to go back and see if its still open. Indian flat area, private property. Magnifique cette mine perdu dans la montagne 👍👍🤝🤝🔥🔥
Thanks for the look
Such beautiful scenery. Thank you sir
when you went in you took a left and that was the extent of the whole video, are you going to do a video of the other part? thank-you for the video.
Not just that, but you don't know what gases are in there.
@@hildahilpert5018 wonder if the poster carries along a gas meter. certainly a necessary item.
Imagine Big John working these mines? Every morning at the mine you could see him arrive, he stood 6'4 and weighed 245 Big John.

You have balls or part mole. Thinking how far you are underground gives me the chills.
And at the end is a very lit, white room with square walls, with a man sitting in a big leather chair behind a desk, smoking a cigar, looking up from a newspaper, asking if you have an appointment.
What do the yellow ribbons hanging from the walls signify? I've seen them on some of your other videos also.
Probably other geologists taking samples and they mark the sample
area with ribbons and numbers.
Those are survey markers and plat numbers. It might have been surveyed as recently as the 1980s ..
Yeah I noticed the ribbons as well, also plenty of red ones...one yellow one had MHF 44 written on it but the red ones seem to start with a P_ _ but couldn't get a clear look at those. Are they marking veins or what?
Love your work. What state is this in?
Thanks already seen it it’s a good one
ကျေးဇူးပါ..။။
Восхитительно!!!
Thanks again .. love ya
What did this mine produce???
At 19:00 minuets you are way in there ,what were they mining for and where is all the rock from these tunnels and how did they get it out of there, i didn't see any tracks for wheeling it or carting it out? are there big piles outside the entrance that i missed? Great video, but creepy ,i wouldn't want to be in there.
check around 12:08 believe those are tie marks.
I can use computer vision to detect the scenery and compare it to other videos or Google photos . N find the location . Good videos
Tell me about it sodorish too I would love to live close to an old abandoned mine one with railway tracks in it which go into mine shafts🇬🇧
dang, that one looked a bit sketch there but super interesting with that clay and the tags from the 20's - stay safe sir. Thanks for the vid
It's nice to step into a tunnel like that when it's 20° outside.
What were they mining? The tunnels seem to be going in random directions.
You need to turn down your light some when viewing the grappihti. It fads out what ever you are looking at for us. That carved out area behind the door looks like it was their dynamite or explosives storage. It looks like the earthquake or maybe just "time" brought down the rock work on the back of the adet. Have you ever used an UV light when checking out old mines?
Man. My biggest fear every time I tour the Chollar mine in Virginia City, Nevada, is a huge earthquake making it collapse 💀
Did you check the temp while you were in there?
That’s a doobie smoking view right there wow that’s gorgeous
Hello, nice video!
Has this mine been surveyed? It seems that a lot of the wall markings are not that old......
Clay is what you find at the bottom of the river or glacial outwash. Fault gouge is what you find underground, same consistency.
Take care.
Good videos
Wonder if the old Miner's made clay pots on thier days off!?
9:41 did that say "Eat Shit?"
Said "East Shaft" lol.
There is no way I would go into a crumbling death trap.
Was this a gold mine or silver?
I wonder why it has such a strong door on it?? There's got to be other levels seeing as it has ore chutes!
It's not an explore, it is an exploration.
What kind of mind would that have been? Do you realize how much work it would take to make all those tunnels and the hours spent?
The guy who lives at Sarah Gordo mines he's got that view from his front door
do the chances of a cave in increase much during an earthquake?
Depends on different factors like how strong or weak the rock in that area is and how strong the earthquake is. The weaker the rock, the weaker the earthquake can be to make it collapse, which greatly increases the chance of a cave in. Also depends on the depth of the earthquake.
That nice clay is so unstable, I can’t believe you did that.
I'm the movie Prometheus they had a floating sphere. They just released. And it 3D mapped everything. To bad one is not available.
YOU should NEVER go in alone ! OMG
4:52 Ammonium Nitrate
People should be able to explore also where youarw exploring
Love the video have you ever found blue jeans in one of those caves
or skeletons???
I can't imagine anyone but other spelunkers are using google maps to determine where you are, so why do you feel the need to be so secretive about it? Are you "gatekeeping" your hobby?
If the location gets out, more people will come and vandalise the place, common sense
Egad, what's in an abandoned mine? Rattlesnakes and collapsing ceilings....
If I were you, I'd get a prospecting permit, Get a decent metal detector ( Minelab equnox 800) and pin ponter. and go get the stuff the old timers had no clue of just under the surface.

somebody let the monsters out .. that door was made to keep them in
i wonder about earthquakes ?

I was waiting for you to turn a corner and find a skeleton.
I’m lost and I’m not even in the tunnel
Nica.
That first cloud looks like a rat

but best of luck to you
NOTHING IS WHAT IT SEEMS
Bro has opps
I know exactly where you are. lol
If someone wants to know we're you are they will find you.
Don't risk your life for TH-cam
Explorers doing a dangerous thg.. entering into mine shafts & tunnels.. I do not want to watch!!😮😢
absolutely nothing
It's extremely dangerous to enter any mine and you need permission from the owner of the mine if your not careful you could loose your life
Honestly kinda boring …
You are trespassing
What crazy purpose did this mole have? Futility!
