- It's no secret that BMW M3s are a great bit of kit, an everyday driver's car, and now that the latest G80 version comes with xDrive, in my opinion, it's the best yet.
A massive Thank You to BMW UK for lending me their top spec G80 BMW M3 Competition xDrive for a week to film a bunch of different videos with, I absolutely loved it!

Another brilliant video mate! Glad to see you loved it so much, mine still surprises me when I press the right buttons... The only package the comprehensively beats it (in my opinion) is BMW's very own M5 CS, that takes everything to another level again and adds a better ride 👌 Happy 2023 and keep pushing with the channel... 🎬

I've had a little blast in the M5 (non CS) from Goodwood, and on track in the rain, it just seems a bit bigger and more sensible. I'll stick with the crazy! 😜

Skyscraper on kyalami extended ! Same spec as mine , however I have the orbit grey and a ‘23 so the new I drive 8. I’m indifferent on the new I drive , but what a fantastic car .

Yeah I'm not convinced about the wrap around dash, I prefer a dash board for the driver myself. I'm sure I'd get used to it! 😉👌
Fab review👍👍 picked mine up yesterday in verde ermes with the ultimate pack it's just stunning😊 I hated the front grill but have now got used to the looks and it really doesn't bother me the cars so much more than just a grill😉

I really hope you get a G80 M3, I have the same spec minus the buckets seats (had back surgery) and ceramic breaks (dont track). You have a great personality and I'd love to see more M3 videos. Great job, some of the most enjoyable G80 videos on the tube.

Great vid! Regarding the car audio, if you check that box for L7, it activates a full graphic equalizer and makes music sound so much fuller.

Excellent few reviews on this car Rick. If I were in the market for one (which unfortunately I am not)I would opt for the M3 Touring but any variant would be a weapon. Hopefully BMW give you another toy to play with so we get to see more content soon. Happy New Year Rick!

Yeah the M3 is all the car you'll ever need and does everything so well, including drink! But you don't get something for nothing! 😜
After having it for a week, do you think the carbon buckets are a good choice for a daily driver? Or are the carbon ceramics necessary? For me I’d be adding another $15k to get those. I doubt I’m going to call and add those options but man is it tempting!
Me personally, I would 100% add the carbon buckets, even for a daily driver. I was in and out of them multiple times a day, sometimes an hour, when filming my 'Top 10' video and you develop a knack to dropping in them and climbing out of them, as shown in this video. They are so supportive while being so comfy, and are easily the best seats I've ever seat in! 👌
Carbon ceramics I wouldn't worry about I don't think, even with the odd track day.

Yeah it always looks super smart, but really pops in the sun, and looks 10x better in real life!
Looking at Tanzanite Blue Metallic with the Kyalami Orange or Tartufo interior, Adenturine Red with Silverstone or Tartufo, or Goodood Green with Tarfufo. Although I do wish there was a tan interior closer to the cognac sensotec colour. That said, I'm loving this Skyscraper Grey with Orange.
And it looks so much better in real life, the grey looks very sparkly and super smart. I love it! I'm sure what ever you choose you'll be happy with it! 👊😉

@@RickTheSpud definitely, every time I walk up to it I’m excited to get in and drive it. Always puts a smile on my face. I did the same trip last year with circuit days with a friend in his F90 M5, so much fun but felt big in the mountains, hopefully the M3 won’t feel so big.

Defo try it first, although it's no 992! Having said that, down most roads, I'd be up behind you in a G80 M3! And if it was slippery, I'd be gone! 💪😎
