      We need another video!!!
      Something that helps us navigate and use the interface more efficiently and pleasantly lol
      Compared to the steam deck, it is very challenging and annoying to navigate the interface with random button presses and The game screen will pop into very small picture mode that is difficult switchback to full picture. It's full of small challenges that are frustrating and the experience is far frome streamline like the deck.
      I also find the games are playing a lot smoother on steam deck. It feels more like a console experience and the legion Go feels like a slow computer.
      I really want this thing to work out. But it's gotta be comfortable and pleasant to use like the steam deck. Or it's just not worth anything

    Hi Brett, since you were living in South Africa for a while, I would please like to ask if you know, if the Legion GO will be shipping to South Africa?
    Lenovo South Africa doesn't have a proper "Ticket Submission system", especially not for products listed on their website. I am considering to get a Legion GO instead of an Asus ROG Ally, since it seems like the overall better device, except for the Software issues that still need to be ironed out.

    I'm curious if Lenovo will eventually ship a variant with more memory, I'm also curious who is going to mod the device for more memory first. Implementations like this is why I kinda wish m.2's F key caught on, the reserved key or a future memory interface, and why I wish the CAMM connector would come soon but also revised to have a better layout to minimize the connector; dual-sided is the way to go, and side 1 can easily be tucked under the module onto the mother PCB itself. Though we'll probably have to wait for a v2 in a year or two for this.
    I like the idea of the right controller, but I don't like the implementation, it should be a cohesive controller no matter which mode, not a 'turn the controller 90° and lose most of the functionality' solution. Imagine if the mouse sensor was just on the bottom with no change in grip, where all of the controller functionality was still available, all of the M buttons could also be redistributed into Y buttons where you could instead have three Y buttons per side; if you don't like the idea of six back buttons, the concept of what Razer (and other third parties, Flydigi has done it before, not sure who else has) does with extra shoulder buttons is a nice idea, having buttons on the inside of the shoulders, I just wish someone would find a more proper implementation of them to where they're lateral buttons rather than depressing into the body of the device. it just feels like someone at Lenovo wanted a mouse, so they got the hardware team to slap something together, and that solution becomes a controller OR mouse in one body solution rather than controller AND mouse. And I get it, the molding and aesthetics of the device don't really allow for an AND solution, but I wish they just put a bit more effort into doing it this way so that there wasn't any compromise; this kind of solution could also lead to symmetric controllers which also means a left handed mouse option, or dual mice rather than dual stick and just relegate the sticks to some tertiary function. Again, hopefully a v2 implements this.

Steam os has just been very easy for me even tho some games do require some setting changes to run more smoothly but what I want is to be able to also play my Xbox while the fam occupies the tv most of the time. I do have xbplay which I can play my Xbox but it’s a terrible experience and I’d like something that I can do all. Play steam games, Xbox, PlayStation etc. and what is the main attraction for me on this legion is the big screen. I was debating getting the oled SD but am very torn if I want to venture into gaming laptop, legion go or just get the oled steamdeck. For 700-800 bucks it’s hard to pick the right device. hello ! can someone explains me how does RSR works with FSR ? Is it incompatible ? ty

    • @Cody-ng4cq
      @Cody-ng4cq 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      My understanding is that RSR can be left always on and only activates if you lower the display resolution to anything below native (so RSR is always off at native resolution and only activates to upscale a lower resolution to look closer to native but with better performance). If a specific game has FSR, just use that and leave it at native resolution, which should mean RSR automatically stays off / FSR supercedes it. This was my experience on the Steam Deck and Ally.
      I'm not entirely sure what happens if you turn on FSR AND lower the display resolution, but in a game that has FSR, I usually would recommend just dropping all the way to ultra performance mode if needed over messing with the display resolution at all, since it will provide a better picture and better performance in most cases.
      TLDR: if the game has FSR, use that and leave the resolution at native. If it doesn't but you still need more performance, lower the resolution and RSR will activate automatically if turned on in Legion Space or the AMD software.

      @vullord666 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      I mean if you are able to purchase a handheld now (like it's within financial means) then there won't really be buyers remorse. Just resale the handheld you do purchase on some marketplace and the depreciated value for all intents and purposes would match the entertainment use you got out of it. I personally don't think buyers remorse truly exists for a product that has a second hand market. Plus honestly at $800 max (less on sale and for other versions) it's not that heavy of a bullet to bite. Pc gaming gets above 1000 QUICK.

    My opinion is not gonna be super popular here but. I just feel the handheld consoles are at a start, kinda just the beginning of the potential. I think that in the upcoming future, we can expect a few new devices that will not force us to compromise. So far Steamdeck, Rog ally and Legion GO being many compromises.
    So today, I just went with the cheapest option - Steamdeck - as an introduction the the handhelds (maybe it is not even for me) and when this perfect device comes (I think it will bw pretty soon), that is when I switch.

    • @MitchM240
      @MitchM240 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I don’t think that is an unpopular opinion. I think that is fact. I cant imagine many people would argue with that take. Of course any of these devices are compromises. I can get laptop for the same price as the Legion go that would shit on it in every way.

Of course everyone’s use case is different, for me I never really leave the house with it so the laptop is fine for me. The legion go is an amazing device I was very impressed with it, If you need the most portable thing you can get it is the way to go.
