Hello everyone! 🙂 I've made a few mistakes in my video (thanks for pointing that out!) and I just wanted to make sure that they are visible somewhere: 1. The controllers CAN be turned on when disconnected, just hold the Legion/Settings Overlay button for a few seconds 3. You CAN use them in 2-Player mode 2. In order for the integer scaling to work, you have to set the system resolution to 800p, not 1600p Thank you!
Uh you were wrong about not being able to use the joycons individually with another person, you can there have been multiple videos about it, though it isn’t really great compared to the switch due to less buttons (no mini left and right trigger for instance and games not really being optimised for the smaller input.
The ultimate addition to this gaming tablet would be if you could add a data line like a T-Mobile or Verizon that way you could always have Netflix or TikTok any of those streaming apps available anywhere you go as well
@@cubeuhhgaming5034 i just tether my mobile with a wireless hot spot or bluttooth hotspot for that but you can buy mobile sim dongles with a plan for that.
@SIPEROTH hard disagree. Some people love the convience of a portable abd touch screen you can set up anywhere. And many gamers maybe brought a killer pc but never upgraded their screen to take advantage of high refresh rates. Or find they majoroty play indie titles. Which this is kind of overkill for. Its weird going from 144 and 240htz gaming but being able to body double or parelal play no matter what your partner or friends interests are is kinda incredibe. Like im playing through fallout 3 and new vegas for the first time with the new begining mod pack that combines b0th games on the go.
Dude I freaking love my legion go. I play it hooked up to a monitor with mouse and keyboard mostly and it works amazing. All these review videos are so critical, this thing is a badass machine

Same boat, got the lego for a few months and never regretted for a second, work and game everywhere, now it’s my only device for everythi ng, sold my computer, gaming laptop, ipad, hopefully something can replace my phone in the future, like a smart watch with good batterylife
I’ve had my Go for a week now, and I am loving it. It’s a great little emulator and plays current games incredibly well, even if doing so kills the battery life. It’s just a versatile piece of kit. I fully plan on picking up a portable Bluetooth keyboard and mouse for it for when I need to do work on the go. I think my only real criticism is the speakers. They’re probably the weakest part of the package, and I recommend either a good set of headphones or a dedicated Bluetooth speaker.
For the record, if you have bigger hands, the controller and mouse set up feel perfect. I can easily use the scroll wheel with my thumb knuckle and not stop a beat. If you’re also double jointed, the buttons in the back are great without getting any of those middle finger lock ups. Niche I know, but it’s amazing for me.
Just got my Legion on Friday and man im sooo happy with it, my Alienware m17 r2 died on me about three weeks ago and it was either this or a ps5 and man this thing is way too cool lol got me a Uperfect 2k 144hz monitor jsaux dock and razer mouse and keyboard, new main setup now no doubt
Were you able to load your cloud bought PS5 games on there? That's my only worry about getting this over another PlayStation because I have tons of games I bought on PSN but I just moved so I'm looking at this LeGo.

I had the OG steam deck and eventually upgraded to OLED and purchased the Legion Go. I tried playing games like nba2k, diablo 4, but it seems these sample games runs smoother in steamdeck oled no matter how change the settings in the LG. The FPS mode with detaachable controller for shooting is really hard to get use to but runs smooth. The steamdeck has the function of easy resume to games even days later.. on the other hand, the LG you can pause and hibernate but most of the time the game stop or crash once you wake up the system. I know there are stuff that can be utilize to make the LG like steam such as bazzite OS or the chimera which was mentioned in this video. Unfortunately, i did return my LG not because its a bad product. But because for my lifestyle, easy pause resume and for thr games that i really play a lot runs smoother on SD OLED.
for most part I believe it's likely due to shader cache (similar story with Elden Ring stutters on PC with Windows (unsure of linux pc builds but i assume it'd still be same since each gpu be different) suspend-&-resume on an OS level with SteamOS is why games not crash when sleeping or hibernating - unfortunately that is in how the OS handles such things, idk how SteamOS allocates resources when placed in said mode but it's really well done! the FPS mode would probably be useful as a mouse imo for rts or mouse heavy games imo not as an actual shooter because some games might get funny with mixing controller and keyboard and constantly swap UI
that being said you're not alone - I do appreciate the ability to have every game have its own TDP and game profile for FPS/Hz which helps you maximise battery life and experiment.
that's odd, I found the total opposite, my LG runs every game much better especially Diablo 4 on max settings. in all honesty i found colors more vibrant on my LG vs my Deck the blacks are better on the deck but that's where the good stops as its expected with oled. the only thing i can say is better on my deck is it ergonomics but most of the times i just use my Xbox controller with my LG on its stand in front of me. The Deck can't turn on all the bells and whistles on some of my older games, so i always felt like i was missing something lol i like having both but it very rare that i use my deck, i have been letting my wife use it mostly after messing with the LG and getting use to it.
While looking for a new portable pc what I really wanted was a windows tablet. Unfortunately that market has been reduced to include only the Surface line and hyper lowspec no-names. The result seems to be that the Legion Go is actually the most portable and best performance per dollar windows tablet - And it happens to come with a controller attachment! Looking forward to mine
Simplicities like having the Joy-Cons separate I absolutely love I know many people enjoy having that normal feel, however carpal tunnel and freedom makes my hands move better, however the fact that I can't even turn the legion go on with these disconnected is a game changer for the simplicity that I don't need to do so.
I got A Legion Go and I enjoy the experience. A lot of games I have on Steam I cannot play without doing some hefty work arounds. I do less Work arounds on the Legion go and the experience is more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, I adore my Steamdeck and I will never talk trash about it
I switched from a steam deck to the go and sold my steam deck. The reason being is that the Go was able to do much more than just game on the go. If your just gaming, yeah, stick with the steam deck, but for a multipurpose pc? go for the win!
I got the Deck, Go, and a powerful pc And i love my Steam Deck but anything outside of Steam like indie games, anti cheat games or other launchers requires tinkering. I did get alot of it working but it became a pain, like i got Ff14 non steam version running on the Deck, but I had a hard time setting up GOG games, EA, and Ubisoft games On the Go it just works like a regular Pc , my only issue is connecting other controllers when docked and have to use buggy Handheld companion app But it's my favorite Handheld now with emulation that can play up to Switch and Ps3 😊
Its crazy how big the device is..the only other portable device ive used is an original switch and wow aha. I actually like windows on a device like this. There's so many tutorials on how to optimize games to their full potential and I dig it . Its nice to be able to favour quality in one game vs frames in an other. The only thing i want to do is swap ssd to a 2TB. 512 is barely enough.
The steam deck feels like a game console with an added desktop environment. The legion Go feels like a PC with controllers attached to it. I love both, the Deck controllers and buttons come out on top, but the legion go is more versatile.
I hope if they release a revision, they make the controllers actually ergonimic, fix the speakers, fix the loud high pitched fan whine, and the battery. Thats really the only issues I have with this device.
As a Pc gamer I prefer windows, I am used to the software and I can play every game without to much hassle. I sold my steam deck because I play a lot of epic games and on steam deck was a pain to do it.
tip for FPS mouse users: don't use the tip of your right thumb to use the scroll wheel, just keep your thumb straight and scroll with the middle section of your thumb, that way you don't have to bend it and it's more comfortable
I like the idea of using this as a Surface pro and a gaming machine and a tablet. It pretty much covers all my needs. What's not to like? Hopefully it will go down to $499 on black friday or something below $600 🤷♂️
If you hold the legion space and legion quick settings buttons on the top of each controller respectively for about 4-6 seconds while they're off it'll power them on without having to attach the controllers to the handheld. Works the same when powering them off
I have an egpu, it works. There’s some driver workarounds for radeon cards but I found nvidia better behaved when docking and undocking lots. There’s some power settings in bios and legion space that should be used though. It can get hot when cpu limited. 6800xt vs 1660 super in my case. Edit: it’s my main machine now and replaced my steam deck. Love them both but the detachable controllers make the go more useful for me in a normal day to use as a tablet
Its a good step but i hope the next legion needs a better battery life, better graphics/frames ratio and a oled screen. I'm fine with the fan tbh I barely noticed it
9:55 isnt true…you can start the legion go with the controllers disconnected you just need to turn them on with holding of the Legion/start menu buttons for it depending on what you have these set to… You also use the integer scaling wrong…
i have a few residences in different states bcuz of work. in my main home i have a gaming desktop in the bedroom. but in the others i have a LeGo. its the perfect personal computer for me and handheld device to use around the house. i have several other handhelds besides those two. in the process of getting rid of my Steam Decks and AyaNeo devices.
I didn't intend on getting one either... After some notifications and a delivery I accidentally have one 😭😭🤣 Finally playing PC games. Haven't even been thinking about my P5.
People were fighting me when I mentioned both Asus and Lenovo being primarily hardware companies that tend to abandon their devices software wise quite quickly after release and thus they should probably not buy them and instead buy the Steam deck for long term software support. Turns out I was right... Lenovo Legion Go and Ally will degrade much quicker and will have unpatched software issues forever meanwhile Valve actually deploy fixes. I always wanted the Legion Go though, but the fact that you essentially get the same experience with it as you do with laptops from these companies, which is more often than not a very bad experience, turned me off.
@@SwissOliver If you are lucky the generic drivers from AMD, Nvidia, Intel uploaded to WU or downloaded directly from their homepage works just fine, but in many cases they don't and often cause random issues, up until very recently, especially on very customized hardware, like handhelds. I am currently running an Zephyrus M16 2023 and I am very lucky that the generic drivers actually work because Asus stopped (like always) releasing drivers after about 4 months, but intel gives a warning in the intel drivers assistant that OEM drivers should be used.
@@SwissOliver No, after a lot of consideration, research and bad experience with Lenovo and their laptops I ended up with the Steam deck Oled. Very happy with it and it gets regular updates and fixes.
The mere fact that the oldest device is still the best choice shows just how crap new model designs in the same market still are, if the legion go had better attachable controller options i might consider it dual thumbpads are just too useful to give up.
@@phile2586 got the LCD one because I am not that rich and they are more expensive where I live like 3k compared to 1.8k but I have a best friend who got the oled model and the LCD model. The OLED model has more battery and better screen of course, he did tell me that the OLED model is more refined compared to the LCD model, like valve took the LCD model and ironed it out. If you have the money get the OLED but the LCD is still good.

Windows is the single worst part of the Legion Go. I travel with the Deck instead partly because the fan noise of the Legion is just nightmarish for public consumption in comparison to the Deck. I also find the Go is better for CRPGs because of the bigger screen so if I want to play Rouge Trader while on my porch I will use the Go instead of the Deck. I will play something like FF7 remake on the Deck though.
I already got LeGo instead of Steam Deck and its bummer, i wanted to play Pathfinder and Rogue Trader during power outages. edit: nevermind, i thought you were recommending deck for cRPGs, am blind and dumb.
Have you tried installing Bazzite OS onto an external drive or SD card? You can try to install the Steam Deck version so you can have a console like experience.
Slight correction at around the 10min mark you can turn them on withiut being attached you just need to hold the legiin button down for a while on each controller to connect with them if the system started with them being disconnected
the only thing I don't like is I can't wake the console from sleep with the controllers wirelessly or attached. And you have to attach the controllers for them to turn on.
It has 1440p resolution, but you end up using 720p resolution for playable FPS. They should've just used 720p panel for better clarity, then 720p blurry stretched to 1440p.
If i didn't have the deck i would get this, primarily for better 360 emulation, But i can wait a few more generations with my deck. In a couple of years i think PC tablets will be the next big thing.
Totally agree and thought the same thing. I have a legion go and without a doubt will be selling it for their newer more powerful version in the coming years. That or maybe another brand releases one we’ll see. Personally though the legion go is almost perfect. Battery kind of sucks but charging it is so non-bothersome and charges surprisingly fast! Love it
Hibernate in Windows can brick SSD's, its the first thing you should ensure ISNT enabled. Sleep on windows is awful however so i see why you would think its better, just so you are aware this can brick hardware. i have seen many in my time die as a result i ensure that all of our estate of machines have it disabled.
@@oo--7714 I have been working in I.T since the 90s, and managed 1000s of laptops, we still ensure that Hibernate is turned off for all laptops with SSD (which is now all laptops ) I can’t recall the technical details and it may not be as prevalent anymore but windows used to essentially put your SSD to sleep and couldn’t wake it up again, effectively bricking the SSD completely, I believe Microsoft acknowledged this by disabling hibernation when an SSD is detected. Hibernation was a really cool feature for laptops with spinners but became unnecessary when SSDs became a thing. Hibernation also creates a hiberfil.sys file which can get quite large , it’s a feature I really wouldn’t recommend enabling.
@@oo--7714 Hey, I have replied a few times to this, I don’t know why it keeps disappearing ! I have over 30 years experience in I.T and have deployed 1000s of laptops in my career, SSD’s in the early days used to be “put to sleep” by windows using hibernate, many SSD’s couldn’t be woken up , ever, like a permanent sleep, hence the bricking, it was such a prevalent issue that Microsoft changed Windows to disable Hibernate when it detects an SSD. However I haven’t deployed Laptops personally for a while and I suspect Hibernate may have been changed to not put the disk to sleep anymore? I don’t know for sure, but it’s still on our checklist as something to ensure hasn’t turned itself on! Not to mention the Hiberfil (hibernate) file that gets created on the C: drive can get pretty big if it’s turned on.
@@austinlewis6575 This genuinely may happen and has happened to many of my users over the years. The device itself will be fine but the SSD may never turn on again is what I am saying.

anyone who often had steam games issue on lauching and corrupt disc error? im asking to know if its still worth buying games from steam. i just had issues on my steam games launching error and corrupt disc issues. while corrupt disc issue might be due to sd card. i still had other issues other than corrupt disc on steam games. im thinking of fully abandoning pc gaming since i dont like redownloading games over and over just to fix game launching issues.
I love my Legion GO but haven’t used it as expected 😂😂😂. It’s final “win” over the deck for me to give it a try wasn’t so much the detachable controllers but that fps mode with the detached controller, I felt I would just learn to love that vertical mouse, but I hated it. Luckily I had a mini bluetooth mouse/keyboard combo I was trying out with my phone hoping it would help with light “laptop” work via my phone on the go (things like editing docs and replying to emails). I hated it, the phone screen was too small. Well guess what took that over with ease! Legion GO! Paired said bluetooth set with the legion go and got a carrying case that can hold it all. Worth every penny. I can play games using keyboard and mouse with ease and even do the doc editing I wanted on the GO with the same ease. Plus handheld mode.

destroyed Lenovo's reputation for testing software before it goes out the door. Only had the device for 2 hrs, Legion Space auto upgraded & killed itself & the worst thing is even if u downgrade, you can't turn auto update off (u can only launch it in Airplane mode). i had the Ally for 2 weeks & all the software (including BIOS) is a much smoother experience but I can't say the same of the h/w: it fried my SD (no surprise), had joystick drift (I love the detachable controllers of the Go) & then started suffering from external screen blank issues - all reasons that got me to the Go. but on day 2, it's not looking like im going to keep it but who knows perhaps I'll have a change of heart after 2 weeks!
@@phile2586 I'm glad you aren't! i never thought this is where it would lead & think I'm gonna jump for a steal on a 16GB/1TB M1 Mac mini. I'm gonna miss the world of x86 & handhelds but I think I need to give it time to bake more. there's a lot of momentum on the gaming side of things on the Mac (im not a hardcore PC gamer so what I see is very promising). I considered one of the new "palm PCs" (EM780) to keep the PC momentum going so it's a hard decision!
The steam deck has fell out of favor with me when they shipped me a defective one and steam os/ linux is significantly harder to mod games on than windows for me
Bought a refurbished one last week after owning the ROG ally for 6 weeks. I am selling the ally, because the Go has a bigger screen, a scroll wheel and touchpad to use in windows, two usb-c, and generally higher build quality. Main issues are, Legion Go software is crap, it came with windows home in Chinese (single language), I did not have fun with the installation, as I couldn’t update the cd key (bought for a high price from Microsoft) within Windows… everything else seems very well thought out. The Steam deck couldn’t play FC24 (fifa) due to anti cheat. I returned it. I did like the OLED screen. Not sure why it comes with a matte screen on the 1tb model. Going to try my 7900xtx as egpu on it. I may end up not having a diy desktop. 😮

Im not sure the integer scaling is accurate. System can be at 1600p but you want games fullscreen not borderless and at a lower resolution

I got a Legion Go for $500 used. I replaced my main computer with it. It works for me for now.
Just bought a 1tb one from my buddy who used it once, and didnt even take the stickers off 550. Im used to windows no problems yet.
That must have been quite the horrible computer for you to feel fine replacing it with something as limited as a handheld.

What Dock are you using brother? I’m going to purchase a LG as well after my June trip but, I don’t know which one to get.
I'm the same way, I have mine docked to my TV and play that way. It's basically a Switch on steroids but can use it as my PC as well.

LG vs my Deck the blacks are better on the deck but that's where the good stops as its expected with oled. the only thing i can say is better on my deck is it ergonomics but most of the times i just use my Xbox controller with my LG on its stand in front of me. The Deck can't turn on all the bells and whistles on some of my older games, so i always felt like i was missing something lol i like having both but it very rare that i use my deck, i have been letting my wife use it mostly after messing with the LG and getting use to it.
While looking for a new portable pc what I really wanted was a windows tablet. Unfortunately that market has been reduced to include only the Surface line and hyper lowspec no-names. The result seems to be that the Legion Go is actually the most portable and best performance per dollar windows tablet - And it happens to come with a controller attachment! Looking forward to mine

Simplicities like having the Joy-Cons separate I absolutely love I know many people enjoy having that normal feel, however carpal tunnel and freedom makes my hands move better, however the fact that I can't even turn the legion go on with these disconnected is a game changer for the simplicity that I don't need to do so.
I got A Legion Go and I enjoy the experience. A lot of games I have on Steam I cannot play without doing some hefty work arounds. I do less Work arounds on the Legion go and the experience is more enjoyable. Don't get me wrong, I adore my Steamdeck and I will never talk trash about it
I ended up giving my steam deck to my daughter.
For the games she plays, its perfect.
For the games I play, the Go is perfect.
I switched from a steam deck to the go and sold my steam deck.
The reason being is that the Go was able to do much more than just game on the go. If your just gaming, yeah, stick with the steam deck, but for a multipurpose pc? go for the win!

And i love my Steam Deck but anything outside of Steam like indie games, anti cheat games or other launchers requires tinkering.
I did get alot of it working but it became a pain, like i got Ff14 non steam version running on the Deck, but I had a hard time setting up GOG games, EA, and Ubisoft games
On the Go it just works like a regular Pc , my only issue is connecting other controllers when docked and have to use buggy Handheld companion app
But it's my favorite Handheld now with emulation that can play up to Switch and Ps3 😊
Its crazy how big the device is..the only other portable device ive used is an original switch and wow aha.
I actually like windows on a device like this. There's so many tutorials on how to optimize games to their full potential and I dig it . Its nice to be able to favour quality in one game vs frames in an other.
The only thing i want to do is swap ssd to a 2TB. 512 is barely enough.

The steam deck feels like a game console with an added desktop environment.
The legion Go feels like a PC with controllers attached to it.
I love both, the Deck controllers and buttons come out on top, but the legion go is more versatile.
I hope if they release a revision, they make the controllers actually ergonimic, fix the speakers, fix the loud high pitched fan whine, and the battery. Thats really the only issues I have with this device.

As a Pc gamer I prefer windows, I am used to the software and I can play every game without to much hassle. I sold my steam deck because I play a lot of epic games and on steam deck was a pain to do it.
tip for FPS mouse users: don't use the tip of your right thumb to use the scroll wheel, just keep your thumb straight and scroll with the middle section of your thumb, that way you don't have to bend it and it's more comfortable

If you hold the legion space and legion quick settings buttons on the top of each controller respectively for about 4-6 seconds while they're off it'll power them on without having to attach the controllers to the handheld. Works the same when powering them off

I have an egpu, it works. There’s some driver workarounds for radeon cards but I found nvidia better behaved when docking and undocking lots.
There’s some power settings in bios and legion space that should be used though. It can get hot when cpu limited. 6800xt vs 1660 super in my case.
Edit: it’s my main machine now and replaced my steam deck. Love them both but the detachable controllers make the go more useful for me in a normal day to use as a tablet

9:55 isnt true…you can start the legion go with the controllers disconnected you just need to turn them on with holding of the Legion/start menu buttons for it depending on what you have these set to…

i have a few residences in different states bcuz of work. in my main home i have a gaming desktop in the bedroom. but in the others i have a LeGo. its the perfect personal computer for me and handheld device to use around the house. i have several other handhelds besides those two. in the process of getting rid of my Steam Decks and AyaNeo devices.

People were fighting me when I mentioned both Asus and Lenovo being primarily hardware companies that tend to abandon their devices software wise quite quickly after release and thus they should probably not buy them and instead buy the Steam deck for long term software support. Turns out I was right... Lenovo Legion Go and Ally will degrade much quicker and will have unpatched software issues forever meanwhile Valve actually deploy fixes.
I always wanted the Legion Go though, but the fact that you essentially get the same experience with it as you do with laptops from these companies, which is more often than not a very bad experience, turned me off.
regarding the drivers: aren't this standard windows driver which could be downloaded manually?
@@SwissOliver If you are lucky the generic drivers from AMD, Nvidia, Intel uploaded to WU or downloaded directly from their homepage works just fine, but in many cases they don't and often cause random issues, up until very recently, especially on very customized hardware, like handhelds.
I am currently running an Zephyrus M16 2023 and I am very lucky that the generic drivers actually work because Asus stopped (like always) releasing drivers after about 4 months, but intel gives a warning in the intel drivers assistant that OEM drivers should be used.

@@SwissOliver No, after a lot of consideration, research and bad experience with Lenovo and their laptops I ended up with the Steam deck Oled. Very happy with it and it gets regular updates and fixes.

The mere fact that the oldest device is still the best choice shows just how crap new model designs in the same market still are, if the legion go had better attachable controller options i might consider it dual thumbpads are just too useful to give up.

@@phile2586 got the LCD one because I am not that rich and they are more expensive where I live like 3k compared to 1.8k but I have a best friend who got the oled model and the LCD model. The OLED model has more battery and better screen of course, he did tell me that the OLED model is more refined compared to the LCD model, like valve took the LCD model and ironed it out. If you have the money get the OLED but the LCD is still good.

Windows is the single worst part of the Legion Go. I travel with the Deck instead partly because the fan noise of the Legion is just nightmarish for public consumption in comparison to the Deck. I also find the Go is better for CRPGs because of the bigger screen so if I want to play Rouge Trader while on my porch I will use the Go instead of the Deck. I will play something like FF7 remake on the Deck though.
I saw from a recent video that the fan noise on the go has been updated to be more quieter now

Have you tried installing Bazzite OS onto an external drive or SD card? You can try to install the Steam Deck version so you can have a console like experience.

Slight correction at around the 10min mark you can turn them on withiut being attached you just need to hold the legiin button down for a while on each controller to connect with them if the system started with them being disconnected

It has 1440p resolution, but you end up using 720p resolution for playable FPS. They should've just used 720p panel for better clarity, then 720p blurry stretched to 1440p.

If i didn't have the deck i would get this, primarily for better 360 emulation, But i can wait a few more generations with my deck. In a couple of years i think PC tablets will be the next big thing.

I have a legion go and without a doubt will be selling it for their newer more powerful version in the coming years. That or maybe another brand releases one we’ll see. Personally though the legion go is almost perfect. Battery kind of sucks but charging it is so non-bothersome and charges surprisingly fast! Love it
Hibernate in Windows can brick SSD's, its the first thing you should ensure ISNT enabled. Sleep on windows is awful however so i see why you would think its better, just so you are aware this can brick hardware. i have seen many in my time die as a result i ensure that all of our estate of machines have it disabled.

@@oo--7714 I have been working in I.T since the 90s, and managed 1000s of laptops, we still ensure that Hibernate is turned off for all laptops with SSD (which is now all laptops ) I can’t recall the technical details and it may not be as prevalent anymore but windows used to essentially put your SSD to sleep and couldn’t wake it up again, effectively bricking the SSD completely, I believe Microsoft acknowledged this by disabling hibernation when an SSD is detected. Hibernation was a really cool feature for laptops with spinners but became unnecessary when SSDs became a thing. Hibernation also creates a hiberfil.sys file which can get quite large , it’s a feature I really wouldn’t recommend enabling.

I have over 30 years experience in I.T and have deployed 1000s of laptops in my career, SSD’s in the early days used to be “put to sleep” by windows using hibernate, many SSD’s couldn’t be woken up , ever, like a permanent sleep, hence the bricking, it was such a prevalent issue that Microsoft changed Windows to disable Hibernate when it detects an SSD. However I haven’t deployed Laptops personally for a while and I suspect Hibernate may have been changed to not put the disk to sleep anymore? I don’t know for sure, but it’s still on our checklist as something to ensure hasn’t turned itself on! Not to mention the Hiberfil (hibernate) file that gets created on the C: drive can get pretty big if it’s turned on.

anyone who often had steam games issue on lauching and corrupt disc error? im asking to know if its still worth buying games from steam. i just had issues on my steam games launching error and corrupt disc issues. while corrupt disc issue might be due to sd card. i still had other issues other than corrupt disc on steam games. im thinking of fully abandoning pc gaming since i dont like redownloading games over and over just to fix game launching issues.
I love my Legion GO but haven’t used it as expected 😂😂😂. It’s final “win” over the deck for me to give it a try wasn’t so much the detachable controllers but that fps mode with the detached controller, I felt I would just learn to love that vertical mouse, but I hated it. Luckily I had a mini bluetooth mouse/keyboard combo I was trying out with my phone hoping it would help with light “laptop” work via my phone on the go (things like editing docs and replying to emails). I hated it, the phone screen was too small. Well guess what took that over with ease! Legion GO! Paired said bluetooth set with the legion go and got a carrying case that can hold it all. Worth every penny. I can play games using keyboard and mouse with ease and even do the doc editing I wanted on the GO with the same ease. Plus handheld mode.

destroyed Lenovo's reputation for testing software before it goes out the door. Only had the device for 2 hrs, Legion Space auto upgraded & killed itself & the worst thing is even if u downgrade, you can't turn auto update off (u can only launch it in Airplane mode). i had the Ally for 2 weeks & all the software (including BIOS) is a much smoother experience but I can't say the same of the h/w: it fried my SD (no surprise), had joystick drift (I love the detachable controllers of the Go) & then started suffering from external screen blank issues - all reasons that got me to the Go. but on day 2, it's not looking like im going to keep it but who knows perhaps I'll have a change of heart after 2 weeks!

I'm gonna miss the world of x86 & handhelds but I think I need to give it time to bake more. there's a lot of momentum on the gaming side of things on the Mac (im not a hardcore PC gamer so what I see is very promising). I considered one of the new "palm PCs" (EM780) to keep the PC momentum going so it's a hard decision!

The steam deck has fell out of favor with me when they shipped me a defective one and steam os/ linux is significantly harder to mod games on than windows for me

Bought a refurbished one last week after owning the ROG ally for 6 weeks. I am selling the ally, because the Go has a bigger screen, a scroll wheel and touchpad to use in windows, two usb-c, and generally higher build quality.
Main issues are, Legion Go software is crap, it came with windows home in Chinese (single language), I did not have fun with the installation, as I couldn’t update the cd key (bought for a high price from Microsoft) within Windows… everything else seems very well thought out.
The Steam deck couldn’t play FC24 (fifa) due to anti cheat. I returned it. I did like the OLED screen. Not sure why it comes with a matte screen on the 1tb model.
Going to try my 7900xtx as egpu on it. I may end up not having a diy desktop. 😮
