It's always weird to watch someone in shock for being convicted of murder when they know they committed murder.
And when there is a mountain of evidence
She's very young child like come on give her a chance but with some punishment of course !
Cause she thought the jury was gonna feel sorry for a little pimple faced 14 year old girl who didn't know any better and she'd just go to some hospital for evaluation. Im glad the jury didn't buy into all her cowpoop. Ha well how the turn tables have turned tablely ha
@@cesarordaz139 and when she filmed her mother’s body after she pew pewed her mother in the face five times and posed her body and then invited friends over to see. Sorry but Carly is getting hit very hard with the reality of CONSEQUENCES. I’m not sure why people think she should be excused for some reason yet Josh Phillips doesn’t get any empathy about his trauma or excused for his age at the time (14) (nor should be imho).
Or see the James Bulger case in England (youngest perps ever in that country) in which both murderers have been released with new secret identities yet both have allegedly/apparently been involved in more crimes. Carly experienced some trauma but many do, her mother was an active, loving, and involved mother, and her decision and her behavior as she did it PLUS THE ATTEMPTED MURDER OF HER STEPFATHER shows a very very cold and calculating personality. That is not “fixable,” so…
Not giggling now is she lol
Calling her friend to come see her murdered momma says it all. Just sad.
Probably what did her in
Yes very depraved
I'm actually shocked that we didn't here anything from this friend. Nevertheless, the verdict was correct.
Most definitely
Very true. She's cold and calculated.
This is justice. She could have admitted guilt and gotten parole after 40 years. She didn't admit anything and now gets life in prison and will never be released. She chose the result.
If she is under 18 she will get out someday. There is no life without parole for murderers that were under 18 at the time they committed the murder.

She made the decision to not take the plea. They were just doing their job. 🤷♀️
I can't believe she thought she was not guilty it was premeditated she knew what she was doing the whole time from start to finish. she was way spoiled and entitled

Why is she crying? Omg. U kill someone, u will go to jail for the rest of ur life! Who doesnt know that? These criminals
Killed her mother and then invited a friend to view her body. It doesn’t get any worse.
Many murderers do not go to prison for life. At 14 she probably had little understanding of how much trouble she was in.
@margaretwilkett7830 well, she understands now.
it was not real yet
Not accurate. My best friend was murdered during a robbery of his parents' business. The adult murderer got 20 years with the possibility of parole. No justice was done in that courtroom. It should always be a life for a life.
Hearing all the jurors individually confirm their guilty pleas must really force home the reality of her sitting.
Earlier she was in the courtroom laughing.
Not so funny now
And they'd her drinking coke 😂
It is because she was nervous.
she had a very different demeanor in court when the jury wasn't around...
She was? Oh dear. Do we know what made her laugh?
She thought she could claim “insanity” and get away with murder. She played herself and Justice prevailed. She’s exactly where she needs to be. 😢
Im so glad! She really thought she was getting away with it!
I really don't know about that- it's such a strange case with such a strange defendant and such a strange set of circumstances. Whether or not she thought she had a real shot at acquittal it must be a shock to hear the decision come down.

Spot on
I agree the step-father wasn't and isn't living in reality.
What issues does the stepfather have?
Exactly. She sits there with the whoas me and crying only for herself but what did she think would happen?? She killed her mother in cold blood. So senseless. So unnecessary. We all have had hard times growing up and being rebellious as a teen but that doesn’t mean we kill our parents or others when we don’t get our way or don’t like the situation. SMH. She deserves this verdict and sentence.
Exactly.
she really thought she'd get away with it
JMO someone told her she'd "pay lots of money" and get to go home She got that idea from somewhere
Should have taken the plea deal. Her actions clearly indicated that she knew what she was doing was wrong, so an insanity defense was never going to fly.
Sad as it is Carly has no one to blame but herself.....
✨Her adult lawyer failed her. 40 years was a gift. Now she will be in prison for the rest of her life.
Thank goodness
It’s possible that it was her choice to go against her lawyers advice and risk going to trial. She gets to make the final decision.

Maybe her family had something to do with her choice not to take the deal. Stepdad looked like he couldn't believe it.
Guilty as charged, 100% unanimous decision. She does not deserve a short sentence.

Lots happened between her landing on earth and shooting mom
The girl I saw in the kitchen video absolutely knew she was doing something wrong and was trying to hide what she was doing. She was never insane. It sucks that she threw her life away at such a young age, but she made her choice.
It was freaky how her eyes switched and focused immediately onto each juror as they were called to confirm their verdict.
That face when the guilty plea was read
Justice has been served.
Her lawyers should have advised her properly she would have been better off taking the 40 year plea deal and she would have been paroled after 30 years she would have been out by 40 years old, instead of going to trial and getting life. Why would her lawyers tell her to attempt this silly insanity defense?🤦🏻♀️.
I’m proud of the jury for seeing this for what this was. She is a spoiled sociopathic murderer and she deserves everything she gets.
She would have only been up for parole it doesn’t mean she would have full on been granted it. There is a process to go through.
Possibly Little Carly insisted she knew more than her two lawyers.
I think your Attorney tells you the choices and give the client their recommendation but it's up to the Client to make the final choice
The judge literally told her the choice to accept or reject the plea deal was hers and only hers. The lawyers couldn’t tell her which way to sway and they couldn’t influence her. She made her own choice to reject the 40 years.
So sad on so many levels

Yea but you have to look at it she’s a 14 year old child. There’s soo many different things running through her mind right now. Im sure she regrets doing what she did. And the female defense attorney knows she’s only a 14 year old. That’s hard for anyone to grasp and she’s not entirely sure whether it was because she was Mentally Unstable or if it was deliberate.
Why? Forgiveness.
