Lawyers like Actors are professional liars. They have to act like they know everything and explain the case despite the fact they don't. Despite that we the unwashed masses know that Carly was guilty, she is still entitled to due process and rights in the court of law. She is also entitled to a dogged defense and that includes using every trick they can think of to get her off or lower her punishment.

@@TrustbutVerify35 Mercy? Geezus, no wonder there's kids out there shooting up schools, because of 'understanding' parents. She can appeal. If her case is so compelling, it will be overturned. If not, it won't. BTW, Judgement Notwithstanding the Verdict means that the jury ignored every piece of obvious exculpatory evidence, and went completely against their oath to be impartial, and found a defendant guilty.
An example would be, a man is accused of murder and there's an eyewitness to a man standing over a body. The elderly man (eyewitness) claims it was the defendant. The defendant, however, was out of town at a wedding, and calls 10 witnesses to verify his location. The jury was shown the murder scene, which the defense claimed to be prejudicial and tried to have removed as evidence. The judge denied it. Defendant is found guilty.
Since the appellate courts only deal in matter of law, his whereabouts wouldn't/couldn't be in question. What the defense would have a right to argue is that displaying the murdered victim and gore, prejudiced the jury. This is why JNOV (Judgement Notwithstanding...) will not be honored, here.

I knew a friend who took LSD in the early 90s and has never come out of the trip. It altered her mind forever. Now is that my friend having mental illness, yes. But drug induced is not something that could be hereditary and passed on. Carley Gregg hiding that gun from the view of the camera while she texted her step-dad is proof she knew what she was doing. The gun is never visible in that video. She knew that as long as her mom was alive, she couldn’t take that camera down. She had to kill get mom first. That’s calculated. Last thing I have to say is that Todd lawyer is a liar and a snake. She tried her best to weasel her way out of the charges.

Depression does not cause someone to murder. A sociopath kills. Defense lawyer needs to be educated on mental health.
Carly also wanting to murder her step-father. She is one evil young lady. She does need help to release the evil within her for certain.
With respect to appeal, rarely approved, doubt Carly will be granted to leave prison. As the saying goes, "you reap what you sow".

  • @limlianhui9462

Carly’s attorney’s are really milking the mental health angle. During an episode, Schizophrenic sufferers talk to themselves a lot, while bi-polar is serious mood swings, a lot of shouting, throwing things, being completely illogical-symptoms are very noticeable and the sufferer wouldn’t be able to act completely normal to anyone like we see her do on the home security cameras and the police footage. She moved purposefully, concealed the gun behind her back twice - when taking it to kill her mother and then when going back to the kitchen to retrieve her phone on the counter. Someone going through an episode of mental illness cannot even think logically, let alone plan things-they keep on reacting. They blow up, shouting and screaming, in a violent episode might hurt or kill whoever is in their path, and don’t stop until they are forcibly stopped or the episode ends.

This is a genuine question, I really want to know because I don't see many people rallying around them. If you look at the facts of this case what Carly did was equally horrible even if she only had one victim. Colt seems to have had more issues that Carly that contributed to his mental health with an addict mom, possible DV in the home, and being bullied. Same with Ethan. So why?
