When winding anything clockwork , older watches and clocks , my father told me you gently count the number of times you wind to fully wound, and from then on each time you need to wind ,wind it one revolution less . In this way , there is no strain on the mechanism .

When you TMI about your teeth swimming, you actually blushed a little. You are such a nice looking young man, great husband, father and entrepreneur. I found you back in the beginning of the Potters house. A history buff, a preserver of lost treasures, you truly have a way to spark the memories of us Sr Citizens. As a grandmother, I love to show my grandkids what I played with or used when I was a kid. I had a doll called Baby Secret, a lot like the Chatty Kathy with the string you would pull to have her speak in a whisper. I think late 50's or early 60's. She was dressed in Red. If you find a Baby Secret out there, let me know. Good video today....

If that basement does not have a sump pump, you should consider one. The moisture in the corner of the basement is never a good sign. It may not flood, or may not flood often, by risk it all. An ounce of prevention beats a pound of cure. By the way, I lost some old Waylon Jennings reel-to-reel tapes and an old reel-to-reel player to a flooded basement. I had an Uncle that worked in music for a bit. I still have one of his surviving 45s.

I don't know if you get The Repair Shop TV programme over in Canada, it is a UK production from the BBC. They restore old items which the public bring in, that have a special meaning to the owner. The remote car you have they restored and got it working, the key was a man refuelling the car. They had found an old advert for the car and they made a replica key as the original had been lost. They also fixed an old clocking on clock and got it fully functional. Very interesting programme if you every get to see it. Good luck with the auction.

One of my favorite parts of you efforts is watching the online auctions as you sit and see your stuff being sold. We get to hear you say what you have in a particular object and then see what it sells for. Sometimes you get burnt but other items surprise even you and make up for it. That's the one thrilling part about an auction. No one can predict which item a bidder or bidders will go crazy for or how bad they want it. I've said before, I have copd. I leave the house about once a month. If I walk outside in the summer, I just can't breathe that air. So, watching channels like yours brings the outside world in to those who can't get out. I and many others appreciate your efforts. Remember in your store and new shop to switch to LED bulbs! My electric bill dropped from $300 to $240 a month after I switched every single light bulb inside and out. Dimmer bulbs in the dining room and in the ceiling fans really help set a great atmosphere whether you needed max lighting or just enough to have an evening dinner with family and friends. So in your store, where lights burn all the time, you'd save rather then sending that check to the electric company!

Ugh broken cast iron pipes😭 We found out right before Christmas last year that all the cast iron pipes in our foundation would need to be repaired all the repairs and getting our house back to normal afterwards has cost almost $40,000😭😭😭 an absolute nightmare

Don't worry if your teeth are swimming as long as your eyeballs aren't floating. Also you may want to consider earplugs to keep anything from dribbling out due to overflow.
