Alex, you're so persistently directed in your searches and dig through such daunting collections of junk that no one could say you get "easy money" ! As a long-term, regular viewer you are in a league of your own for industry, creativity and motivation. Sometimes, such as today, it's possible to feel the energy drain and fatigue that you go through to make the magic happen. You are generous in sharing information and never-ever seeming greedy or scheming in your exchanges with the people you work and deal with. Best wishes to you, your amazing wife and children... each of you are a gift to humanity.
Beautifully written!! You said all the things I feel in my heart! They are an amazing family! For those of us that’s been watching for some time.... you can see in his face he’s tired but just keeps going! But I just wanted you to know your comment was beautifully written!!! Stay safe Kathy B
I appreciate your incredibly vast knowledge of items from so many eras. Most TH-camrs aren’t nearly as knowledgeable as you. It makes sense since you own an antique store, but I learn a lot and enjoy a walk down memory lane occasionally. This is my favorite type of video since I’m not going to estate sales or thrifting now. We all live vicariously as you pick through piles of who knows what!
The wrappers and boxes would be very neat looking as "wallpaper" type thing maybe in kitchen area of your store. Very neat and cool ideas for found in this video!
Alex , you have an amazing eye for old things - we watch in amazement the things you come across . We're also baffled at the prices you fetch at auction for such treasures - you deserve to earn a lot more for your pieces at auction !!! Have you considered looking into larger auction houses in the U.S where they may have a more upscale audience , for example Christy's or others ? People who appreciate old things understand that when we purchase these kinds of items - we are purchasing a part of history that is gone forever - that is what makes these items so valuable especially if you are purchasing something just for the love of it . i hope you will consider looking into my suggestion . The batch for auction you showcased today is wonderful and i know you could get a hell of a lot more for them with the right audience . Good - luck Alex 👍
Alex! Wow! The lunch boxes! The vintage Sesame Street! That 2nd wooden display case...It’s old glass, it’s thick and you can see the waves in it! And the long solid boards of the old display cases...you can repurpose the wood for shelving
Awesome!! The fisher price sesame street house brings back memories of my niece and nephews stepping on those figures in the middle of the night going to the bathroom. They learned to put them away. LOL ;)
If you like old packaging, and should you ever find yourself in the UK, you should go to the Museum of Brands in London. It is really fascinating to see all the old packets and wrappers, especially the ones I remember from my childhood.
Fun -666! I don’t know about the fun part but that did happen to my sister at the DMV and she did asked for a different one. They thought she was kidding but she refused it and they gave her a different one. Praying you do well with the auction! Enjoy your family this weekend!
I wish you lived close to me. I have a house I bought full of stuff. It's overwhelming. It all looks like junk at this point but I know there's amazing things if someone wanted them.
When you said about the 100 year old violin it reminded me of a joke by the British comedian/magician Tommy Cooper. I went up into the attic and found a Stradivarius and a Rembrandt. Unfortunately Stradivarius was a terrible painter and Rembrandt made lousy violins.
Lots of super cool items. My favorite has to be the nostalgic Sesame street fisher price set! Memories (you know you just sang it, lol). Awesome score. Can't wait to see them put in the store.
It's nice to see you repurpose all the old advertising products and put back to use or displayed... Love the Piedmont cigarette advertising sign in the chair it's a very cool piece... Good luck in your auction soon... Stay safe...👍💕🔥⚾😷
I loved the wooden drawers from a hardware shop for nails etc. There is a comedy sketch called Four Candles by the two Ronnies,a famous pair of comedians from England(Ronnie Corbett was Scottish)worth watching and based on a real situation.
I'm involved with people that do vintage, so the display case without glass would have hardware wire stapled it it. It could still work as a display case that way. Just a thought for you to consider. Some of that stuff makes me feel old when you start describing it. Hahaha
Piedmont chair would be of big interest to vintage baseball collectors as PIedmont backs were common on the old 1909-1911 baseball cards amongst others.
At 15:07 you got probably something worth money for the right person who collect theses kind of stuff, admission tickets to Disneyland if they are official could be selling for a good price, they look pristine to me.
At 16:27 my brother has the one that looks like a woody wagon or one that looks similar to it... He won't clean out the dust that's in it so I might have to do it for him when he's not around so that it's not as dusty... The dust has been in it for a very long time...
@@CuriosityIncorporated I will definitely be watching for this.the last one i saw with the pieces was $375. I can't spend that much but i can spend $100-$150.
Highlight of my visit to Edmonton last week was getting to visit your store. What an awesome adventure meeting you and actually being in the store I follow. I saw Mrs Beasley but opted to purchase one of your hats for my daughter instead. 👍 Hudsons Bay
It is amazing what you have opened my eyes up to what has value.Great finds some of which I certainly would have never thought of. Good luck with your auction. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
I have a bracelet like that brooch. My husband said his dad brought it back from Capri after WWII .. Almost threw it away the other day because it was something just found in a lot of clutter as I was tossing it he told me the story . I was shocked hadn't been better taken care of .
Alex have you considered either buying or leasing a 20 foot or 40 foot shipping container to store your stock in either while the new addition is being built or as general extra storage space Surely you could fit a 20 foot container behind the shop? At least you could have stock ready to go when the addition is finished Tony from Western Australia

Well said; I couldn't agree more.
My sentiments exactly!
Thank you Elizabeth, and you’re right it’s rarely easy money :)

I agree 100%!
😎😎😎 The hardest working man in the antique business.

thank you for the great content, upbeat attitude and the interesting people and projects you bring into the channel. Keep up the great work.
The "Viking Taxi" sign would be something for Hans and his truck
Fun idea
Always so much fun exploring the older stuff. Antiquing is sort of archeology, with some surprises that may be found.
The movie poster was for the 1934 movie It Happened One Night starring Clark Gable and Claudette Colbert. I love that movie
Denise T yes and that scene with Clark Gable eating the carrot was, I heard, the inspiration for Bugs Bunny...
We love your family and hope all good things happen for you all! ♥️ from Kentucky
Maybe use the brass door frame on the front of your new building.
You know you're old when you see the same lunch box (Peanuts lunchbox) you used as a kid being dug up to be sold at an antique store.
Haha, you know you are older when you remember packing your kids lunch in it!🤗
The wrappers and boxes would be very neat looking as "wallpaper" type thing maybe in kitchen area of your store. Very neat and cool ideas for found in this video!
Fun digging through such a wide variety of cool stuff!! Thanks!,! 💖💖💖💖
That place may deserve a second trip. You found some good stuff 👍

That garage was sort of a one-stop-shop for antique and vintage fun. Very cool pick! Thank you.👍🏼🤘🏼😎
Awesome!! The fisher price sesame street house brings back memories of my niece and nephews stepping on those figures in the middle of the night going to the bathroom. They learned to put them away. LOL ;)
What fun that looks like. To dig thru history would be my kind of day.
If you like old packaging, and should you ever find yourself in the UK, you should go to the Museum of Brands in London. It is really fascinating to see all the old packets and wrappers, especially the ones I remember from my childhood.
Barry Francis loved that place!
Cool!
Alex, you're spoiling us! Keep 'em coming! ❤︎
👍👌👏 Very well done again. Glad to see that 2 of your children helped.
Best regards, luck and health to all of you.
Looks like a great selection of items for auction. I am sure you will do good.
I like the vintage harmonica
I had that sesame street house. It brought back good memories to see it. Big bird was my favorite!
Joshua could repurpose the wood in the cabinets that are missing the glass💕😍
Love the posters from the Crystal. Love it even more that you know how to pronounce my hometown's name. Watching from AZ. Love your content.
" Pickin and a Grinnin....!!" Very fun and interesting items you found here, Alex! Thanks for sharing this with us! Peace to all....💜💙💜

There must be a dealer locally who would jump on that for you
Your realtor should be able to direct you to professional organizers that can help you sort the trash from the treasures.
Oh my god it has the people .i will definitely be watching for this. As long as it doesn't go over $100 .
super beautiful Hohner Goliath! Oh EASY MONEY! Hope all the best to your company and Family!
This was a fun dig, and delightful to see your young people again, God bless you all.
Good Morning Alex, Thank you for another fun and info filled video..love to you
You should make 1-2 more trips to pick up more from there. So many more treasures to find!!
Collars were separate from the shirt? LOL!
I am 52yrs old. I have never heard collars were separate from the shirt. Hysterical!!
Some neat stuff you found! I will have to stop by next week to take a look.
You got some wonderful finds on that trip. It pays to be adventurous.
can't wait to see the old packages stuffed and on the top shelve.
I could use that old drawer set for my classroom to hold supplies for students
I love watching your videos, friend! You are a good soul and I wish I was more like you! Good luck with all your endeavors!!! 👍❤️
“If you wanted to cut the cheese in the old days”...Alex, you and the Dad jokes. Hilarious!!!
🤣😂🤣💚🤘👍✌

"Just Like that"
Good luck with the auction. Awesome collection.
That cabinet would be awesome for seed storage...js
Alex and CI on a Sunday afternoon! Hurrah!

Your knowledge of everything amazes me!
I used to play with a Sesame Street set just like that with all the characters & stuff.
I can see what keeps you engaged with.your work. Endless excitement discovering vintage treasure!
I loved the wooden drawers from a hardware shop for nails etc. There is a comedy sketch called Four Candles by the two Ronnies,a famous pair of comedians from England(Ronnie Corbett was Scottish)worth watching and based on a real situation.
Great selection of items
Lots of cool finds. Take care
I really hope we can watch these things auctioned WITH YOU Alex xxx
I spent many happy hours of my childhood playing with my Sesame Street play set. Blast from the past! LOL!
Hey, recognize the flower brooch. Had one years ago...got to look for it.!!
WONDERFUL! I'm looking forward to seeing your store all organized again, once the lots are gone to the auction house.
I'm involved with people that do vintage, so the display case without glass would have hardware wire stapled it it. It could still work as a display case that way. Just a thought for you to consider.
Some of that stuff makes me feel old when you start describing it. Hahaha
man what a beautiful store and neighbourhood you are in , we were there on the weekend and were very impressed, my friend bought the old radio.
I love the peanuts lunch box! wish I could get something like that for my mom.
So sad to see the collie go!!! It’s Epic!
My favorite is the Playskool house!
You've got the best stowaways❣
Neat stuff, lots of unique items....good luck with the auction.
Lots of cool stuff!!!!
Enjoyed. Great finds.
Omg i played with that sesame playset 💜
Thank you. Good episode. I look forward to the auction video!!
Piedmont chair would be of big interest to vintage baseball collectors as PIedmont backs were common on the old 1909-1911 baseball cards amongst others.
nice finds and thank you for the upload!
Creating good memories with your kids
Now don’t forget that beautiful lady in the frame Alex. That would bring the customer in. 😆😆😆😆👍🏻
It would be cool to watch you and your family play some of those old games you find
I don't know how I missed this video🙄..Going to watch it right now !!
At 15:07 you got probably something worth money for the right person who collect theses kind of stuff, admission tickets to Disneyland if they are official could be selling for a good price, they look pristine to me.
I like the Piedmont chair back; T206 baseball cards were found in Piedmont cigarette packs and some cards have Piedmont advertising on back.
looks like a place Josh would like...
I would have killed for that 6 Million Dollar Man lunch box back in the day!
At 16:27 my brother has the one that looks like a woody wagon or one that looks similar to it...
He won't clean out the dust that's in it so I might have to do it for him when he's not around so that it's not as dusty... The dust has been in it for a very long time...
you have to get that beaded curtain it’s brill!
Wouldn't that beaded curtain work well if you had to go through it to get to the Zoltar Speaks machine and have your fortune told!!!
ItsJust OurNature what a fantastic idea!
I got it :)
the new intro is stellar.
I'm glad you grabbed that Sesame Street playset, I saw it in the box and when you didn't grab it I was thinking "NOOOOO!!! Grab it" lol.
Please say you brought the Fisher price little people set back with you. It's the much looked for seseam street set.
Yes it will be going to auction sept 26
@@CuriosityIncorporated I will definitely be watching for this.the last one i saw with the pieces was $375. I can't spend that much but i can spend $100-$150.
A hundred year old beaded curtain! I would buy it for the beads!
Call the shop
I love that Peanuts lunch pail!
Amazing items. ❤️
More cool finds....i hope u can go back 😀
OMG I had both of those lunchboxes when I was in grade school! :) (Peanuts and Six Million Dollar Man.)
Great episode!
"Wow, ....... and you kept them./?" Funny.
erad67 I laughed at that too! The way he said it sounded like he was trying to be very diplomatic. I notice he bought them though
Bye Mrs. Beasley 😿
Hope you find a nice new home where someone loves you.
It could be you :)
Highlight of my visit to Edmonton last week was getting to visit your store. What an awesome adventure meeting you and actually being in the store I follow. I saw Mrs Beasley but opted to purchase one of your hats for my daughter instead. 👍 Hudsons Bay
When I was a child I used my Xmas allowance to buy myself a Mrs. Beasley doll; skimped on family gifts....
I want the mohair bear and the Mrs. Beasley doll. I will bid on those in the future. Nice vlog.
I hope you have the winning bid!
It is amazing what you have opened my eyes up to what has value.Great finds some of which I certainly would have never thought of. Good luck with your auction. Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤
I’ve coveted that Collie since I watched your first video. But I plan to retire next year, and I swore I would not buy any more stuff.
I have a bracelet like that brooch. My husband said his dad brought it back from Capri after WWII .. Almost threw it away the other day because it was something just found in a lot of clutter as I was tossing it he told me the story . I was shocked hadn't been better taken care of .
Good luck with your sale, Alex! JJ
Now them to Kids look like New! That Boy looks just like you!
you brought some awesome stuff for the auction and then go and find even more awesome stuff! lol
Alex have you considered either buying or leasing a 20 foot or 40 foot shipping container to store your stock in either while the new addition is being built or as general extra storage space

I remember when you first got that SHOESHINE CHAIR it’s awesome
