I don't know much about foreign cars but I've done throw out bearings by just separating the tranny and rolling it back with a floor jack. Takes 2 guys but wasn't too hard
Grind the opening out a bit maybe? Or the outer edge of the clutch fork? Not very familiar with S2K transmissions but hey, easier removal and installation after that
I was installing a junk yard motor, and it was either out of an automatic, or I was installing it into an automatic.... long story short, it had to come right back out, after a long time attempting to get it to mate, so I could remove the pilot bearing. Long time ago, but I've never forgotten to check since... lol
NOICE! Done that. But at least mine was a lot easier. I did that on a '73 Datsun pickup. Splining was a pain in the ass and after struggling for nearly 15minutes and feeling like I was having a heart attack, I got it splined, bolted on and nearly ready to go when my dad kicked my foot (i was laying on my back under the truck) and he waved the clutch fork at me... "Hey, you need this part?".... FUDGE! Yeah, I had a nice relaxing lunch before diving back under there.
That motor or trans, will be out and in several times over the life of anything modified.... consider it practice. Appreciate the lesson learned, and use this experience to find a short cut or 2...🤷♂️
Did a long block on a mustang 2.3L manual (first clutch ive had to install) after putting everything together when I tried to shift into gear it wouldn’t while the vehicle was on and at idle. I did not check for a pilot bearing on the new engine so the trans wouldn’t shift 💀 I had to drop the trans just to fix it 😔
First time I changed a press in bearing I pressed against the outer race and damaged it 😅 Second try, same bearing perfect press!!! Forgot the circlip Third time I was wicked happy the whole knuckle and bearing was $30 both for $50 at andersons
I feel your pain. I installed a 350 and everything was fine when I tried to start it I realized i forgot the flex plate. YA I FEEL FOR YA
Ain't nothing can be done about it. Just do it and get it over with
yep. If its worth doing, its worth doing 3x
fr lol i’d bitch around a bit but then grab a drink put music on and get to work

Definitely considered it!

Sawzall says no problem
Work it harder, make it better
Do it faster, makes us stronger
lower the front of the subframe 1 inch and the rear about 4-5 inches and you will have the room to take it back out
Anything worth doing is worth doing twice right?
you didn't even finish your job yet you have an instant back job 😂 I feel you pain 💀

*most* manual transmissions are this way! 😊
Just gotta pull the box and do it.
Joy of joys, but at least it'll be done.

Whitch accessories you used? Water pump housing, idle pulley? Alternator?
Practice round.
Yessir 😂
How stupid, that's the same with every manual clutch. Hydraulic clutches, and slave cylinders can be different.
Even stupider is the fact that I’ve done this job before and know better 😂
Have you tried coming to it next month?
Exactly what I’m doing 😂. Future me problem.
man, i feel yo pain, but why are you putting that engine in that car? isn't the original one better? if you wanted torque just buy a camaro.
Got to suck.
Can't you grind the hole bigger?
Considered doing that actually 😂
Turn your MAN CARD
I already drive a Honda, can’t turn it in twice 🤷.
Sell it! Your not worthy.

Third time is the charm 😂😂😂
If you done it right the first time it wouldn’t be an issue 🤷♂️
